Truth, Justice and the Quahog Way – How Did You Do?

So after 6 long weeks of fighting villains, Truth, Justice and the Quahog Way is drawing to a close. The clock is running down and soon all that will be left for us to do is incorporate all the cool new stuff into our current towns.

But as well as enjoying sharing information on here, I’m also a bit of a nosey devil and like to gather some, so I was wondering if my fellow addicts would be willing to complete a poll for me.

This poll is really just to see how you all did. I thoroughly enjoyed this event, it certainly kept me busy and I am happy with my haul, I’m hoping many of my fellow addicts are too, and for those who missed out on characters, I hope they will make a return in the future for you, villains and superheroes usually do, lol.

So take a minute away from your games and share your success with us. For the moment ignore any results that show as I will be analysing these to give proper finalised results in a later post.

If you’ve any tips to help players with events please leave a comment also.

  1. Made it to week four in this one, and unlocked Batman Brian and Green Lantern before the end. Made level 19, and amassed enough currency that I had 500 or so plastic rings left over, even after buying all the last-minute decos. Might have completed the event if not for the stupidly rare drop on the super-vitamins.

My progress in events overall has suffered since way back in February with the Princess Bride event. It’s as if TinyCo forgot (or just stopped caring) how to make events enjoyable and achievable for freemium players.

  2. Got all the items in the tower. Made it to level 20. I’ve found if there’s a character to unlock at the beginning it’s best to use clams there and give yourself a good head start. I did it this time and it’s the only event I’ve ever completed. The thing I was annoyed most about is that I got the bat cave on the limited timer and then in the next phase there’s one almost identical for a low cost of kryptonite

  3. I love the game I only wish it was easier to get clams and to have more of the characters we unlock ,too help with getting the items needed to advance to the next stages better, especially if you are paying for it, whats the point of getting these new characters and not have them help in getting ahead a bit easier ,so that we don’t have to keep waiting a long time before we have to get the item we need to do the quest , it drags out too long and all the building u get if we can’t put all of them out, maybe they can give the option to sell them for clams or coins so that we Can get better rewards or something like that, instead of it be kept in our storage and I love to be able to expand so I can use the stuff I got from the game and what with have to pay out so many clams in order to win a prize or to buy new characters wouldn’t so bad if it was 50 or 75 clams rather than 200 hundred or more I’m sure the gamers are raking in alot of money from the game now to be able give the fans a break from paying out all the clams they already makes it very hard to get everything in the game as it is maybe it time to give a little be back to the fans of the game ,just thought I’d share my thoughts on these issues I think that could be considered but I still love this game

  4. This is the first event that I actually put effort into after a long break. I played some other near past events too, I just didn’t try so hard. And, with a non-crazy amount of effort, which does include forgetting or just not logging in for hours to days even when I could have, Im happy with what I got. Wonder woman, green Lantern, joker, aquaman, cheetah bonnie, cat woman Lois, batman brian, and of course superman Peter. I’m finally happy with this game again. If I had known there’d be a sixth week I might have even tried to get to it, but I don’t care that much.

  5. i never made it past level 7… it became glaringly apparent early on that this was gonna require a buttload of clams to keep up with and nothing about it interested me enough to try. i got super peter and wonder woman, then used the time to clean up my ridiculously long task list and to FINALLY get loretta unlocked – after a full year – ** **** – of trying to get that last earring!

looking forward to not playng whatever the next high-priced “event” is going to be… lol

  6. Got Captain Cold Quagmire just last night. Never even finished the Week 5 quests. Same old story with these large events. Start off ok, then get bottlenecked about halfway through, finish about a week behind.

  7. I only got Wonder Woman, lois and bonnie. The saying ” you get what you pay for” couldn’t be more apt. I realised after week two how difficult it would be (luck or not) so decided to give up. This game has been slowly becoming more money orientated. I understand, it’s a business and it’s my choice to not pay to play. Good luck in all future events and keep up the good work with this site.

  8. Wondering if it’s just me. I easily collected enough POW to reach the 20th level during phase 4, but I was unable to get to phase 6 or get Lex or Captain Cold Quagmire. Shouldn’t both parts of the game be just as difficult. I even have a ton of rings left over. I didn’t buy anyone with clams and failed at getting Aquaman. Is that strange?

    • Did you spend your rings on the Arkham buildings? Wayne Tower etc. And buy the Bane and Gorilla Grodd NPC’s? I managed to spend all of them, but I did buy a lot of duplicate things (ice cannon, chemical silo things). I am 100% freemium and I got Captain Cold, and the building for Poison Ivy but not Poison Ivy herself. I was almost exactly 50% through getting Lex. I was close to getting Aquaman but ran out of time (half a day more and I would’ve had him)

    • (adds to my other comment); it was the same with me! I got to POW level20(MAX) at the end of phase4 stuff as well so i didn’t get Captain Cold Quagmire, Lex Luthor, Poison Ivy or whoever/whatever was in the end of phase 5 and phase 6 nothing at all.

  9. Something’s gone a little wrong with the event removal… I still have event quests in my menu and Poison Ivy remains standing outside her building, even though I can’t earn stuff for her anymore as the drops and event area no longer exist! lol

    • Looks like there’s some things needing tidied up, I’ve a building still dropping hooks. The event quests that are related to new characters usually carry over.

    • I’m still getting plastic rings and pills… 🙂 I’m working on side quests from the event and rings and pills are still in task lists and also rings are still rewards for completing parts of quests. Also some of the stuff bought before with the rings are missing some parts, such as the Stewie and Brian statues and their signals (the buildings were still there). Nothing left in the store for the event, though. Probably will be fixed with an app update, they just did a removal in-game.

  10. I did pretty well – got all the freemium unlockables except for Lex Luthor, who I didn’t want or try for. Just fought him long enough to get Captain Cold unlocked with the glasses he dropped. Bought Batman and Flash with my clam tv pile of free clams, didn’t want the rest of the premium characters anyway. Also bought the clam-generating Fortress of Solitude which more than paid for itself (basically made Batman more affordable). Batman helped with pills and both he and Flash helped with the fights to get stuff for kryptonite. Plus they are pretty funny to watch. Used up all my plastic rings on the junk they added at the last minute that will go into storage… Although I have a lot of cat trees now strategically placed all over town plus one big litter box outside Slasher Cat’s den. I might keep the big mansion (that dropped rings) and Batman Brian’s bat cave out permanently, certainly the green plane that flies around town. The gorilla maybe also. Good haul, actually.

This might be the first time I actually got all the way to the end of an event! As soon as I was down to just trying to unlock Poison Ivy yesterday (thought I would need clams for those cans, but didn’t), I started working on all the side quests I had ignored during the event. Another first, I might actually clear out the list before the next event. Maybe.

  11. I think I did really well as a freemium player who started in Feb this year.
Got all the characters and skins up to Green Lantern. Bought Batman. Made it to when Lex Luther shows up. Got the cat in the challenges and every building they made us get. Still have 150 rings left after buying all the items available except 3 buildings that I don’t like. Even bought 2 cannons, because you can always use a spare snowball cannon.

Going on a 7 day cruise a week from Saturday, so I’ll fall far behind on the new pirate them.

  12. To me, this was the smoothest event I have seen in about a year. That is thru week 4. Once week 5 hit, I was done. Actually completed the first 4 weeks on time and had kryptonite ready to start the next week. Then I hit the wall. The vitamins completely dried up.

I didn’t get the building for the skates until 2 days after week 6 started. Took 3 days to get the 10 skates and got Quagmire 2 days ago, which means no Luthor. So, naturally, I didn’t get a single item from week 6.

But, for 4 weeks I enjoyed playing this game once again. It’s been awhile.

PS. Thank you Tigger for picking up the flag and leading us thru. The community greatly appreciates it.👍

  13. Need 10 more joker things. Need 11 more bombs so I’m gonna speed up tasks and pay clams for that as I spend alot of time on joker and just want to get him.

Really want tinyco to make phases 2 weeks and have like 3 phases. Too hard. They should make the game cost money in the app store as it’s a freemium nightmare

  14. I did really badly in this event. I never many pills to drop. I bought 600 clams and used them all to only get as far as earning the Green Lantern a few days ago and have not made it to level 20.

  15. Not sure how TC did the calculations for the freemium players but i’ve been working on Lex for two weeks now and still won’t get him.
I’m still confused as to why TC would add something in there if you can’t earn him…..

    • I earned him freemium Lee, but it required luck as well as constant playing. I just hit it lucky with my pulse choices in his downtime. Sorry you didn’t get him, hopefully he’ll be back, oops wrong move.

    • You may have to speed up some drops with clams, that’s how I did it for the Joker. The Joker was so intense, I decided not to try for Lex, as it looked to be harder!

      Like

    • I would have needed at least another week to get Lex, but fortunately I didn’t want him. So I didn’t work on him once all the glasses for Captain Cold dropped. Much less stressful that way… The long tasks needed for those pulses were a big problem, especially since I started the phase late. Starting on time was probably important for getting him.

I’m surprised I managed to get Poison Ivy, since I was so late getting into the last phase. I still had to collect kryptonite for the last two non-freakin’ hard buildings also. But I could see that she would cost me a lot less than 100 clams if I didn’t get enough arrows and watering cans, so I wasn’t stressed about that. No clams needed, fortunately.

  18. Was good going for 3 weeks but after that the things you collected that was needed for week 1-2 are not needed but are still collect. Got 1000’s of rings with nothing to do with them. 1000’s of bags of money the same, and 100’s of bags of gold all pointlessly collecting. Then the pill drops were awful lots of fights and very lucky if I got 8 pills a day. So as soon as the kryptonite cost went up my progress crashed. 4-5 was slow was about 3 days behind but week 5 was awful nearly 2weeks to finish it, which was today and just started week 6 but now the event is over. Do tiny co not listen to people, this event should be half a week longer. But they will bin it and throw another event at us making all the same errors again.

  19. I don’t know if it is my imagination but these events seem harder than they used to be. I only got as far as green lantern and i won’t have enough time to unlock him now. I enjoyed the event but just wish i could have got a bit further but hey ho 😃

  20. This event seems to have been well planned so that casual occasional players could probably get some things, maybe completing two or three phases, people who play often and spend a few video clams could most likely get a lot of stuff, playing most of the phases, and premium players could get most or all of it, and probably finish the event. This is how it seems to work, yes?

    • I agree, getting it all freemium is extremely tough, not impossible but require playing more than the average person probably will. But free characters are free characters in my book.

  21. Annoyed I had an issue with Phase 6 not loading as scheduled (TinyCo was not very helpful in resolving) so I ended up days behind on the final phase and losing out on Poison Ivy and the others. I also don’t know how people were able to get Lex Luther. I was on the game a lot and always had characters collecting the bombs to fight him. I would usually make it through 4x and usually 5x and will still come up about 8 short (I’m 25 short in my 2nd game/device). While it is fun for the most part it would be nice to COMPLETE an event… I think THAT would be more fun.

    • I managed to get Lex, I only ever defeated him to 4X, but it was tough and needed a little luck in building up the right pulses during his downtime. I got lucky, sorry you weren’t.

  22. In thought this was the best event for some time. I did use clams to buy some of the characters, I didn’t bother with batman or green arrow and didnt try and get robin stewie. I completed the main quest and acquired all the character costumes that were available with event currency and didn’t need to use clams to speed up or purchase. For me as someone who is mainly freemium but happy to drop a little cash for clams occasionally, this was a perfect event. I will miss it!

  23. I thoroughly enjoyed this event. Very frustrating at times yes, but all and all I’m very pleased that this event made me feel like tiny co is not going for the usual cash grab. Huge thanks to bunny, Russian tigger, and all the others that have made sacrifices/contributions to this site. I’m very satisfied with my haul for being mostly freemium. I didn’t feel forced to spend real money, but the slow stock pile of clams they offer us for free.

  24. The world keeps conspiring against me playing Family Guy. The one job I had wifi at just changed services and now I don’t have a password. So I’m left playing early early morning or late at night at home. Unless I want to use a ton of data.
Speaking of ton, my phone tells me Family Guy now takes up 3 gigs of memory. That’s a lot of stuff! Can’t imagine if I were IAP!

I did manage to get Batman Brian this morning and he was one of my two main goals. Missed out on Green Lantern cause of timer.

Oh well. Might go through this new event before I think of quitting the game.

Is your game connected to Facebook? If so you can uninstall and reinstall the game to massively reduce the space it takes up! When you reinstall it you’ll need to play the tutorial for a few mins before you can log back in. When you change user make sure to select your high level account and not the new tutorial one!

      • Had no idea that could help! I’ll try it when I get a free moment. Lol
Only have two FB friends playing so I don’t really pay attention to that part or neighbors.

Btw big thanks to Tigger nThornberry for helping our poor Bunny out. I’d have quit long ago without this site. Wish I could have time to play more and help out.

        • It does help, last time I did it few months ago my game went down to less than 1gb, now it’s sitting at 1.2gb. Just remember anyone else out there considering uninstalling and reinstalling, follow what wildthornberry88 said and make sure your game is saved.

  25. In your defense, RussianTigger, if a person were to actually read your post in its entirety, they’d see that you already made it very clear that to ignore whichever stats are indicated as you would be providing a PROPER analysis of your own.

On a different note, I only got Superman Man Peter, Catwoman Lois, & Aquaman – however, I only downloaded this game several weeks ago. I hate to admit it, but this damn game has me addicted; I keep mental track of when everything is due to be available (time-wise), & when I wake up multiple times throughout the night, I make sure to open the game & continue on before going back to sleep in order to progress as quickly as possible. Tomorrow’s event will obviously be the first event that I will be able to play from its launch, so I’ll likely be able to collect most everything that the event has to offer minus expensive items that require clams – however, I’m good to save up clans as I go; I’ve accumulated 45 in the past 2-3 days (25 of which was from unlocking several outfits), but when I reach 50 later today, I’m going to buy Jake & the church.
So I assume that all the bags of cash & kryptonite will be null & void as of 6pm today? (In Atlantic Canada so it will be an earlier time for most) I have tons of that stuff, it sucks that I bet all those clowns (etc) for nothing…I could have been getting stuff to unlock Connie or Amine Peter instead…

    • I think you played it right. The events have time limits and constraints where the district quests don’t go away. I wouldn’t waste your clams on Jake. I’ve been playing for a few years, and I don’t think I’ve seen him used for anything. I could be wrong though. Good luck! Happy clamming. 🙂

    Like

    • Seeing a few reports of this, feel for you it’s happened at end of the events as leaves you no wiggle room to catch up. In the contact you send TinyCo tell them what you missed out on, maybe they can do something.

  27. Tinyco has finally acknowledged what we already knew. They changed the intro back to the regular Family Guy scene before the event was even over, because they knew that anyone that didn’t have loads of cash to spend had no chance of coming close to finishing. Freemium to the end!

  28. The results are somewhat misleading. As I type is shows Catwoman Lois only got 9.5% of the votes, and yet in reality she got 35 votes out of the total votes (which I suspect is around 35). So rather than 9.5% of the people unlocked her, it should be 95%+ (or whatever).

Instead, the poll is assuming the options were exclusive, not inclusive…

    • PollDaddy isn’t the best but unfortunately it is the only one available to me as I’m just babysitting the site just now. Don’t worry once poll ends I will grab the stats and post proper results. Just ignore the percentages for now.

  29. This has been a great event. I have enjoyed playing this one! I got everything except Robin Stewie, Cyborg, and Killer Croc. Like all events, my problem has to do with “event currency”. I currently have 1925 sacks of cash that haven’t been able to be used to purchase anything in weeks. I get TinyCo wants to build upon things and change it up a bit during the event, it would just be nice being able to use all “event currency” throughout the entire event.

    Like

    • I sincerely believe they only test their events minimally. What were the rings for again? Maybe to buy some of the original buildings, but then they switched to the gathered loot bags, which required pills to attack villains. I think just sending superfluous characters on ring gather tasks (and then only collecting on a 4 hour schedule as some were 1 and 2 hour tasks), I ended up with about 7500+ rings after I drop some on buying the event area buildings, statues and animated villian decos.

I also hate that they give you the Solomon’s choice during the events. To advance the event you need to complete the main quest tasks with the exact same characters that you need to do the gathering for items to unlock other chracters. So I can gimp myself on collecting to keep on time with the event, or I can gimp myself on the event timing (which pushes the next phase’s start off) but get the characters I need/want. However, ultimately I get screwed because like this last final phase, I have had 2.5 days to try to get anywhere with unlocking Poison Ivy (not going to happen).

      Like

      • I think having quests require the same characters as tasks is the game throwing curve balls to players, it becomes part of the timing strategy, keeps us on our toes! When the characters are also needed for Tan lines daily quests then we have to make difficult choices. I agree, it can be challenging, but maybe in a fun way?
