Okay, Okay, it’s not really Stewie, it’s me, Russian Tigger, sorry to disappoint you all again, maybe Stewie will join us once he’s a little bit older. But until then you get to read my rambling thoughts once more, aren’t you the lucky ones?
So another mini event is well under way and will soon come to an end, yes, the clock is ticking down on Undercover Gigg-Olo. And as we move into those last few days I find my mind in Stewie mode as I wonder what will be coming next?
And what did I come up with, well a lot of things I can’t admit in public, and a few thoughts on what’s I’d like to see next I can share, so let’s go.
Well with regards to what’s coming next, my mind couldn’t wander far as TinyCo have given us some details in the latest App information.
So we all know the basics premise, 80’s Detectuve TV shows, but what new characters and costumes will we see?
Will there be a link to the TV show, as we did see Peter and the guys set up a Detective Agency in the episode Encyclopedia Griffin.
Will we see any content from that episode such as Chris’ girlfriend as a full playable character? *Shudder* I kind of hope not with regards the girlfriend, lol.
Will it be a mini event, or a major event where we might see a return of the timed cases of The Hauntening? If so I hope they are tweaked to allow players the option to continue in a case rather than it disappearing completely on a set date.
Will we see new characters rather than costumes? I must admit like many long-term players my box of costumes for some characters is overflowing. Maybe time give some different characters a costume rather than the same old characters. And if we do see new characters, cpuld they include Magnum or Higgins?
Or Jake and the Fatman?
Or will the guys be the the A-Team of Investigators.
And will the heat be on us or TinyCo as the event progresses? The last 2 events, Kung Pow Quahog & Undercover Gigg-Olo give me hope TinyCo have heard our pleas for change over the last month or so.
And I’ve also been pondering on something else. You sure you want to know? Ok, ok, I’ll share. So last week I was forced to make a visit into the big city and I’ll be darned if I didn’t see something that had my Family Guy radar on alert. Look at the photo below.
I couldn’t believe my eyes, a Foreign Exchange Bank, with a tattoo parlour out back. I half expected to see Jim Kaplan pop out and try to get me to sign over my soul in return for a kenmity tattoo as I sauntered past. So keep your eyes out as you’re wandering addicts, as you spot a little real life Family Guy on your travels.
But what do my fellow addicts think? What will we see in Quahog Heat? But please remember this is for speculation and not spoilers guys. And have you ever spotted a real life Family Guy thingy or two. Let’s discuss it further in the comments.

1). TINY TOM CRUISE !!!
2) A WAY TO SHARE ALL THE EXTRA ITEMS SO ITS WORTH PLAYING EVEN AFTER YOU HAVE ALL THE ITEMS FOR THE EVENT. EITHER I NEED JUST A COUPLE MORE OF SOMETHING OR HAVE A BUNCH LEFT OVER WITH NOTHING ELSE TO USE THEM FOR. NO ONE WANTS A BUNCH OF DECOS BUT SOMEONE ELSE COULD OF USED STUFF TO GET ONE INSTEAD OF NONE.

I would like to see where the Griffins went into the witness protection program and they lived down south where Peter and Brian became the town sheriffs. That was a classic episode. Doing another detective event after the haunting not that long ago is kind of a let down, would like some fresh material.

I would like to see land expansions. I have so much in my inventory I would love to see in my town. Not to mention a lot of it I bought with clams.

It’s been good see old characters brought back as little extras in this event, more of that going forward would be good for newer players.

The event is called, “Quahog Heat” and is based on ’80’s detective shows,,,in one episode, Peter goes back to the ’80’s and dances with Cleveland dressed in a Michael Jackson “Thriller” costume to the theme of “Beverly Hills Cop”…lotsa character/costume implications there, for the right licensing fees…just a thought…

Maybe you have to solve the mystery of what having 10 million coins, or having x amount of gold stewie bucks is worth, once you’ve already got the monkey and the fire monster? Maybe a new currency, like Scoobie Snacks, which will also be disregarded as it’s just not clams? Who knows!

In the show there are a lot of jokes or sketches about 80s tv shows, so I guess it’ll be a long event.
I was thinking about those characters that often appeared in sketches, Higgins and the one who hit him and called him Tattoo. There were a couple of parodies of that detective show – or at least I think it was a detective show. I don’t remember the names well now and I have no idea what the show is (Sorry, I was born in 1988; many 80s-related jokes are so lost to me 😛 ), but they used to be recurrent. And TV/movies characters are often included in events, so why not? Or the one that is used as filler in the comedy show in the episode that Brian dates an actress. I have no idea what any of those shows are.
And all this talk reminded me I used to watch Hammer. My dad liked it. I still often use his Trust me catchphrase. He didn’t appear in FG, but I wouldn’t mind having him in my game.

Just been updating the post with a few thoughts, such as Magnum & Jake and the Fatman, the character you’re thinking of Highins is from Magnum. They’ve got a lot to play with, and as you say sometimes they throw in characters with no link to the show, so really we could see a surprise or two. Or maybe an unexpected villain?

I’m thinking Magnum and Higgins are very likely (licensing issues aside) as Magnum and Higgins appeared or were referred to in multiple episodes…in one episode, Magnum referred to Higgins as, “Tattoo” from Fantasy Island, so there’s another possibility…
I was born in 1962 (OK, so, I’m old!), so I remember all of those show well, LOL!
