Hey there Cops & Robbers!!
Figured with all the comments flying around about how tough this new Quahog Heat event is I would bounce on by to see just where you all are as of now in the Event.
This information is very useful not only to Bunny to see if there is anything else we need to focus on, but it also is information Bunny shares with TinyCo so they can visually see as well just how the Players are getting along in the Event so far. If there are areas of improvement needed, areas working well, etc.

I’m with Palmer. Longtime player, spend way more than this game is worth, and am done. This is the worst combo of boring & frustrating that I have seen yet. This will be the first time that I couldn’t even begin Phase 2 in a reasonable amount of time – especially when buying clams!! Sadly, I can’t see any incentive to waste time & $$$ on TC any more.

My opinion is this is the worse event ever. The new way they have changed the battles, is just horrible. I casually played the last event, but this one, is probably going to be the one I don’t finish because I give up the game all together. Sending Lois every chance I can to the first room to get items needed to get Erik, nothing, police tape is few and far between, maybe send Lois a couple times a day. Just pathetic.
I haven’t figured out why TC is so insistent on making drops that are necessary to progress RARE! Make them easier to get and increase the number needed, that is a fair trade off. That way, won’t get aggravated and feel like several hours wasted getting nothing.
If they want to have rare and epic drops, bring back Districts, or a part of the game that isn’t meant to be played against a timer.
I have to actually force myself to play this game now, and with still trying to get through the questline for week one, needing to get Bertram to show up, I think maybe sooner rather than later I will just say meh and free up some space on my phone.
How much money did TC have to pay for Erik Estrada? Waste of money considering that he will probably never really be used again. I have bought my share of premium characters in the past, but after seeing how they constantly were “left out” event after event, year after year, I stopped buying them, Maybe TC tracks those that do this and why my luck seems to be not so great?

Interesting concept and one I have wondered myself…it’s all about the algorithms, so it certainly would be difficult to program based on spending…but I don’t think that’s the case – I spend clams, sometime more than others, but haven’t seen a correlation with spending and success beyond the odds of just having more ‘stuff’…
But, certainly an interesting thought and one I wouldn’t put past TinyCo to implement one day…

I know I used to be premium and when I stopped my drops got way worse. Then I got to a district I didn’t want in my game and restarted my game. Since then my drops are way better and more on part with other 2 family games that have always been free I’m. Of course none of this is based on this event.

I’ll be missing out on Eric in about 18 hrs, Bertram just hasn’t shown up enough. Frustrating event, first time I’ve missed both the weekly special and the character. Not sure i’ll even continue playing the event – usually if you miss the first character, it continues into the weeks and makes the event just unplayable.
Rare drops for the item, then chance for not getting what you need when you use that item i.e. Bertram is a TERRBILE design.

I agree with everyone here. It’s been roughly a week and not seen Bertram once. It’s frustrating as I play at least once a day. Think it might be one event since the start that I’ll give a miss unless anyone has tips on getting Bertram to appear?!

Tape isn’t an issue for me I just can’t get hardly any crooks hence no med samples therefore no progress. Bertram only drops 8 when he does show up. Need med samples for that $10 clam special not tape. Haven’t even tried to start the Erick Estrada part yet.

During the weekly challenge I only got 16 of 33 robbers due to horrific drop rates of both police tape and robbers. My time ran out yesterday afternoon. Since it ended I’m getting near 100% on both. Ugggh. Still have 3 days for Erik Estrada but I’m not hopeful since I have a lot of ground to makeup and still haven’t gotten a handcuff in over 2 days – I currently have 3.

Decided to give up on this event as of today. Rubbish drop rates with rare chance and almost no robbers spawn for timed event is the last straw. Good luck the rest of you still hanging on.

I’m stuck on part 7. Zero handcuff drops 6 days 16 tries…so no Estrada for me with one day lef. Only got 14 robbers in two days…so no B-Team truck for me. This has been one of the worst events in recent memory.

I want to get Estrada but am not holding my breath. Am still in phase 1. Decided to unlock him so the rare Bertram fights might at least produce something useful, although don’t know if I’ll be able to buy the fan mail dropping building in time. Have only placed the copter.
Usually they make phase 1 easy enough so people don’t get discouraged right away and then zap us in phase 2, but the tape drops in phase 1 are ridiculous and that slows down the investigations and Bertram fights. I have three characters working on tapes and often zero drops or at best 1 drop from Chris. Mort and Jerome must be eating or reselling their tapes. So getting three tapes to look for Bertram with Lois and Peter can take a day. But the only way to get enough supplies to buy the overpriced badges to buy the remaining overpriced buildings needed for Estrada is to fight Bertram. Sigh. It all smells of corruption in high places to me….

I’ve had the Po-Po for a couple days and I have yet to get even one fan mail! I waited to start the timer until I felt confident but now it’s down to 4 days and I’ve barely made a dent. It was a toss up in the poll for what’s holding me back.

Handcuffs aren’t dropping still and I have 2.5 days to go. I have 2/8 handcuffs. I’ve been sending Lois constantly since the weekly challenge dropped and all I’m getting is Robbers and useless doughnuts. I realise some people aren’t getting Robbers, but I have unlocked all the buildings (except the boat, which I don’t want) and don’t need any more

I’m now up to 6/8 handcuffs. It’s just annoying that I can’t move onto Week 2, as I can’t spare the Tape to unlock Bertram (still need to defeat him twice). I’m sending Lois around the clock and have 1 day and 6 hours left to unlock Eric. It’s down to the last 2 handcuffs, so I at least have the option of wasting 100 clams to get him at the moment

There’s no timed character in Phase 2, so that’s something but hopefully you join us soon.

I managed to unlock Eric, but now my tape drops have tanked completely. I was getting at least 2 every 4 hours, but now I’m lucky to get 1 every 8 hours. I’ve searched for Bertram twice and failed twice. Phase 2 is still a looooooooong way away (have to defeat Betram twice)

Others had this issue with Bertram, message TinyCo, maybe they can find him for you, and I thought my tape drops were bad before but they’ve got worse also, just got a meagre 2 out of a possible 18 from my 3 collections from the building and 4 characters today. Erik hasn’t dropped one since I unlocked him to be honest. It’s a shame as once again one problem drop feeds into every other element of an event.

It’s okay, I managed to find and defeat Betram twice today so I’ve moved onto Phase 2 as of an hour ago. Tape drops are weird – I go through periods of getting nothing to being flooded with them. I really wish TinyCo would just get rid of this whole “chance” element of the game. Thanks for your help/advice 🙂

That’s what I’ve seen although it seemed they got better after the first four days…now that I’m in Phase 2, it seems they’ve gotten worse…ugh…

I learned a long time ago to hold out as long as possible to start that timer and I usually wait until I get all the buildings needed for a character. Well, a week into the event and I am six badges from getting the first building that has a drop and then I have to get the second. I can’t count how many times Lois has failed to drop robbers in the last week. Even getting the tape-dropping building has only meant that I get one more empty turn with Lois despite collecting five times a day. I hope there is some time to catch up during the event but even if it continues at this glacial pace I long ago stopped worrying about it. It is frustrating that my zeal for the game keeps eroding. I would love to know if this game structure is raising TinyCo’s bottom line. It seems to have the opposite effect as I read about more and more long-time players stopping playing.

I usually spend no more than 20 dolars for a month long event, but with this one, have already spent it… I feel bad for freemium players, because it is difficult even with the extra help…

For me it seems like tinyco is doing their famous end of phase adjust at the right time. I came within one crook of getting the weekly. am one glove and 3 handcuffs away from erik. have 4 days to go on him. I’m on part 8 and only need to defeat 2 Bertram. of course I could be speaking too soon! I quit the Simpsons game because it was so boring. granted it had a lot to do, but hated the krusty park and moving between both.

Chuck, Me too. 1 robber away. Total BS. Glad I don’t care about this event as it is nearly impossible without major $$ spent. Tinyco is losing $$ because the events are so damned dull and repetitive so they are gouging out every last clam. Too bad.

Ending the weekly quest tonight having gotten only 22 robbers out of the 33 required.
Mort and Jerome are pretty useless at giving police tape.

33 Robbers in 2 days? Yeah, I managed to get 8 playing Freemium. I’ve seen Bertram exactly once in the last week, but it didn’t matter, as I had no characters unlocked to attack him with at the time.
It honestly feels like TinyCo is just trolling us all with these impossible-to-complete quests.

I agree with Palmer and Marianna. I am fast losing interest and would rather play TSTO. It’s a shame because I have been playing for a long time and used to really enjoy the game but ridiculous drop rates mean that I get stuck and stop bothering with the events. There doesn’t seem to be much point in trying to get buildings or decorations as the lack of land means that most of them end up being stored anyway.

I splurged and bought the event generating buildings that drop items and such and Quagmire costume and unlocked everything else without spending too much. Thanks to this site for warning about the Erik Estrada timed unlock. But if going forward it does end up getting harder I will stop. I don’t need to get everything but will pay as long as it’s in moderation.

I entered on the poll that I had completed the first week challenge which was in incorrect as I was still working on it. Sadly I do not have enough police tape {1 out of possible 5 last drop) to finish it before the timer expires.
Won my fight against Bertram only to find out he goes back into the rooms to find again. Took so long the first time, don’t relish searching again

I don’t think this event is that hard…yet. Maybe I’m getting lucky, I don’t know. Granted I’m able to play every 4hrs around the clock so that helps.
I’ve got all buildings sans yacht which I’m not trying for. I completed the weekly challenge. I’m fighting Bertram for the last time before week 2 starts and I have 6 badges saved.
With Erik Estrada I pretty much just need two gloves and 5 cuffs with just over 4 days left. Not stressing it.

Bertram hasn’t been in my game for FOUR days. I agree with many others. Poor drop rates, unacceptable progress rate, plus I’ve lost all interest in this game. Will probably delete and claim 7 frigging GB of data on my phone back.

Terrible event! Drop rate of Police Tape is so poor that there is frequently nothing to do. For the weekly challenge I have got only 4 robbers. No sign of Bertram at all. No chance of getting Eric Estrada without buying clams. Instead of being a fun event for me, this is proving to be the worst ever.

I got plenty of police tapes, but I have NEVER yet gotten a handcuffs from Lois searching the Teller Booths. I’ve tried in the teens and never gotten 1 and only 4 days left to get Ponch!

This is the first event which I’m going freemium on, so far I’ve unlocked Miami Peter, have all the prizes bar the party yacht, finished the first challenge (which I wasn’t even trying for), and I’m on the last part of the main questline where I need to beat Bertram twice, I’ll beat him once by 11pm and will then need to find and beat him once more meaning I’ll be late starting Phase 2. With Erik Estrada I need 1 Motorcycle Boots, 2 Bike Gloves, 4 Handcuffs, and 2 Fan Mail, with 4 days 13hrs left on his timer. So all in all I’m not doing too bad, it’s just finding Bertram that’s held me back, the first two times I tried for him I found him both times, I then had 5 times in a row where I kept getting 6 Prisoners, which did help me in getting Police Badges for the prizes, but it means I’m not going to be ready for Phase 2, it also didn’t help that the last time I found Bertram he had 3HP, which came as a surprise as the first two times he only had 1HP.

You may want to take your time on Bertram. Moving to act 2 changes the investigations and pretty much kills any chance of getting Erik Estrada if you still handcuffs for him.

I’m going to have to agree with Marianna. This should probably be saved for WTD but I think it belongs under the poll.
This may be the final time I play this game having played from the beginning. I understand you say its ment to be a challenge but there is a fine line between that and keeping it fun to actually play. Recently I’ve struggled to get through to the final week of the main quest in multiple events, let alone a third of the challenges! Timed characters that claim not to be but are essential to progress regardless of when you start the timer is the worst of all.
Not adjusting their prices on characters and buildings hasn’t helped, no character is worth what they charge as it becomes useless after one event, and the buildings are even worse and don’t even get me started on the mystery boxes.
Your level means nothing, your coins are borderline worthless so there is no reward for loyalty.
It seems the only way to get anywhere is to be on the game constantly and that which is impossible if you have a job or spend tonnes of money which you need to have a job to do so. I get they aren’t doing it for free but they won’t be making any money if 90% of their players quit.
The runners of this site on the other hand have always been the most helpful and I want to say thanks for all you have done and will most likely continue to do. Its a shame Tinyco are doing you a disservice……..

This game has reached a new level of tedium. With a reliance on getting tape – at an average of 1-3 rolls a day, I am grateful for SimCity. Even Simpsons Tapped Out is more satisfying than this.

This is their worst event ever. Its like they go out of their way to deliberately learn nothing. Police tape, which is absolutely essential, has a terrible drop rate. Ive cleared only 17 robbers in a week now, with 12 towards the special prize. Can’t get motorcycle boots because Bertam has only dropped 2x for me since event started.

I’m seriously so close to just giving up on this game completely. Every event gets more and more impossible, with this one I’ve been stuck on part 5 for days. I only get 1-2 police tapes a day, which means I investigate the room with Bertram less than once every 24 hours. And not only have I not found Bertram, I don’t get robbers either. So I have only been able to get 3 police badges for the entire event. I much prefer TSTO.

My sentiments EXACTLY! The game is becoming boring, knowing that I will not even get close to completing even 1/3 of an event by the time it is over.
