With this new Mighty Morphin’ Griffin Rangers, we also get some New Premium Characters for you to decide to add to your Quahogs. Like Alpha 5!
Let’s take a look at what Alpha 5 can do in our silly lil games.
Alpha 5 is a New Premium Character added during Week 2 of the Mighty Morphin’ Griffin Rangers 2017. As with all Premiums, it is your choice to determine whether or not he is someone you want to add to your game.
Alpha 5’s cost is 270 
clams. You could find him in your event menu for purchase.
If you chose to spend the Clams to pull him into your game, he first appeared on your Quahog streets with the Unlock Icon over his head. If you tapped on the icon, he then was brought fully into your game.
He does come with a questline, Alpha 5 At Your Service, more on it in a later post.
Alpha 5 does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ & XP. He can also combine with the P. Zord to give it more energy.
Let’s take a look at some of Alpha 5’s Tasks:

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event Ends.
IS HE VOICED?
Yes, he is!

“Initiating…Killer High Five”
“I’d make a great Fraternity Mascot”

“The Rangers use me as a CD Player”
“Saving the world really drains your battery”
And there you have it, the complete breakdown for the robotic assistant Alpha 5!

I think it’s worth noting for those unsure or a collectionist (like me), this is the original 90’s Alpha 5, not the new redesigned one from the movie. 😉
I mention this because I didn’t know they changed him too! … I personally could care less about the new version and collecting those characters which is why I opted out of Rita. Good thing too because it doen’t look like there’s going to be a new yellow, pink or black only red and blue.
Now if only Rita Stewie wasn’t in that box I would be complete 🙁

Yeah I got the free one. I hope that doesn’t affect getting Goldar at the end of the weekly challenges. It does not have a check mark over the caged Baboo in the weekly challenges although it does say caged Baboo for the second challenge.

No, the weekly challenge hasn’t dropped in our games, but Lotty got a pop up saying there wouldn’t be a challenge this week, and the challenges would return next week. I’ve not seen this pop up as yet. But check your store for the Caged Baboo prize.

Did you “buy” the free one released at start of Phase 2? Might be why he’s in there instead of the store.

Is he voiced by Richard Horvitz, like in the original TV show? I currently don’t have him in my game.

Unfortunately I can’t hear his vocal on IOS yet. Bunny said it’s a good quality vocal which sounds like it’s pulled from the show, but obviously we can’t say 100% if it’s Richard Horvitz and I’d advise if your purchase decision is based on this info, just drop TinyCo a message asking them to confirm if it’s him or not, that way you will know for sure.
