Now hold on there a minute. Are you SURE you want that? With all these cool Premium Items in the game, it is very easy to get carried away. Before you know it, Clamshell Shock! All gone!
So before you go ahead and buy the Estate Fountain with your hard-earned Clams, here are a few things you might want to know about it.
Recently in events TinyCo have been putting in what I call a speculate to accumulate building or a clam generator, and tonight they dropped another into our games to buy. Please note at this time we don’t know if it’s a standalone item or linked to an upcoming event. What we do know is this offer basically consists of you purchasing this premium building/decoration for clams, it will then drop 14 clams daily until 15th June. If you have the clams to purchase items like this I will ALWAYS recommend you do, as you will always end up better off as long as you time your purchase, and daily collections, right.
The new clam generator we are talking about here is the Estate Fountain, and if you have 250 spare clams burning a hole in your pocket, I recommend you BUY, BUY, BUY. And as soon as possible as the Estate Fountain is set to drop 14 clams a day until 6/15, so if you purchased it today, Monday 5/15,myou would have at least 31 full clam drops of 14 clams each day, that’s a total of 434 clams over that period, and a return of 184 clams on your original investment. You’ll also have a chance of possible drop on the final day deepening on the time the clam drop ends, but I’ve not included that in the math above.So BUY, BUY, BUY.
The calendar below shows the days clams will drop from 5/15, I include the first day as the building drops 14 clams immediately on placement in your Quahog, from there on all you need to do is collect every 24 hours, either manually by tapping the building or with Consuela’s vacuum. I am also including the final day as if you purchased it immediately you will get be able get a drop on the final day, but be aware you may need spend a clam or two speeding the task to get the drop before the Bar stops dropping. We will confirm this time as soon as we get it from TinyCo.
So that’s an easy way to pick up some free clams eh, however remember the faster you BUY, BUY, BUY this building the more profit you make. The table below shows the minimum clam profit you can make going by the date you purchase the Estate Fountain. You can only purchase it until the 24th May according to TinyCo. Below I should the minimum potential clams it will drop depending on the day you purchase it, I say minimum as the info below is based on 31 drops, however a 32nd drop is possible on the final day 06/15 but how many clams you will get will depend on whether you need to speed up the task to collect before the Clam drops end. So you can potentially get a further 14 clams to add to the numbers below if you’ve timed things right.

Final Thought:
Personally, my opinion is BUY, BUY, BUY if you have 250 clams sitting that you won’t need during the event.
But in the end it’s your call. What you buy and what you don’t buy is your own personal choice we can only guide you on the facts and let you know what we did and what we think. But don’t purchase it until YOU are sure. ALL SALES ARE FINAL!

If I am calculating correctly, there are 32 days to collect clams if you purchased the fountain on the 15th, would that then give you 14×32 equaling 448 with a profit of 198?!

I put in the post 31 is the minimum but depending on when you buy the building on 15th you will have a chance of a collection on Day 32, however if you purchased it later in the day on 15th May the end time for clam drops on 15th June may come before your collection time and you may need speed up the task using clams. So you’re not guaranteed 14 clams like every other day, it depends on time you buy and time TinyCo kill the clam drops

I always like seeing these type of buildings appear but this one just like the last one they did come at a time when I don’t have anywhere near sufficient clams to buy it.
I earn my clams freemium and used what I had during the Rocky event so slowly accruing them again.

As usual, I have taken your good advice. Bought it today, with 100 clams remaining in case I need it to get more vodkas to unlock Ivan Drago (689 vitamins out of 800 – 1 more full cycle run today and tomorrow should do it!).
The crazy (or clever) part of Tinyco is, somehow, they could work out the Maths and ensure that if I hit Ivan for one more cycle up to 4x, I would get 796 vitamins, and to obtain the last 4 vitamins, I need to either hit Ivan for the last 5x hit (probably accelerate with clams to get 16 vodkas), or wait another day for a new round to get 5 vitamins for 1x hit (but not possible given that event ends tomorrow, and have to consider Ivan’s hibernation of 9 hours). Credits to Tinyco though for this event, by giving us more chances to get vodkas through Boxer Lois.

I might get this as I actually have more than 250 clams for the first time since I’ve been playing (almost exactly 1 year). With the daily TV clam drops this’ll push me up to 20+ clams per day

We have so many debates about purchasing premium content, certain characters, costumes, etc…but, IMHO, and as RT points out quite clearly, the clam-generating properties are pure, sure-fire investments that payoff the sooner you buy…I’m thinking about playing the next one freemium depending upon the theme, but the clam-dropping buildings a must-buy for me…
