With chainsaw massacres and cannibalistic tendencies running amok in Quahog, and Phase 2 lurking around the corner, I thought it was time we took a break and shared our survival stories about Phase 1.Yes it’s Poll time, so best get busy Addicts. And remember the results will show and update as players answer, so it will also let you gauge where you are compared to others.

I thought I was going to get Buffalo Bill in time – just under the wire – to get the 40 Clams, but my last 2 Monkeys didn’t pay out Rolls of Tape.

I didn’t think it was possible to unlock Buffalo Bill in 7 days because I was not able to cross anything off in the first 5 days. But all of a sudden within the last 24 hours I have completed everything except 5 duct tape – I have 6 chainsaws in the queue with 7 gas tanks on deck and 32 hours with which to collect to get the 40 clam bonus. Plus I will be able to stockpile liver and brains for the next wave. Just keep plugging at it and it will fall into place.

I had the same experience – I always ‘keep score’ by checking every now and then the clam buy cost for the character…after 3 days, Bill’s cost was over 1800 clams and I thought, “Yeah, no way”…after 5 days, it was down to ~380 clams…I ended up unlocking him freemium with 10 hours to go…

Should finish the tape for Bill tomorrow within the time and be only a day behind everyone for week two. Who knew waking up at 4 am often (not by design) could be a good thing.

Still need several tapes. Focused on boars for a while to get achievements that dropped other items for Bill, which has left me behind. Hoping to get a few in the morning after earning chainsaws over night and then maybe buying the lasr 3 or 4 with the 40 clams bonus making up some of that.

I call ** on getting Buffalo Bill. I have been stuck on 18/29 duct tape rolls forever and keep killing the monkeys and get no duct tape rolls. i’ve had atleast 10 in a row with no duct tape. just a money grab

Averaging 1 drop out of 4 for the tape rolls so his bonus is not doable.

Finished up quest for first wave and earned Skin. (I did buy Hannibal Lector, so sure that helped). “Waiting Until Next Week” step of the Beginning of the End Pt 7 quest. And workin gon “Off the Chainsaw pt 8” achievement.

Just waiting on the chainsaws to clear 2 more boars for kimonos. Then I’ll have Bill and the questline done in time for week 2 🙂
I had to spend some clams to finish duct tape, but the 40 clams bonus and the extra clams I got from the 2x offer will make up for it.

I think it may be only for mobile (I have Android, so I’m not sure if iOS has it but I’d assume they do).
It’s for a thing where you can complete tasks like downloading and/or trying other apps for free clams. Once in a while they double the amount of clams you get for those offers, so I like to stock up when that happens

Do the offers work? I read early on that players were not getting the clams they earned, so has that improved? I always do the daily videos, but have shied away from the offers…

They’ve always worked for me even as far back as 2 years ago. Occasionally it will take a few hours for the clams to pay out, so maybe that’s why people have said it didn’t work? But for me it almost always pays within the hour. It’s definitely worth trying at least once to see what your experience is.
I like to do a little bit more than it asks. So if it says “install and run” I’ll click on a couple things inside the app instead of just opening it. Or if it says to complete a certain level, I’ll do another quest or two after reaching that level. I have NO idea if that helps or not, but it makes me feel like I’m helping lol.

Game has become too much of a grind to get characters that ultimately do nothing (see Cameron Fry, Fogell McLovin)…

Thanks for the poll, I love these! And I am pretty excited to have unlocked BB in time to win the clams. Just stockpiling brains for part 2, can’t wait to see what it is!

For some reason I’m not getting drops for kimonos from his basement for Buffalo Bill. Anyone else having this issue? I still need 10 but I still have 1 day to get him & earn 40 clams. Everything else has been completed 2 days ago. Just waiting for kimonos to drop. I
also did the boar things with Chris. I don’t get it.
