  1. I can’t remember how long it’s been since the ‘Spin’N Win’ was added to my games, but it’s at least 3 months by my reckoning. In that time I’ve spun it every day, plus a few extra with clams I’ve spent, trying to get a couple of the more desirable jackpot prizes. As of right now, I have NEVER hit a jackpot. As there are 8 equal segments to the wheel, a fair (not rigged) wheel has a probability of NOT landing on the Jackpot of 7 in 8 (or 0.875 where 1.0 is guaranteed and 0 is never), so it’s not likely you’ll hit a jackpot on one spin. On two spins, the probability of still not hitting a jackpot is 7/8*7/8 (or 0.875*0.875) which works out to around 0.766, or roughly 3 in 4. Still reasonable according to the laws of probability. Now from this, we can see the odds of NOT hitting a jackpot for a given number of consecutive spins (n spins) is given by the formula 0.875^n (0.875 to the power n, where n is the number of spins). The odds of me NOT hitting a jackpot in 30 days is roughly 0.018 or about 1 in 55. NOT hitting in 60 days is around 0.00033 or about 1 in 3000 and finally, NOT hitting a jackpot in 90 days is an astronomical 0.000006 or about 1 in 166,000. If it’s actually been 4 months, the odds blow out to about 1 in 9.1 million (worse odds than winning first prize in most lotteries).
Sorry about the extended math but it seems evident that TinyCo has rigged my wheel and is trying to extract clams from me (or I’m the unluckiest person on the planet essentially). Has anyone else experienced the same issue?

    • Players have discussed this before, but on various posts all over the place, so I might put a Spin N Win discussion post up. It’s been in my game over a year now.

  2. I just realized that all the characters don’t have a FaceSpace. I have around 180+ characters but in FaceSpace it shows only 39 main characters and only 59 guest characters.

  3. I just got to the 80s, and I REALLY want that 80s McBurgertown with the Play Place, but it’s never gonna happen by today. I wish they’d allow us to buy what we didn’t get with clams or remaining currency. Why aren’t they letting us keep/convert it?? Not fair, TinyCo!!

  4. I am a little disappointed with the decision making on the TV Guide “Weekly” Challenges. I was not able to complete any of the first three weeks in one week’s time, always needing to dip into a second week. That’s fine. I figured that was the way they were set up so you would keep visiting those worlds. For Week Four, I played the mystery box as soon as it became available and got the 45 switchblades and was able to get started right away on crafting banana peels. Save for the time I needed to craft the unicycles required for Quagmire within his timer, I have had the crafting going non-stop continuously since the phase dropped because I always had a surplus of switchblades. I will complete all of the tasks through Head Spinners Pt. 7 and Don’t Get Caught Slippin’ Pt. 9 and be four tasks shy of the grand prize. Don’t Get Caught Pt 10 is crafting 20 banana peels which I will not finish and I assume Head Spinners is increasing number of slip ups of the break dancer which will require more banana peels. So besides not finishing all of the banana peels requested, I will not slip up the break dancer enough times. This is not for my lack of doing what is capable of being done. With three-hour crafting times, there was never a time when a banana peel was not being crafted right from the start of the phase two weeks ago (even with not checking my game for eight hours nightly to sleep). Similarly, I am crafting glitter and da funk non-stop except when I needed aprons for Horace and will be six tasks short of that prize. Hey, I get it, these would be just two more buildings that would sit in storage, but why present these tasks when they are mathematically impossible based on the time remaining in the event? Instead of just using the same tired formula of picking the weekly tasks and having it rise in numbers required, how about use tasks that can be completed in the time allotted. I want to be excited about these events and be challenged by them and use strategy, but when they are presented without thought or planning, it makes it seem like they are just being mailed in.

  5. I used a little bit of clams to get 80s quagmire and now he’s nowhere to be found? This happen to anyone else?

    • Is he showing in Facespace?

    • 80s Quagmire vanished for me, too, just as I placed the Goldman Pharmacy last night. That was the final thing I needed to unlock him, but as I placed it, he vanished. He is not in inventory or Facespace (grayed out.) I contacted support but no response yet. Also my Android device won’t even update the game now so I’m locked out.

  6. Still trying to finish week 4. I’ve worked out that I still won’t get Goldman’s Pharmacy before the end, so I’m giving up.

  7. Was really hoping to get Horice, but the challenges needed to earn Benjamins is just too onerous…233 for the last building?? WTD, TC/JC?? And their response to people complaining that it’s taking too long to craft items? Why, they’ll graciously allow us to simply buy them…for cash and clams…GRRR…WTD, TC/JC???

  8. I’m giving up on this one as still only half way through week four. Just no chance to get through it without spending a load of clams. Timed character also lost. Never mind hopefully the next one will be more fun!

  9. This is likely my last event. I had to use clams to keep up but I’m already behind in Week 5. Glad to know I’m not alone.
I can’t seem to figure out how to use Da Funk to clear Back Up Dancers. I have quite a number of Da Funks but whenever I try to clear a BUD with it, nothing happens. WTD?

  10. Is TinyCo ever going to make it where one can at least almost make it to the end again? I havent completed a single event in a long time. Not even close to making it to the 90s Station nad really wanted to see what it held. Im going to see how Halloween and Christmas goes, if not better I may stop playing :(.

  11. Just how realistic is it to complete all the challenges in the Week 4/1980’s task list?
I’m currently at 57/64 but the tasks are so time consuming I don’t see how it’s possible to complete them all before the event ends?
Right now I have 2 items to do; craft 15 bananas & trip the break dancer 8 times. At 3 hours per banana thats just short of 48 hours to craft all the bananas, and there’s no way I can achieve more that a 3 streak on the break dancer so allowing for regeneration and cool down times, that’s a good 3 days to complete! Then I will still have 5 more tasks to finish!!

    • I think it’s looking impossible if the tasks after those we are both currently on aren’t a lot easier, if they just increase the quantities as other weeks have, this is NOT possible.

    • I don’t think that completing all the challenges for week 4 is realistic or even possible (at least not without spending a truckload of clams).
After finally completing the task of crafting 15 bananas, the next part is to create 18 of them.. all at 3 hours each..
No, it seems that to complete the challenges for week 4, it is not possible.

          • Even their “offer” does not cut it. You can get 4 banana peels for 200 clams. However, the next part (part 10) is to craft 20 banana peels = 60 hours altogether (or 48 hours with those 4 banana peels).. All this with less than a day left to spare.. When even actually spending clams would not cut it, you can see how “reasonable” this game has become. 🙄

  12. I didn’t realized how difficult this event was going to be. Just finished week 3 while week 5 started. Very annoyed that I would not be able to get Horace. This really may be it for me, sorry not sorry. Not asking to let me complete the event but give us a chance to compete..

  13. i was a day behind after week 1 but was getting caught up until week 4. With only Mort to get the knives to get banana skins and them taking so long to produce and then the increasing number needed for each level of the boss I fell behind again. Had to spend clams to get the last building as I couldn’t create enough charge cards. Also had to rush my last unicycle. 80s Quagmire shouldn’t have been timed as none of the others had been.

    Grrr, week 4.

  14. How did I get so far behind after Week 4? I didn’t unlock 80’s Quagmire in time so now it’s terribly slow to earn credit cards to unlock 80’s Goldman’s Pharmacy. At the rate it’s going, I’ll unlock week 5 about 12 hours before the event ends. Really grinds my gears.

I don’t like the abundance of Mystery Boxes for full characters. I’m fine with using clams to buy characters, but I refuse to play those games of chance anymore after the Alf incident…

I’ve been playing this so long that my Tan Lines Resort is full. Is there any rumors of them adding additional floors?
