Curious question, do we know how the speed up timers watching ads works? Because I was able to speed Cleveland Jr. up just now for the chocolate bar drops to take a total of 36 hours off the timer for drops, but the building that drops the apples (which I did before Jr.) only let me do 12 hours worth of speedups. Confused as to why you can do it less on a building.

Yeah, it’s not in all ou games, hopefully others who have it can give you information.

I hit the limit one time, but I wasn’t counting. It definitely interacts with the free clam drops — e.g. speeding up twice drops your daily maximum watch-a-commercial-get-a-clam from 5 to 3 — but I don’t know if the effect goes both ways (ie. watching commercials lowers max limit of speed-ups).

You get to speed up a character up to 20 times per calendar day and a building 10 times a day. This is not after 24 hours like the free clams are.
As Gregbmp has said, it does interfere with the free clams so it’s best to watch the videos to get your 5 free clams then speed up characters/buildings.
