There’s an update in the Apple App Store and Google Playstore, App Version 2.2.1. But you may wish to delay downloading it for now as it’s causing crashing on loading errors. Jam City are aware and working on a fix.
The update itself is mostly other behind the scene fixes, but does add a fun new splash screen.

You’ll be able play fine, and update whenever you wish as the glitch is now fixed.

Thank you for posting about this crash. I tried playing it and I couldn’t understand why until I saw the different background. First place I checked after was my email 🙂 You are the best RussianTigger I’m going to check if it’s on auto-update. it must be 😦
I makes me wonder why I still play this game. The drop rates insane for certain things and, at least for me, the further along in an event the harder it gets to complete. Also, my notification issue still isn’t resolved 😦

Do you think clearing the cache & stored memory would work to get rid of the crashing?

The only thing that occasionally works is reinstalling, but on,y if you’ve saved your game to an account. But it only let’s you in once then when you leave the game the issue starts again.

Game auto updated overnight and now crash city. Had a huge issue last winter and couldn’t play the whole Scrooge event. Ugh! Fix soon. Fingers crossed.

Thanks for the warning. I got it too late. I updated and it crashed. Had to look up the previous version and download it from another source in order to keep play. Hope it get fixed in time for use to continue playing.

Managed to stop the auto update on my iPad, but it’s too late for my phone, which I had just plugged in to charge and it already updated (and now crashes).
Don’t understand how this happens. It seems almost everyone on both IOS and Android is affected. Seems like this problem would have been caught in testing.

Well, I turned off automatic updates in settings on my iPad, but it still downloaded the new version after I plugged it in to charge, so now I’m out too. Ruined my attempt to get in one last robot snowman fight before he timed out. Thanks Tinyco!

Are they going to get round to the giving clams you dont have on start up glitch? i always have around 18 more showing than i actually have.

My Android tablet is set to automatically download app updates, so logging in as usual after lunch I was presented with a crashed game.
Didn’t see this until too late.

I got a message couple hours ago that support are working on it, I’ll update once I hear more, but with so many players impacted I’d imagine they’ll want it fixed quickly.
