to all those asking- I have the FF feature but it really doesn’t seem to help increase the drops for olives. I tried it twice yesterday with all 4 characters and got a total of 2 olives. This is the same drop I was getting without using it. VERY frustrating!! Personally, I like a game that is competitive and even hard- but not impossible. This event and trying to get Winter Meg have been almost impossible.

Finished early (helped by using full quota of video ff each day) which is quite surprising considering how far away the 25 olive goal seemed just 1 or 2 days ago. I’m convinced the probabilities in this game are not static; sorry to hear that others are still struggling to collect all they need.

I’ve had little luck with the FF feature this past week. However, I used it alot today to speed up Consuela several times and managed to get all but one olive that I needed. Quagmire later actually dropped the last one normally.
I will say that if I didn’t have the fast forward feature there would be no way I’d be anywhere close to unlocking Peter. I almost never use it anymore for free clams as it is much more helpful for speeding up tasks.

7 Olives total….so unless an olive miracle happens I won’t even get Quagmire…I have been playing every 4/6 hours for the three drops…what a boring event…I was so excited at first by the cute pizzas…

7 olives only so far and I am running the game as often as possible. I am resigned to the fact I wont get Peter in this last day but I truly hope I get quagmire at least otherwise the event was a waste of time.

Looks like I was lucky. Got Quagmire first as he helps with olives. Got Peter yesterday.

olive drops are horrendous.
seems like someone at JC/TC made a change to the frequency of ‘rare’ item drops

Can someone tell me the drop rate for olives from Pizza Joe? I’m tempted to buy him. Not just because the drop rate for olives is impossible….. and not improving as the game clockv ticks down – but because he’s funny.

Interesting that at the time I voted, 12 and 25 olives had the same number of votes at the top (21 each)…I wonder if this is an effect of the FF as much as the drop algorithm…I’ve had the FF the majority of this event and use it frequently – more than half of my olives have come from FF and I have dropped 21 total at this point…

It would be interesting to see how many people are using the FF feature to get their olives. Or clams for that matter. I really wish TinyCo would just level the playing field and commit to either rolling it out or taking it away for everyone.

I’ve been using the FF but stopped, it’s not worth it for me. The drop rate is terrible. I tried like 5 times with Consuela and nothing. I’ve even tried with Peter and the same. I have 6 and I think only 1 came from FF. I think TC/JC should make a new category for item drops…extinct. I, like another person on here, had high hopes for this event. It became obvious how bad this event was going to be once the only item left to get was the olives.

i agree with your last sentence completely. even if it’s meant to be a ‘beta’ feature most people seem to have had it for a very long time and the majority have never even had it once.
personlly i think they should get rid of it completely and just make item drops and event difficulty more consistent.

I’ve been using the FF, but it doesn’t seem to be making any difference. The drops seem to be coming from both ways with the same frequency – if just about never is a frequency 😉

I agree with many others- the olive drop is brutal. 4 characters going for the drop & if I get lucky I get 2 per day. I have Quagmire but only 6 for Pizza Peter so chances of getting him are real slim

Got Quagmire early Sunday morning. As of Monday evening, have 7/15 of the ones needed for Peter. Drops seems to have picked up a little, but still iffy to get Peter by end of event.

24 hours later, and only 2 more olives. Don’t see any way to get the remaining 6 before the week ends tomorrow afternoon. I won’t buy, just live with getting only 750 gold medals instead of 1000 for Peter.

I have 5 olives TOTAL! And no Fast Forward feature. 😠 I think that the FF feature should be available to everyone. I would be happy to spend clams to complete tasks.
It would interesting to ask those with 25 olives if they purchased any premium items and/if they have FF feature in their game.

I did not purchase any premium items but I did have the FF feature for the event. I used it extensively on olives – I only paid one clam to speed up what became the 25th and final olive needed – I had to go to a meeting and wanted to send tha character back to the task if I didn’t get the drop. (IIRC, it was Consuela – she was the best one to FF that I found.)
I’m still trying to understand the mechanics of the FF feature – it’s not an infinite number of attempts as, at some point, it stops working. I don’t know if it’s a task-related feature – at one time I noticed it stopped working for olives, but worked for another needed drop. But since I was able to obtain all other drops with minimal use of FF, I was not able to confirm this, I was able to get about 6 olives in a row FF’ing Consuela – took me 20+ attempts – then it stopped working altogether although it still shows in my game.
During one three week event, it seemed to be related to time, i.e., it seemed that I could FF task X number of times in a day, then it would stop working, only to work the next day, but again, only for a certain number of times…(I should have taken notes as it would be better to supply data than antidotes.) During that three-week event, I had it the first and last week, but not the middle week.
It’d be nice to understand why some players get it and others don’t. It’d also be nice to understand the mechanisms – I don’t want it to be an all-the-time, infinite-use feature as that’d be no fun, but if it’s a tool we can all use judiciously and equally, it’d be good…

The video ff limit certainly behaves like a daily quota in my game, possibly with minor undisclosed value differences between tasks. It’s been continually available in my game ever since they first launched it and is frankly the most important thing that keeps me playing, as FGTQFS was too horribly frustrating without it. I used to be regularly on the brink of quitting before they added it and probably will do if they take it away…!

Disappointing drops for olives, given the number needed for both characters. With one and a bit days to go, I still need 13 olives for Peter, and that is with regular rushing when allowed. Averaging about 1 olive for every 9 tasks 😕
