every time i go into the app the beautiful message that requires to waste my time by saying:”unable to open file usage starts file”, im using an android sadly. it pops up less than 30 seconds and no matter where i click on the screen it reloads the game and does so again. help please?

What kind of troubleshooting have you tried? Do you have your game saved to an email or Facebook so you can uninstall and reinstall the app?

i made sure that i have my data backed up in case i delete any app, so i tried to delete and install it again, just like the data, the problem also stayed.

Do you get iron Stewie after unlocking all the tentacles and tasks or do you have to get items?

You have to finish unlocking all of his parts in order to get the skin and 10 ducks.

Each time I try to enter the same part of the town, the app shuts down completely. I can’t progress in the game. Is anyone else having this problem?

So do you mean when you scroll? This is an odd thing. I would suggest to try the standard troubleshooting to see if it resolves it, and if not…TinyCo is really the best next step.

Try the basic trouble shooting…as long as you have an account created for the game….(hard close, clear cache, uninstall, restart your device and then reinnstall)

I kept getting that Consuela error 5 message pop up when trying to connect with facebook. I reinstalled the app and lost all my progress. It says I no account connect with that email address or facebook account when I try to recover my password or log in.

You need to get in touch with TinyCo as they are the only ones with access to the players accounts. They might be able to help you recover your account.

Tried again today still no joy. It doesn’t seem random, it happens after about two minutes. I then have to force close the app then all progress I had made has gone.

Sorry. Only other options outside of reaching out to TinyCo is an uninstall/reinstall to see if it corrects the issue. Just make sure you are linked to an account prior to doing it so it saves your game.

I’ve been getting ‘cannot connect to server problem’ this morning and I found out there was a manual update 1.1.5 in the google store. I updated the game and now i get a data error during my loading sequence… Is this an issue at the moment?

Yup. I tried the usual (reinstalling, restarting device etc). I even tried it on my brother’s phone and my ipad. Same issue. I guess the current version of the game (regardless of android or ios) is causing the problem. I lost so much time to finish my 5th challenge pretty much… so disappointing..

What’s the current questline you’re on? Giant Stewie hits on Phase 3, so if you’re not on phase 3 he won’t appear.

I have lost my town. The game has been crashing my Kindle Fire HD. Last night I was about to unlock Joe and it crashed again. I didn’t completely uninstall the game just took it off my device and re-downloaded it. Now I am at the beginning. I don’t see place to log in to get into my game. I was only level 12, but don’t want to have to start over. Is there anything that can be done?

District 9 is not in the game yet. TinyCo has to do an update to unlock it…probably after the Comic-Con event is over

It is just there to show you what is coming up, same as the other characters in the menu. They are just “placeholders” of what is to come. 🙂

Yes. All the event items will disappear thus Blam! will be a useless currency. As of right now we don’t know of any plans for a Blam! to cash conversion, but that doesn’t mean they won’t do something.

I just got enough harpoons to attack the mutant stewie but every time I click the button my screen freezes and stewie never comes back. I then have to close out of the game and reopen but it still won’t let me attack him. I even restarted my phone and still no luck

There is NO museum and no Cleveland’s house. I really need Cleveland to get some stuff for me and he should be in the game I started it around Comiconn. Cleveland is needed so I can progress. will someone please tell me how I can get Cleveland into this game already? It seems I should have him a long time ago.

Cleveland is not needed to progress. He was a limited time character introduced into the game via the Full Moon Event. He’s currently not available in the game. However, tinyco is working on ways to bring him back for those that missed out. Nothing is out yet, but we’ll let you know as soon as they rerelease him.

I really need Cleveland. Been playing for about a week when Comicon started. There’s no museum to buy, or his house. Been searching online to find an answer but that’s all they say. Need Cleveland. Does tinyco charge tax on there packages. Ex. I buy a $19.99 and I have that exact amount but it says insufficient funds but if I have 24$ it takes it. I talked to iTunes and they said the only way would be if there is tax but any game I have ever bought stuff for it was the exact amount, not taxed.

It depends on your state usually on what taxes you are given on “entertainment”. It varies by state and even country. Same goes for Satellite TV. Some areas pay 5% others pay up to 18%. All depends on where you live and what laws passed on taxing items.

I have never been charged more than the asking price for any game accept for family guy quest for stuff. I contacted iTunes and they aren’t taxing it and tinyco says it depends on state but I’ve never been charged for state taxes on iTunes in app purchases so I don’t know where that money is going so I’m not happy with the company right now if no one can tell me where that extra money is going

I get taxed ALL THE TIME on every app I play for purchases both through iTunes and Google Play. Every single time. Like I stated before, the tax is by YOUR state. Not the app markets themselves. You would have to speak to your government to find out more on entertainment taxes.

Could also be the state the app is located too. Taxes are always state controlled. EA is in California as well and I incur taxes on their apps too.

Where are you on the Comic Con phases? Do you have minions? Do you have Demon Stewie? Each one unlocked at specific points in the Phase Questlines. You can read them all on our Event Page.

My regular account I used for my game has been disabled & deleted so I transferred it to another fb account. The only problem is now when I try to login with the game with the new fb account is says games being used with another account (the one deleted) and thus can’t visit friends or anything. Phew!!! Now do you guys have any clue what I can do or am I FiretrUCKED?

The account is linked to the original FB. The only way to change that is to reach out to Tinyco and have them unlink it. Sorry.

Have you save your game to an email or Facebook account? We strongly recommend doing one or the other (Facebook you can link friends). That way you can easily swap the game to other devices and all your info will be saved if you ever have to uninstall the app or if something happens to your device.

So i have been playing the game for about 5 months on my iPod and now i got new iPhone and i transferred my account to my iPhone. Only problem is that i connected to Facebook before i restored my account with username and password because i thought that it would bring my account back. Now i want to connect my real account with Facebook but the game won’t let me. I went to my lvl 1 account connected to my Facebook and tried to sign out but it didn’t work. How can i sign out of Facebook with my level 1 account and connect my level 25 account to Facebook.

My question to you is this…the account you linked it to…is it a different one than you are currently logged into on your device? In other words, many players set up an alternate Facebook page for just this game. If so, you need to make sure that is the one you use to log in. Many people have their ACTUAL Facebook automatically logged in on their devices and have to log out of that one and into the alternate one so it will sync with the game.
Also, make sure you just didn’t use an email and password link. If you did, you need to use that email to log back in and recover your saved data.

As long as it is linked to an email or FB account, it is being saved. To check, go to Menu, Account, and see if there is an email or name listed in the tabs along with your Player ID at the bottom. Another way of knowing is if you have lots of friends to visit. Linking to a FB account is required to have friends.
Then it is just a matter of using that exact same email or FB and logging in on another device.

Sooooo… With certain limited time items I like to get a nice little stockpile going. But, currently the only way I can make a purchase is by having all of the same item out of my inventory and then it lets me buy another one. (For example I go to the buy menu, select fence, go to place fence and instead of giving me a new one it places the one I already have in my inventory.) It makes it tough with certain items (like the over 1,000 lava fences) to have to have them all out before I can buy more. Am I not doing this right? Is there a way to purchase items to add to my current amount without having to take the ones I already own out of my inventory? Is this just the way the games set up? Or is this just me? I play in iPad – dunno if that makes a difference. Thanks in advance! You guys rock!

Force as in clear out all the cache and data for the app off your device, uninstall the app, restart your device, then reinstall the app. See if that makes it kick in to the newer versions of the app.
You just need to make sure you have your game linked to an email or FB account so it saves your progress for the game. Then you can re log back in to the saved game after it’s reinstalled.

Also, do I NEED the furry funhouse? Should I unlock captain hammered, hooker peter, or golden suit peter first? I have tasks for all 3..
The only real way to get clams seems to be to purchase them, do people actually spend 99.99 on fake currency? That’s unreal… I could almost buy an actual game console with that 😦 any other way?

Furry funhouse is needed for Quagmires tasks. Captain Hammered is needed to move forward in the questlines. I say build him and forget the other two skins for now.

If you have saved the game to an email or Facebook account, you just have to log back in. Outside of that, you will have to see if TinyCo has a way of locating it.

Hey!
I’ve also had problems with Enfant Terrible pt 1, where I maxed out the kill bar (25x) and then even managed to kill him again after 25x (although it doesn’t give more bonus for that), yet I’m still stuck on pt 1. For a while could Peter and Christ collect pestercides but now I don’t have that option anymore. On the mission it just says “learn how to kill Giant Stewie”
Any tips?

IF you have not completed the prior Phase, you wont be able to do anything for the newer phases. You need to complete all of Enfant Terrible to move on. If it is stuck on the tasks, you may need to reach out to TinyCo for further help.

Have louis doing a challenge inside fantastic four building. Mutant stewie is on it..when I go to zap it, it shoots a blank! Then the screen freezes! I was just about to get rid of my geeks too by Louis! So angry. Anyone else?

My game is linked to my fb acct, but I don’t know how to log in on my iPhone. It goes through the intro and starts the game at the beginning. How do I get out of that to get to a login page?
