OMFG. I tapped on houses to collect the coins… and I accidentally spent 35,000 on clearing the land behind it. I needed that to get in the theme park district and clearing land/fixing stuff. I can’t believe it.

So I’m not sure if this has already been answered, but I signed up for an account on my iPad today through the Create a user button. My phone only gave me the option for Facebook and Google Plus log-in. So when I logged in on my phone it reverted to the iPad version which is basically the first two “levels”, as opposed to on my phone which had almost everything and 400 clams along with several hundred thousand coins. I had the new Rupert and everything! =)
Have I lost it all now? And why didn’t my phone give me an option besides Facebook and google plus. I could go to the second screen after switch accounts or whatever it was, but it only gave me the option on my phone to sign in with username, never create one. I’ve emailed Tinyco, but of course no reply. Is there anyway to revert to the awesomeness my phone held? =)

You created the account on your ipad, which was new. That’s the issue. So because you created the account on a low level game and then signed in on your phone it replaced your phone game with the saved game.
I think TinyCo will be able to restore your phone game, you’ll just need a little bit of patience. Make sure you indicate that you purchased clams etc from it and hopefully they can get it back for you. Beyond that, there’s no “trick” i can give you to get it back. With out creating an account on your phone you can’t revert back to it unless TinyCo helps. 😦

You’ll have to clear the cache, uninstall, restart your device and download it again. That should help trigger it to restart for you.

For those experiencing this issue… it is a known one… here are some things you can try while TinyCo sees if they can do more on their end to help as well.
As a temporary workaround, Google suggests clearing Google Play Store’s data from your phone and then trying to install the game. To do this, go to Settings > Application Manager > All > Google Play Store > Clear data.
A second possible workaround is to re-install the entire Google Play Store App. To do this go to Settings > Apps > All > Google Play Store > uninstall updates. After that try to install the game again.

So today I went to move my Al Harringtons and tgen the game crashed. I got back on and Als disappeared along with the Stewie Tea Party quest and any items used to unlock character skins (I had Falcon Peter waiting to be unlocked after collecting all items for him.) Now, I scroll to Falcon Peter in Peters skins and it says I need to unlock Als in the shopping district to get the items for him! What the heck do I do now? I can’t progress anymore in the game without Als and it’s NOWHERE in my game! Please help.

Wow…that is an issue. Send a message to TinyCo ASAP, tell them exactly what you just posted and any other info you can…the more detailed the note the better. Use this post for guidance. It may take up to 3 days for a reply. Just be patient. Let us know the progress. 🙂

I had a level 8 game but I had to do a factory reset on my phone, now I have a level 29 but it won’t let me connect to facebook saying “There is already a saved game (Nellie level 8) associate with this Facebook ID. If you replace it you current saved game ( level 29) will be replaced” How do I connect to my facebook without loosing aaaaaaaaalllllllll that I have gained?

DO NOT SELECT REPLACE….you’ll lose your progress. Send a message from within the game to TinyCo. Main menu, help & support, “contact us”. Tell them about this in detail, include your Facebook info. Tell them about the warning screen pop up. They can help you reconnect to your current game status.

Please help. My phone broke and I got a replacement. I reinstalled the app and I lost EVERYTHING. The problem is I sent a LOT of money, had special characters and was up to level 32. How do I recover my progress? Please? :(.

Hmmm…ok I don’t want you to lose your game. Better safe than sorry. Go into the main menu and select “account info”, set up and email account (it’s very easy). Then you will be safe to uninstall/reinstall your game. Use this post to help you:

Okay so I just upgraded to a new phone ( Had galaxy s3 upgraded to galaxy s5) and I would like to continue playing the game on my new phone but when I got to the settings ~ account info and select login with facebook, it tells me that their is already another user (which is me) using the account and that if I want to use that profile I have to lose all my profess and restart back at level 1! Please help me fix this. I really live this game!

It’s written weird. It actually is saying you will lose your level 1 game, the one that loaded on the new phone. Just hit ok and your old game will load. Since it is linked to a Facebook account. You won’t lose your saved game.

I keep getting a screen saying there is an upgrade please update now to keep playing. When I click update now it takes me to App Store (I play on an iPad Air) when I get to the store there is no update available. And it takes me back to the game and starts the cycle over again. Do you guys know anything about this? Is there a way to make it go away? I did a hard restart and that didn’t help.

Ok heres my problem I had it on my old phone and I just upgraded to the galaxy s5 I had to install the game go through the whole beginning add my facebook and got back to where I was in my games but the only problem is that the sound of the character dont come in what can I do to fix that

This is a reoccurring problem that TinyCo is tackling. I would first try an uninstall/reinstall. If it doesn’t work…you’ll need to contact TinyCo within the game.

How about a suggestion to make the game more enjoyable:
Create a character that has a guaranteed drop. The task time could be 2-3 times the normal task time to account for the rarity (example: 24-48 hours for plutonium instead of the 8-hr task), but it would be guaranteed. It would really help when you just need that one item that will not drop. Maybe make the Mafia Don, since he can get anything. Whatever items you are working on would be available. This would be in place of the buildings, which are effectively all premium since they cost a lot of clams.
Just a thought and figured I would share.

Here is a troubleshooting sequence to try:
Try a hard close, then shut your device off completely to clear the memory cache. Then fire everything back up. If this doesn’t work, the next step is an uninstall/reinstall (make sure your game has an email account set up, or Facebook/Google linked account). If this does nothing, send an email to TinyCo: help@tinyco.com Give them as much information as possible.i.e device used, description of problem, when it started..etc. Good luck. Let us know the status. 😉

I keep getting a prompt to install
An update for the game but when I try it keeps stopping and says insufficient memory and I have more than enough memory for it. Its wierd because my wife never got a prompt to update so is ther even one that came out today.

I looked in the details section google play where u download the update and all it talks about is the pyramid thing which I already got, I’m thinking it’s a glitch

Do you have the game on your main device storage? Or do you have the option for an alternate one, like mini external SD card? On my GS4 I put this and the other game on my external. Both are full of info and need a LOT of space. At least 2GB for the other. This one I allow at least 1GB. If you have the option and DON’T have the game there, try moving it in your applications manager to see if it makes a difference.
In the mean time, make sure you have a LOT of space open on your device to download any updates. I usually keep at least 2GB free space on my device mainly for big downloads.
If all that does not help, you may want to contact TinyCo for additional help.

Sometimes if there is too much going on the tasks “catch”. That can be resolved by completing other outstanding tasks not completed in your task bar. Also, it could be you just have not completed the next step to go forward. Stewie starts part 4 after Lois. Do you have him unlocked yet?

Can I still get Cleveland? I started playing the day that the kingdom of the full moon ended and I got the sandy pyramid but nothing else. Face space says I need his house.

As of right now, no. However, TinyCo has advised that they’re working on a way to add him back into the game in the future. So best advice is just sit tight and be patient. He’ll come back eventually 🙂

I found that you have to use the right arrow through all your neighbors instead of the pictures. When you get to the last one do the arrow again and a pop up box appears and asks if you want to add more neighbors and says later and something else. I was stuck on 20% for a while too but have completed that achievement. Hope that helps

To fill the time between events I’ve been working on the achievements. I cannot seem to make any progress on the run out of friends to visit. I’ve been playing the game since a couple of weeks before the circus event. I am stuck at 20%. I visit all friends every morning right after I wake up. Any ideas what to do? I’ve unlocked everything except that one, collect 500,000 coins (was close until the start of the last district and all of hype new land)
, and Peter shipoopi 100x. Hoping I can complete this district quickly and finish them off. Thank you!

Yeah…I think there is a problem with it. I’ve been stuck at 30%. I’ve tried to just move through all my visits using the upper right arrow (like another reader suggested) but it has not helped. Going to ask TinyCo about it.

Consuela always comes up and says “no no” and I get a data error message to try again. For a while. I thought my net was down
Sucks because I was on level 40 (max level atm) and I do NOT have facebook so I can’t add it to my game thing there..

Oh and off topic but when I try to access the AppStore also, it lags to load and keeps saying “loading” but nothing actually happens. Idk if it has anything to do with the family guy game screwing up but ever since I stupidly updated it. Both stopped working simultaneously

I am seeing reports of players having issues loading the game. Variable reasons. Most I can suggest is the basic troubleshooting…my concern is the fact you stated it is NOT linked to a Facebook account. There is nothing that saved the data if you did not opt for an email save.
So in your case, I would suggest contacting TinyCo right away as the basic troubleshooting may wipe out your game permanently and they are only ones that can recover it for you if that happens. Just better to be safe in that way.

Since the last update a week ago I haven’t been able to play the game at all. The game always end up crashing, either just when the loading bar reach 100% or after a few seconds into the game. After checking a bit on the facebook page I noticed that I wasn’t the only one with this problem. Does they know about this ? Are they working on a fix ? I spent a couple dozen euros on clams for a game I cannot play anymore (and just when Stewie is released !), this is really irritating…

What kind of device are you experiencing this on? Have you contacted TinyCo yourself to see if they could help? Each issue varies by device and/or user…so it is hard to offer an answer without more information.

I didn’t contact them because the issue started to appear right after the patch so I’m pretty sure it’s coming from their end. I’m using a Samsung Galaxy S3 and almost every messages I’ve seen on their facebook page describing the exact same problem were also on S3… I’ll give it a shot but I don’t have high hopes.

I only ask as people tend to vent or state problems with their devices, but don’t report it. By reporting it, their techs are able to visually see how many players are impacted, the devices impacted, and possibly see if there is a compatibility or trend issue with that device going on.
It really does help to let them know. I will also ask in the meantime.
May I get some more info from you to send to them myself too? What patch exactly are you talking about? Approx date? (A lot have been released recently.) What are the specific issues you are running in to? When does it happen? What troubleshooting have you tried? Etc…

What are the differences between free players and premium players? Is the only difference purchasing clams and clam currency items?

Yup. Freemium players won’t put a dime into the game, and only use the clams they earn for free while playing the game. Premium players will put money into the game, even if it’s only $5 over the lifetime of the game. As soon as you put money into it you’re a premium player 🙂

Hi! On july 14th at around 6pm EST, I’ve been having issues regarding launching the game. Tried relaunching and even force closing the game several times now, but Consuela still keeps saying that I couldn’t connect to the server. She’s getting on my nerves and it’s getting frustrating. I’m about to unlock Falconer Peter and I just couldn’t do it coz of technical related issues. I tried checking out the appstore for updates, but there’s just none. Hope engineers from tiny co are already well aware of this issue and fix it in no time coz I seriously looooove this game!

I have Brian unlocked and library placed. I cannot complete golddigger island part 6 or a whole lotta bull part 4. The tasks are bith in the task list but i do not see gold digger island or fences in the shopping list under decos or buildings or characters. When i scroll over in the decos menu, the game closes down for no reason. The game seems to be waiting to move forward until I complete those tasks. What do you suggest?

Try a few troubleshooting methods like a hard close to see if it corrects it. You can also try a complete uninstall/reinstall of the app as long as you have linked your game to an email or Facebook for recovery (needed to get your game back). Double check to see if your characters have completed all their other tasks that may be holding them up from being able to finish these ones.
Outside of that, contacting TinyCo via your in game menu and letting them know the issue will give them a chance to look into it to see if there is another issue going on. (Especially with the scroll crash).

Been practically unable to get on the game at all for the past week or two it just crashes at the loading screen and regularly get the uh oh crashing problems screen. Im on an ipod touch and i try all day to get on it and I’m lucky if it gets onto the town once a day. Im sure looking at facebook that I’m not the only one, the recent bug fix update did nothing to help. Is this a known issue and is there any word on a fix?

Oh…if it has only been 24hrs, give them a lil time. It usually takes 24-72 hours for them to get to each received help request from players, go into your game, locate issue, troubleshoot, etc…then respond. Hang in there a bit. If you haven’t heard back after a week, let us know. 😉

It sure is, as long as you have created either an email account or Facebook/Google account, then your game has been saved on the main servers. Once you get your new phone, just download the game and begin playing. It will start at level 1, read this post for the instructions on how to load your current game.

Hi,
My family guy quest for stuff game was working fine, I was on level 33. I brought extra clams and coins off someone on eBay which then went into my account to add them, my account worked fine for a day, now all of a sudden it’s gone to level 1 and I don’t think I have an account only a Facebook one which when I log out and back in goes to the level 1 account. I was wondering if it’s due to this person adding the extra clams?? And if there is a way of getting it back??

This is very sad to me. 😦 We try to stress to ALL players to avoid the “modified” game dealers. Now you can’t reach out to TinyCo because they ban such activity. Try playing the level one game until it gets to the point were the main menu becomes available. Go to the account info screen, select “sign in as another player” then enter your Facebook info. You’ll get a message that reads you’re about to lose your level 1 game. Ignore it and select “OK”. If your level 33 game doesn’t load. Then your game (and money)….were taken by the “eBay” individual. Sorry, other than the tip I just gave you….there’s nothing more we can do for you. Let us know if it helped. 🙂

I seem to be having trouble gathering a large amount of coins. I finished district 7 right as the Fourth of July event began so I didn’t really have much free time to save up coins. I have all the buildings built and even some premium ones. I put all my characters on tasks at all times including the ones who aren’t involved in any quests or item drops. With the new district being open now and the buildings and block clearing prices are much more costly I was wondering if you guys have any tactics to getting more coins faster or to getting a larger amount of coins at a time? Or is this just a normal thing that takes time to save up? Patience isn’t really the issue here, I’m just curious if I’m just not very savvy with my Quahog currency 😉. Thanks!

Many use office “farming”. They buy a couple of rows worth, then collect hourly (“common” is the office of choice). Once their wallets are “fat” they put them back into inventory…until they need fast cash again.

I had the family guy game on my iphone and i was up quite a few levels. I now have a new phone, is there any way i can restore my game to my new phone without having to start again?
