1hr Task Results and a New Poll About Sarcophagus

Hello There Clammers!

As another new feature to the Full Moon Event has been added to our games, I want to get YOUR thoughts on the Mysterious Sarcophagus as well as share the results of the 1hr task poll.

First the new stuff….this week we want to know what YOU think about the Mysterious Sarcophagus:

Now let’s get to the results of the task poll…

As I assumed, most of you were thrilled with the 1hr tasks being set in place in the game!  And they did help you earn more stuff, even faster!

Here are the final numbers:

Do You Like 1hr (shorter) Tasks to Earn Stuff?

70%- Yes, the 1hr tasks were GREAT!  Helped me earn that stuff faster!  TinyCo should add MORE 1hr tasks.

22%- Yes, they helped, but I think TinyCo Should add even SHORTER times.

8%- No, I’m still having a hard time earning the stuff from 1hr tasks.  The short task times are not a help at all.

All in all it looks like 92% of you enjoyed the shorter task times, and they did help greatly in acquiring the STUFF needed to unlock Adventure Peter & Cleveland…but 22% of you still wish they were even shorter times (like maybe 30m tasks?)

What are your thoughts on the Sarcophagus?  Have you purchased any in your Quahog?  How about on the 1hr tasks?  Sound off in the comments below, you know we LOVE hearing from you!

  1. Not fan of this update either. I wouldn’t even call it an update, as the only content was “gamble or buy clams” sorry but this doesn’t cut it.

The most disturbing thing is with the direction this company is going is they continue to release the same type of update despite people specifically stating they are not a fan of these things costing clams (or they plain just don’t like them).

This poll was posted on Jun 17th, and as we can see, overwhelmingly exactly how people feel. So what does Tinyco do? Release another “update” for items requiring clams but not idols (or in game cash), then they post yet another poll asking our feedback, then again, we say we don’t like it.

Tinyco does not listen, plain and simple. Expect this to be a trend

  2. I’m happy! Went with Stewie twice and got 6500 idols and then 500 clams on the second go 🙂 sounds like a win-win to me. I think I’ll make my camel jump again just for fun.

  3. A big problem for me with the game at the moment is that any way to get close to all the prizes is spend clams. With the launch of the sarcophagi, what balance there was between freemium and premium has disappeared, which is a great shame.

    • totally with you on this… You’d think with it being the 1st major event that they would be trying to favour opinion and build on their user-base; not trying to alienate people with these constant money-grabbing gimmicks… its way beyond the pale and unfortunately it has left me wondering whether I should cut my losses :@

  4. As long as Tiny Co is willing to extend full refunds to anyone who has exhibited signs of problem gambling due to this stunt, I don’t have a problem with it. My whole (somewhat defunct) blog — Google me! 🙂 — is about my adventures in online poker, so I know whereof I speak! Actual casinos and poker players can’t make that refund offer because it would allow people to “game the system” and take a free-roll-of-the-dice for a chance of winning real money. But in this case the “system” is a just “game” to begin with, so it can’t be the other way around.
Then again, if you do have a predilection towards a gambling problem (OK, pal, keep telling yourself you are just a “completionist” :p ), losing a drum of clams today beats the heck out of figuring it out on your first trip to Las Vegas in the future. “I came to Vegas in a $7,000 car, and here I am, a week later, leaving in a $300,000 bus!”
With all that said, the whole sarcophagus development doesn’t surprise me after the Pyramid turned into an homage to the Luxor Las Vegas casino two weekends ago. Captain Louis Renault might be “Shocked, shocked!” but me not so much 🙂 “You’re winnings sir!” Full disclosure: I took two rides on Brian’s Cryptic Capsule, won two Fancy Magma Shrines in return, and I know how to quit when I’m ahead….

  5. I’m a completist to the core, yet I still can’t bring myself to buy the sarcophagi. I tossed in my hat for chance during my last dance with chance-based events.

    • Mind you, I don’t mind spending money on an awesome game at all. I don’t want to say how much I’ve spent on both games, but I’d rather spend my money on things I know I’ll get. If I want to gamble, I’ll play online poker.. Or go to Vegas.

    • I agree 100%. I opened a few (maybe 5 of each) sarcophagi, and I started having Easter fence flashbacks after I got the dance floor. The whole thing got real dumb real fast. There are enough inventory queens in this whole campaign without spending any money. Party camel and swordsman suck since you can’t task them, they make no money, AND they take up valuable real estate. It would be different if they wandered around town. Once you get past 50k butts, you also have no idea what you are working toward. Stonecutters redeemed TSTO, and I hope TinyCo does something to make this better before the end of this campaign. 13 days, folks. End rant.

  6. Same here. I got clams first, but only really enough to cover the charge of the purchase. Then I got 2 1600 butts and one dance floor. RIP OFF CENTRAL. At least make it fair and have it for butts, or a small amount of clams. Tiny Co feels like a company that is trying to make the most money out of this in a short period. I have a bad feeling this game is not going to be around for long.
