Hello There Clammers!
Halloween has arrived in Quahog! And Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead. In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls! And there’s no cooler way to do that than with the Ghostbusters! (or Quahogs cheap imitation of them anyway..)
Throughout the course of the Halloween Event we’ve been unlocking these Ghostbusting fools, and now that the set is complete let’s take a closer look at just what they can do for you in Quahog!
The first 4 phase of the Halloween event saw a different Quahog Ghostbuster unlocking each week…starting with their “fearless” leader…Peter Griffin!
Ghostbuster Peter was unlocked during Phase 1 of Halloween.
To unlock Ghostbuster Peter you needed the following:
500 Spirit Vials
15 Ghost Dusters (uncommon): Earned by: Make Quagmire Order New Toys OR Make Peter Dig Through Attic OR Make Jerome Borrow a Halloween Costume OR Get From Macabre Curiosities.

The final Quahog Ghostbuster to join the team was Winston err Cleveland! Ghostbuster Cleveland arrived with Phase 4, but you need Cleveland to get him (Cleveland was previously released as a freemium character during Kingdom of the Full Moon & was then re-released as premium).
To unlock Ghostbuster Cleveland you needed the following:

Lame.. I know the ghosts are gone but I was still hoping for the tasks of catching them. Now imo those skins only serve the purpose of Glenn and Peter crossing the streams. Don’t think there is any animated use of their Proton Pack? Guess we have to wait till next year for them to light em up. Unless you want to bust the Gluttonous Ghost by using your imagination
Also wish they had a combined (3-4 of them) animated task.

Quagmire’s 2hr task earns 50 SV and 10 FP for me. A glitch in my favor? If so I’d like to call it Glinda. Glinda the Good Glitch. Say that five times fast. Kinda fun. Maybe not as fun as wacky waving inflatable arm flailing tube man but still.

I’m still upset that TinyCo used limited time Cleveland as a Ghostbuster. I feel its unfair that they pretty much punished players like me, who came late to the game to pay 400 Clams to complete the Ghostbusters set. What really makes the situation worse is that TinyCo released Consuela for 40% off. Why didn’t TinyCo give that good of a deal to acquire Cleveland to help newer players finish the set?
I being a freeium player would have paid for Cleveland if the price was more reasonable for a character that shouldn’t be limited in the first place. Cleveland is a co-star on the series, so it makes no sense that he’s in that category even if he happened to have his own show at the time of game development. Actually, TinyCo should have known The Cleveland Show was getting cancelled and Cleveland was returning, since it takes 1 year in advance to develop an animated TV series season. Cleveland being limited is strictly bad decision making by TinyCo.

In the last 24 hours left in this event, do you know of any other surprises TinyCo may turn loose on us at the last second? After converting all my un-needed ingredients into vials, I now have 16,000 and nothing to use them on.

I just checked the app store and there’s a new update – version 1.4.0 showing it’s a Quahog Clam Festival – SPOILERS AFTER THIS –
“It’s that time of year where Quahog goes cray cray for clams. that’s right, this month is the Quahog Clam Festival! You know what is is cray cray? Quahogians have reported an alien walking around. Could it be Roger from American Dad?…”

An Update just hit my game! Did you notice it? It is the Update for an American Dad Event! But there are no InGame changes yet!

I unlocked Mr. Weed earlier and the game crashed right as the cauldron finished. I lost the viles I spent but not the materials, contacted TinyCo but have yet to get a response, hopefully they can sort me out before the event runs out. I’m still close to 8,000 viles short of unlocking him again and I really doubt I can pull that off before things end.

The ghostbusters are awesome and have great animation when zapping the ghosts and banshees. Good thing it didn’t take Bill Murray and Dan Akroyd 2 hours to bust their ghosts tho or we would all be in serious trouble :=)

I am asking myself, if they maybe next year, would give out the characters and costumes you didn’t get this year, but then as premium or something. maybe the same with the comic-con event. that would be cool ,wouldn’t it?

Does it bug anyone else that certain characters haven’t added anything to the event? Lazy workshy buggers who won’t get you any viles/xp? No? Just me that feels a bit resentful towards them? Ok. Just me then eh😳

Is there an guess-timate time as to when the event ends tomorrow? Would like to convert as much stuff to vials & spend them before the event ends. Only Ghostbuster I didn’t get is Cleveland because I didn’t have 300 clams to spend to get him. 😞 I wish we had the option to buy some of the Day of the Dead stuff as this event is ending, want more marigolds! Was traveling over this past weekend & could only check into my game to do maintenance tapping. Forgot to buy more marigolds before mini event ended. UGGGHHHH! 😫

It’s been fun, but now I’m ready for this to be over, I got all the prizes and the only thing left in the mystery box is death statue. So it doesn’t make sense to keep earning vials or things to brew with nothing to cash in for. Wish they would have extended consuelas costume, I just barely missed out on that one.

AMERICAN DAD is on the way. My game updated through the App Store. And what’s mkre, they’ve added a nuke option like TSTO, plus, you can earn 2 clams by tapping on Carl when he’s in town, but you just have to watch a few seconds of American Dad clips to earn, which, I don’t mind doing. Can’t wait for roger to appear, nor can I wait for Steve, Stan, francine, Hayley, and hopefully klaus.

Did you finish all of the Weekly Challenges and placed each one into your town at some time to complete the task? Did you get the pop up to go check out the Ecto 1? If so, did you go check your inventory for it? If not, do you have a lot of tasks still unfinished in your menu task bar?

I love the Ghostbusters so this is cool. I was hoping they would have a four person task as a team. And I hope they keep the Ghostbusting tasks after the event as I like the laser animation. Maybe bust slimer?? Or meg hahaha

With the Terror Dogs and Banshees leaving when the portal disappears, it would be great if they just modify the task to “generate” the item to be ‘busted, rather than dropping the animations altogether.
Worst case at least we should still have the slimer vs Cleveland and Joe, and Crossing the Streams.

I unlocked all of them and love them. This whole event has been fun. Just trying to scrounge up the last few thousand vials I need. My only real gripe is I wish they announced Slimer earlier. I wound not have wasted vials on other things if I knew about him.

I love the crew. I just wished they had a 4+ task. That’d be awesome. Also, they payoff of vials is weird.

They always penalize for using long time tasks. If you were to look at all the tasks you would see the short time tasks always are a better payout for equal time to the long time tasks. You need to balance your game play accordingly. For example, I usually send everyone on 2 hr tasks (missles and vial/coin collection) except for the 4 hour collection tasks (stink bombs and traps). However, on my last login of the day, I shift everyone to 6-8 hour tasks except for the collection squads because even though I lose coin overall, I can sleep.

The only character I don’t have from entire halloween event is Diane and is really not fair what happened… I started that quest before they wrote the “Tip” and now I lost her… Got every single character beside Diane and this is really frustrating…. They should have given that tip from the beginning …. 😦 wish they would give a chance to get her 😦
