Hey there Clammers!
TinyCo has decided to drop a silly lil surprise into our games for the Romancing the Clam Event. Arnold’s Tank.
For the cost of 60 Clams you can add a Tank Decoration to your game.
Why a decoration? Well it does a lil more than you think. It unlocks an animated task for Arnold outdoors. “Will It Crush?” The task will run for 4hrs with a payout of 20 Homemade Valentine’s & 30XP.
The task pretty much is self descriptive. Arnold goes over to the tank and wiggles himself inside. Then 3 objects appear in front of him. A couch, a TV, and a bathtub. The Tank then runs each one over and crushes it. (More of a…an item pops up, tank rolls over it just in the front, tank reverses.) He hops out. Repeat. It sits on a 6×6 base.

Probably gonna pass on this. I might have paid clams for a Terminator skin or something like that. I’ve said this before, but it’s suprising with the new movie upcoming, that’s theres no or little in game references yet. But I guess there’s time for that in the future.
This deco is a bit like the fire ring for Pee Pants. The task looks kinda fun, but is it worth that amount. Although I did get that deco when it was reoffered recently. So never say never ;-).

I brought the tank thinking it would be one that moves on the roads. I wish I hadn’t bothered what a waste of 60 clams. It’s in my inventory along with most of the other decorations.

Meh, tempting, but gotta pass on this one. Sux that I won’t be able to perform ALL of Arnold’s tasks, but simply cannot afford every item the game offers up. To paraphrase the words of another fan from our site, I’m gonna have to “equip the epic shield of self restraint'”

Hey the pic of him with his Gatling gun, is that actually in game? I have him and don’t see it in tasks. I did buy the tank, love it, but then I own green armor myself so im partial to tanks 8)

Would have loved if Tiny Co made a donation to Arnold’s charity for each tank bought, as that is what he uses it for in real life.

The American version is on over here in the UK and most of the units they auction off are full of crap, just like everyone’s Inventory in this bloody game 😉

HAHAHAHAHAH. Trust me, I have discussed in length the “Inventory” with them. They did at least add the tabs, now just if they would go a lil step further. 😉

I just had to buy this for Arnold. Well, I guess this is another event in the bag. So what’s next? A sci-fi event? Hopefully we will get Sigourney Weaver in the game with that event after she was hinted at by Tinyco when they were giving us some spoilers recently about people that “aren’t afraid of Predator and Alien!” Well we have Arnold now so hopefully we will get Ripley soon.

Absolutely not! It’s just a ripoff, I learned my lesson during my first event (which was Christmas ) my inventory is filled with stuff I can’t use and has absolutely no purpose whatsoever. And all these characters and skins we spend soo many clams on are useless after the event that they are offered in. They really need to revamp the way the game is played since they have events every single month they should make the items cost way less clams, and they should include all the characters and skins in the events maybe not all of them at the same event but rotate them so that ALL of the characters and skins can be used and not be just a huge colossal waste of money. If this game keeps being so expensive to play ( cause you want to participate in the events, and a lot of the quests and things are almost impossible to do without forking out clams) then I will be saying goodbye to quahog and the family guy gang. No way should a phone app cost more to play then online MMO games or **** even ps4 games aren’t this expensive. I just started playing in Dec and I could have bought a few ps4 games with the money wasted on this.

How many of those console games offer free downloadable content every month? You can get a ton out of this game at no cost. You can get nearly everything at $20.00/month, less than the cost of a new game and the cost of 1-4 dlc for a standard console game that offers it. You are obligated to purchase nothing to play this game each month. Can’t say that about most mmorpg. If you spend too much on this game, quit or get help if you can’t quit, but out of all the freemium games out there, Tinyco puts far more work into FG:TSFS than any other. They listen and make appropriate changes. Nothing good comes for free. I promise you that.

Payed out money to get clams for Arnie, and for Benedict, but no not this time, to high a cost for more useless junk 10 clams maybe, this should have been a task, not another chance to get more money from us. Would have been nice to be able to use the Harrier though. Maybe before more stuff is intriduced they should have freed more land, had to put even more stuff into inventry to allow for valantine. Pretty soon will have more stuff in inventy than in my town.

I realy whant the cinima from the mystery box o got everything acept the thing I whant so I’m desperately trying to get 1000 valentines all the time. Got all charecters all costumes at least almost hot Meg. The cinima would go great in my city area and I realy whant it

Not for me, I caved and bought Arnold but I’m not spending more clams on something that’ll be useless after the event.
Maybe TinyCo should think about introducing a second inventory so we’d have one for buildings and useful stuff and one for all the CRAP we’re left with after these events!!!
Or at least a way of selling back EVERYTHING we don’t want or need

No way I am buying this even though I bought Arnold. Generally I like TinyCo but adding animated junk for Clams just ticks me off. To keep the game from crashing constantly I nuked the town after Christmas and took out a minimum of decorations and houses. If I bought this it would join storage together with all the other moving decorations.

This is the problem with the game as whole, not just the event. The problems compound when you blow up your town and can’t find anything because your town no longer loads due to poor coding on Android phones running Lollipop. I’m personally reduced to a thin strip road, with only about 7 buildings so I don’t crash when tapping PDA couples. Which I will never be able to obtain hot Meg because of all the crashing. Just got the Cupid statue thing yesterday, partially from help of the wedding chapel. Strongly considering a break until they fix their Lollipop issues.

Both your issues sound like issues with your own personal device as opposed to the game itself. It’s a pretty large game and is updated constantly. Any game that works like that will start to see more and more issues the longer you go without updating your device. If you play on a current gen device which is what the game is made for you’ll have zero crashing issues. Also things like new firmware for old phones will slow down your entire phone ink using the game. Unfortunately this is how tech works nowadays.

Agree with Andrew. In addition, players need to make sure their current devices are running clean and uncluttered. If you are running Android, there is a great free app available in the play store, to help with that. Research your device and give it a tune up!

I agree, 310 clams In total is a bit steep even for Arnold and his toys.
What next TinyCo? A melting metal Cyborg to chase him round the streets for 100 clams 😦

Not worth it, IMHO. Looks like a quick after thought. If they had introduced it earlier and if it gave hearts instead of valentines then maybe…

I bought this tank for the whole reason of hating locked character tasks. If it had not been for that, wouldn’t have bought it. It’s 3 times the size of Peter’s tank and the animation is blase at best.
120 for a goat(ridiculous expensive!) and now 60 for this…. Really do not like these staggered mid-week clam grabbing deco items. I wish the goat was a modal at least. I’d be more apt to buy these decos and helper buildings, like the now completely unnecessary Second Chance Chapel, if I had the event length to think of them. Not a few days when they are near useless.
Next time I nuke the town, the Tank will stay out, but ONLY because of Arnold’s locked task.

ehh, I haven’t really spent much clams on anything during this event, didn’t get Arnold nor the other character that was for clams. I did mention I was waiting after the 1st phase to see what else was to come out, and so wasn’t impressed with buying anymore characters that are jus gonna be useless way after this event and in a few months Lol! i do have alot of un-used characters who I have purchased for clams and now they spend all the time on 24-hour tasks…kinda annoying in my opinion. ❤ 🙂

I have a fair number of those characters that I’ve put in storage. When a new event comes out, I check to see if they have anything to contribute. If they don’t, right back in storage they go. I have plenty of $$, so they don’t really add anything.

yeah i gave in and was bummed when it was a decoration that didn’t do anything. but i had sent everyone on jobs before getting it, so thanks for letting me know Arnie can use it…its my next task when he’s free!! lol

I think it’s awesome!! I love everything about Arnold!! I wish it would go on the roads though. This event has just been one fun event!! I can’t wait for the March event!! I sure hope they bring a box or two out before the event ends!! I have almost 100,000 HMV. LOL

Bye bye clams. I had to have Arnold, so I got him when he came out. I usually try to hold on to my clams. But come on, its a tank! Also this is a neat take on an item that they did.

Probably not just because with how close I’m going to be on the hearts for Hot Meg and the Valentine Cards for everything I missed, I need him for other things. Plus might as well save my clams for the next event! I made the mistake of getting decos for the prizes instead of buildings and now I’m paying for it with my lack of HVCs =(
