Hey there Tribblemakers!
Star Trek has taken over Quahog! A Starfleet Shuttle has conveniently crashed in Quahog and apparently someone decided that the future of the Galaxy should rest on Peter’s shoulders. (cause that sounds like a smart idea!) It’s your mission to help Peter save the Galaxy, after all it’d be a pretty boring game if he did it by himself!
Along the way you’ll encounter characters from the USS Enterprise that you may need to acquire Materials in order to be able to get them. Captain Kirk and Captain Pike Joe are two of these kinds of Characters.
Let’s take a look at these Captains and see just what they can do once you unlock them into your game.
CAPTAIN KIRK
You will find Captain Kirk aboard the Enterprise in the Replicator once you have completely accessed the Holodeck in Phase 5.
In order to Unlock Kirk and get him into your game, you would have needed to collect the following Materials…
15000 Dilithium Crystals
150 Dark Matter
30 Synthesizer Ore
Once you are able to acquire enough Materials to “Create” him, he will be transported down to your Quahog into your Inventory Storage. So you will just have to go back there to pull him out of it and put him into play. He does come with a questline, Old World Leader. More on that in another post. (Thanks DaPimp for your “sexy” Captain Kirk Pic. Lol.) 
Captain Kirk is a part of the “Originals” Character Collection in FaceSpace. Completing the Collection will earn you 50 Clams. 
Captain Kirk also comes with a complete set of tasks! Tasks that will help you earn more Dilithium Crystals, the event currency for Star Trek.
So let’s take a look at Captain Kirks’s tasks:

CAPTAIN PIKE JOE
This Character Costume was brought to us during Phase 6 of the Event. You will find Captain Pike Joe in your Event Menu tab, in the Shopping Cart. He will also appear at Al’s.
Either way you locate him, there are some Materials you will be required to collect in order to unlock this Character Costume for Joe and put it into your game. Here are the Materials you will need to collect…
4000 Dilithium Crystals
25 Oxygen Tank
24 Catheter
65 Dark Matter
Once you have all the Material collected, you will need to “Create” the Costume in Al’s for 10 minutes. 
Once you finish creating him in Al’s, you will then be able to put the Captain Pike Costume on Joe in your Quahog. He will come with a Questline, Boxed In. More on that in another post.
Captain Pike Joe also comes with a complete set of tasks! Tasks that will help you earn more Dilithium Crystals, the event currency for Star Trek.

SIDE NOTE: (Here yah go Tim 😉 ) Why on earth does Joe look the way he does? He is basically mimicking a version of a Captain from Star Trek: The Original Series. Captain Christopher Pike. He was aboard the Enterprise just prior to Captain Kirk. Captain Pike did not always look the way Joe portrays. He started out a regular guy. You also get a glimpse of the Talosian in this episode too. (Pilot Episode: The Cage, S1 Ep1). Later on in life after he was promoted and Captain Kirk took control of the Enterprise, a then Fleet Captain Pike was conducting an inspection of a training vessel. While there, a Warp Core plate (baffle) was ruptured and this exposed many cadets to the radiation inside. Doing his duty, he tried to rescue those hurt and injured and ended up exposing himself to the radiation too. This severely scared and injured him. Causing him to end up with the marks on his face and in a wheelchair coded to his mind to blink out his thoughts for yes and no. (The Menagerie, Part I. S1 Ep15)

Even with the extension, there was no hope of me getting Kirk. The reason being after reaching level 10 dilithium seemed to slow to practically non existent. I was still generating it and collecting it but somehow couldnt get beyond 9980 from 4,500 or so i already had. Data was a pain to unlock for me, and therefore I should have concentrated on kirk and probably just bit the bullet & bought Data.
Enjoyed it tho, but Scottys voice sucks.

Hello all – I am loving the Star Trek game, and it is a shame that it will end soon – Why cant we have it stay like the Krustyland part of TSTO – but i digress – I am sure i saw something a few days ago about the end of the game, and using up the crystals etc – can you help – I have over 40,000 Crystals, the only item i don’t have is the gold Bertram, and as i can’t get enough of the green Ore stuff, i wont be able to get that – but i was hoping you direct me to the end game use up of stuff post – i can’t find it… thank you once again

Most are using it on the Rupert Mystery Box. Others just buying up decorations. Will put up more tomorrow once we see if anything more drops last minute.

Thanks Bunny. So close to getting Kirk now, need 40 dark matter but half way through the Borg task that will drop 25. Right down to the wire! Would have been nice to get Uhuru as well but so be it…

Hi Bunny. Just curious, if you get a chance…could you explain the significance of Pike Joe. Usually I “get ” it, lol, but not him. Is this a Star Trek reference/character? Based on anything? Why is it so depressing? Why the big purple birthmark? Been drivin me nuts..

FYI for anyone confused, in the time altered JJ Abrams movie version, he still ends up in a wheelchair due to injury, but isn’t this bad off. He can still shake hands & talk normally.
(futurama parodied this beeping chair as well. they had to give testimony in court by beeping it out in morse code)

I’m so excited they decided to extend the event. Because of it I was able to get Joe, Data, Crusher, and I’ll have Kirk in the next 24 hours. I think this turned out to be a fun event overall but I always felt like I was half a week behind the updates when I’m usually waiting for them. Anyway thanks for all the help Bunny!

I’m wondering if you may be able to help me with a glitch about Uhura. I finally (thanks to the extension) was able to get her today – but as soon as I try to get her out of the inventory the game says “connect error. Could not connect to server”. I have a super strong wifi connection. Also I tried clearing cache, a force close, and restarted my phone (android). No luck 😦 Any ideas? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much!

Not really anything to do with these characters, but I just wanted to update everyone on TinyCo’s response to my (whining) compliant about being shut out of the game – since they could not further extend the event to make up for the lost time, they awarded me 2000 clams! Not bad! At least they listened and tried to make things right! Yay! And btw, although I wont be able to complete phase 6 before the event ends, I did get Kirk, will have Uhuru tomorrow, and if time to get additional dark matter, I’ll event get capt joe pike! Now if only Consuelo would stop telling me that I can’t connect to the server … anyone else getting this message this evening?

Holy cow. 2K clams? You could speed up a few Bertram fights to get the dark matter if you’re running short close to the end. You probably send a lot of green their way 🙂
