TinyCo has just released TWO separate offers into our games. The offer you see will depend on what you have or have not purchased in the past.
When you go into your game Peter will have the lil ! over his head.
If you have NOT purchased anything just yet, you will get the offer to spend $4.99 USD for Clams (Box of 130 Clams) or Higher and get 15 Dark Matter in return. 
If you HAVE made a Clam purchase recently, you will instead see the offer for $19.99 USD for Clams (Crate of 600 Clams) or higher to give you 75 Dark Matter in return. (I have bought many Clams this Event, so I got the $19.99 offer.)
This is of course just there as an option for you. In the end the Choice is and always will be YOURS to decide if it is worth it to you to invest in the game.

I have all but 7of 9. I figured she arrived so late in the game, that the offer was just not prudent enough for me to buy. If she showed up earlier in the month, I definitely would have bought her. 🙂 Great offer, though! 🙂

I see when we ask players with OUR Addicts Guidelines to please keep What The Deuce moments for What The Deuce posts that we follow through with OUR Addicts Guidelines and edit or remove the comment. 😉
We have specific posts to help players, not be a soap box for venting. It is not fair to those seeking answers to have to sift through the vents just to find their answer. So you are welcome to make the comment, but not following OUR Guidelines will result in the manner of which we stated. 😉
I have just spent over $600+ this Event of MY PERSONAL MONEY OUT OF MY BANK ACCOUNT for just ONE of the many games we use to provide details to OUR Addicts Site. I WISH we were paid for doing what we do from the Gaming Houses. When that happens, I think you would find a completely different site. But thanks for assuming that we have no mind of OUR own on OUR site. Appreciated. 😉

My mistake… I just tallied up the final iTunes purchases I made to include Uhura and Seven of Nine… it was $850 I spent out of MY own pocket to get details. But thanks anyway. 😉

Lol. If you knew OUR costs to run this site on just Clams… you would cry. Lol. But it is what we do for the sake of our site and readers. We wanted to help and help takes some work and effort.
The only reason I pushed that comment is they are a long time reader, they know better. I just think this Event as grinding and time consuming as it was put many on edge. Even our long time readers/players. So… I try to remind them just WHO runs the site and what we do here. Taking it out on us is not needed. We get frustration, but we are here to help, not be walked over. 😉

I can not believe you’re doing this all on your own. Why? Surely by now tinyco is at least giving you some sort of advantage for nothing else then promotion. If you’re really fully funding this on your own then I’m even more upset with tinyco not less.

It is OUR site. They owe us nothing. Just like OUR TSTO site. It belongs to us. We are not anyone’s employees. No one can tell us what we can and can’t do. WE have the control. I would prefer that to anything else. WE wanted to help people. WE wanted to offer something to others. Why not? That’s like asking me why I donate time to Cancer Patients, why I open my home as a “safe house” to the LGBTQ teens in my community, why I volunteer at the Homeless Shelters, why I help raise funds for those in need. Why not? Helping others, paying it forward… it feels good. Makes me happy. Makes Alissa happy. We play the games ourselves anyway. Ask all these questions ourselves. So why not share that info with others? Help others?
The plus with TinyCo that EA does NOT provide is direct access to those working on the game. Direct access to the techs. So when we see an issue, we can report it immediately. Not so easy with EA. Takes me a while to get to my contacts there or get help for Players.
TinyCo also just recently offered us a lil bit a Clams each month as they appreciate how we are helping players and helping to let them know when issues arise. It is just a small amount, not much more than a Crate of Clams here n there, but again… MORE than EA has ever offered us. They don’t HAVE to. Again, we are NOT employed by either TinyCo or EA… so they essentially owe us nothing at all.

Oh, man do I wish I had the money for this! I’ve calculated that despite all my best efforts at the end of the day today when the event ends I will have just 149 Dark Matter collected! Just one short of getting Captain Kirk!!!! I’m so disappointed I don’t have a way to get that one last Dark Matter piece. 😦

If you have some Transporter Energy, maybe try it on the Borg Cube Planet to get some Free Clams and use those to buy out a Dark Matter or two from a Character task?

Good idea, but I don’t have any of the characters that pay out dark matter. Mostly a freemium player here on a tight budget. Oh well, that’s the price I pay for not having more money to spend. No worries.

I got the $19.99 (UK £11.90) offer but i decided not to take them up on it, i only need 10 more dark matter to get the last Bertram statue. so i’m not too fused over that. now if i could tarde in the 250+ transporter matter or 80+ phaser enery i would have been happier.

Is it safe to say the uhara asking for synth won’t be dropped. I have 9000 crystals and near 100 dark matter but only have 25 synth ore. Wondering wether to spend it on all the other items in the replicator or wait and see.

Luckily I don’t actually want Kirk. I had a choice between Uhura and Kirk and it really wasn’t a choice at all.

I still need 20 of the green ore for uhara! 14 hours to do it in and no phaser energy for borg cube, run out of borgs running around, and bonnie has been at ladies night for the last month solidly with little reward for it. I just cannae do it captain!

Poor Bonnie. Between all the bottles of wine and Ladies Night at the Drunken Clam just to get me stuff, her new task should be a stint in rehab. Or at least attending an AA meeting. I feel like an enabler.

I’d like to take advantage of it, but two things hold me up.
First I’m waaaaaay too short of Dilithium for Kirk now,
And second, it’s always about either my expendable income going to my gaming, or the kids needs or wants.
I tell ya One of these days them kids just gonna hafta suffer! Not yet though ☺️

Why are they pushing dark matter? I seriously doubt that anyone needs it. What I really need is synthsiziser ore, I wish there was a way to get more of them. Very rare drops on it for away teams, and I have NEVER had it drop when destroying the Borg ship -and I spent over 150 phaser energy trying to get only synth ore. (Only thing I got was 1 or 2 xp & dilithium per 3 shots)

People are still struggling with Borg Bertram. Remember, not everyone thinks to use sites like ours with all the tips and tricks to get past those battles. So there are players that have no idea how to use Bertram to their advantage

I have never made a clam purchase and I also received the $20.00 or mor like $24.99 down here so I don’t think it is about clan purchase

Seriously seeking the 5th warp core – last item needed to have ALL of the event items. All I have gotten from Rupert’s Box has been the tribbles – have gotten 16 of the brown ones. The box has dropped those little buggers for the last ten tries and I’m not getting a steady stream of successful transporter missions to Borg Cube.

dark matter is great and all but when you get 50 a day from Bertram for the last week and a half, 75 isn’t much of a prize. Make it the green cubes to get Uhura or whatever she’s called, and I might think about it. The drop rate on Borgs/rooms/away teams is obnoxious. Got 15 of them since Wed with 15 more to go before tomorrow?

I got the $19.99 offer (£14.99 in UK), I didn’t need any more Dark Matter really, but I still brought the Clams which I’ll save for the next event, whenever that will be, and I’ll use the Dark Matter to build a few more Borg Bertram Statues, I’m still gutted that they didn’t make Bertram an unlockable character, but hopefully they will in the future.

I have over 200 dark matter with all characters purchased. Just need silver and gold Bertram. Still need 7 synth ore to get gold. Haven’t bought silver since it will take my transporter energy and I’ve been cleaning up on clams on transporter tasks. I’ve hit on the 5 clams more than I’ve gotten the rare synth ore. Don’t know who the jokes on in this instance.

Currently have about 275 LSE, 50 synth ore, 50 Transporter, 100 phaser, 175 Dark matter, and 20k dilithium. I already got everything, so nothing left to use them on. Wish I could share my stuff with people who need it…

I have zero chance for Uhura and would rather have Tribbles and a possible flaming red shirt than Pike Joe so after Bertram goes down again tonight I’ll be grinding for dilithium until 3 p.m. tomorrow to get some Rupert boxes. I decided that I will buy clams tomorrow for Human Rupert and Consuela and now I’ll be getting more dark matter that I don’t need. I’ll be left with over 100 dark matter that I hope we’ll be able to use for stuff we missed (perhaps Klingon Meg, hope beyond hope)? I’m very happy with the event and am forever grateful for all of Bunny and Alissa’s hard work.

It would be nice if TinyCo could sync their offer currency amount with their purchase currency amount. I live in Australia and the offer is still $19.99, but due to the exchange rate difference, the offer applies to a completely different amount ($24.99). They obviously have the smarts to do this as they are already coding for different rates.

It will translate the same. That is why I put the Clam Count for each offer. All their stats are US Dollars, but will trigger by that appropriate box. 😉

What I meant, in case I wasn’t clear (which is often), is that they *display* the $US amount in one spot (the promotion) and the $AUS amount in another spot (the clams purchase screen), so they are already coding for foreign currencies. They should be consistent. Knowing they know I pay $24.99, it’s always a let down when you plan to take up the offer but then see you have to pay more 😦

Oh I get what you mean, I am letting you know they are two different areas so not so simple to show ALL possibilities on the pop ups.
The pop up is a part of the inner game itself. Like the Enterprise Shuttle in your town. That image goes out to all players, not customized per player. Everyone sees the exact same thing. Nothing different.
That Clam screen is controlled completely separately and coded to change depending on YOUR region of the World. For instance it may be linked through Apple Market in your region, so what you see is coded specifically for Apple in your Region through the Apple App Market. Kind of runs on the outside of the game.
I hope that makes sense.

The easiest way to solve the problem it would be to base the offer/quest in a minimal number of Clams and not USD currency…That would be universal and a lot more simple for everyone.
I’m in Euro Zone, so in may case the $19.99 USD correspondes to an 14,43€ offer (600 Clams), with an 0.88USD/€ rate is cheapest to buy clams in Euro Zone ($16.40 USD for 600 Clams)…

Have an over abundance of the yellow ore. Won’t get enough green ore to get Uhura since some of the quests required green ore to build the last two buildings in the replicator. Still need to many. I am pretty much done with this event at this point. I am happy with what I got. Thanks!!

Yoohoo Baby! Don’t need the dark matter; need Uhura, need synth ore and dilithium. Got the boss enough times that I’ve got dark matter to spare. GOt Kirk and the Giaaant tribble (yay!) Not doing much with the transporter, so last ditch for phaser energy for the 3 shot borg cube, which is supposed to drop it, but hardly. Beam me up Scotty!

I received the offer for 75 free dark matter . Sigh. I don’t need no stinking dark matter. Borg Bertram has provided me with more than needed. But honestly, I am thrilled for those who need the bonus. 😉

Would have been better if they gave us the option to choose which materials we receive as a reward – I need synthesiser energy but have got plenty of surplus Dark Matter. I appreciate others will jump at this but we all have different needs at this late stage in the game. Still, saves me some money thankfully!

If it was for Synth Ore I would be more likely to get it. Only thing I ama shooting for is Uhara and I still need 13 synth ore for her.
