Looks like TinyCo wants to offer a lil fun Mini-Event for our games starting this weekend. This will be a quick lil one. Just short of a week. Why? Peter of course! Doesn’t this lil world revolve around him?
You will have til Thursday, May 14th to finish.
Just what is this lil Mini-Event all about? Well… haven’t YOU heard? It was my understanding EVERYONE heard…
BIRD IS THE WORD!!! Ba ba ba ba ba ba Bird Bird Bird….
Once you complete the Naughty By Nature Pt 1, and additional task pops up (at least in my game it did). It triggers a 3 DAY TIMER!!! If you get all 3 Animals, you will get “Bear Man” for Free. (See bottom of post.)
Peter, gaining all his knowledge from TV of course, has decided after watching an Episode of a certain “Bear Man” that he needs a beard. Why not? Beards make you more majestic. Beards make you confident, right?
Peter will trigger the New Questline, Naughty by Nature. Along with a 2nd questline after Part 1 is triggered, Watching Birds.

Or did you get all the Birds collected, tapped “create” in Al’s, and see Bird Beard Peter in your game… but now that costume is gone?

Once again I’ve been on this game like glue. And not managed to get something. I need 7 blue, 3 pink, and 8 green birds still. And it looks as tho I’ve not done ‘enough’ to get bird beard peter. I understand the game can’t be super easy. But from now on I think I just can’t give the game my full attention anymore. Considering when I do I still don’t get the prize I was playing for. Why make an event when you still can’t win even tho you played it like clockwork? The birds were not dropping enough to collect enough. Upsetting.

I believe I’m with the majority here: The first day of the bird event I couldn’t play because the game crashed, but since then I’m on constantly and will still somehow fall short a few purple and green birds. Very unrealistic time limit to unlock Peters birdnest beard, unless you enjoy disrupting much needed sleep to reset tasks for 3 nights straight. Throw us some frickin worms here and give us another 2 days for crying out loud!

They need to extend the event. I had such a difficult time getting into the game most of the time, it kept giving me errors. How am I supposed to finish when I couldn’t even get the game to open? Not very happy about this one..

Just for info it looks like blue birds will cost 22 clams each and fuschia birds will cost 15 each , for those considering purchasing. I have no info on the other birds because I have them all already.

Finally got Bird Beard Peter and didn’t have to spend any clams but did get up in the middle of the night to rest the tasks. But totally worth it.

Any idea what time the event will end tomorrow?
I’m still 21/25 for pink and 22/30 for green and don’t think I’m going to make it. I’ve been on every 4 hours for this and TSTO and even with the increased drops the past day or two it’s going to be a stretch. I wish there was a way to eliminate items from the chance box, because I’ve somehow gotten 3 “rare” banana peels from Herbert instead of the “common” birds.

Only one more Green Bird to go! They had to have adjusted the drop rates because I only had 12 Blue Birds at 11pm last night and was only getting one every 3-4 times but after midnight I got one every single time and finished the Blue Birds this morning when I didn’t think I’d finish at all.

I was putting the final touches on it when you wrote that comment. LOL. Someone hit something round here and the entire area lost internet last night. Just got it back bout an hour ago, so been trying to play catch up on the posts now. Lol. It is a pain to try and write from my phone and I couldn’t leave the area to go find WiFi.

Grrrr. Not enough dropped overnight and I have just 4 fuscia to get. Hopefully I’ll get all 3 when the current batch ends in 6 hours time, with just 1 required to be sped up to complete about 6.5 hours after that, so shouldn’t cost too many clams.

I also was having great trouble with the blue birds as on Monday I only had 8 after restarting the tasks every 4 hours though out the entire weekend. So Tuesday I sent a message in game to tinyco and although I haven’t had a reply I have now gotten all the blue and only need 2 each of the last 2. So either they do listen and make adjustments or I have suddenly become a magnet for bird droppings. I’ve enjoyed the little event although I would have been ok without the 4 hour grind so soon after the last event

The drop rates for the green birds is sucking in my game. No way I can get 11 more in a little over 24 hours. I’ve been CONSTANTLY playing this little event too. Might be able to get the 5 remaining Blue I need. Might.

Count your blessings. At least your autocorrect kept it clean… Mine is baffling, doesn’t seem to believe that “its” is a real English word and keeps changing that to “it’s”, and seems to change text to incomprehensible strings of words after I’ve moved on to the next line (and hit post).

Try using the correct spelling “fuchsia” and see what happens… and yes, I know that’s not how they spelled it in the game 🙂
My last 2 blue birds dropped this morning, and I’m hoping my last 2 fuchsia birds drop from Bonnie/Jerome/high school in 6 hours time, 2 hours before the deadline – no clams spent on this costume so far but I don’t mind blowing 15 or 30 (of my free clams) if I have to.

I ‘guano’ complain about the bird droppings, as well. Unless we get a crapload of droppings in the next day we are S.O.L.

I’ll pile on to the “I’m not going to be able to finish this” crowd. Other than not setting alarms to wake myself up all through the night (I don’t get enough sleep as it is) I’ve been pretty regular with this and the drops just aren’t working out well. Ends tomorrow and I still have only half of the blue and half of the red and more than half of the greens. I wonder if they miscalculated or assumed perfect timing on the refreshes including people waking up every hour or two at night.

I failed mine earlier today, my alarm did go off but too much broken sleep caught up with me, I just rolled over and went back to sleep 🙂
The event launched with impossible timing for green birds, everything I see says the event hit on Saturday, leaving 5 days and 30 possible drops with players needing a perfect drop rate, which just doesn’t happen.
Either this event was supposed to launch a day or two earlier or someone at TinyCo is really bad at basic math, possibly the same person who decided on the amounts needed for Spanish Soap Peter.

same here. I made the mistake of sending all of my people on 24 hour quests when the last event ended which made me miss a whole day of drives. I’m not even close because the drop rates aren’t that good after missing a day. Looks like I’m going to miss out on this one too.

Yeah I’ve been using EVERY character very actively to their timed zones (except I don’t have Beverly to Crush it, game wouldn’t give me enough Hypodermics for her and she was 5 short of unlocking when the event finally ended 😦 ) BUT I still got all 85 yellow birds the morning of the 11th, which shows how frequently I was logging in, so I’m beyond disheartened not only to see my significant gaps for receiving enough of the other birds (only 85/13/16/24 out of 85/20/25/30), but that SO MANY OTHER PEOPLE also don’t have their birds with equally diligent tapping 😦 I’ve spent a good $40 or $50 on this game now over the last year and it does feel like kind of a big finger to give us these timed events and then not even allow us the satisfaction to complete them with nearly undivided attention. Will not be purchasing anything more but also not walking away from it. Hopeful for some equalizing sooooon to derail the game from its increasingly frustrating trajectory.

One day left (or more like a day and a half), and I still need 10 pink birds and 8 green birds. There is a serious disconnect between the drop rate, the number of characters available for the tasks, and the time each task takes.
If Bonnie, Jerome, and the High School (8 hour tasks) each actually drop birds every time (I seem to have the worst luck at uncommon drops) then it will takes 32 hours to get the last 10, and that is assuming I don’t fall asleep and miss clicking and re-sending them late tonight.
With Peter (6 hours) and Herbert/Mort/Bruce (12 hours) each trying for green birds I should be able to get all of them within 24 hours.

After a dry spell of 2-3 days, the log cabin spit out 3 blue birdies over the past 12-15 hours. But Chris has skipped a couple. (Earlier he was producing pretty consistently). Oh, those Tiny Gods manipulating the odds in their mysterious ways! 🙂
I just need 4 of each non-yellow now. Can I stand the suspense?!? Should I stock up on Pepto-Bismol? Have to remember that although as in real life, persistence helps, this is really a game of chance. So we can do everything right and still not get to the goal…

85/20/17/21 I think I might make it before Thursday but it’s getting down to the wire like finger nail biting bad and I’m going to be really upset if I don’t get the skin. I haven’t even unlocked Stevie yet because I’m trying to achieve this skin. I also feel like I should not have bought the bear, cougar, and mountain lion because I could have used those clams for the end if I didn’t make it. As of right now it would cost me 165 clams to finish this skin. The torture of having to decide weather or not spend those 5 to 6 bucks for clams

When they write it ends on May14th, what time and timezone do they mean? I suppose it is 23:59:59 US Pacific Coast time, AKA May 15th 7:59:59 GMT, isn’t it?

Looks like I’ll be getting the character skin, but probably not finishing the quest line in time. Already looking forward to the next event. Hopefully one of the locked characters will become available or something. Speaking of which, Buzz Killington is now unavailable in my game for some reason?
I looked for the answer on other threads but couldn’t find it? But it probably has already been covered. It’s been roughly since the Star Trek event started I think

They changed out the premium characters (without notice…even to us) and replaced them with some others. Apparently it’s something they plan to do every few months…although notice would be nice.

just wanted to provide some feedback — my drop rate has improved exponentially over the past day. I’m only missing 2-3 of each the blue and pink birds. still missing 7 green, though.

Started the day at 9:30 my time with 7 blue. Ending it at 23:30 with 9. Of 20.
So while I might get everything else, I don’t see the blue ones happening.
I messaged TC that I certainly wouldn’t be paying for any!

When I send Quagmire to eat cereal, it keeps giving me those stupid bottle caps for the brewery, which I no longer need/want. Making it even harder to collect the birds.

The Brewery items each have a “limit”. That means you can make more than one of many. So until you make all those “limits” it will keep dropping material for it. Just tap in the information “i” next to each one to see its limits.

No it is broken, by the time i finally finished off all brewery items i had around 120 bottle caps spare and several other items that then disappeared after i had crafted the final item.

That is what it should have done. If you have no need for them, they will go away and the Brewery will turn into nothing more than a decoration for you.

Sympathies. I had a similar problem with the Petercraft shoot on the Enterprise. I really just wanted Starfleet Lois, but the rewards were split between something Locutus needed and what Lois needed and I thought I might miss out on Starfleet Lois as a result. Very frustrating. I wished I could set Locutus to “off” until I got Lois. Although it turned out well in my case, since I didn’t realize unlocked Locutus would be playing with Borg Kitten until I accidentally unlocked Locutus at the same time I unlocked Lois. Maybe there is something joyful lurking behind that pile of bottle caps for you, too…

I don’t want to spread misinformation so feel free not post, but I know someone that got direct confirmation from TinyCo that the brewery items do not affect the drops of other items at all. Meaning regardless if the character does or does not have the chance to drop a brewery item, the chance for secondary items remains unchanged – that is, BOTH items can drop at times upon completion of a character action.

It seems to me that item drop rates labeled in the game as “chance” can be even lower than those labeled as “extra rare”. Also those rates can be subject to change and will sometimes dramatically increase. Strange

I’m guessing based on the drop rates they want you to just pony up the clams and pay for it. Not going to finish again and I spent a fortune on the last event. Didn’t finish it either.

It’s obviously a money grab. The drop rates are not great for the amount of time to mine some of the birds.
I have all premium characters/skins, set my alarm to hit on the job completions for birds and still am most likely going to miss this skin.
I’ve completely decided to stop dropping cash on the game to see how far I can go with not spending (outside of the free clams from jesus) and it just doesn’t seem possible with these drop rates… or the random number generator just really really hates me this time around.

There is no need to “wait”. We never close them, for reasons like this. They’re ALWAYS open. Feel free to use it anytime you feel you need to. As many times as you need. 😉
Just go to the most recent one. It just benefits players all around to keep them to those posts only. Helps us focus TinyCo when we message them our concerns on their game. Easier to link them the one post instead of sifting through thousands of scattered comments throughout the site.

I’ve found that most those they do not re-use are due to they’re also assigned to a previous District drop, so they try not to cross them for mini events like this. My thoughts anyway.

I’m doing quite well I’ll have 3 out of 4 birds by tomorrow evening. Except for the fuscia birds. I’m only halfway with them and they just aren’t dropping.

Current tally 85/19/13/26 i figure i have 5 iterations of 3 left. So I’ve got 15 chances to get 12 birds. And i don’t like my odds.

My numbers are 85/6/18/16. I’m sure I won’t be getting this costume at this rate, but it doesn’t drives me crazy neither. The Star Trek event depleted my grinding energies, so I’ll take a short vacation from the game.

Ive got all yellow and green birds, found the greens dropped basically every time. 2 more days to get 4 blue and 7 fuchsia so im hopeful of that.
