UPDATE: In regards to the questlines, there was a lock out issue due to the items involved in some parts required Buildings/Decos no longer in the game. They were unable to keep them going as they originally wanted. Sorry. 😦

The lil Birdies are going to be leaving our silly lil games TODAY! Yup, TODAY! So I wanted to bounce by to make sure you all had a reminder to snag some of those items you were debating on as well as finishing up anything else.
For those of you that had written in and wanted us to double and triple confirm the end time and date… The Nature Weekend Mini-Event is ENDING TODAY. May 14th, 3PM PDT (Pacific Time USA).

DECORATIONS & BUILDINGS
There were some cool lil decorations added to the game with the Event. Some that may look well in many environments around your Quahog, so if you have some spare Coins pick up a few extras for later. Don’t go too wild just yet. We do not know what the next idea TinyCo is gonna launch on us will require, so you may need to still keep some Coins handy for it.
FYI, the Buildings and some Decorations are required to complete the Questlines so make sure you have at least those added to your game just in case.
Turtle Reed Pond: $2000
The Perfect Picnic Table: $25,000

QUESTLINES
Per TinyCo, if you DO unlock Bird Beard Peter, you will be able to continue on with Naughty by Nature and Watching the Birds. So focus on getting what you need now before it ends in regards to Decorations, Buildings, etc and get him unlocked. Then you can focus on the Questline later.

PREMIUMS
If you wanted to invest some Clams into this Event, you can pick up the “Furballs” from the Extra Timed Questline. You can actually have more than one of these animals, so if you really want… pick up some extras for your “Wilderness Area” or “Zoo Area” before they go with the Event too.
Also if you are still on the fence and your timer has NOT run out for the Fiercest of Furballs Timed Offer for “Bear Man”, make sure you make the choice before the timer hits zero and the offer is gone.
All 4 of them are Decorations in case you were wondering. All are animated too.
Predatory Mountain Lion: 25 Clams

BIRD BEARD PETER
If you really want another Costume for Peter and are really close to unlocking the Costume, make sure you decide wisely how to use your Clams if it comes to it to unlock him. Check to see if there is a “cheaper” way. Outright unlock, speed up a task, buy Material from task directly, etc. Just remember, it is your choice to do so.
There you have it. Some cool looking items in a lil Mini Event. I know I stocked up on some of the ponds, campfires, geysers, and trees myself. Oh and those pic-i-nic tables. I really like the Cabin, as well. The Sanctuary too. I really want MORE lil tiny things to decorate with. Hopefully the next time they will bring MORE. 😉

Looks like I will lose out on this one. i thought my problem would be the blue birds-of which I only had 4 of on monday morning. Now I have 18 blue. Really disappointed that I will probably pick all 20 RAREs up but could only get 12 UNCOMMON fuchsia birds. Somethings wrong with that, tinyco…

17/25 on pinks here. Have not wasted any chances for drops since the event started. I have 3 chances to go so I will not be getting this without clams despite doing everything I could to do it.
I have not decided if I will be spending 120 clams on this but I have decided I will not spend another penny on this game.
Someone said drops have increased 20 blue in 4 days 5 in the last day. You don’t realize that is the same? I have not experienced any better drops in my game

I need two green birds and 4 chances left at about 4 pm eastern time to get them. This is the first time I have been against the wall to get an unlock after doing turnaround playing. Everytime a character or building was done, I immediately set them off again.

Man this event just made me a real sad man. I finished Star Trek with all freemiums achieve and just wanted to relax and stay out of the game for a while then suddenly this comes in and theres no way I can get it now.

Sadly I’m still 7 Fuscia birds away. I’ve been tapping on time to get the maximum possible, but I only ever get one or two a day. I got a blue bird EVERY time I tapped and they’re rare, why are uncommon drops so hard to get?!?

I have 70clams (all free) but.. It’s not looking good. I also didn’t have really any pink drop this morning! I would have had or short one. :^(

Well, I hope the 7 people who got bearded Peter without using clams or playing the game 24 hours/day enjoy him! For the rest of us, it’s just another reason why this game that is oh-so-perfect on many levels is turning into a series of disappointments and failed opportunities for TinyCo to make the players who support it happy. It’s a shame, really. 😦 Perhaps greed and not knowing how to use a calculator will get the best of them someday. Or not.

I have a feeling most people are going to be short some birds on this one. Those 8 hours tasks for Fuschia Birds make it pretty tough. I’m short just 1 Blue, which I’m sure I’ll get before it ends. However, I’m four Fuschia short and all three timers complete about two minutes after the scheduled end. Currently it’s 82 clams to unlock straight out…

This particular event has left me pretty bummed. I’ve been re-tasking everyone regularly — as close as possible, at least, though not always every single hour and I don’t set alarms at night — and have been since day 1, and due to drop rates not working in my favor, definitely have no chance of finishing this. Arrgh. I put a lot of time into checking the game all through the day which wouldn’t have otherwise been necessary and have nothing at all to show for it.
I’m getting more and more bitter about the probability-based system where you can put in all of the work and still not get a reward if the odds work against you.

I didn’t realize this was timed at the start and was a little laxed about collecting. I thought 85 was an insane amount of anything to collect. I’m not too heartbroken. I have more skins for Peter than anyone of course, and after the initial quest line, I really don’t use it anymore.

As much as this was a mini event, the bird drop rates sucked, and I’m no where near done bird beard Peter.
I hope Tiny Co. quits with the hard grinds, I play for fun, not to set alarms and to wake up in the middle of the night. These tough ones suck the fun right out of the game.

I got the skin last night without a clam when I collected the last two blue birds. It was a grind and the drop rates (especially for blue) seemed to increase the last day (20 in four days; the last five in one). I tried to limit myself to only going into my game to collect either blue (every 4 hrs), purple (every 8 hrs) or green (every 12 hrs) so I could keep them on the same schedule and collect everything all at once. All quests and non-dropping characters were ignored. Even finished the yellow using the same formula since they were an “always” drop. Adding the overeat task for Peter was the only way I got the greens since the timing was so tight. At least TinyCo fixed that early in the process since they knew they erred. I tried to take the pressure off myself of being a slave to my game after the constant play needed for the last two months with the Star Trek event because I was feeling burned out. But I still had to stay on schedule in order to get the skin. I hope we can get a district next so we can go at our own pace instead of having to grind another event or mini-event. The game is losing its enjoyment. I want it to be a “time-waster” not monopolize my life.

Had to spend 45 clams on the remaining 3 fuchsia birds, but it was worth it cause it’s my favorite Peter ‘phase’ shall I say, but the strategy on TinyCo’s part is so lame, after the Trek event everyone thought they would take a break, THEN they dropped the most sought after costume they ever came up with, so people who were exhausted and were trying to take the game easy would miss out on the first day of grinding for the costume, so they would have to use clams to finish it. Glad all my clams came from Ollie and events, cause I’d never pay a company where profit comes before the product. I’m barely enjoying it but stopping would waste the effort I’ve put into it in the past months. Maybe one day, either the game will be for the players, which I doubt, or I will man up and not care. Season 3 rules by the way.

This event was definitely not as player-friendly. I’m two fuchsia birds away from unlocking him, but both Bonnie and Jerome’s tasks end and the school pay out are all two hours before the event ends. What are the chances I get 2/3? I checked with two friends who are freemium and play frequently and they won’t unlock the outfit either.

Three fuscia birds to go for me. All here chances complete at 1:20cst. So if I don’t get all three I’m sunk. Definitely the closest to a deadline I’ve gotten. Hope they extend it a day or lower the requirements. I don’t like missing out on content, but I guess it is what it is

Really odd. Sounds like he is not rendering properly. Any particular task that it always happens on? Name? May want to try a fresh restart on the device to see if that helps.

I’ve run into that on my older device. It happened in Star Trek whenever I got a new character or got a new animated activity. I think it has to do with the assets being cached by the device’s memory. Sometimes just resetting my game would do the trick..I also found that if I loaded my game on my wife’s newer Android device then the next time I loaded up on my device the character would reappear.

These pink birds are killing me! I have every other bird but only have 19/25 pink birds. Is anyone else having trouble getting them? To make it worse this morning Bonnie, Jerome or James Wood HS didn’t drop a single pink bird!! A complete waste of 8 hours that I didn’t have time to lose. Im on the struggle bus.

On all three of my games I’m still missing like 3 green birds and many blue birds. This is also checking into the games every time the quest is scheduled to be complete. Since there is a 12 hour task and less than 12 hours to go, I gave up completely on all three games at 8am.
I’ve never played an event before where all 3 games failed. This one seemed like a clam-grab but the reward is just one Peter outfit so it’s not like I’m missing much. Just frustrating. I actually scheduled sleep around bird drops.

I have everything but 4 fuchsia birds. I just got back from five busy days with unreliable internet so I’m happy to even be this close to finishing. All three tasks will finish within the hour, leaving me the chance for one more round to finish without clams if 2/3 drop each time. I don’t know how badly I want it, though I’m still irked that I missed Spanish Soap Peter by three items because completion.

First drop of the day was only one fuchsia bird and by the time they were ready to be tapped again I had resigned myself to not getting it, with or without clams. With five minutes to go I tapped and, miracle of miracles, all three dropped fuchsia birds. I created the skin and then realized one of the questlines had disappeared. Oh, well. I guess I’ll enjoy whatever downtime we get before the next go-round.

Got all the items for the outfit easily, EXCEPT for the purple birds. For an uncommon drop they were anything but – I had three different instances when I didn’t even get ONE of them from any of the two characters or buildings when they finished. For an eight hour task that is ridiculous, and essentially lost me a day of attempts alone.
I’ve had between 1-2 each other time (never three at once) so I am still 9 short of getting over the line with only enough time for the task to finish once more. Not going to pay clams for an outfit but I think if they are going to make these events so tight in terms of time allowances and items required (at five days you only got a maximum of 45 attempts to get those 25 birds) then they need to sort out the drop rates or put items on tasks with reasonable time limits.
Otherwise I’ll just have to skip these tasks, as it now feels like I’ve spent the last few days grinding to get everything only to be disappointed.

Purple have been my bane as well. Finished yellow in no time. Finished green yesterday. I won’t quite finish blue, as I’m expecting to come up a bird or two short, but almost got it. Purple, though, I still need like 7 of them and my current run at it will finish only 2 hours before the event is over. Even if both drop something, which is extremely unlikely given the “uncommon” drop rate has been as bad as “very rare” usually is, I’ll be 5 short. Yeah, I’m feeling exactly the same way. I’ve been checking in on this game constantly (while at work!!) and have nothing at all to show for it.

No chance of finishing this, sadly, despite constant playing. Need a couple more pink birds that I might just get, but I still need 5 more green birds. The large number of items needed from poor drops from 12 hour tasks just killed this mini-event for me.
I usually pay clams for premium characters, and spent a lot on the Star Trek event, but I will not be paying clams to unlock it this time because I feel that this was either very poorly planned by TC, or a cynical ploy to leave things JUST out of reach to get people spending.

I have been working hard on getting the items since the quest started. I still have 2 of one bird and 8 of another to get in order to unlock bird bears Peter.
Tiny co sets time limited events at TOO HIGH of a task list. This isn’t right. I sent them an in game msg this morning and told them they need to reconsider the items list for time limited characters. I am not a freemium player but I am also not a PREMIUM 100’s of dollars player. I buy clams every so often and pay my dues to tiny co. I should not be penalized due to an insanely high task list of insanely hard to get item list.
I won’t be able to unlock bird beard Peter now in time without using clams. I need 8 more for the bird that has Bonnie in the list. There is no way in the next 9 1/2 hours I can even mathematically do it. I guess this is tiny co’s way of forcing clams out of people.
I played from the moment the event started. I should of unlocked bird bears Peter by now. But due to the already mentioned itmes list it was not possible for me.

I messaged them about it two days ago and got a reply saying everything works as planned. I definitely wouldn’t reward that kind of plan with clams.

I woke up this morning and checked my game, got all 5 birds I needed to unlock the skin! I’m really surprised I was able to unlock him, tinyco must have increased the drop rate for the blue birds I was able to get 7 in a 24 hour period, had been getting 3 a few days ago. Saw there was an update in the android store, game wouldn’t load the first few times after I downloaded the update but is good now. Looks like some kind of gangster event coming in June maybe.
