UPDATE: In regards to the questlines, there was a lock out issue due to the items involved in some parts required Buildings/Decos no longer in the game. They were unable to keep them going as they originally wanted. Sorry. 😦

The lil Birdies are going to be leaving our silly lil games TODAY! Yup, TODAY! So I wanted to bounce by to make sure you all had a reminder to snag some of those items you were debating on as well as finishing up anything else.

DECORATIONS & BUILDINGS
There were some cool lil decorations added to the game with the Event. Some that may look well in many environments around your Quahog, so if you have some spare Coins pick up a few extras for later. Don’t go too wild just yet. We do not know what the next idea TinyCo is gonna launch on us will require, so you may need to still keep some Coins handy for it.
FYI, the Buildings and some Decorations are required to complete the Questlines so make sure you have at least those added to your game just in case.
Turtle Reed Pond: $2000

QUESTLINES
Per TinyCo, if you DO unlock Bird Beard Peter, you will be able to continue on with Naughty by Nature and Watching the Birds. So focus on getting what you need now before it ends in regards to Decorations, Buildings, etc and get him unlocked. Then you can focus on the Questline later.

PREMIUMS
If you wanted to invest some Clams into this Event, you can pick up the “Furballs” from the Extra Timed Questline. You can actually have more than one of these animals, so if you really want… pick up some extras for your “Wilderness Area” or “Zoo Area” before they go with the Event too.
Also if you are still on the fence and your timer has NOT run out for the Fiercest of Furballs Timed Offer for “Bear Man”, make sure you make the choice before the timer hits zero and the offer is gone.
All 4 of them are Decorations in case you were wondering. All are animated too.

BIRD BEARD PETER
If you really want another Costume for Peter and are really close to unlocking the Costume, make sure you decide wisely how to use your Clams if it comes to it to unlock him. Check to see if there is a “cheaper” way. Outright unlock, speed up a task, buy Material from task directly, etc. Just remember, it is your choice to do so.
There you have it. Some cool looking items in a lil Mini Event. I know I stocked up on some of the ponds, campfires, geysers, and trees myself. Oh and those pic-i-nic tables. I really like the Cabin, as well. The Sanctuary too. I really want MORE lil tiny things to decorate with. Hopefully the next time they will bring MORE. 😉

I got all but the purple birds and paid 90 clams to finish and unlock. There was no way to get the last several so I took the clam hit to maintain my 100% skin / character collection.

It lasted slightly longer than the time said on my device. Enough for me to go from 5 birds short to 2 (12 hour tasks). So no costume for me…
No TV on iOS or Android.

I’ve had the tv twice, once last night and once tonight. I’ve gotten a total of 4 clams from it. Both times I’ve been able to watch an ad then it asks if I want to watch another. After watching two, it disappears.

I was down to one blue bird left to get with an hour remaining and the two characters just commencing their 4hr task. It was going to cost me 22 clams to buy the last bird, but instead, I waited 30 mins and then rushed Chris’s task for 7 clams…nothing. I then rushed Lois’s task for 7 clams and got it – costume achieved…costing me 14 clams. I was happy with that!

Paid 6 clams to speed up and got the final 2 green common ones. Nuked town after last event and only have a few basics (at 4.5 million coins…why not) .Only characters not currently in storage So my phone would only send a family guy message when a bearded Peter task was ready…think it came down to luck honestly. Out of my close friends one got him yesterday afternoon another friend and I paid a little at the last hour and 6 friends were not close But they are more serious during big events…now to figure out what wow factor area of town to build and with what of the long list of items I have collected

So I didn’t want to play 76 clams to create the character. I was still missing three blue birds and a couple others, but all three tasks for them weren’t going to be done until 3:07pm PDT. So here’s what I did. I logged in at 2:59pm and kept the game constantly on on my iPhone. It was past 3:00pm, but I was still able to collect one blue bird (what horrible drop rate), which dropped the clam cost down to 50ish clams, so I caved in then. I don’t know if the event was ended promptly at 3:00pm or not, but I was able to buy some time to collect more material by keeping the game running.

I read the above updates, and just wanted to let you know that I too had created BB Peter, but they did not leave the questlines running, I was finishing up part 4 on Watching the Birds with one game, and my secondary game was on part 6 of naughty by nature.

I was determined to wait until I couldn’t wait any longer to finish up this skin by using clams. I was down to only needing two birds when I finly spent a few clams to unlock it. From what I have been readingand hearing from other players I think I was pretty lucky to only need two more birds. One friend that plays the game non stop 24/7 was still missing 10 birds!

Of all the crazy whacked out things to happen! Not really trying, gave up early on because I thought it was futile, so I wasn’t keeping track. I checked just before event end and there it was 5 mins to create, create now? HOLY CATFISH, I got my Beardy Peter!!!

This was by far the WORST event EVER!. I am a daily (multiple log ins per day) player since day one. I am maxed out in level and have 2.4 million in coins and every available house/decoration that is available to buy. Anyone who finished this quest without clams has to be lucky or lying. I have been trying hard to get him without clams, I came close, I had 6 birds to go when it cut out. Now there are no quests to do and no new lands to unlock. I guess I wont be a daily player anymore if they make each new event nearly impossible without spending clams.
I liked it last year when with some dedication and planning you could easily get the available quests done. Now you need clams. Everything is clams. I wont be surprised if they make the next land offering available in clams. Its getting very tiring.

There is more coming (see spoiler post). I think what you are looking more for is a District. Those are NOT Events and you can take your time to unlock them. The Fine Arts was the last one. Events… those will always be timed as they are only temporary in the game. Districts are here to stay for duration of game.
I know we all are hoping a District so we can get more land. Just see what the weekend brings us. 😉

I doubt that anybody is lying. I got Peter with his bird beard without paying any clams. Of course I was lucky! The whole game is a game of chance, they even put the word “chance” right on the progress bars for tasks that might produce an item. In such a short event with mostly long tasks to produce items, the chance element is just more obvious since missing even one drop can mean you miss the deadline. In a longer event, you have more time to try again and then persistence might get you through. So you might incorrectly think luck isn’t involved- but it always is.

Only ended up using 30 clams, which is ok by me (my goal was under 100). I knew I was going to have to use clams because Bonnie/Jerome/the high school didn’t like to drop the pink birds.
Also I think I might have missed the first little bit of this little event as I was taking a bit of a break after that clusterfudge that was the Star Trek event…
Hope everything is going well (Bunny’s mom, Alyssa with her +1), just curious if we’ll have a poll for the ST event soon. 🙂 I finally have something to say in the text box at the bottom. 😛

We have LOTS of polls. Its just taking a lil longer than anticipated because it is 45+ days of info to pull from. So we are trying to break it down to more manageable for you to participate and us to read it. Once we nail down it all… we will start pushing them out all over the site. That is the thing. We won’t have a full on open discussion for what we are working on. Just a poll. It is more for the individual player to utilize their in game messaging to voice their personal thoughts and opinions in a discussions. With the thousands upon thousands of players, if we opened a poll to discussion only or lots of “write ins”… that would be disastrous and pointless of even doing a poll. That’s more along the lines of a post instead with open commenting… like WTD/ Open Thread/ Dear TinyCo Type style.

I ended up needing 1 fuschia bird. The last set of tasks would have taken until about 15 mins after event ended. Didn’t want to take the chance to see if they ended a few minutes late. I ended up spending 15 clams. Oh well. Still have a bunch left. I thought I was Ina. Good place to get he skin without using clams but I think I had my math and/or days wrong. Hoping to have a break until June now.

I used ZERO clams when I finally got Bird Beard Peter early this morning! All the birds I needed were dropping every time so they must have did a little adjustment lol. The “Naughty By Nature” questline did dissappear(was on Part 7), but I still have “Watching The Birds” still up on Part2.

This was the most disappointing “event” I’ve experienced.
I’ve played constantly for over a year and never missed an earned character or skin.
After the Star Trek event sucked the fun out of the game for me and now missing this skin by a couple of birds, I may move away and forward to new things.

Wow. Just like Soap Opera Peter, this event wasn’t nearly long enough to complete. I play regularly. Literally. I do checks 8-10 times a day. The drop rates are horrible. And then you couple that with 12hr tasks to get said horrible drops. That combo makes these type of events ureasonably unattainable. In the end, all you get is a lot of fans left with a sour taste left there mouths… 🙂

So my questlines are gone. I was part way through Pt 3 of Watching The Birds and part way through Pt 7 of Naughty By Nature. That’s uncool. I worked really hard to get the costume and we were supposed to be able to finish the questlines. I really disliked the event already. This definitely seals it.
Between the Star Trek event and this one I feel like I’m having to treat the game almost like a job and it’s not supposed to be like that. It’s a game. I like it as a mini-escape throughout the day, but I feel like I’m always watching the clock to make sure I’m collecting and restarting efficiently. That’s just not how it should be. And I feel like Tiny Co even admits it when they add characters to obtain items once the original set up has proven to be impossible. Don’t get me wrong, I’m glad that Tiny Co is willing to make adjustments, but it seems like they almost always have to do it and that would indicate they are setting the bar too high right out of the gate every time.

Apparently I was one of the lucky ones who gets to test out the videos for clams. I got to watch two and got a clam each time after the 30 second ad finished. If that happened every day, I’d get 60 clams in a month for free. Not too shabby!

After dropping a wad of money on the Star Trek event (and thanks for putting in Uhuru at the last minute – didn’t get her in time, either), I made a promise that TinyCo is not getting another dime of my money. Love the game, but sorry. I have 5 dogs to feed and they come first. Can you please give us a break for a while? Thanks for letting me rant. Although I’m sure Bunny will tell me I’m putting this in the wrong place. I always am, it seems. =>}

We are still trying to be lenient on it. It really depends on how far the “rant/vent” goes. It really is more it helps YOU out and other players. We can point them to ONE post and say “see what your players are saying”… instead of linking them to our site and saying “find the comments that apply among thousands.” Lol 😛
Not to mention for others coming to a specific post for help or answers, it kinda sucks to have to sift through thousands of complaints to find one bit of detail. Make sense?

You can do all the polls you want but I don’t think they care. If several thousands of Facebook/Twitter/In game posts don’t tell them what they need to hear then what would this site tell them?
You would think they got the message during the Star Trek event and they went even more extreme in the final week. You would think they would have gotten the message during the final week of that but they didn’t care. You would have thought they would have gotten the message on all their social media platforms but they didn’t care. They could have made adjustments in a second if they wanted to but they didn’t. They could properly test their events to see if it was manageable but they don’t. They roll out things and hope for the best.

See my prior response to you. The REALLY long one. There is a good way to do things. A proper way when dealing with a Business. Any Business. And it DID make changes during Star Trek, several changes, so our readers and our message was heard and took into account multiple times. That is just one Event. There are a thousand other times that we have enacted change in the game by doing what we do and will continue to do.
Again, I get you are angry… I get you are frustrated at the game… but there is no need to turn every comment and post on the Addicts Site into a vent about your frustrations with them. I get you feel they don’t listen, but if you feel that way… take it up with them. Tell them personally. But please do not put down or diminish what we do here. We put a lot of hard work into what we do. MANY are being helped. To say it’s pointless in a way… that’s … well… that’s mean to us in a way. It is our site after all. It’s like saying what we do here is worthless. Know what I mean?
I do know your intentions are not toward us… but they are leaning that way. Hope that makes sense.

I had to spend 37 clams to get him. The 8 hour drops on the birds just weren’t working and I play quite frequently. This really did seem like an artificial shortage of time to get us to rush for clams.
I’m sure there were some people that got everything in regulation, but it seems for most people they either paid or let the costume go. Thankfully I racked up a lot of free clams from the star trek event, so it wasn’t a major loss.
However, as a person who has played regularly since the game since it was in beta, this was the first time I personally felt that TinyCo presented an unreachable challenge (without paying). In the past when things seemed unbalanced they usually added a day or adjusted drop rates. I hope that this is not the direction the game is going.

I played every day and got all the rare bird before I even had 20 on common not happy with tiny co because I play everyday and nothing to show for it shame in them for not making it even across the board for players plus the time I play every day/ hr not happy

i was short like many. 9 blue birds, 2 pink and 5 green. i play a lot so i set tasks frequently and they just weren’t paying out enough. but it’s just a costume. other than the desire to have it all i see it as being a minor loss.

I just got the outfit with 7 minutes to spare, but had to speed up Bonnie to get the last bird so only cost me 5 clams.
Then it took only 5 minutes to create the costume, not 10 like usual.

Two complaints –
Shame on TinyCo to do this right in the middle of final season. Can’t exactly check the game when you’re in the middle of a final, and I missed this costume by two birds. Had they given one more day (or 7 more hours) I could have done it.
Also, annoying that they don’t announce events – minutes before the event started I made just about everyone do 24 hour tasks. The event was already less than a week long so that lost me a huge chunk of time I could have been using.

After playing this morning only need 3 of the pink ones to finish up bird beard Peter. All task were to finish right after 2 pm and right before the event end, I was thinking cool hopefully at least get 2 and finish up with clams to get it. NOPE. only get 1 and still cost 30 clams for 2 and I’m 4 short and so I will miss out…so bummed. Didn’t help while playing over the weekend I didn’t have any pink birds drop for over a day. BOOOOOOOOOOOOK TINY CO. NOT COOL AT ALL.
