Week 2 and the Final Week of the Firefighters Event is now live in our silly lil games. So what did it bring?
Reminder… THIS EVENT ENDS MAY 27th 3PM PDT!!!
Firefighter Seamus is now in our games for you to work towards earning.

Two questlines will trigger right away. One to unlock Seamus that Sexy Firefighter Chris starts, Pirate of the Flame. Another one that Peter starts, Fanning the Flames.
CHARACTER
Firefighter Seamus
Requires
8 Sexy Photos (ALWAYS): Sexy Firefighter Chris Dance Suggestively OR Fire Dog Brian Brag to Women
2 Fire Detectors (ALWAYS): Large Building Fires ~Yellow Alarm Bells
2 Firefighter Axes (ALWAYS): Angry Fire Creatures
2 Jaws of Life (ALWAYS): Crazed Fire Creatures OR Fiery Tempers Counseling Center
He will take 10 minutes to Create in Al’s. Once complete, he will have 8 tasks, 2 that are visual (mainly him catching fire, makes me giggle).
DECORATION
Legit Emergency SUV: $10,000, Moving Decoration, you can buy more than one. (If you try for more than 3, it won’t accept anymore. So looks like 3 is the limit.)
LARGE BUILDING FIRES
As you can see, there are now Yellow Alarm Bells ringing on some buildings along with the Red one. The Yellow ones are the Large Building Fires you will need to clear, drop Smoke Detectors, and unlock Seamus.
The Large Building Fire will Require THREE Firefighters prepped and ready to go to battle them. So start Training them as soon as you can.
Each of the THREE will sit and take their turn battling the flames til their hose runs out of water (the other two will wait with axes in hand). When complete, the Firefighter will go down the Fire Pole Portal. After all 3 are done, the Detector will pop out.
There you have it. A few more elements and Materials added to the last week of the Firefighters Event. Again, you have til May 27th to unlock all this before it goes.

You need 3 Firepoles open. Then train just a Firefighter on each one.

Finally I’m close to unlocking Chris bur what really bugs me is that the game still shows me Pawtucket items to collect. I’m really sick of bottles and caps show up with my characters. According to my notebook there’s no questline unfinished. What can I do?

Make the items in the Brewery to their “limit”. Tap on the “i” next to each one to see how many more you need to make of each. Once they’re all made, materials will stop dropping.

This is not what I’ve seen in my game. I’m not buying the absolute last item from Pawtucket to keep that building. Even though I’ve collected enough of everything I need for it. I still have the option to collect more blue tickets (whatever those were supposed to be, I forget. Sorry.) and I’ve got almost 100 extra bottle caps in the inventory—definitely over the limit.

As I said, until they’re made/created to the limits for each item (tap on the “i” next to each item image to see) … the Materials will keep collecting until each item is made. So your counts of Material will keep rising and dropping until they’re all made.

Sandra I remember the Pawtucket Brewery and I agree with you it just seems never ending but it does end I promise lol. Unfortunately it won’t go away until you have crafted the max number of decorations available for the brewery. The funny thing is that the brewery will then become a big decoration because as big as it is, it doesn’t generate any $ or XP. I just took my time and worked on the completion when there was nothing else to do with those characters so take your time. 🙂

I have zero brush fires to put out and so I am out of fire extinguishers…hard to continue training!!

Ugh I have two characters stuck in the police station, which now has a large fire. So I have to wait for the fire captains I have in training to rotate out, then I have to train three firefighters to clear that building (even though I don’t need/won’t get any smoke detectors)! Am I understanding that right? Super annoying.

Yes. 3 needed for yellow. Try to keep the checkmarks off the buildings you don’t want lit on fire along with the coins, that’s what they usually attach to.

So weird – my firemen in training trio has another 20 min, but now the large fire has moved! I’m not complaining, glad Meg is free! But the logic of the fire is weird. Thanks for the help!

That will happen. Just like latchers in the past, they will only remain for a limited amount of hours then they will “jump” to another building. 😉
It helps you out as a player in case someone is in there and you dont have the time or Materials needed to clear it off. There is still a chance it will jump. You just got to wait for it to jump. 😉

I havent seen the answer to this, but before if you have 6 jaws of life or hat it would start turning to coin collection. Now with seamus will it unlimited for the mystery boxes or stop at 8?

I”m not able to see how many materials I have earned (jaws of life) When i click on the mysteryboxes it just tells me it takes 6 to purchase but i cant see how many I actually have. I haven’t been collecting chief hats and both show similar screens even if you click on the prizes. Is there a trick to seeing what you have?

Haven’t opened a mystery box yet and have no jaws of life, but that’s all I need for Seamus. So that’s 36 needed for all the items in the box and two needed for Seamus. 38. Hmm, hopefully that’s possible, but I it would takes some time. Seamus was too easy though, but I won’t complain.

Yesterday I accidentally spent 100 clams on opening a third fire pole, something I cursed over for a couple of minutes after. But maybe it wasn’t so bad since now I can train three fire figthers at a time, and send them out to clear big building fires straight away! :p

I think Tiny Co. felt bad about the Firedog Brian debacle…(as long as you already have the skin for Chris) they are practically handing us Seamus. LOL I will have him in under 24 hours, no sweat. 😛

The firefighter event has completely disappeared from my quohog. No burning buildings, brushfires, or tasks associated with the event. I have already contacted Tinyco. Anyone else having this problem? Happened about 6am this morning. When I don’t see any comments on this website about others having the same problem it makes me worry.

It’s a shame as I wanted to try and get lots of mystery box items, but I didn’t realise how quickly the time had gone by, so now I may only get one or two. Oh well, I’m not as keen on the event in general and the items, so I don’t mind too much. At least the Seamus skin seems easy to get, unlocking the first three poles has been very helpful.

I’m nearly done, I just need 5 more Sexy Photos and I’ve got Firefighter Seamus, so I’ll have him in 6 hours. I’ve also got all the items from the Mystery Boxes, but I’m still able to collect Fire Chief Hats for some reason.

So…what to do with my 2000 fire extinguishers? I had assumed they’d be useful, since they’re so plentiful. Maybe a second mystery box? Or, more likely, they’ll just fade away with my extra Spirit Vials and Handmade Valentines :-).

I love moving decos and was disappointed the firetrucks were not so when I saw this new SUV I got myself three! Yay
It appears it will be much easier to get Seamus so yay for that. The large building fires are ok, I didn’t train enough men so i will battle my first tomorrow.

The SUV’s that move and are a freemium purchase are sweet. I really do wish they would give more moving things to buy. I have a swarm of tribbles and I like the moving decorations way more then the stationary ones. 🙂 also, I love the “always” drop rate. This event is SWEET!

Seamus may look easy but he’s still going to be a challenge. I only have two poles right now so now I’m going to open the 3 after I get all 10 axes. Then train up my men so I can get the smoke detectors. Also have to get my men to put out small fired to get batteries so I can get the captain to fight the purple flaming thing so I can get the jays of like all the while Chris is strutting around town so I can get the pictures. I am loving this quest if you can’t tell…even if I don’t end up getting Seamus, I enjoyed this two week quest line. 😊

I’m just now getting Firefighter Chris. Getting a little slack with this event. Haha! Currently, there aren’t any of the purple, Crazed Fire Creatures in my town, do they appear after a certain quest line is completed or along Fanning the Flames? (Peter hasn’t started it yet in mine.)

How far along are you with the the current event? Are there any app updates available? I started noticing the purple guys about the time Fire Dog Brian became available, shortly after I unlocked Sexy FF Chris. Either of those could have triggered them, or it could have been something different. As I write this, the only quests available (other than that stupid everpresent Coins for Clams quest) are Dog Day Afternoon (stuck on Part 1, since I’m not buying FD Brian), Fanning the Flames, and Pirate of the Flames. The latter two just showed up today, so maybe one of the various (now finished) secondary quests triggered them at some point. Also try clearing a few of your buildings to see if they’re not just hiding from you.

My game says 2 Jaws of Life for Seamus. Also, limit of 3 Legit Emergency SUVs for me at least. Seamus should be easy to unlock…was kind of expecting we would need 2000 or some high number of fire extinguishers. Unless they add something to do with them it seems odd to have collected so many since they can’t possibly all be used to train firefighters.

I dunno that those fire extinguishers will be useless, my town is a raging inferno ever since unlockable Seamus arrived. No way to keep up with it since they added the yellow alarms requiring 3 firefighters and also seriously escalated the number of buildings on fire. I’m going to try to just ignore it all and try to pick up jaws of life from purple fire monsters, training two captains and one regular on my three poles.

Yeah, I was surprised that there was nothing that you could use fire extinguishers for, since they still had the brushfires going. Then again, they may or may not offer some sort of mystery boxes for fire extinguishers, sort of like they did for crystals, and valentines, etc… Then again, we might have just been smooshing brush fires for giggles and no other reason after the first few days. *chuckle*

Actually, if my math is right, it requires 72 fire extinguishers, since 18 Firefighters are needed: 6 (3 at a time twice) to get the Smoke Detectors and 12 more to get the Gas Cans needed to train the 6 Fire Captains needed to get the Axes (1 Captain twice) and Jaws of Life (2 Captains twice).
As for what to do with extra Firefighters, don’t forget that you can use Jaws of Life to open a Rupert event box.

WooHoo!!!! Can’t wait to see Firemen Seamus’ actions. C, mon.. a firefighter with wooden flammable appendages lol I have to give credit to TinyCo for making this earnable skin very easily attainable. It’s a shame that it requires 5 jaws of life for you though 😦 and only 2 for me lol jk. One thing I thought I would mention since I had to get as many legit emergency SUV’S… There seems to be a limit of 3. I think I’ll be ok though 😉

Yay! Had held off spending my jaws of life with the expectation that they’d be needed for Seamus as well as the mystery box. Means I just need to focus on the smoke alarms and the photos ^_^

I just noticed in the description of items needed for Seamus it’s listed as needing five Jaws of life. My game shows only needing two. I’m playing on a Kindle.

INB4 someone breaks their game trying to have 100+ SUVs placed at once… Because it’s not like none of us have the money for that…
100 SUVs = $1M in coins. I for one am sitting on $2.5M, and am quite sure that a sizable number of our forum-goers dwarf that.

I got one emergency SUV and it’s having a hard time moving around my very short length of road…. 🙂 It actually stops for pedestrians crossing the street! That’s better than real cars in my town (we have to practice defensive walking here).
