In this lil game of ours, it is easy to get lost and so focused into collecting items or unlocking characters that we tend to forget the lil things that make the game what it is. Like Where the HELL did these items come from and why are they in our games?
Well I am here to do just that for you. Let’s take a look at the Family Guy Series and find out just Where The HELL Did That Come From?
In this post, I will be covering the Origin of the S&M Cow. This creature was brought to us courtesy of Nature Week Take 2. What is with this insane cow? Did it really show up in the TV Series? Was it only once? Let’s take a look at the TV Episodes to find out.
Season 4, Episode 13: Jungle Love
Peter is really happy at Breakfast. He is singing a little ditty about just how happy he is to start his new job at Pawtucket Brewery. Brian of course asks him about it. Peter says he is now one of those guys that can’t wait to go to work every day, like a Dairy Cow.
Cut to the very happy Dairy Cow being milked. “Ohhhh YESSSSSSSSSSSS!!!”
Season 5, Episode 15: Boys Do Cry
The Family is at Church and Stewie is STARVING. He sees they are serving “cookies” and pushes his way to the front to snatch them all. Of course he needs something to drink, luckily for him it seems they also have a glass of “drink” he can chug down. He pukes, so the fellow church goers freak out he threw up and is possessed. Lois tries to explain and takes the drunken Stewie and the Family home.
Later an angry mob shows up at their door to have an exorcism for the possessed baby Stewie. So now the Griffin’s have to leave town to avoid the crazy mob. Off to Texas and her Sister Carol’s place until it blows over.
While in Texas, Peter is invited to a farm and is excited he gets to brand his first Cow. Here again we see the Cow now really happy to get branded. So much so he stops Peter in the middle of the branding to put on a Ball Gag, then has Peter continue. “OOOOOOOOoooooooooh!!!”
There you have it, a few episodes from the TV Series that had this insane S&M Cow and now we have a New Character and some other cool items that make a 2nd Nature Event. The cow sounds male and you refer to the cow as he, but it has udders which as we all know male cows do not have!
Also, whoever at TinyCo used utter and leafs in the game needs to be passed a dictionary!

Still can’t stand her…. I keep sending her to buy ball gags at the store or to choose a safe word at Quagmire’s so I don’t have to look at her! But she brings in the money. Wish I could tell her to go to the barn and shut up. Or at least get Quagmire to officially adopt her. (Match made in heaven. Or hell.)

Since the last ball gag dropped I have opened well over 30 boxes by now, and not once did I get 4 Leafs, only ever two. Did they change the odds or am I just really, really ,REALLY, unlucky?

I’m getting the same. Usually I collect 3 and open. A couple times just one, close, then another… I don’t think I’ve ever gotten 4, but I know I haven’t since I got the cow.

The 4 packs are more on a rare side, it seemed like I got more the more I opened. Just my observation though.

I’ve been collecting 3 pine cones about 6 times a day (18 per day) and only got the 4 pack of maple leaves three times. So they’re quite rare. If it’s random, the number of draws is so small that it would be not unusual to get even fewer or zero 4-packs for the same number of draws I’ve had. You’ve had much fewer draws, so zero 4-packs is well within the normal range.
Meanwhile, despite their chintziness with the 4-packs, I seem to be accumulating quite a collection of backyard bird feeders with my leaves. Hope they sell bird seed in the store.

Is the cow going to have more tasks?

What do you mean? It has several.

The tasks are level based, you level up the character for new tasks, it doesn’t have them all unlocked right away

I think they mean quest tasks. This is a small event so there is only a short questline for the cow.

Love the S&M cow, though I do wish she dropped maple leaves. I’m working on acquiring a mountain range over here and I could use a little help. 🙂

Is there an algorithm programmed into the game that varies drop rates based on whether or not you have purchased clams before? I have three games on my tablet (multiple user profiles so i can play) and on my main account where i have purchased clams a few times my drop rates (most notably the ballgags which are rare) are far lower than on the two games where i have never purchased clams (they both are 1 ballgag away). Also I have never seen free clam videos on the account i bought clams on. Ever. (I bought clams before carl came around) but on my two no-purchase games I get the tv’s every day. 2 to 3 videos a day.
We know they can tell who has purchased based off the the star trek special offer, first time clam buyers offered one deal, the rest offered another. But is it affecting my droprates now too? (As well as the nature week clam videos)

Nope. They are varied regardless how you play or what you buy. I have two Clam games that had different results and two freemium games that both had different results. It is all really just in luck of the draw.
As far as the “videos” that is just in testing phase. Nothing more. So only a handful of games will get the TV right now until they are done testing. Once completed, they will determine if it is stable enough for ALL players to get them. So make sure you report any errors you get when tapping on the TV to them from your game.

I love that they added a freemium animal character, I hope that they can do more in the future, provided there are enough to make it work. I managed to unlock her the other day, I thought it would take a lot longer given that the ball gags dropped one at a time, but it was nice and quick. Only need another 10 leaves to get the last item and then I can save up and maybe even get two of every item! I’ll need to check the end date for that though, I’ll save them up and buy what I want depending on how much time is left.
