UPDATE 6/10 545PM EST: Got confirmation from TinyCo that they WILL be moving the task to drop Pawtucket Brewery Tickets from Mort to another separate Character. So going forward, Mort will ONLY have the Dog Food task. Hope this helps some Players concerned with the visual drops on the Brewery Items. 🙂
Instead of Mort, the Brewery task now requires Brian’s “Drink a Beer” task.

I am really uncomfortable with this leaderboard thing. I’m not mad about the fact that it exists but about the way it has been implemented. What I’m saying: the game events usually happen at a given PST or PDT time. Here, in Europe that’s the middle of the night. If I, a European player fight myself up to the top 10000, when I wake up, I’ll be between 10000-20000. If I’m lucky. It’s OK for now, but when the event ends I don’t want to find myself in the uncomfortable situation of losing Don’t Corleone because I couldn’t/didn’t want to stay up all night waiting for the event to end.
I would suggest TinyCo to separate the leaderboards to at least three separate ones: Americas, Europe-Africa and Asia. Thus the players would have fairer chances of actually getting something and not losing because the time zones favor the Americans.

I get what your saying… but in my mind that wouldn’t work well I think.
Just give it time. Right now it’s once daily updating, that may increase as the Event continues. They’ve just got bigger things to focus on right now, like players that can’t even play or participate on the Leaderboards. 🙂

I’m steering clear of the leaderboard. Think I’ll just let TinyCo surprise me. If I focus too much attention on that board I won’t appreciate ALL OF THE OTHER GREAT THINGS THAT TINYCO IS GIVING US!
I had a ‘gentle reminder from the all wise Commander Bun-Bun that we are getting a LOT of prizes in this game without the leaderboard and many of us are obsessed with the top spot on the leaderboard instead of really enjoying the game.

Are you past District 3 with Al’s built? If so, you should see the events. Only ones that will not are those playing the Windows Stand Alone version.
Have you ever tried making sure your game is saved to an email or Facebook, wiping the one you have and uninstalling it completely, then download a fresh new file from the iOS App market, then few taps to launch menu… log back in email or Facebook… then LOAD the saved file with your game progress?

Wait wait wait, wait. Wait. Let me get this straight. They moved Mort’s task to get tickets to Brian (who, just to clarify, is a dog) and kept Mort with a task to get dog food. Why didn’t they just move the task for DOG food to Brian who again, is a DOG. Oh geez, this logic is astounding, ha.

It’s simple, Brian is not an early character, Mort is, so for people who have opened up the minimum (first 3 areas) will not have Brian, so they wouldn’t be able to get Dog Food and then we’d have a whole new group of upset people posting.

Brian unlocks quite a way into the game so they need the stuff to get through the main parts of the event to be available to new players. However you cannot get to the Brewery stuff without unlocking Brian.

I’ll be excited when these tasks come back up. I like the shorter ones, cause they’re more profitable and I check my game at least every two hours anyway (for the most part).

What is the point on having multiple tasks for the same character that take the same time and pay out the same and are inside a building?
Why no tasks for Jerome – he is earlier in the game than Joe?
They also need to do something about the fog food – either make it an always drop or get 1 or 2 more characters able to get it.
I’ve been stuck for a day and a half now trying to take down the second warehouse, managed to get 2 bits of dog food but need four. This is also blocking me from unlocking the round guy as I need the drops from clearing the forklift which is stuck behind the dogs 😦

Not sure where to put this. Just got a message from TinyCo that they are going to replace Mort with a different character to help with the brewery freeing him up to get dog food. Should be effective by end of business today. Hope this helps.

New to this site so glad I found it it’s given me a heads up on upcoming tasks and info as to changes they’ve made my query is the leader boards this morning i was ranking 5,000 n odd yet an hr later I was up to nearly 14,000 now 7,000 n odd I can’t keep up is there a known problem

Keep in mind, Leaderboards will update YOUR progress quickly as you are in YOUR game. As far as the Global rankings, that is thousands upon thousands of players and those only Update about ONCE a day. So you will move all around within your group, but you will see the change for Global only when it updates. Look at the top of the Leaderboard to see when it was last updated for Global.

Anyone still having issues with the fedora count? Everything is going smoothly now for the goons attacking the truck, but my individual missions and the Consuelas warehouse are only dropping about 75% of the time. Yes, I’m keeping track and emailing TCo..just wanted to see if this was a blanket problem for all as I am short about 135 fedoras.

I’m still having an issue with character task fedoras not being added to my counter. Sunday I sent a note in game to TC about this problem, but haven’t gotten a response yet.
I wonder if they can credit the missing fedoras once they fix it? Seems like they should have the data showing what I have accomplished thus far, what my fedora count should be, what it currently is, and then adjust accordingly.

Yes it’s still a problem. I haven’t gotten any from the warehouse raids nor do my tasks count.
I messaged Tinyco about it, they said they will work on a fix after they get the bug fixed that is preventing people from being able to play the game.

I think they need to add more tasks for the dog food. 1 way to get it and it’s an uncommon. Also if they are requiring tasks for stuff that is involved with the event, it should give cookies and hats (getting tacos, but nothing for the event).
Otherwise I am enjoying the event. I am progressing well and it is no where near as busy as the Star Wars event. There was too much going on to keep track of it and very difficult stuff to get. I don’t feel behind like I did last time.

I hear ya, but I *loved* the Star trek event solely because it was Star Trek. I still have those characters walking around in my town, and I refuse to put them in storage yet. In fact, they’ve added new voice bytes to Uhura and Geordi in the last couple of days. I really enjoyed the odea of the enterprise “map.” Hope someday they bring it back.

FYI – the voice quotes I mentioned are new *to me*, although maybe other people have had them for ages. Up until 3 days ago, Uhura only said 2 quotes for the last 2 months in my game lol Either way, it’s nice to have them 🙂

Since Jerome is one of the first few characters unlocked, I’d like to see him with some tasks to earn cookies & hats. Maybe even a task for dog food!?! Why should Mort handle those all by himself, those goons come up on him and he’s all Oh God! Take it, it’s yours,No charge, and there goes the dog food.

My Fatfather 8 hour task to sample cookies says 50 cookies in game. So I wanted to see if that was correct but everytime I try to select it the game kinda freezes for a minute and crashes (which is the first time I have had this kind of crash in this game ever, usually the game jsut instantly crashes and goes to my “desktop/home screen”). So I have moved onto another task. Its a shame cause that was one of the few tasks that would earn more than repeating 2 hour tasks 4 times.
Also I hate when the tasks to earn items to unlock a character dont earn event currency, especially if that character has other tasks for event currency.

Nice to have more tasks, but I wish they would have added more characters that can earn cookies and mob rep. I guess the two hour ones would be nice if I could get in my game every two hours. Going on 63 hours of crashing and have gotten in maybe 5 or 6 times. Wishes they’d focus on fixing these crashing and loading issues instead of letting the lucky few get even farther ahead of us unlucky ones 😦

I really like that they6 added more tasks to get the fedoras however I wish they would add something else to get dog food. I keep getting blue tickets with Mort. I can put off the brewery tasks as it is not an event with a deadline. Plus I have other characters who can earn the blue tickets. Any hope of another way to get dog food? Also,I think it would have been cool to have Brain Damaged Horse do something with this event. I mean since a horse was used in the original Godfather movie lol

I like this event but what would be better is if the leaderboard you could have a claim now option button if you claimed then you can’t get anything hire so if you get to zoom suit stewie and you claimed you can’t get don corleone or any of the houses so it is a good choice if you want it but it also means if you want something underneath it as well such as the mansion you can get that as well, this is also good because some people can get don corleone or change it so first is platinum then gold then silver then bronze then instead of zootsuit stewie on his own you can get him and don corleone so more people can get him because most people do want him.

Nice gesture on TinyCo’s part. However, why is it that the only original characters being used are the ones that come with districts 1 thru 4? How about the rest of Quahog’s citizens? Give the players that have been here longer a little bonus.

I wish these storyline/quests were character driven and not event driven. I want more American Dad/Babs/Jillian quests but unless it’s an event it’s probably never going to happen.

Love that Lois has a 2 hour task now, and that Mort had a task now. But, after my initial log in this morning, I was able to pay for a little while but then it crashed on me and now I can’t get back in. Anyone else complaining of this?

I like the 2hr. talks, but I don’t understand why there are multiple characters with multiple 2hr. tasks. We can’t do more than one task at a time and they payout the same. Wonder why they didn’t give those tasks to other characters. I don’t need Bonnie to have 3 identical tasks. I do wish they’d use Brian, Stewie, or even Meg for something. Even Consuela or Cleveland who seem to be tied into this event don’t help… I still like the event so far, I just don’t understand this change.p

So… aside from Lois and Quagmire’s new 2 hour task, everything is still indoors and takes the same amount of time as an already existing job for the same pay?
That seems kind of silly to introduce and pointless. I guess it may be for quests to come, but they’ve usually added those temporary tasks when the quest comes up, and then vanish when they’re gone. Was hoping for some other characters to get some cookie/fedora tasks. Oh well.

For me this has been a nice relaxing event, I’ve never seen any of the godfather movies so I can just play the game and if I get new characters or outfits for existing characters that’s cool if not no sweat. After stressing out during the star trek event it’s nice to just play during this event. Also T.S.T.O. is quiet right now and it’s summer time so it’s all good! Except for working lol. Great website, you all keep up the great work.

Good morning. Love the game, always will. I like the event mobster theme, what I’m disappointed at is the lack of characters being used, for instance why not use vinny to get dog food too, instead of just mort. I have over 60 characters and only a handfull are being used, its so wasteful becouse i spent clams on a lot of these characters. Here’s another one, why not have Patrick Stewart have a chance to get fedoras…….and so on. Good work bunny and alissa for keeping us in the loop. Have a good day.

I’m confused about how Mort can help me with this event when he keeps giving me items for that Wonka event too. I can’t get rid of the Wonka factory or store it so Mort can only produce mob event currency. Help!

You are still getting Brewery drops due to there are many items in the Brewery with “limits”, so until you make them all to their “limits” items for them will continue to drop.
Outside of that, they will NOT interfere with the Event drops. In other words, you WILL get the Dog Food when the drop is intended. Any other time you will get coin & XP or , in your case, a possible Brewery item.

Common in most games to have the “Main” Characters always involved. It is also still only week one, more may come as it progresses and more usually do.

I was surprised that Quagmire’s withdraw task put him in one of the other houses rather than at the bank. Also several tasks are marked with movie reels. So far, they’re just ones where the character disappears into a building.
