Hey there Mafioso!
Looks like TinyCo added an additional Challenge Element into the games today. Many of you probably already saw the “Speed Feed Diabeto” Pop Up into your game.
Let’s take a look at this in a bit further detail.
Just to clarify this right away, these Challenges will ONLY be seen by select Players that have spent Clams in the past on in game Purchases. This is also SUPPOSED to be “VERY Challenging“. So it is an optional item for some Players to try. You do NOT have to do these Challenges if you do not want to. In other words, you may have to spend Clams to complete the Challenge.
These all will be a ONE DAY TIMER… so you have 24hrs to complete this Challenge.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE NEW CHALLENGES INFO?
Outside of getting the in game pop up of the task and timer associated, if you go into your Event Menu (Don Corleone Icon, Lower Right Side), tap on it.
You will see a NEW Section has been added to it. One with a Timer on it. Tap on the Timer Icon.
This is where you will see the Prizes for the New Challenges added.
FIRST CHALLENGE & PRIZE
The First of these Challenges just popped into our game and involved Diabeto. Here is what I saw in my game. It came with a 24hr Timer attached.

**TAKE DOWN CLEVELAND’S CASINO TASK
Taking Down Cleveland’s Casino means you have completed ALL 3 Star Raids, have the Geronimo Casino, and have moved on to the Additional “Optional Raids”. To Complete this task you will have to do a COMPLETE Run on one of the “Optional Raids”. For me this was FIVE Obstacles total.
I had already completed 5 Optional Raids, so it already took that into account when the Task Popped up for the Challenge and checked it off for me.
I was going to post this tomorrow with the rest of the Casino info, but as it may come in use now… I will attach it here too. Keep in mind, this is what I got in MY game. Your options may vary.

Reward for Completion: 100 Fedoras x 2.5X Multiplier/ 250 Fedoras
As you can see, they vary in items as well as Payout. You can keep doing these over and over to continue to earn more Mob Rep to help you out in your totals. Keep in mind, for the tasks… you are also getting Mob Rep & Cookies for completing them on top of the Obstacle Payouts.
FYI: At the end of the last 2.5X Multiplier, it did reset back to the 1X and starts up the chain again.
MY THOUGHTS
Honestly… it depends on WHERE you are already when these Challenges Pop Up and WHAT you already have and have done in your game. For me… it wasn’t that bad as the Optional Raid was done already, so instant check off there. I always keep my Capacity running on Goons, so that wasn’t too bad either… more just waiting on Trucks to show up… which is constant. So find out where you are… if it is doable within the time allotted… go for it. If you are days behind, it may not be worth it. But… that is really up to YOU. Just like Premiums, where you invest your time and Clams will come down to what makes YOU happy to use them on.
I did use Clams to speed it up for sake of the details, but I could have made it just fine with some time to spare without using them within the 24hrs. Close, but doable.
There you have it. The Basics of the New Challenges dropped into our games. Now I know what many of you may say already, I will only add this… pass any concerns on to TinyCo on this one. Give them some “Constructive Criticism” on it. I know I already did. If you need it, use the What The Deuce too. 🙂

Diabeto is already on a 24 hour task. It would take 20 hours to get enough goons not even counting for the casino raid.
All the time while trying to get a single tuba to get through the storyline! Or the gloves (difficult to do both of hose at once!)… so optional casino raids are not even to.be considered!

I have been trying to message Tinyco from in-game, but everytime have tried the last two days, a red exclamation mark pops up next to the message after I send it saying it was not sent and to retry. I have tried on wireless, wi-fi, etc., and have no problems communicating with any other games. I’m also not experiencing any crash issues. Do you have any clue of what I can do to contact them?

Maybe next week they’ll require Diabeto’s 24-hour task for the 24-hour challenge. That way, one second after it pops up, you’ll be out of luck. Unless you were fortunate enough to have tasked him before the timer started.
Really, it does stretch patience when you’re not expecting a new requirement and you’ve just sent someone on a long task because you had no forewarning. Since you can’t cancel someone’s current activity without spending clams, this has been a longstanding frustration of the game’s model.
For this one specifically… enough people have commented on the take-down-casino being the optional raid (this was not clear in the game). My beef is that there are too many conflicting priorities, and some of the priorities are bugged (read: Tuba Drops), so even if you plan things out, play every hour, and think you’ve got it covered, you can find out the next day you were better of focusing elsewhere.
It’s a free game, yes… but enough time is invested that people’s frustrations are understandable.
I for example had been focusing on the gold trucks for the time being, because the tubas aren’t dropping, and there was no info on whether the ample-gold-trucks were going to stay that way or if it’s a temporary catch-up after the gold truck bug earlier. Hence I’m not going to clear the casino task on this timed challenge, and I’m out of the running for the big prize. Not knowing what the big prize is, I’m not going to spend clams.
[Not sending this to TinyCo, I’ve messaged them enough lately. Hopefully Matt (or whoever) is reading.]

Good grief, I’m still trying to unlock Diabeto on one of my accounts. Those bottles just aren’t dropping for some odd reason.
This is a no-go for me. I’m not even attempting the Gold Vans. I’m just struggling to get to the next level. I can’t get past Corleone’s house *sigh*

I could have completed the feed diabeto quest if Diabeto himself wouldn’t need 15 hours to complete his current task when it started… They planned for him a 24h task to get Luchadores’ masks so they were aware he would probably be into something preventing him to complete the task without paying for it… They clearly did it on purpose.

And after doing the maths, this challenge is only possible if you were either (1) already at least partway through a 4th casino run and had some luchadors in hand, or (2) if you spend clams. And for option 1 you needed to have previously spent clams to get there or been very lucky in your timings and task choices. So basically this is a challenge designed for the top thousand or so premium players for them to get another 500 hats.
Nice work TinyCo, this will endear you to so many of your players. I can feel the love already. /s

I liked this event at first. But it is BS now. Really frustrating. They keep adding stuff while can’t even log in from iOS. Gurl scouts don’t drop anything, I’m just wasting time and resources on them. The leaderboards is messed up too.
I’ve been whining before, during the StarTrek event but I feel like this event was created to show me things can be waaaay worse. Also, support isn’t responding

Losing more and more faith in the game. I have no problem with them being challenging, complete a run, sure thing. But an optional run when not at that level yet, very hard to accept that!
TinyCo to me has gone from caring about the community to profiteering which is disappointing…

Mine just triggered, and I barely started my third star 😦 I don’t think I’ll be able to do 2 runs to complete it let alone get enough luchadors to finish the obstacles and the gurl scouts. I’m a little disappointed if it had triggered after I finished the initial 3 runs and I only had to do the optional one, then it might have been more doable. I’m already kinda behind on Cleveland jr because I’m trying to finish my 3 stars. I usually like the challenges, but this one seems too much, and I don’t mind spending clams, but the deco sign doesn’t seem worth it. Anyway…thanks for all the great info ladies 🙂

just taken casino down for 1st time, i was locked out for 2 days with the game crashing. then no gloves from gold trucks.
now back to the good old spend clams to speed up the time sensitive tasks. no way i should have got this task before i could even get masks.
would say its a joke with the planning but the 50 plus chars in storage show that you need yo be level 7 and willing to spend clams to get anywhere.

You always do such a great job posting new info quickly and accurately! Your walkthroughs on the casino runs help a lot with planning ahead (especially on something like this). I looked at the new challenge center and see it shows arrows going from one week to the next and then says there will be a grand prize. Do you know if someone misses getting the week 1 prize if they can still try for week 2 or is it if you miss one you’re done?

Well I was really happy cause I calculated just enough time to get everything done in time for the prize, but they changed the task (or maybe just clarified what they meant) to not taking down his casino to actually clearing an extra raid.I’m so close to clearing the casino, now…I’m forced to go further down the leader board. I’d need about 16 more hours for the Luchadors to get the prize now.

Already sent a couple paragraphs to tiny co regarding this, but. It’s pretty sneaky of tinyco to camouflage their gratitude of players spending clams, by giving them a special task, which will force most players to spend clams to complete it anyways.

I hate to do it, but I think I’m gonna retire to freemium player for a bit. Or just collect characters who originate from Family Guy. (Knowing me, I’ll change my mind.) This event is becoming too stressful for my tastes. Haven’t had many glitches, but it’s taking forever to load for me, which is annoying when checking in every hour. Plus, I’m getting a bit frustrated, I mean, this challenge is almost like “Hey! Folks who are ahead! Here’s something to put you even further ahead!” I understand and agree that people who pay more deserve more, but dang. I think the fact it has to be an optional raid to qualify is the straw that broke the camel’s back for me.
Still gonna try to get Zoot Suit Stewie, but I’m tired of worrying about staying in the top 10,000. Hopefully they’ll release the Don in a best of 2015 event or something.

I’m done with this stupid game.
Constant app crashes during every event ( this has been the worst ever), can’t run on IOS now if you run on Android too, Getting my clams ripped off from crashes.

It would have been nice of them to wait until iOS got their update login problem fixed first before they launched this. Now it’ll mean that I’ll be even further behind on the leaderboard. I haven’t been able to play on my phone since Friday. And can only get on a couple times a day when I can access wifi on android. This sucks and I’m sure screwing A LOT of people over.

Are you sure you need to complete the casino 3 times plus an optional time? The math for anybody to do that in 24 hours let alone the other tasks is impossible with you needing 2 Luchadores per Girl Scout (8 hours), (6 hours) on Goons for Trucks and the spawn rate for Masks to make Luchadores. I suspect you just have to do 1 run to get that check mark. I’m almost finished with the second run needing 3 Luchadores and will report. If it doesn’t happen I’ll just focus on the other tasks.

I completely agree with you. It’s pretty much impossible to complete these without prior knowledge of the casino raid requirements and (most likely) the use of clams.
I appreciate that Bunny and friends keep us up to date, but I’m certain that there is a large number of players that don’t get this kind of heads up-either they don’t know about FGAs or they just don’t bother.
I’m not really complaining, just trying to figure out how this could possibly happen for more casual players.

Yeah they changed the description to confirm it is bonus raids, not the first 3 star ones.
The challenge should not really trigger until you have got three stars IMO, as otherwise you stand no chance. Even then it is a push to get all the stuff done in 24 hours without clams.

I agree. I did the math and when the Speed Feed Quest triggered for me, just to get the goons and luchardores needed for the whole thing would take at least 30 hours and I don’t have the clams to enough speedups to make up the difference. So this quest was over before it began for me.

I just finished the three stars and was already hours into the challenge. The 24 hour clock is impossible. Unless I spend a ton of clams there is no possible way to finish the optional casino run on time. As it is you need 8 wrestlers to get the gurl scouts and for the task I have in the casino at least 12 more wrestlers and the there is 12 goons. So 20 wrestlers (20 hours) plus aw goons (6 hours). They didn’t think this through. And yes I already sent feedback.

I posted last week how happy I was as a freemium player to still be in the running for the cool prizes on the leaderboard, but I see now that this will be the end of that; this will definitely separate the freemium from premium players on the leaderboard. The mob rep you get from speed feeding and additional raids is awesome, but sadly, I will not be able to clear an additional raid in 24 hours without forking over some major clams which I do not have. So long leaderboard…it’s been fun!! 😢

I already made a angry report to TinyCo. This one is not for casual spenders. And what about the tubas?? They sent a bulk answer saying they realized that there is a problem at tuba drops but not an estimated time to solve it. Week 1 of this event was a lot of fun, but they are making huge mistakes at week 2 😦

As someone in the legal profession, I see every day how word choice is critical. “Take down…Casino” does not mean complete an additional raid. TinyCo should know better.
I’m consistently in the 4,000-5,000 ranking, and I only just completed my 3 star run shortly after the Speed Diabeto quest popped up. That means, optimistically speaking, 4,000 people have a chance of completing the bonus task. Not a smart move, to alienate that much of their player base.
Meanwhile, still zero tubas.

I noticed that shortly after the Challenge appeared, that the wording was altered to read: “Take Down Fight Promoter Cleveland’s 1st Optional Casino Raid.”
Maybe someone from their legal team made them change it. LOL.

Welp, I started playing at the start of the American Dad event and looks like the end has come for me. FGA has been the number one stop for everything I needed to know. Thank you for the solid dedication and keep it up.

Always makes me sad to see this….I just don’t understand why they can’t create a level playing field. But have a boost with premium purchases. Other games do it successfully and make tons of money, not sure why TinyCo can’t manage to do this.

Thanks Bunny! I was already trying to figure out how to get this done and calculated that I’d cut it close. Now that I know you have to do an additional raid I know I can’t make it.
If I hadn’t read your post, I might’ve spent clams and then been very mad to find out it required another raid. I know it’s hard to put a whole lot of explanation in the game, but they should try harder to clarify how many raids you have to do so there’s no clams spent based on a misunderstanding…
P.s. I got the quest but not the new info with the timer icon you described… So maybe the info about additional raids is directly in some games.

Anyone else having issues when visiting neighbors? A couple mine keep popping up, “you need to upgrade your game in order to visit this neighbor.” But there’s no update available.

iOS, Kindle and Android on on different versions at the moment. They’re still waiting for Apple (and I believe Kindle) to approve the update that hit Android last week (it’s a delay on Apple and Kindle…TinyCo submitted them all at the same time). So that could be what’s causing the issue if your neighbor is on Android and you’re on iOS

I don’t have that new timer icon for the challenges page. I restarted but still don’t see it. I did get the quest though. That’s definitely a lot of stuff to do on top of other things going on but I think I can get it done. I already had 3 stars and was part of the way through the first extra run at the casino when the quest popped up.

I wish it lasted for two days. Ugh, I just spent 37 clams to speed up the queue, then I remembered that I cannot do it in time without spending more. The vans and Diabeto are no problem, but I am on the second obstacle in my first optional raid, there is no way I will now be able to complete the Scout raids and the casino in a day. This is one of those times I wish my game crashed and undid the last few actions. I think I’ll just have to live with it and remember it in the future. I have spent quite a bit of money recently so I don’t want to add clams, unless there is something amazing or a great deal, no matter how much I want an item I’ll just have to ignore it. The thing that annoys me the most is that I’m normally very level headed about these things. I saw it earlier and thought it wasn’t worth the fuss(granted I didn’t see the prizes, just the mob reputation), having seen that I would need the prizes for what I would guess is going to be a good end prize(perhaps a character) I ignored common sense, and the fact that I would not be able to complete it, and wasted clams.

Remember the grand prize usually isn’t all that spectacular. In this case I don’t think it’ll be a character. During Comic-Con it was the Superhero Jet and during Halloween it was the Ecto-1 (cool, but not worth killing yourself over).

OK, I didn’t play during those, so I only saw the one at Christmas but now I think I have confused that with something else. I cannot finish this one anyway so I won’t be able to get the grand prize. I’ll just leave it, maybe if they gave us two days or even three. Also, I think that this shouldn’t trigger for people until they have completed all three normal raids. It isn’t fair to the people that haven’t yet completed the raids as it will take them even longer to catch up.

I am not even going to try. I have 16 hours left on diabeto 1 day task so that rules it out straight away. I didn’t start any extra raids as they require too many luchadors. I am putting them all on gurl scouts to get tubas. This is more impossible to at least 80% of players as you need 15 luchadors and 12 goons which takes up 21 hours. Never mind. This will be the first challenge prize I won’t be able to complete.

That kind of sucks, I mean for me I am on the middle of getting the second star, it should be finish one raid. That’s already hard enough to do in one day with the other check offs for this task.

So addl raid 1 – 16 hours in luchadors, 4 Girl Scouts – 8 hours in luchadors. 12 trucks – 6 hours of goons. Not to mention other tasks – I guess if I hadn’t triggered it I might have had a chance? But with 30 hours of Copa work alone…

You have to realize by now that TinyCo is so backed up with support issues it will take them weeks to even read our “feedback”. I’ve done just as you suggest only to have the ticket closed or not responded to at all. Heck they’ve yet to get back to me on missing cookies and fedoras and that was reported 10 days ago. Lately any feedback is either 86d or given such low priority the issues in question is long since passed.

Just a suggestion…., but make sure they know that you’re not going to spend a dime on their game until you receive satisfaction. Money is everything, and the only reason they exist.

This is not fair at all. If you need to be on the optional raids, then this challenge should have not started until you already earned the 3 stars. It is very discouraging. I understand that they wanted to mske it challenging but this is basically impossible without dropping a lot of cash.

This is exactly how I feel. This task popped up on me last night and I was so excited cause I thought yes! Can help bring me up. However I have yet to start All In and therefore have no options to get the masks I need to hire the Lucadors plus there’s no way I can reach the optional raids on the casino in 24 hours. I honestly feel like this should’ve popped up specific to each individual’s progress in the game. Now diabeto is on his 12 hour overeat task for no reason cause I can’t complete this. And 500 fedoras prize rep, this hurts. I’m feeling so discouraged from this. I just feel like playing and enjoying it for what it is without actually participating cause it doesn’t seem to be working for me right now.

Thanks for this post Bunny. I truly appreciate the info. I am only midway through the second raid but now I know not to even bother focusing on this challenge. What a bummer! The mob rep would have been sweet, esp since I couldnt load the game for a few days. Guess that’s just the way the cookie crumbles. 😦

Just to let you know, the cookies Bunny likes are Macadamia nut with both white and dark chocolate. So even the crumbs are expensive LOL

Lol ya. I caught that post. 😉 Those happen to be one of my favorite cookies too. 🙂 I’d share and send her some but I’m not confident she would even get them. I don’t think she ever received the last snail mail I sent her, a couple of months ago, back during the Star Trek Event. With my luck the mailman would eat the cookies (and the expensive crumbs) before they ever reached her.

Well, TinyCo hosed me on this one. They introduce a 24 hr task for Diabeto to earn masks, which I sent him on this morning. Then they activate the challenge. So now I have 22 hours and 2 minutes to complete the challenge, but Diabeto has 12 hours and 1 minute until he is free again. Which means I have 10 hours and 1 minute to complete the challenge that requires a 12 hour task. So unless I spend clams, I can’t possibly complete the first challenge and am not eligible for the grand prize.
I’m really upset. I’m on hourly (when there’s not a major glitch preventing me from getting on) and I spend clams on characters, but this whole event has been complicated and convoluted, glitched up, generally not a lot of fun. Now TinyCo tries to do something for those of us who do spend money on the game and it’s done in such a way, that it actually makes me angrier than I had been. I don’t know. Star Trek wore me down, the firefighter even just made me angry and this one may have finally broken me.

I stopped playing during the firehouse event, I got so sick of seeing everything on fire!! I thought I got lucky for this timed event, it was in the bag!! I had just freed Diabeto when it popped up and was able send him onto the task 1st thing. I only needed one luchador to complete the final raid (he was almost finished). I released him and sent them on their merry little way, placed Geronimo’s casino and hired some goons. I went back in to put the goons to task and clear a Girl Scout only to find out they changed the wording to screw with us. The original wording was “take down fight promoter Clevelands casino,” now it says “take down fight promoter Clevelands 1st optional casino raid!!!” It will take 30 hours just to hire luchadors and goons without using clams.

I was in the same boat, Diabeto had 20hrs left, but it was only 6 clams to speed him up.

Hit GO in the task list for the challenge at the.task you already sent Diabeto on, so it takes you to his progress bar. When I’ve done this in the past, they seem to count the task even though it was started earlier. Don’t know if it will work for the timed challenge, but worth a try.

Same happened to me, however for some odd reason when diabeto had over 16 hours left on that quest it only cost 9 clams to speed up. So I sped it up as soon as they offered this new mission and got him on the 12 hour quest.

I play the same as you do (buy premium characters, and log on hourly), and am feeling the exact same way. The impossibility of this challenge is disheartening. I’ve gotten the grand prize of each previous event’s challenge, but apparently I won’t be getting this one. I also have every character, but because of The Great Crash of Summer ’15 I’m 4 days behind and struggling to catch up on the leaderboards in an attempt to win Don Corleone. With respect to outfits: not being far enough in the main game to win Sexy Party Stewie bummed me out; not getting Borg Consuela (due to not wanting to risk throwing any clams away on useless or unwanted prizes) bummed me out and irked me; not getting Zoot Suit Stewie due to programmer error will make me unprintable things.

Ok I thought I had a slim chance to compleate this challenge in time thinking I only had to get to the end of the 3rd raid since I was in the middle of raid 3, but now I see the requirements for this is next to impossible.
Bad timing on releasing this quest or a very large money grab.

Wish I’d have known it was really a clam spending challenge before wasting wiseguys in storage to take down 6 of the required trucks and tying up Diabeto for 12 hours.
I’m at raid #1 so it’s impossible to train 6 more wiseguys and 24 Luchadors (lol) AND the clam cost to catch up is disproportionate.

Honestly… it depends on WHERE you are already when it pops and WHAT you already have and have done in your game. For me… It was easy as the Optional Raid was done. So instant check off there. I always keep my Capacity running on Goons, so that wasn’t too hard… more just waiting on Trucks to show up… which is constant. So find out where you are… if it is doable… go for it.

Bunny it may have been easy for you having already done the optional raid, but most have not. Others have already pointed out the math; even if you keep the goons maxxed out, with each luchador needing an hour to hire to get 24 that’s already the entire 24 hours. Then you need 10 goons with each requiring 30 mins so you’re already over the 24 hour period. I was still on the third star so that used up a half dozen luchadors; I even used some clams to speed up, but now it’s not really possible unless I spend many clams to speed up or buy shady RV’s.
I wouldn’t even care that much except for the face that like other challenges, if you miss one you can’t get the final prize.

I was feeling the same way when they changed the language to specifically note that the casino raid you need to finish is the first one post Stars. (Might want to update the post to reflect that they made that clarification.) Then I said “screw it”, since I’m still trying to get Cleveland Jr, and at the current drop rate, those last two Golf Balls I need might actually take 12 Goons. Don’t even get me started on Tubas… I’m on the third casino raid, waiting on Luchadores, mostly. Finally got my bags of money, after two straight triple goose eggs… And here I thought the Dog Food was a pain…
I’ll be honest, I have no idea, short of spending a ton of Clams, how anyone is able to do multiple extra runs, whether it’s the casino or the safe house before it, given the horrendous (supposedly) “Uncommon” drop rates and all the hoops we had to jump through just to get to a position where we could *start* the raids… Maybe we can get a strategy post or two?

There’s no point me trying for this if I have to finish my 3rd star and complete a whole raid on top of that – I was hoping it was just finishing the 3rd star and not an additional optional raid – too many clams to get that. I guess I’ll just have to settle for zuit suit stevie – but maybe a can squeak by and get the don too

Oh so thaaaaaaaaaat’s where it got me! I haven’t been able to only finish the first 3 raids. Trying to get Cleveland Jr. now. So that’s why it didn’t count any of my first 3 raids… it need to be the optional ones! Well thank you for the help 🙂
