With Men in Zoot Suits running round the game, Goons shooting up Cookie Trucks, and Offers you just can’t refuse… the Mobsters Event is live in our silly lil games.
With the Mobsters Event rounding in full swing it’s time to take a look at the characters/costumes you could unlock throughout the event….
Mike Tyson is an optional Premium Character you can purchase during the Mobsters Event (he arrives during week 2), so let’s take a look at this tattooed Boxer/Actor to see just what he can do in our silly lil games.
Mike Tyson was dropped into our games for Week 2 as a Premium Clam Buy Option of 260 Clams.
Outside of a Character/Actor/Boxer, he was brought into the game to help to Earn Luchador Masks that you will need in order to Hire Luchadors. Luchadors are very much needed all around the Event. Mainly Gurl Scouts and Casino Raids for week two.
He does come with a Questline, The Best Ever, more details on it HERE.
So far he is not a part of any Character Collection and unlocking him will not help you earn additional Clams.
Mike Tyson does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn Gurl Scout Cookies and Fedoras (Mob Rep) for the Event. Also one to help you ALWAYS get a Luchador Mask

Here I thought I was the only person on the iOS that had a no voice Mike Tyson. Reported the problem for about a week and tiny co just contacted me yesterday saying they will look into the problem. Then the update just came out and still no Tyson voice. Oh well a least I’m not the only one

plus, why have a timer telling me that the mansion upgrade is due in 10, 9, 8 seconds etc etc then tell me after 0 to “check back later for mansion update”?

Diabeto’s 24hr task to collect masks has been changed to 4 hrs. Quagmire has a new task.

Theres a timer on the nightclub.
Tubas still at a epic drop rate for me. Non stop luchidors and over 20 girl scouts and still only 4. Even the golf balls have been at a poor drop rate.

We already updated Diabeto’s task (see his Character Profile), that happened earlier.
Timer was placed there a week ago, iOS is just now getting to see it. I like it. Helps to know more when something is going on there.

Yep. And after the update I can now play on my iPhone. But, now I’m getting that dreaded ‘need to update’ screen on my samsung tablet. Looks like we’ll only be able to play on one device or the other for this event.

Great, thanks. That’s clears that up. Another weird thing today. For the last couple days there was a timer for another mansion upgrade. But, once the timer ran out there was no upgrade. Now it just says to stay tuned for the next upgrade. Is this a game wide glitch, or a personal one. And thanks for your quick responses.

I am in the same boat on Tyson. He doesnt speak yet, so I was wondering if I had to update for it. Im skeptical about updating as lately it makes me unable to play during an event, So I have vowed to never update during an event unless it forced me to or I couldnt go any further.
In other topics tho, Did any of you guys notice star trek characters suddenly having more dialogue as time went by in that event? Characters like worf had like 2-3 sayings but by the end had at least 3 more sayings. (without any updates)

Update just hit iOS. You may wanna put it in your game before tonight’s content hits.
Worf had a TON of sayings. It’s just a matter of triggering them. I have a lot on their character profiles. Most had 8-12

Bunny – I went to the App Store and got the iOS update. The only thing I see is on the CopaHavana roof. There is an “!” Mark when the goons and Lucs are maxed. When they aren’t maxed, there is a time-down meter showing.

It is just a Patch. So you will now get access to the same things that Android has. The Patch for the game issues, the new timer/countdown and Completion of Goons over Copahavana, Mike Tyson’s Voice… among other fixes. The new content for Week 3 will be released later.

I think this is a cool character. I enjoy having him in my Quahog. He does indeed help with the masks for the luchadors. I was having issues with the hat drop not registering to the count, but I think that’s been fixed because so far so good. Keeping my fingers crossed.

Anyone else having an issue with the game not opening in iOS? I haven’t been able to open it in several days. It keeps telling me to update (there is not an update)! Good thing I also play on android.

Tiny co knows Apple takes longer to approve app updates so why didn’t they send the apple and amazon updates in before the android update so this problem wouldn’t happen???????? I only get to play a couple hours a day on my tablet at work… now I’m behind everyone in my friends list on the leaderboards I was ahead of everyone…. I wont be able to get consulea now or promoter Cleveland outfit….. This is Tiny co’s fault not Apple’s I wish Tiny co would some how give the mob rep I have missed out on

Side note… Apple is actually the one that approves the patches faster. All the other games we play including the other we write on… Apple always gets it first. Same with this one. Sorry.
From what I have seen in the Industry it goes… Apple, Google, Amazon as far as time constraints. With Amazon usually taking a LOT longer than the rest.

Actually it is tiny cos fault. They look after android so much more. Apple approves updates true but they do not need to approve patches. Tinyco state that this was a patch but that was bs. A simple patch would correct a couple of simple mistakes in the coding and doesnt require anything but an in-game update but to use the app store to update means they are doing more. I wish tinyco would stop blaming others for their lack of customer service. On a side note the update also brought adverts for clams courteously of mort.

I have a small problem with Mike Tyson: he is not voiced for me. I was wondering what I should do to fix this. I’ve been exiting the app and opening it, hoping it’ll work, but still nothing.

I love that he’s in the game and was excited at first and wanted to get him. But so far this event sucks and im not wasting my clams on this event unless tinyco fixes all the problems and the event itself gets a lot better. Such a shame considering how amazing this event could’ve been.

Same here. Every time I click on him, I get a bunch of static. Sent a message to TinyCo but honestly I’m not expecting to hear from them anytime soon. I’m just glad I’m not the only one with this issue!
