Hello There Clammers!
Lately the tensions been a bit high around here and frustrations about TQFS are mounting. I know the game can be a bit frustrating (and downright aggravating) at times, but it’s important to remember…It’s a game and games are supposed to be fun. So with that in mind Bunny and I decided to bring back some fun around here…and nothing says fun more than giving away FREE STUFF!
With all the talk about this (and past) events, and with so many varying opinions we thought it would be fun to see how YOU would create an event for TQFS! And that’s what this contest is all about…well that and free stuff!
So here’s the skinny….
The Addicts team wants YOU the readers to come up with an event idea. Think back on previous events, include both premium and freemium buildings/decorations/characters. Now’s your chance to tell TinyCo exactly what you want to see in an event for TQFS!
Each Event Creation must include:
-Event Theme, a working theme through the entire event (like Mobsters, Comic-Con, Star Trek etc)
-Length of time the event will last (i.e. 4 weeks, 5 weeks etc.)
-Event currency, and how it will work if Multiples (like with this event, cookies for buying stuff, Mob Rep for earning prizes)
-Event Prizes/structure. How will earning prizes work? Will players need to collect x to unlock the prizes? Will they have to collect a bunch of items to craft them? How would you like to see it work? And don’t forget to include the prizes!
-For each week of the event you’ll need to indicate at least 1 new character to unlock (or skin), and new way to earn event currency (i.e. with this event Week 1 had Purple cookie trucks, week 2 had gurl scouts, week 3 has cookie couriers…just something new each week.)
-For the new characters/skins that can be unlocked indicate the STUFF that will be required to unlock them, the drop rates & which characters will have tasks for it
-A list of both freemium and premium decorations for the entire event (At least 1 of each)..Pricing included
-A list of both freemium and premium buildings for the entire event (at least 1 of each) and what, if anything, they’ll drop/payout and how often….Pricing included
-A general idea of what the questline dialogue would include. Actual dialog not needed, but a basic outline of who will be needed and what kind of trouble they’ll get into each week.
-MUST Fall Within Addicts Guidelines, or your entry will be disqualified
Not required, but nice to have:
-A list of premium characters (if any) to be released for the entire event…Pricing included
-Extra challenges to help earn more currency (like the Yeti at Christmas, Raids during the Mob Event, etc)
-Mystery Box ideas
HOW TO WIN
All Entries must be submitted by 11:59pm on July 11th, 2015. Bunny and I will then go through all of the entries and pick the top 10 that we think are the absolute best. We will post the top 10 on our website the following week (sometime during the week of July 13th 2015) and then open it up to the readers of FamilyGuyAddicts.com to vote on which one they like the best. Voting will open once they are posted and will close by July 19th, 2015 at 11:59pm. The top 5 vote getters will be our big winners. Winners will be announced sometime during the week of July 20th.
HOW TO POST YOUR ENTRY
Send your event ideas by email to FamilyGuyAddicts@gmail.com, be sure to include Event Planner Contest in the subject line. Yup it’s really that simple! No screenshots to take, no town designing to do (unless you REALLY want to add some photographic examples with your entries…but it’s NOT required).

Here are the Official Rules:
Each contestant may only submit ONE entry! (no revisions once submitted. If multiple entries are submitted by the same reader only the FIRST entry submitted will be accepted)
Valid email address must be provided when submitting an entry, this will be how we will contact you to let you know you’re one of the top 10. (your email address will not be published on the blog and will only be viewable by the Addicts staff.)
Unfortunately, because of the nature of the Gift Cards, Gift Cards can only be awarded to Tappers in the US 18 and older. To our friends outside of the US 18 and older you may enter the contest but an alternate prize may be awarded at Addicts discretion if a gift card for your country cannot be secured.

You must let us know within 1 week of winning which platform (iOS, Amazon/Kindle or Android) you’d prefer the GC on.

All entries will be reviewed by Addicts writers prior to posting.
Any entry deemed by the Addicts team as not PG or offensive, will not be posted and not be eligible to participate in the contest.

Family Guy Addicts 
Ok here’s a good one…so family guy backwards. Everyone should switch roles like Peter should be skinny and come from a good rich family, Lois should be fat and come from a bad family, meg should be as fat as Chris and Chris should be as fat as meg and everyone would make fun of Chris instead of meg, stewie should be a normal baby instead of and evil genius, and well Brian should be a cat. Then for joe and Bonnie, Bonnie should be in a wheelchair and be a cop and Joe should be a stay home husband, and last quagmire should be a nice clean virgin who only wears button up sweaters and khakis and is a Christian freak! I feel like that would be the best episode ever!

I guess I could TRY to create an entry with all the required info, but for now I’m going to toss out my general idea.
It would be like a 2 week TED 2 event. Where you could unlock Ted and John ( Mark Wahlberg) and then do a Ted 1 and 2 themed “Help ave Ted from Donny” (Giovanni Ribisi) quest line. Premium characters could be like Morgan Freeman, or Amanda Seyfried.
I’m going to think on this a bit more and try to flesh out the entire idea. Anyone else like the idea?
Also, if you haven’t seen Ted 2 yet… you should go do that.

Haven’t seen Ted 2 but Submitt Ted! 😉 Was pleasantly surprised with his character in the 1st movie. He stole the show…yep Ted was defintely a scene stealer 😉 Love Mark Wahlburg and Giovanni Ribisi too BTW;)

I am no where near creative enough to be able to come up with all this stuff. I do look forward to seeing other submissions though. A Tarantino event would be awesome, maybe a Kevin Smith one. The only thing I’d say is that I would have premium characters players have bought contribute an always drop to any event. I feel like if you’re willing to spend clams you should be rewarded for it later on. I understand not everyone has them but there are players that spend clams on event buildings and I don’t do that for basically the same reason, they are useless after the event. But I think it balances out. Maybe it would be an incentive for more people to buy premium characters. I would make it a 24 hour drop that way it’s not too easy to collect whatever item.

Going completely off the board here — how about Phantom of the Opera? I’m sure there’s a Wikipedia page somewhere that spells out all of the characters. Could be a hoot. 🙂

I will not be doing this contest because it really seems like a great deal of work, But I love the idea of having a contest like this and am quite curious to read the submissions.
I do have a few thoughts that I think would make for great events, (if done right)
Star Wars Blue Harvest Event, – tons of characters to unlock and skins, and Decos
Lord of the Rings/The Hobbit, – tons of characters to unlock and skins, and Decos
(This is one just because I am a fan of his work)
A Quentin Tarantino Movie Event.
Characters from all of his movies, such as

Reservoir Dogs

Jackie Brown
Death Proof (Movie Sucked)
Inglorious Bast@rds (keeping it PG Bunny)

Peter as the Gimp- the was an episode of FG where peter was wearing a gimp costume
Connie as “The Bride” (kill Bill)
Bonnie as “Mia”
Cleveland as Jules
Jerome as Marsellus Wallace
Quagmire as Vincent Vega
Carter Pewtershmidt as Bill (Kill Bill)
Donna as Jackie Brown (Jackie Brown-Duh)

I’m assuming it doesnt matter if the theme wouldnt be allowed for copyright reasons? I have a great idea (at least it sounds that way in my head haha) but it would definitely be copyright infringement xD (though my idea is from the show. No not star wars :P)
Oh and do you have to say what tasks would earn currency and how much? Or just (for example) ‘peter+Jerome can earn *whatever currency*”

As you are just “brainstorming” an idea, as long as the content and images are all original and YOUR… no worries. 😉
The ins n outs are up to you… just as long as it meets the guidelines listed.

Quick question about the requirement for the entries to be PG – why? This is Family Guy which is not a kids show or game – the game is already full of sex and drugs references

You do realize you are on OUR site right? NOT ran by FOX, Family Guy, TinyCO, etc. You are following the standards the ADDICTS have to follow to keep our site accessible to all players/readers and not slapped with an MA tag, force OUR readers to be locked out, or worse… site shut down.
So please respect US, the Addicts, and our Guidelines on OUR site. 😉

Very cool Alissa and Bunny! I will not be entering as my creativity lies in a different manner and because of that I have a big appreciation for those who can come up with this stuff! Really looking forward to reading the submissions and hoping someone comes up with an Addicts event and hilarity ensues (hint, hint). Cleveland Jr.’s tubas, crash issues, Fire Dog Brian from freemium to premium, not enough bird droppings (see what I did there) to unlock Bird Beard Peter, Synthesizer Ore (remember the green ones), Edo Herbert, Flaming Red Shirts, mystery boxes, bunny juice, $25 Kool Aid Man, a blimp in the water for weeks, the brewery tasks that forced you to create items before the prompt would go away. Borg Bertram battles, Addicts Meet and Greets, NPC’s, very cool Clamterprise deco versus that flat Enterprise replica, cool Borg Cube and Warbird that float, sunscreen for Talosian Stewie, doubles of characters appearing next to each other, The Anuses; his hers and urs, glitches and patches and updates oh my, space condoms, Felicium the stuff that looked like “flour” in a bag, dulce for SOP, pda couples collecting Broken Hearts or Love Hearts depending on the prize you want. Just so many options there I really hope I see at least one of those. Best of luck to those who will be submitting something you never know who will see it or where it could take you. 🙂

Game of thrones, or a mini Goonies weekend event. I know the Goonies were on an episode once so that can’t be hard to do. The GOT idea prolly could never happen but there’s sooooo many characters to be had.

I just want to see a B/A (bunny/Alissa) event. The tasks are simple answer the same question a zillion times, bash head on keyboards, etc.
To lazy to write up the rest… can’t I just buy it with clams?

Whomever wants to tackle the game itself and/or include the Extremely Helpful Addict’s Blog as an imperative resource, will you make one of the tasks: “Other than visiting Ollie once a day, pretty much ignore your FGQFS neighbors because you can’t do much for them nor can they for you 😦

Reading this post just goes to show the huge amount of work that goes in to keeping this game fresh and exciting, week in week out.
Excellent post girls as usual, the work you do is much appreciated and really helps, without you guys I’m sure there would be smashed phones and ipads a plenty figuring out just how to get on in this game.

This is EXACTLY the sort of thing I love about the addicts sites. I already have about 5 different ideas. Time to start sorting them out and narrowing them down to one.
Also, if we plan on doing some art assets, can we include those as well, or is that just going to be a waste of time and energy? If they’re not going to be used in the final vote, I won’t include them.

I love your enthusiasm but with all due respect, tensions are running high because TinyCo are doing a very poor job at producing and implementing concepts. This is what many of us pay for and we are unhappy with the product they are delivering. I don’t feel the answer is to do it for them by publishing free ideas to pilfer.

Yes, tensions are running high because of TinyCo…NOT us. Sorry that we thought this would be fun…since many of you are constantly saying what YOU want to see. Here’s your chance as a fun way to do something, you’re ALREADY doing. You don’t want to do it, don’t.
This is coming from bunny and I. The money for the contests come out of our pockets, not TinyCos. So if you don’t appreciate it, we don’t have to do it.

i think you should post some figures as well, like how many people contribute to events, how much people are willing to spend etc etc.. one example may be that a lot of people complain about how much premium items are, but Tiny Co have a business to run, what is the average player spending on clams to complete events, help the public understand why certain things are done in the way they are. A business doesnt just randomly chuck a price on something without some sort of consideration..
