Hey there Mafioso!
Now we are zooming through Week 4, figured I would take a lil time to cover the items in the Mafia Stewie Mystery Box that came with the Week 4 Mobster Event Content.
What lies inside? What do the items do? Is there an offer in there you can’t refuse?
Let’s take a look at just what options you have for spending 75 Clams a try in the Mafia Stewie Mystery Box.
WHERE CAN I FIND THE MYSTERY BOX?
You can get to Mafia Stewie Mystery Box in two ways…
Shopping Cart Menu, Event Icon: Just go to your Menu, and to the Event Icon to find the Mafia Stewie Mystery Box. Tapping on the “75 Clams” will take you to the Mystery Box Pop Out.
Event Area Shortcut: Over in your Event Area, you will see the Mafia Brian Statue & now the Mafia Stewie Statue, both spitting out Cash that rains down on it. Tapping on the Statue will take you to the Mystery Box Pop Out.
MAFIA STEWIE MYSTERY BOX POP OUT
As with previous Events, tapping on the “PRIZES” button will take you to the details and information area of the Mystery Box. There you can see what you have left to win inside and some basic information on the items.
If you tap on “OPEN BOX”, the 75 Clams will be deducted from your Clam total and your Prize will be revealed.
Once the Prize is revealed, you have two options… “GO!” which will take you out of the Mystery Box and back to your game. “75 (Clam) RETRY” which once tapped will take another 100 Clams and give you another Prize.
WHAT’S INSIDE?
Here’s a look at what’s inside:
Burnt Out Brian (Character Costume): This is a fully tasked Character Costume for Brian. He does come with a Questline, A Recovering Addict, as well as tasks to help earn items. He helps with Fries in the Raids for the Courthouse and with Boxing Gloves for Fight Promoter Cleveland. If you do not have Brian yet, this one will go into “limbo” until you unlock Brian and can use Al’s to put the Costume on him.
Police Tank (Moving Decoration): This moves around like the Characters on your sidewalks around Quahog. Animated. The Blue & Red lights on the Tank blink as it drives around. The cannon will fire too occasionally by tapping on it or sometimes just while driving around. With all the other Vehicles and Cookie type Scouts/Couriers currently on the Roads right now, I actually tucked this away until after the Event.
Cement Shoe Skeleton (Decoration): Sits on a 2×2 base. Animated. The water bubbles inside and the fish swim around and around. Looks funny but fits next to places like Ocean land. Would even look funny in an Amusement Park Area.
Dancing Traffic Cop (Decoration): Sits on a 1×1 base. Animated. He dances around while just hanging out in your Quahog. When tapped he adds in some additional moves. Looks great in the center of a road (gotta put a patch of grass in a crossroads to make it work). He also fits in next to the Police Station.
4 Sequined High Heels (Material): For me, at a cost of 18 Clams each, it is 3 Clams Cheaper to get the same amount buy speeding up a task.
6 Luchador Masks (Material): For me, at a cost of 8 Clams each, it is a lot cheaper to get more than this amount from speeding up tasks.
7 Nunchucks (Material): For me, at a cost of 14 Clams each to speed, this one is actually a really good deal.
600 Cookies: My personal opinion on Cookies is this may be a quick short solution, but it is a wiser investment to put those Clams into a constant Cookie Generating Conveyor Belt Machine.
400 Cookies: My personal opinion on Cookies is this may be a quick short solution, but it is a wiser investment to put those Clams into a constant Cookie Generating Conveyor Belt Machine.
175 Clams: Everyone wants these of course!
100 Clams: Everyone wants these of course!
MY RESULTS
Now I know you are all wondering what results I got as I ran through all of this. Here is the breakdown of how it played out for me. (Your results may vary.)
175 clams
Burn Out Brian Costume
7 Nunchucks
100 Clams
Cement Shoe Decoration
Tank Moving Decoration
Dancing Cop Decoration
So overall, 525 Clams spent with 275 Clams returned. So for 250 Clams I got a Character Costume, all the decorations, and some Nunchucks I put to good use. Not too bad of a haul for the amount I invested. This was a good Mystery Box for me.
There you have it. The Breakdown of the Mafia Stewie Mystery Box along with the results I had from it.
Did you take a chance at the Mystery Box? If so, what kind of results did you get? What do you think of the Prizes? Let us know.
~Bunny

I lucked out. I got Burn Out Brian on my first try!

The only thing I wanted from this box was Burnt out Brian & after 9 tries I have gotten everything but him and either of the clams prizes. I really hate when they put things like this in the mystery boxes.

I am sooooo not happy with this prize box I’ve spent over 500 clams ( 7 tries) and I still haven’t won the burnt out brian or any clams to recoup. All I got was the stupid tank and cement skeleton and a bunch of masks and heels which I don’t need. Grrrrrrrr

This is why I no longer gamble with clams…. Learned my lesson early in the Star Trek event and am now stuck with a stupid Borg skin for the high school. I have to earn clams slowly, so I only go for sure things purchased with event stuff or coins that are earnable (such as the Rupert box in the firefighter event, using jaws of life). No matter how many people report getting something worth the gambled clams first try, you can get the duds. It’s a game of chance.
Somebody once posed the question: If you gave a statistician a million dollars as he went into a casino, how much would he walk out with? Answer: A million dollars, since anybody who understands statistics would just walk back out the door with the million dollar gift (maybe after first using the bathroom, the only reason for going inside the casino in the first place).

Where’s detective scrotes? Last week the mansion said he’d show up this week. Could he be the mystery prize for completing all the timed events?

Hello, Is there a problem with the adverts? – that’s my source of clams! An error message comes up when trying to load it up.

As it is only in testing to few players, you need to contact them via your in game messaging if there is an issue.

With two premium characters added this week, which I brought instantly as I live Robocop and The Judge is one of my faveourite FG characters, I only had two goes at this box. With the first go I got the Dancing Cop Decoration, and on my second go I got Burnt Out Brian. I would have had a few more try’s but as Detective Scrotes hasn’t been added yet, if he still is going to be, I’m holding off just in case he’ll cost Clams, if he is a character (hopefully he is) and costs Clams I’ll get him and leave the box, if he doesn’t and is unlockable I will have a few more try’s on this Mystery Box.

The only Moving Deco I am missing is the Asian Santa Mall Cop from Christmas(My GF has it and I have her snowman!) and yet despite that, if this Box didn’t have Burnt Out Brian in it, I would have completely ignored it. The Police Tank is huge. Like 4 times the size of Peter’s Christmas Tank. Well off-sided visually. 😛
The rest were meh gimmies on the way to B-O-B. In order, I got: Police Tank, Dancing Cop, 7 Nunchucks, Cement Shoe Skeleton, 175 Clams, 600 Cookies and B-O-B. If I had got the Tank and B-O-B first, I would NOT have continued. 525 Clam Investment for 350 Clams net spent for basically B-O-B. Not horrible really. 🙂

Added some clams and bought one. Some of the items are okay, but I don’t really like a lot of them. Opened my first box, Burnt Out Brian! I was so happy because it was the only thing that I wanted. It would have been even better if I had won clams, then Brian. 😛

After seeing your luck I thought I’d try a little too. But no luck for me. I only tried twice so I knew I probably wouldn’t get great stuff but I got 600 cookies (which is a waste of my clams) and then the cement shoe skeleton which is kinda cool. Need 39 more clams to try again. Which I would have if there were any returns on characters this event. This is the first time I’ve went really premium buying Mike, Myagi, and the Judge and this is the first time that there’s no return on clams for them. Know if there’s any plan to add them?

At the top, you said that tapping on the “100 clams” goes to the box, did you mean 75 as that is the cost of this one. I want to get these for the Brian outfit, but I don’t really like the rest of the items in it(excluding the clams) as it is a fair bit of money for what I would get. I would love to open it, get some clams and then Brian, I wish I had those results!

I got all decorations and Brian’s alt in four tries with Brian’s being on the fourth try. I was very happy with the results and didn’t end up spending more clams than I wanted to.

This box is a ripoff, I got 400 cookies 3 out of 4 times. Why would they even make that a prize, let alone one you can get repeatedly is beyond me. this significantly upset me about the event.
