WHAT THE DEUCE… I want more lil Decoration. I’m seeing a ton of really cool things I want in my game. Trees, bushes, sidewalks, dirt, fences… PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE give me more PERMANENT Decorations from this event!!
WHAT THE DEUCE… Someone had to go on a drunk driving rampage and knock out Internet for a lot of businesses and homes. Come on people. If you’re gonna drink, at least act like an adult and take a cab. NOTHING is worth driving under influence. Nothing at all. Risking your life and all those innocent bystanders is just… well… stupid.

Tinyco, usually these events are fun, but my God did you mess this one up royally. Nothing is fun and everything seems to be designed against you. I even threw down some clams (something I almost never do) for the popcorn machine and after a week into the event it is practically obsolete.
Scream levels go way to fast and make the collection of reels impossible. Usually I love this game, but am now really starting to dislike it.

I think the time limits on everything is a pain in the ***. You can’t get things in time and you miss out. I want to get slasher cat but I can’t because the 24hr time limit has started, how are you meant 100 reels in that time? And now you have to sodas as well and they’re just as hard to get. This event is ridiculous.

OMG I’m SO frustrated! Trying to get slasher cat so I can start working on death. The unexpected bump in levels yesterday already had me annoyed that it all of a sudden took 40 popcorn instead of 30 to get reels…n now with the new level there’s NO option for just popcorn…and it takes SIXTY popcorn and a grip of soda that I have no resources for yet. And the drop rate from the bats is crummy on top of all that. By moving me forward, you put me so far behind Tiny Co.! WHAT THE DUECE??

I’ve only been playing this game for a few months but I’ve seen significant changes. When I started events seemed fair, they seemed designed so that you could get most things for free and use clams for a few extras, and that is how I played, I don’t mind paying for clams for an extra character or costume, but now during an event it seems you can’t even get half of the stuff without spending ridiculous amounts. Between the fact that event characters are useless after the event, events having a lot of buildings but no land, ridiculous timers for unlocking stuff, the film reels in my game going for 27 sodas + 60 popcorn for 12 reels (and I haven’t finished everything from the first movie), and everything depending the same 4 or 5 characters I’m this close to giving up on this game. Thanks for letting me vent my frustration.

You are so correct. I’ve been playing at least a year. The Star Trek event was the last event where I could make it to the end and get almost everything, as a freemium player. However, the mobster event, peterpalooza, and now this, I haven’t been able to get past week 2. The other events my game would crash every minute or so ( only this game, and only during big events), and now the mess of this “event.” It used to be one of my favorite games. Not anymore.

OK, I’m not one to complain, but really Tinyco, you’ve messed up at this point. The event started out decent, the only issue it was a bit hard to get to lvl 4 within the given time period, so you tried fixing it, but screwed up at doing that in a fair way as the boost advanced people so far ahead, it was extremely difficult to get reels. If that was not bad enough, you’ve completely screwed up the exchange rates, as its nearly impossible to get enough sodas as to do the exchange rate once just to get 10 lousy reels. Not only that, you also messed up with the fact there was no warning on both Slasher cat and Patty, causing so many people to lose out on cool opportunities. The least you could do is remove the timer on Patty as there was no warning that was coming and no way to know as many people assumed it was like any other event where there was no timer, and fix the exchange rates, or drop rates of sodas, or characters that drop items that are needed. There’s only a handful of characters that get items for multiple things, such as the main quest-line character. What about all those other premium characters or other quest-line characters that are used everyone once in a blue moon? Sorry to rant, but this event just got me irritated. I know you, Tinyco, usually see when there’s an issue with drop rates and events, so please realize it before it’s too late, thank you!

Every time I get close to turning in popcorn/sodas for reels, I’m a higher scream level and it cost double to turn in. So now I collect more and when I go to turn in, I’m a higher scream level and it cost even more to turn in. They make this so impossible.~700ish total reels to get all the prizes for this week? That’s so friggin ridiculous!

Dag nabbit Tiny Co… we’ve talked about this before, but yet AGAIN you’ve got another timed character unlock (that requires a prize further up the ladder than is comfortable) with no warning in the slightest when repairing the item s/he’s locked inside. I’m 100% positive they’ve done a warning before (can’t recall the event, think it was Valentines Day?), but it’s absolutely appalling to see them continue to slide through like this.

Argggg, are you kidding me? Just when I think t-Co can’t out what-the-duece themselves, they dig deep and find a new and creative way to duece me off….Was thinking of skipping slasher cat because it seemed it would take too long…now that my scream lvl somehow jumped up to make reels cost more popcorn before instantly becoming nearly worthless (roughly 60=2sodas and nets +2reels) as the popcorn exchange option disappeared without warning!!! I think the cat seems hopeless…I don’t even know about this week’s stuff but at first glance it just looks like a mess…we will see

You need more than 650 reels to get the stuff from phase 2. 650! It’s insane. I was working on getting slasher cat, but at this point I don’t even think I should get him because reels are so hard to get. How on earth am I going to get the 100 reels for slasher cat AND the more than 650 reels for phase 2 content all in a week. I’m sorry, LESS then a week because the second phase was delayed AS USUAL. This event is a complete mess. Plus I have like 4 characters that have to do 100 different takes and about 40 characters doing absolutely nothing. Seems impossible to advance in this one. The events have gotten drastically worse and worse to the point where they’re not even fun anymore. Which is a real shame Cuz I used to love this game.

I should have never clicked on phase 2 until I had all the movie reels I needed. They took away the option to get reels with just popcorn alone. Now it’s soda or soda AND popcorn which is going to take me longer since I have plenty of water balloons but no cannon balls. Phooey!

Not happy at all with the timed events. You can’t do any of them unless you have money to burn on clams.
Thanks for bumping me up an extra couple of scream levels. Now I have to collect more popcorn in order to get the 120 film reels I need……..Oh wait. No I don’t. I now have to collect frigging sodas too as I can’t use just popcorn anymore. And I can’t get them from normal tasks, I have to buy MORE clams to earn them.
I’ve wiped out dozens of bats and gotten dozens of rainbow pony stickers and ONE soda.
There is NO way I’m going to be able to save Patty as I’m still saving up reels to get the pumpkin tower and slasher cat, then I have to get another 6 skins before slasher bait Lois is even available.
Why give the same old characters the drop tasks? If I have to progress further through the game, I would need half a dozen Peter, Lois, Quagmire, Bonnie and Joes. What about all the other characters unlocked during previous events? I just level them up and put them in storage after the event finishes anyway.
On a technical note. I have a few characters that I can’t store anymore (Carter, Koolaid Man to name a couple) Now I have to give them 24 Hr tasks to get them out of the way.
Bad show, TinyCo, Bad show.

WTD is this sit and wait to do things crap!? First we should’ve waited to start Slasher Cat because of the timer (which you only knew of if you went to the Help & FAQ because that important info was nowhere on the game screen). Now I’ve already started Patty thinking it’s like every other event and not only do you need Slasher Bait Lois to complete Patty, she’s the second last effing item to unlock which will also start the Phase 2 timer!? The hell, TinyCo!? And Slasher Cat cost over $200 in clams and, unless I just didn’t notice, did NOT take into account the amount of reels you already had like every other unlock item does. And I’m kind of getting tired of actually buying premium characters that never do anything outside the event they’re from. Oooo, a couple characters from last Halloween help get 3D glasses. BFD! There’s been nothing worth buying with them other than quest required items! Events have been frustrating in the past but still fun. This time around is just poorly planned and screws those who play regularly while rewarding those who don’t.

A couple more things. I don’t understand why the increase in trade rates with higher scream levels. It’s not like the trade items get more plentiful as you level.
And on the subject of trades and trade rates, first trading popcorn on its own gets removed completely so I can only use popcorn in conjunction with soda. So 45 popcorn and 27 soda (at level 6) gets 27 reels instead of 25 soda for 10 reels. That is way too much for so little in return that there’s no point in collecting popcorn anymore once I’ve finished using what I have.

Somehow I got bumped to level 6 yesterday and then it was 85 popcorns to get 5 reels, when I was 8 away from slasher cat. So I ended up having to rush him. Now I see today I need 105 popcorn and 20 sodas for 5 reels? The goals are changing too fast so that I don’t feel like I’ll be able to keep up– and I play premium. I don’t feel compelled the buy any more clams at this point.

1350 gold to unlock an event character. what the deuce. make the premiums an option to buy, not an unobtainable prize for a freemium player.
We are in a horror movie game and none of the premium horror movie characters int eh game already are available for purchase or used?
The last event soured me and I only got Weird All as I wanted his album. Sitting on over 360 clams and having no desire to spend them is not what you want in a game.

WTD@ TinyCo removing 35 Popcorn for 5 Reels. I was 16 Reels away from getting the tower and Scratchy Cat and now with that gone its going to take forever to start Week 2 content.
TinyCo has F’D over this event in record time doing it in only 8 days. They change the Scream level making it hard to advance and then double down again by removing content you need to advance when updating to Week 2 content.

I’m not really liking week two content. Out of all the bats I cleared I only collected 1 soda. You need 27 plus 60 popcorn just for 12 reels. That’s a bit much, itll take me the whole event just to collect 27 sodas. Come on tinyco, not everyone can afford to pay to play at least make things a bit easier. Paying for characters for example Michael myers I understand, but at least make it more achievable for us non paying players to go further in these events.

I’m scared to click on anything now due to the fear of starting some timer that I won’t be able to complete the task in the given time 😦 killing bats appears to be a somewhat tricky process and does not yield hardly any soda considering the amount of work/skill involved. I clicked on 3 sets of bats repeatedly to freeze them and launched the garlic bomb as quickly as I could and all 3 sets of bats moved out of the cloud before the bomb hit. Hopefully the werewolf thing happens many times per day (since it yields more soda) otherwise it will take to the end of the event to get the rest of the items in the 2nd page of the booth. Anyone that waited to get the last two items on page 1 is going to be in for a long stressful week. It’s going to be very difficult to get reels as a Freemium player. The store is also filled with many helpful items to purchase with clams but I’ve already spent over 400 clams last week. Thinking I might just skip this event or possibly the game entirely. Not really that much fun anymore. This seems to be the progression of games/apps like this. Greed 😦 Even though we do not agree on some things…thank you Bunny for all of your hard work helping people out on this site. You should be paid or take some voluntary donations. I just installed the simpsons app that you have a Blog for. Maybe you will see me over there 😉 take care.

It’s unfortunate because it’s not your fault or this sites fault. For those of us that have stuck with this game over the long haul and actually have been willing to shell out some hard earned greenbacks, we’re now being punished and/or disrespected for our commitment. It’s so disgustingly apparent the greed that is at play here. I have no problem with TinyCo making money off us, but don’t insult us with these ridiculous drop rates and in-event changes that have pissed off the majority of players posting in the forums I’ve visited. Wow two free clams?! Way to make up for it. Sheesh…

What the deuce tiny Co? First you force me two levels up yesterday to make it even more impossible to collect enough reels for slasher cat…. Then, I finally get within 15 reels of slasher cat and you force me into the new content and now I need 27 sodas plus 60 Popcorn to get 10 movie reels?!? I really am starting to hate everything about this game and this event just may be the end for me. I’ve spent hundreds in clams since day one of this game, but it’s really not fun anymore. everything is a constant battle, stressed out struggling to to keep up with event after event and it’s just to the point where if you aren’t playing hourly 24/7 you just can’t keep up with the game. So over all the stress and the fortune I’ve spent on this game (upwards of $500 I reviewed my Google play purchases for the game recently.) this is supposed to be an enjoyable game and it started out that way, but around the time of last Halloween things got ugly and have been progressively worse as it goes. Boo!

Ridiculous. TinyCo is out of control. Another game I will quit playing as they attempt to force you into spending money to meet their ridiculous requirements to complete a quest. Done with this game. Thanks for the memories.

they don’t care. You’re wasting your time. These events have progressively gotten worse and worse. People have been complaining like this the last almost year worth of events and they have continued to make it harder and harder. Regardless of the feedback. Obviously people have gotten so addicted to this game that no matter how much they threaten to stop playing, they don’t. They cave to the unrealistic demands of the game.

I’m done with this game. Too much emphasis on buying, not earning items through game play. I spent some decent money on a game that promised when it launched that no money “would be required” Technically, I guess it’s true but the fact is you can’t progress without spending money and the items are so expensive relative to the value.

I do not begrudge Tiny Co setting up very difficult or event impossible challenges, as they are after all trying to make money on producing the game (which I am sure costs a fair amount of money to do so). Especially for things that are only nice to have as opposed to have to have (the slasher cat, getting death withing the 24 hour period etc)
However, I would advise that they could garner a little less ill will by not making somethings which seem so ridiculously expensive especially right in a row during an event. Putting these things at upwards of $50 a pop, just annoys people whereas a $10 – $15 price point would at least feel somewhat reasonable (not that I would likely spend that either.. but at least I would “feel” better about it.
Also, they should figure out a way to let people know that deployment is delayed. While I appreciate Bunny’s note that the countdown timer is just a reference point of about when the next phase will start, they are purposefully building anticipation and a sense of urgency in order to get you to spend money on clams for phase 1 items. If they are not going to meet it, especially by 12+ hours it would behoove them, IMHO, to come up with a clever/witty/funny way to indicate the delay in game instead of a “Complete this First” hourglass which makes everybody think something is broken rather than just understand there is a deployment delay. I think this would help eliminate panic, lots of support requests (which probably go unanswered), and reduce somewhat the annoyance factor….

WTD… So Meg’s friend is on a 6 Day timer! And you have to Slasher bait Lois to get megs friend! I haven’t even gotten slasher cat!! How am I supposed to finish this in six days!! There was no warning and this sucks so much because for the next seven hours I’m getting water balloons for popcorn which is useless until I have soda. Now I realize this is early in the week and there is the possibility that I can finish this in time but that seems highly unlikely at this point!! I am feeling good cause I have no real interest in this event at all. And it is giving me free time. INstead of checking every hour or so I check 3 maybe 4 times a day.
I am really losing interest in the Quest for Stuff. Finding out that Tapped OUt is so much better. They give you stuff to do, but don’t make it ridiculous. I mean, you need peter free to keep lois from getting attacked by the cat, but he’s required for quests or balloons. But those that get you balloons are required to get stuff for death. Blah blah.
I am now in the mode of this game where i work on unlocking outfits or characters. I do not do quest lines until the stuff is unlocked. I won’t do any challenges to get decorations that dont’ do jack. Heck, even if they had something in place that when you had decorations placed it would give you “points” and if you had X Amount of “points” your reward would be that the chances of getting items increases. Maybe an extra rare item becomes rare, rare becomes uncommon, uncommon becomes common and common becomes always….gives you an incentive rather than crafting junk that takes up space but does nothing else.

This comment is directed towards Tinyco. I’ve messaged them in game as well, and sent them some tweets. The cat timer was way out of line. I felt blindsided when I saw it. There’s no way without careful planning or clams in achieving that goal in 24 hours. I would have had to be lucky in reading it outside your game, or exploring the FAQ, to even find out about the timer. I really think you guys need to put in some kind of warning about it, or do a better job with an achievable timer.

I rushed slasher cat and got him, but I may have a seemingly easy question to answer. Are the pages going to expire like the last event? I know there is no timer to indicate this, but I was worried I would miss out on slasher cat; if I didn’t proceed in ample time before phase 2 was released.

TinyCo totally ***** us over with the change in the Scream Levels. I was working on unlocking Slasher Cat, with only 24 hours to collect enough Film Reels it would have been really tough but not impossible to do it collecting 600 popcorn (30 popcorns = 5 reels; so 100 reels = 600 popcorn), but changing our Scream Level made the requirement jump to 900 popcorn (now 45 popcorn = 5 reels; 100 reels = 900 popcorn). Collecting 900 popcorn in 24 hours is impossible even with every character creating the water balloons. I was half-way through collecting the 600 when the change happened. Now the timer on Slasher Cat is gone and I’m pissed. I’ve written to them twice (once when the change happened, and again this morning) within the game, but of course THEY NEVER REPLY. If you do get a reply it’s 5 weeks later when the event is over. It’s a total waste of time writing to TinyCo, so I don’t know why you recommend it. I’m so close to deleting this game and giving up on anything ever made by TinyCo. I’m pissed and I let them know this. I also changed my review of the game to 1 star. They royally messed up this event.

600 popcorn in 24 hours was impossible too, so you didn’t get screwed.
You get 240 max per day from killing nuns (10 per nun, 1 nun per hour) which would mean you’d need 360 from Peter clearing slasher cat and at 15 a pop that would be once an hour for those 24 hours.
Not happening.

I agree with most, that we really got screwed with the change in SP level requirements. I realize that new concession items are to come and will hopefully be at least as easy to get as popcorn was during scream level 1, but until Phase 2 does eventually go live, we are moving so slowly now because reels are costing so much popcorn.
If they had waited until Phase 2 in order to drastically change the requirements, I could have collected enough reels based on the low popcorn count to get the Pumpkin Tower and Slasher Cat. Gameplay just seems too slow now, especially since Phase 2 has been so drastically delayed.

WHAT THE DEUCE!? I am having trouble with getting the 2nd movie on family guy quest for stuff. Here’s the scenario: I’m level scream level 7, I got all my nuns within 2 days and I saw the hour glass, so I was wondering what I haven’t done yet.

I was half way on scream 3 level and this morning it says I’m now level 4, completed the 3-4 scream task and then put me on the movie projection booth and started the slasher cat count down when I have been waiting to get 100 reels before I click on it again, says I’m lvl 4 so popcorn increase to 45 but when I select the movie screen it says I need to be lvl 4 – seems to have started when that movie screen timer ended – waiting on them to reply

I enjoy getting new characters for the game but there’s no way I’m going to get 100 film reels for the Slasher Cat in 24 hours. Both Slasher Cat and Death cost over 1200 clams each if you want to unlock them that way. Not that I would but where are they getting these ridiculous pricing schemes. I dread what else I’m going to miss out on throughout this event.

I’m sorry, but the notice about slasher cat having a timer being in the FAQ is ridiculous. No one reads that FAQ unless they experience problems. If there’s a timed game mechanic for a projection booth item, it should be in the projection booth description ONLY. I was traveling and had no idea about the timer until after I had already placed the pumpkin tower. So, unlocking that character was pretty much impossible for me since I had no film reels saved up. And earning 20 reels in 24 hours is impossible.

How hard can it be to create a fully working event with no problems and that can be done by Freeium users without the need at staying up at night and that dont have to be fixed during the event?
These things are supposed to be made months in advance so why do we always get last minute fixes during the event?
Just look at this mess we already got…
First we had 4 characters that could get water balloons with a 5 hour task.
Then we got Deaths house and the possibility to unlock Death. And then they wave in our face that if we unlock him in less than 24 hours, he will help us with getting our sacred Water Balloons… Sounds nice, right?
WRONG!
Lets see what tasks thats required to unlock him…
Have Slasher Bait Peter Be Brutally Murdered (X3): 8hrs. – Even if we did a perfect switch at the same moment Peter finish this, we would still be a few second too late for doing it in 24 hours.
8 Scythes (Extra Rare): Slasher Cat (Movie Projection Booth) OR Lois Teach Piano OR Quagmire Photocopy Private Parts OR Bonnie Twerk It. – Quagmire and Bonnie is needed to get water balloons so we can get film reels so we can unlock more stuff that raises our Scream Level. The Slasher Cat requires 3 other items to be unlocked first, AND it is timed so you need to save up 120 film reels before placing the pumpkin tower, which requires popcorn so we cant spare Bonnie or Quagmire. And Lois dont have the time to unlock 8 in 24 hours, even if they always dropped.
18 Sandals (Uncommon): Peter Dig Through Attic OR Bruce Fret About Something OR House of Masks. – Peter is needed for the water balloons AND to die 3 times. Bruce will not be able to get 18 in time. Heck, Ive got more Extra Rare Scythes with Lois than what I got these uncommon sandals! And House of Mask is a premium item.

…yeah, impossible to unlock Death in 24 hours without throwing money at your screen.
And what did they do afterward?
They gave Joe the ability to create water balloons and lowered the time to 4 hours. It really felt like they gave us the finger.
And the Scream Levels… First they were not collected when you hit the Collect All Money button, so you got behind. Then it was discovered that Freeium users was too much left behind (which was easy to guess on the planning stage with basic math), so they adjusted the levels. Sounds good?
WRONG!
Now it requires more popcorn to get those 120 film reels, which takes longer time which makes us get even more behind.
And as a nice bonus, they once again failed at launching the second event when the first one ended. Which means that we should have had more ways of getting popcorn and film reels now, but nooooo.
And why does all the tasks fall on the same characters all the time?
I mean, will we send Peter to get water balloons so we can get film reels faster or trying to do one of two different things trying to unlock Death?
Shall we send Quagmire to try getting some event currency, get more water balloons or trying to unlock Death?
Shall we send Lois to some quests that may give us bonuses for Scream Levels and maybe some other items, or trying to unlock Death?
Why not spread out these tasks?
We have had so many events by now so they should know these things by now instead of forcing us to wake up in the middle of the night if we dont want to spend cash or fall behind too much.

Worst planning ever! And for every event too! Consistently bad customer service with equally bad customer loyalty incentive. Same, tired old game model as well. I wish TinyCo would make an event that is mathematically feasible, uses characters logically associated with the plot and don’t require the same character to have all the responsibility for earning items or completing tasks. Let us play and enjoy the game instead of running us ragged on stress leaving us with characters and decos that have no function for the “stuff” we quest.

Who’s the braniac that decided to add goals that are mathematically impossible to finish? “You only have 24 hours to get the cat so save up for a couple days before you start it.” THAT would have been nice to know instead of “Oh, you had enough reels to buy an item so you foolishly bought that item? Too bad for you.”

WTD i totally screwed up the weekly challenges already! missed the first one by only needing a few more UnHoly Nuns…i played as much as i could and STILL could not beat this first week’s challenge. i’m seriously so disappointed 😞👎👊
