Hey there Slashers!
Many times with the New Events I see PANIC. Mostly due to everything is new and no one knows just yet how to get the hang of what is going on. Well, just as usual, here to help in anyway I can with some Basic 101 and detailed breakdown of HOW TO on the aspects of the Game Play.
For this post, I will be diving into just where in the Game you can get Scream Points to help you with your Scream Point Levels.
The Scream Points will be the Main Source taking us through each week’s Phase Updates. If you are a bit behind, do not worry too much. Wait and see how it plays out. Sometimes a day behind can be good so you can bypass any glitches, issues, and get a good idea of what is to come before YOU trigger it.
That being said, let’s look at WHERE we are going to get all our Scream Points from.
BUILDINGS
With the Buildings dropped into our games, they will help us get some Scream Points too. Here are the current payouts for them…

For 8hrs, you can collect 8 Scream Points a day if you collect at least 2 times.
If you do decide to go Premium, you can also earn up to an additional 222 Scream Points just for placing the 3 locations.

For 6hrs, you can collect 6 Scream Points a day if you collect at least 3 times
For 8hrs, you can collect 4 
Scream Points a day if you collect at least 2 times
If you place just the Quahog Moviehouse to start the Event and then Place Death’s Mom’s House, you’ll have 106 Scream Points.
DECORATIONS
Purchasing Decorations with your earned 3D Glasses will also help out to earn Scream Points for the Event by just placing them down once purchased. Let’s take a look…

These can add up really fast to your totals depending how often you send Quagmire to get the 3D Glasses (1/2hrs) and collect from the Quahog Moviehouse (5/24hrs).
QUESTLINES
With several Questlines running in our games, you have the option to earn even more Scream Points upon completing each part of them. Now these are fairly low, you can wait on completing many Questlines, some are for things you may not get, but I just wanted you to know they are there.

HOW MANY DO I NEED?
UPDATE 10/8: The Scream Level Requirements have now been changed. I will be updating the post with the NEW Scream Points needed for each level once I confirm them all.
Here are the current amounts for each Scream Point Level. This may change or more options added, but this is what is there as of this post.
Scream Point Level 2: 20 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 3: 270 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 4: 620 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 5: 1070 Scream Points
Scream Point Level 6: 1620 Scream Points
If you already Placed the Movie House and Death’s Mom’s House, you should have at LEAST 106 Scream Points and be in Level 2, on your way to Level 3. That is very very very very basic earning. Not including daily collections, Questlines, or Decorations placed.
For now, most your Scream Points will come from the Buildings and Decorations. Any concerns of course address to TinyCo. I will be putting up a Poll later to see where you are too on the Scream Points, so keep an eye out for it.
Basically… DO NOT PANIC!!! It seems it works out when the Update hits that many still find ways to move up and forward.
There you have it. An overall idea of WHERE to get all those Scream Points from for the Game Levels.

Reach out to them from the new game you linked. Provide them with as much detail and info on the other game as you can. It may take just a bit depending on Queue in front of you, but they can help. 🙂

I’m so confused my scream lvl is suddenly lvl 5 slasher cat as been locked and I even can’t start the next movie just keeps saying “lvl 4, start this first”. Eek

I was saving for slasher cat and got him a bit earlier today. Later I was trying to exchange popcorn in case I needed more movies for the latest update when I saw a problem. Even though my screen still said I was a level 4, the window for exchanges said it was now 80 popcorn per 5 movies like a level 6. Tinyco said they lowered the amount of point needed to level up so unfortunately I magically jumped from level 4 to 6 without collecting anything extra. Good thing I got slasher cat earlier! I feel really bad for those of you in my situation still trying to save up.

I’m trying to save up for Slasher Cat like everybody. I’m on Scream Level 3 at 258/350 and have a trade rate of 35 popcorn. I have 34/100 Movie Reels so far for Slasher Cat.
Would you recommend going up in Scream Level 4 to get the new content since there’s more concessions coming that can earn Movie Reels I need? I wish I could’ve been farther by now without spending Clams.

I just noticed the update to the levels. Like many others, my plan to collect and exchange when having enough for slasher cat backfired. My question is when the update goes live and we have to click the screen for the next movie will the 24hrs for Slasher Cat start? I haven’t placed the pumpkin tower yet.

So if not bought…no worries. If bought… go into Phase 2 carefully.

I am not even close to level 4. I have everything except slasher cat and I am still 80 points. away. I am not sure if I received the extra retroactive points that were mentioned.
I even earned the 1st weeks award.

I went up to level 5 today; now the cleaver in the upper right corner has a 7 with the number needed and now I need 80 buckets to get the 5 reels, a couple of hours ago it said I needed 60 buckets. Whet gives?

How can it be a good thing for me when I have been on level 4 for the last 24 hours, and working towards slasher cat with 64/100 reels and 40/45 popcorn and now I’m on 40/80 popcorn. I need to collect 600 popcorn now instead of 285 – that’s twice as many

Wtd? Yesterday I was at 338 scream points, now I have 238 scream points?!? I also realized yesterday I needed to have 650 for level 4 and now it’s 350 for level 4. ( I’m on level 3)

I do not like how they tripled the scream point causing me to go from level 4 to level 6 when I was trying to work on getting reels for slasher cat. Went from 45 popcorns to 80 popcorns for reels. Tinyco should have at least double the popcorn drop. Smh

So I see tiny Co bumped us all up to level four today so we would all get the new content the day it came out. I get this was highly requested but I’m bummbed. I was fine with playing at the pace it was set b4 and had a strategy of collecting as many reels while the price was low. Tho I’m sure this will b good for all of us that can’t afford to play with clams. Still feels weird.

Um, just logged into my game and checked my scream level, I’ve got 399 of 350. It still lists me at level 3 and I get 5 reels for 35 popcorn still so I’m hoping that it is a glitch, but they might be drastically lowering the requirements for scream levels real soon.

So I was almost to level 4.. Hadn’t placed Death’s Mom’s House yet.. Was saving reels so I could place everything including Slasher Cat.. Decided to bite the bullet w new content hitting tonight.. I place everything except for Pumpkin Tower and SC.. As I need 71 more frickin’ reels for both of them.. I shot up to almost Scream Level 6.. I did have to force close and restart my 5s for everything to register and catch up w itself.. But I’m also on overload w photo content on my phone.

Did they do something to retroactively change our scream points? I was halfway to lvl 4 but when I logged in it said I was halfway to lvl 5 and completed quests. It says lvl 4 when I bring up the main event screen but only lvl 3 on the game play area.

I just logged in and went from Scream level 3 all the way to level 5. I know I didn’t have enough scream points to make that jump on my own. I was at 3xx now at 550? My onscreen counter said 3 and when I selected the counter the event page said I have 550. I logged out then back in and my counter says level 5. Somehow I got boosted when I vacuumed. Anyone lese have this experience?

I just went in to do my hourly collection of stuff. Last hour I was at level 3 with 471 scream points. When opening the app, it moved me up to level 4 and now shows the 500 scream points moves you to level 5. I guess that good, they’ve dropped the requirement to move on tonight. I’m saving up movie reels to get the cat, I have 34. I see posts here that make me think I need to finish him before the movie screen upgrade tonight. Is that true? know he is timed, I haven’t touched the projection booth since placing the pumpkin tower last night. I don’t want to go look at it as it will start the 24 hour timer, I don’t remember needing to complete him before the next update and I’m not ready with the movie reels yet. Do I have to finish the cat before 6pm EST tonight or can I hold off the screen change until I’m done? Thank you so much for knowing how all this works and taking the time to document everything. I don’t know how we would get by without your hard work.

And how on earth are you “screwed” with another 4 items in Concessions that will come into play to exchange and Reels being here the entire Event? You know, those other 4 in the Concessions booth listing as item for reels exchange. Next one may come faster and be easier to you then popcorn. 😉

Yes there may be more stuff coming for the concession stand that earns more popcorn and such but still. And what if we need to unlock SC before we can more on to the new items for this weeks. A lot of people are going to get really far behind. It’s nice they made it easier to level up but they should have adjusted the amounts of popcorn needed per 5 reels as well.

I opened my game to a dialogue box between Meg and Chris. I was on level 3 with 200 points to reach level 4. I am suddenly on level 5.
And need 60 popcorns to make one reel, not 35.

Ok thats great 🙂 As usual i feel so dump after panicking for 2 straight days lol. I was going to get slasher cat today but it seems i will get him tomorrow becouse the popcorn exchange price changed also. Thats just a little setback though. This is really an awesome event so far 😀

Sucks they did it this way. I was trying to purposely stay at a lower level to get movie reels easier and now I’ve gone from level 3 to 5 instantly. Now it’s gonna those forever to get Murder Cat. Would of had him this even but now sits gonna take at least another day.

Has anyone else had their scream points total and target revised?
I was on 337 when I bought bat colony and earned 26 scream points.
337 + 26 in TinyCo world is apparently 257!!!!!!!
The target for the next level . Four . Has also reduced to 350????
I have messaged TinyCo in game to see what they are playing at.
They appear to be moving the goalposts mid event. Is it a favourable change yet? I don’t know.

Happened to me too. Had 327 scream points got 6 from cat cave. New total 239. New target to level up 350. Sent TinyCo in game message. Noticed that the progress bar didn’t move. So I’m guessing that they adjusted the scream points to reflect the same percentage of total that I previously had. I hope I’m making sense with my assumption.

Bunny, Not sure if bug or TinyCo changed the Scream needed to level up but I went from Lv3 at 569 to Lv5 at 569. I been logging on and off all day. This time around (like 2 mins before typing this) I got on and next thing I know I am completing the quests to get to Lv4 & 5.
Note: It’s now stating 750 is needed for Lv6 instead of 1620.

If we’re sure we’re not going to get the Slasher Cat, is there any more point in collecting popcorn and reels?

YES! If you look at the game, the Reels have a Counter right in your game screen… ie… they will be in use the ENTIRE Event. The only change is if you look in concessions, you will have a mix of MORE items you can trade for Reels other than popcorn. Each hitting as the Event goes on. So Reels will continue to be important.
