Hey there Clammers!
I wanted to touch really quickly on the Weekly Challenges that have already hit our games and the now Final Weekly Challenge that just launched.
Remember these are OPTIONAL. You do not have to do them, some of you will not even see them as these are considered “PREMIUM” Challenges. They will be very… well… Challenging and depending on where you are in the game or who you have, Clams may be required to complete them all. Keep in mind you are doing this at your own will. Also, this is a helpful post so if you plan on making comments that will NOT help other Players with these Challenges, then seek the appropriate post to put your comment on. 🙂
Let’s dive into the Weekly Challenges.
Each one of these Challenges were timed for 48hrs to complete. If you missed even one, then you would not get the Grand Prize.
CHALLENGE 1- DRUMMIN’ TEDDY
The Teddy Bear Drummer Challenge
Santa Starts
Attack Santa’s Village 2X- 4hrs. All you have to do is start the Battle for it to count
Attack the Broken Toy Camp 5X- 6hrs each. All you have to do is start the Battle for it to count
Have Santa Gorge on Cookies 2X- 8hrs each. Try to get this out of the way while waiting for Unleaded Egg Nog.
Have Christmas Camo Peter Skewer the Enemy 2X- 4hrs each. Try to get this out of the way between Battles.
REWARD: 1 Teddy Bear Drummer & 10 Silver Bells
Teddy Bear Drummer (Building): Sits on a 3×3 base, Earns $60 & 130xp every 6hrs, Drops 10 Silver Bells.
CHALLENGE 2- CURTIS THE DOG
The Christmas Curtis Challenge
Santa Starts
Attack the Broken Toy Camp 3X: 6hrs. This is just starting an Attack
Attack the Fake Xmas Tree Fort 4X: 3hrs. This is just starting an Attack
Have Sarah Connor Clear 5 Robotic Mistfit Toys: 1hr each. These spawn 2 about every 4hrs in my game and ONLY allow two MAX in your town at a time
Have Kevin Swanson Go through the Drill 3X: 6hrs each
REWARD: 1 Curtis the Gog & 2 Presents
Curtis the Dog (Walking Decoration): You will find him in your Inventory Storage. Once you pull him out, he will wander the streets with the rest of your Quahog Characters and other Walking Decorations.
CHALLENGE 3- NEW YEAR’S SEAL
The New Year’s Baby Seal Challenge
Santa Starts
Attack Santa’s Bakery 4X: 7hrs. This is just starting an Attack
Attack the Fake Tree Farm 10X: 3hrs. This is just starting an Attack
Attack the Broken Toy Camp 5X: 6hrs. This is just starting an Attack
Attack Santa’s Village 8X: 4hrs. This is just starting an Attack
REWARD: 1 New Year’s Seal & 10 Silver Bells
New Year’s Seal: (Mine disappeared from my game before I could pull it out of Inventory, will update when I can verify the specifics on it).
Now for the NEW FINAL CHALLENGE that just hit our games
CHALLENGE 4- HOLIDAY REINDEER
The Holiday Reindeer Challenge
Santa Starts
Clear 16 Misfit Toys– 1hr Task Requires Sarah. Spawn about every 3-4hrs 4-6hrs, 2 at the most
Have Snake Plissken Tame the Mullet (x4)– 8hrs each
Have Veteran Herbert Fight Olden Style (x5)– 6hrs each
Attack Santa’s Workshop (x6)– 5hrs each. This is essentially just starting an Attack with any amount of Characters/Strength
Completion Reward: 1 Holiday Reindeer
(As this will take a bit to get the Spawns for Misfit Toys, I will update it when I am done)
GRAND PRIZE
The Grand Prize for completing ALL of the Weekly 4 Challenges is the Christmas Santa Kitty. I will verify the info for it once I complete the 4th Challenge. If it is anything like all the other “kitty’s” launched into the game, it will be a Walking Decoration.
There you have it. 4 Weekly Challenges and a Grand Prize. SANTA KITTY!

Family Guy Addicts 
To sum up (from my own experience and other comments):
1. Holiday Cat is a static decoration (doesn’t move or animate). Hopefully that changes at some point?
2. You need Santa free to get the task to claim the final prize.
3. If you try this in the North Pole, the glitch happens again where your game freezes up and you can do nothing other than acquire as many cats as you tap the button, before force-quitting the game. (So if you want the “correct” experience, make sure you’re in Quahog before tapping Santa.)
4. With your infinite cat army, you can now take over the world. (Or maybe that’s just me.)

I agree hopefully they make the Kitten move, after two sad static objects at least the award could be better. 🙂

My game wasn’t triggering the Santa Kitten either, even with Santa free. Then, while double-checking my inventory, I realized Curtis the Dog was in storage; pulled him out into my game and poof, Santa got the task “!” over his head and Santa Kitty unlocked.
Can anyone else confirm that pulling out all four challenge rewards (while Santa is free) resolves the Santa Kitty issue?

I figured out how to get the Santa Kitten. When you complete the fourth challenge make sure Santa is free. He will tigger getting the Kitten.

When do you get awarded the cat? I complete all the challenges but didn’t get given the cat.
All my characters are on task, could this be why? Who needs to be free?

Looks like there is a glitch when you come to collect the kitty, you have to have santa free to collect him, but when you click collect it doesn’t disappear so you end up with as many kitty’s as you want as well as 5 presents.
The only way out of it is to close the game.

Completed all four challenges and didn’t get the Santa kitten.
A day or so after getting Curtis from the second challenge he dissapeared from my town so I think this might have caused the issue because my challenge page shows that Ive completed them all.
Sent a message to TinyCo hoping they can help. 😦

He was and I clicked on him and it said completed and when I clicked confirm nothing happened. Tried clicking a couple of times and it would not leave that screen. Had to force close. And santa no longer has an exclamation point over his jead. Messaged tiny co but no response.

I had the same problem:/ I spent clams so I could get Santa cat and I sent a message. They told me they couldn’t help me:( I’m really upset with the event:/

Many stating they had this “issue” went to Quahog, to their Menu, to Inventory, then to the Decorations Tab, and not only one but SEVERAL Kitty’s were in there .
Did you check everywhere in there? Including the “All” tab?

I have completed all the weekly challenges and got all the prizes but it hasn’t given me the grand prize?? Does anyone know why this is? Everything is ticked off and I have them all in my inventory but the Grand prize is nowhere to be seen. I have wrote to Tinyco about this. Has this happened to anyone else?

So I did wind up getting the Holiday Cat, apparently Santa had to be free to announce it. Oh, and not just one, but 12! But after all the hard work, of completing all the other challenges, all you get is a tiny little cat statue, just like the new year seal. What a waste of time and effort to gather all the materials and complete all the other challenges for this. At least if it wasn’t going to be movable, it could have been as big as the teddy bear! When I attempted to collect the santa kitty by hitting the “collect item” button it malfunctioned and the game froze. It did not place the item in my game. Contacted tinyco. Just wanted to see if anyone had a similar issue.

I just completed the reindeer challenge, and completed all of the prior ones, but got no Santa Kitty.

Seeing others comment on it. Sent in a report already. Still waiting response. Double check your Inventory in the “Decorations” Tab in the meantime.

Once you click on collect item from santa they are located in your inventory under decorations and you have to be quahog to see them.

Nope, wasn’t there. I’ve been playing long enough to check that first :). The notice to claim it did eventually show up, and then I got 20 of them. 😅

I think my misfit toys were coming faster than 4 – 6 hours. I got Kitty and sad to say it isn’ t animated. I have the deer, kitty and seal surrounding my “extra ” Jerome. Yah, he’s still there in my Quohog, even those “real” Jerome is up at the North Pole putting up the tree at the Inn.

Well, with the increased spawn rate, as well as the number of toys that spawn each time, I was able to complete the challenge. I got the reindeer, but no kitty!! I searched through the inventory, both in the north pole and quahog, to no avail. Sent an in game message, but was curious if I was the only one missing the kitty.

Looks like they have increased the misfits to 3 at one time so should be easier to complete.

Apparently they heard some of the complaints about the spawn rate for the challenge, because they have been coming fast and furious in my game. When I checked in there were 3 of the misfit toys, and by the time I was on the third one, two more had spawned! I will end up with the kitty after all at this rate!

Thanks Bunny for going to bat once again (e.g. Robotic Toys). Will see if Kitty is available once Santa is free. Doesn’t sound very exciting if not animated but for me it was more about the challenge so all is good. Hope you’re feeling better!!!

If you put a small strip of road in the santa area then all the characters are attracted to it making it easier to find the robotic misfit toys.

It is easy to find them by just tapping on “GO” on the task itself. Then it also tells you if there is even any in there.

After curtis the dogs weekly challenge, they just stopped for me. I cannot seem to get them to trigger. I have contacted tinyco, but so far no reply, as I do realize they are slammed with issues.

The 4th Challenge never spawned for me. Then I noticed you had to have passed a certain quest line. I am thinking that was Santa’s little helper #4. Problem for me is that regardless of how far I get in the game I can never defeat the broken toy camp. I think I defeated it 2x and I am on level 11! LOL
Oh and my dumb seal was in inventory. Sigh.
Were these two related?

I’d say curtis…then make sure you’re in Phase 5 fully

One good thing about the challenges is that they do delay if you haven’t reached the appropriate phase yet — eg. if you haven’t unlocked the Village district yet then you won’t get the 3rd challenge no matter what the time is. But the downside of this is that it pops the instant that you unlock the district, so you have to be really careful who you tap until you can get the presents and items together to be able to start attacking, or you’ll be at quite a time disadvantage.
(It seems like sending a character to attack will hide their quest ! and give you a bit more breathing room to avoid starting the challenge timer, but sending them on a regular task does not.)
Having said that, the challenges seem a bit more achievable this time around. But that could partly be because I’m still on holiday and so can check into the game more frequently than usual.

Wow…not a single one of these challenges has appeared in my game, and aside from being briefly behind in order to save up for Lyle, I’ve been basically caught up on the quests and such. That’s…troubling.

Nothing as of yet on Extensions… those are really tricky. With everything planned out months in advance, to move one thing causing a domino effect of everything else that was set to happen after it. If it is possible and IF they decide they can fully support it… then they might. All we can do is make the request from our games. Final decision is up to them.

This is seriously the last event? No Super Elf? No use for 1,000s of presents? No good surprises for us to maximize medals? Or just the last weekly challenge? Hoping for something good so this event ends with a bang instead of whimper!

I guess everybody within TinyCo got tired of all the glitches so they decided to pull out and put an end to the misery 😉
To be fair though I liked the event, I didn’t have any major glitches myself and for the 60 clams that we got in compensation I can buy spy Brian once I can’t earn any more spy watches, so overall I managed to get all the important stuff – characters and skins 🙂

Everything seems manageable except the 16 Misfit Toys and their spawn rate and how many are out at a time.

I tried using clams to speed the task up for the last two that spawned thinking the spawning time would move up two hours….seems like the original time they would have spawned stuck and was pointless to use clams

Personally, I sped up the misfit toys with clams till there were no more beyond the one she was currently fighting… Was working so I could only update every 2 hrs or so and always seemed to have a misfit toy available on those breaks…

It seems to be taking a lot longer then 3-4 hrs for the misfit toys to spawn. I’ve only had 4 since the timer started (1am) this morning. Do u think I would/should put Sarah on a battle while I’m waiting? It’s just I need to level up the hovva to 15 for the medal task but I need all 3 characters to get anything from the battle 🤔 thank you.

When do the misfit toys spawn from, is it as soon as you clear one as I know you can only have 2 in your town at one time. It is just frustrating waiting for them to appear

Missed the first one because of it being impossible so haven’t even tried with the rest. Actually made the event a lot less stressful since I didn’t have to divert characters/attacks.

I’m not able to make it to phase 5 and unlock new Brian skin, I hope TinyCo extends another week because of the missing characters incident made me delay a lot!
I don’t see the challenges so I assume its triggered after one of the quest?

The Challenges usually only appear for “Premium” Players as with these Challenges there is usually a good possibility that Clams will need to be spent to complete them. Not to mention you need to be a certain points and levels of game play.

How often do the Robotic Misfit Toys appear? I have not seen any of them in hours and need to clear 16 of them? Not sure if that will be possible now.

I am curious as to how someone can have the Santa Kitty already. The Misfit Toy Spawns can’t be sped up. You can only get two at a time… so… curiouser and curiouser on that one. Just sayin. 😉

He had an option to buy $10 of clams, get Santa free and get Holiday Cat. His old phone died during the start of the event and he just got a new phone afew days ago so he was extremely far behind and that was an option for him

Most people put their findings in the comments. I did not want to waste the Clams on it as it is not critical and a side questline. My Clams are better spent elsewhere. 😉

The New Year’s Seal is tiny and does nothing. On a random note, I do love the fluffy snow globe! (He is sitting next to the seal, so I guess it was not that random! LOL)
