Where The Hell?… Raid to the North Pole Decorations

Note From Bunny: This post was brought to you by the generous help of one of our Addicts Helpers! Thanks!!

In this lil game of ours, it is easy to get lost and so focused into collecting items or unlocking characters that we tend to forget the lil things that make the game what it is. Like Where the HELL did these items come from and why are they in our games?

Well I am here to do just that for you. Let’s take a look at the Family Guy Series and find out just Where The HELL Did That Come From?

Raid to the North Pole Icon

In this post, I will be covering the origin of some of the decorations brought into our little games with the Raid to the North Pole (Christmas 2015) event. Why are they in our games? When did they show up in the Family Guy series? Why is Brian a Christmas cookie?! Let’s take a look at the TV episodes to find out.

Season 9, Episode 7: Road to the North Pole
Last year, Bunny wrote a great post on this episode (which you can read HERE) during the Christmas 2014 event (Miracle on Spooner Street), which runs through the plot and covers a bunch of stuff introduced to the game during the first Christmas event.

Lotty also covered this episode in her Christmas speculations, just before the Raid to the North Pole event began, which you can read HERE. After re-reading Lotty’s post towards the end of the event, it’s spooky how accurate her speculations were, including a separate event area, Team Santa, battles, a robot built by Stewie, a snowball catapult and Nutcracker Stewie… Lotty must be some sort of magician or something.

Anyway, I’ll just point out the items I recognized from the game in the episode, beginning with the opening credits. One of the images shows the Snowball Catapult…

… and another shows the Christmas Cookie Brian.

After Ron MacFarlane’s introduction and the opening musical number (“All I Really Want for Christmas”), Brian and Stewie are at the Quahog Mall to visit Santa. Unfortunately, there’s a long waiting line, around which is the “Meet Santa” Sign, Snowjack-in-the-Box and Drummin’ Teddy (the prize for completing the first challenge in our games).

By the time Stewie and Brian reach the front of the queue, Santa has decided to call it a day and walks off. Stewie is determined to meet Santa at the North Pole (and then kill him), but to avoid having to go to the North Pole, Brian takes him to Santa’s Village in Burrillville, Rhode Island.

For a moment, Stewie falls for it, before little hints start to suggest that they may not be at the real North Pole, like the Sad Goat Petting Zoo (from the Roastin’ Chestnuts Gift Box). Also, the background buildings in this Santa’s Village look a bit like run-down versions of those from the Santa’s Village in our games…

Eventually, Brian and Stewie arrive at the real North Pole, where they find an overworked and ill Santa, toxic waste, mutant elves and wild reindeer with a bloodlust for elf flesh. After offering to deliver the presents for Santa, Brian and Stewie crash land the sleigh at the first house, resulting in the reindeer getting caught in a tree and eating each other… Luckily, when they need to leave quickly after essentially carrying out a home invasion, Stewie has made a few modifications, resulting in the rocket sleigh that we ‘use’ in our games to get to and from the North Pole.

The rest of the episode then sees Santa restored back to health, after Brian makes an appeal for everyone to ask for just one present each year. Meg gets a hat, Chris gets a bunny (not THE Bunny), Lois gets a bag of groceries, Brian gets booze, Stewie gets a laser gun, and Peter gets a “Charles in Charge” lunchbox… All’s well that ends well.

… Ron MacFarlane: “… [burp]…” (I guess that joke works better with sound…)

There you have it, several items from a double-length episode have made their way into our little games.

What do you think of them? Which items have you got? Did you recognise them? Any that I’ve missed (I’m sure there are many)? Did you get the Sad Goat Petting Zoo from the Roastin’ Chestnuts Gift Box? Enjoy the episode? Enjoy the event overall? Favourite lyrics from the songs? Let us know your thoughts in the comments below.

  1. God has been unlocked now. Claim your God under the leaderboard collective prizes before it’s too late.

  2. Loved this thanks! Totally forgot where all those came from. Also super hard to miss considering it’s just the opening credits. Good catch.

  3. I only unlocked kevin few days ago so I know I wont finish…will we keep any decorations from the north pole? do they get deleted or if I want to keep would I have to move them to my normal quahog first?

  4. Is it just mine or are the Gingerbread Man Prototype and the Nutcracker Prototype not animated? Also, my Elf prototype is animated but really tiny compared to the others.

  5. I finished the last week quest and received the Christmas deer. I did not get the grand prize of the Christmas cat. Anyone else have a problem with this. It is not in either inventory.

  6. I wish that ranks 1000 and below got Chuggs, not just 1000-5000. I’m not on the leaderboard at all, so I won’t get anything.

    • I wouldn’t worry about the “Top” tiers. Keep going for GOD, we all can get those Community Prizes. 🙂

Leave the top spots for those that like to “waste” 1000’s of Clams. It isn’t worth that cost for one or two characters. Heck, I see people complain when a Character costs 200 Clams.

      • Got God in my game today! Not sure if that means everyone’s got him or whether the leader boards are split into groups again?! Either way I was pretty excited to see the 40 billion tick over 🙂

      • I’m currently somewhere between place 1,500 and 2,000 and haven’t spent a single penny on the game. Really looking forward to Chuggs after all the hard work and now that we have God, the two hopefully are a nice combo 🙂

        • I’m freemium too and suddenly found myself in the running for God’s roommate this morning (last day of the event). The leaderboard hasn’t refreshed in hours, though, and hasn’t registered my current total (or anybody else’s, I assume) so have no idea if I still exist on the leaderboard. I can always hope that everybody else has lost interest while I’m still blasting away at Santa’s buildings…. I can pick up medals from the buildings as they are destroyed, rather than waiting for the vehicle to be finished, so I’ll keep sending the troops out even if they won’t finish by the end of the event. Fortunately I finished my big job deadline yesterday afternoon so I can now focus on the really important stuff…. Wish there was something to buy with the more than 3000 presents I have stockpiled, though.
