Hey there Clammers!
It is that time of year when some of the many Characters/Costumes we have had a chance at getting over time are being brought back into our games for those that missed them or a chance at getting them again.
These will be a mix of “Earn Materials”, “Clam Buy” and “Clam Mystery Box” Characters/Costumes, so just keep an eye out for where the one is that you are interested in.
“BEST OF 2015” WILL RUN UNTIL JANUARY 14th @ 3PM PACIFIC

Best of 2015 Volume 1 Mystery Box: 125 Clams. Here is the list of Characters/Costumes you can get a “Chance” at in this Mystery Box.
***Keep in mind what you get will depend on who you already have live in your game as well as who you have already unlocked in the Districts. These are also a “Chance” Mystery Box, so your results will vary on what you get out of it. Of course the more you already have live in your game, the less you will have in the Mystery Box and a better chance at getting them. No repeats of course.***

As part of the Best Of 2015 Mini Event, you can also have the Chance to get Don Corleone. Per the information, if you get Greased Up Deaf Guy, Detective Scrotes, and Death’s Mom… you can get a chance to earn him. More information once I see it live in the game.
Since I already had the 3 Characters in my game, Peter triggered the Quest for it.

***I see others stating it is telling you to get him again. I have already messaged in to TinyCo, but you will need to message them too as he was in the TOP Leaderboard Prize awards from the Mobsters Event and they are the only ones that can verify placement of Players from the Leaderboards.
TinyCo did report back that they will work on the issue with those that won him showing him locked. So hang in there and I will update if I hear anything more back. Patch most likely tomorrow on it.
***UPDATE 1/8/16: In order to unlock Don Corleone, a trigger will hit to get the items needed for him with a 3 DAY TIMER! The timer task will NOT appear until you get the 3 Characters per Tinyco.

They were showing Christmas item images but being patched if not already fixed. Should still count.

A few side notes I’m seeing…
Santa’s Workshop can’t be moved: They’re working on it. It’s not priority but will be patched.
Missing Clams?: Saw only a few comments that players lost clams when refreshed out of the Raid to the North Pole Event. If this happened to you write them ASAP. No reports yet.
Secret Spy Brian 24 Task took Clams: For those that the game DID charge Clams for running this 24hr task before the patch was put through, they will help fix it. I know some got an auto message about “Event items”… but no worries. Just make sure you in game message them and follow up while they get it corrected.
There you have it. A reintroduction of some of the Characters/Costumes from 2015. Hang tight, as TinyCo lists this as “Volume 1” it seems there may be more to come.

I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue….I have gotten everything to unlock Don. He has the check mark on the Fedora hat which was my last item to get 4/4. But when I tap the check mark it shuts off my game. I have did a force close and sent an in game ticket to them. But it’s late so hopefully they will get it fixed. I also Did a screen shot.

Can you please tell me if these are same drop rates as when the characters originally appeared? The epic drop rate on the beard trimmer is killing me and I seriously doubt I’ll be either get Greased Up Deaf Guy or Scrotes.

How do I place deaths mom? In the strip at the bottom, it shows her but with a lock…. I have the house, death and the dog both unlocked…. just can’t get to place deaths mom….

Same here too. Just got my last Fedora Hat and now I can just claim it, in theory, but the moment I tap on the check mark on the fedora bubble above Don Corleone, the game force closes. Peter is indeed available, but that doesn’t help. When I reopen the game I’m back to Don Corleone needing to be claimed. I only have about 10 hours left so I really hope we’re not going to miss out because of a bug.
For information, don’t despair with rare drops. They always seem to wait till the last minute to drop. Only one fedora hat from Scrotes over 2 days, playing every 4 hours to be safe, then 3 out of the next 4 tries on the third day. Just keep at it!

So I have the Detective, Death’s Mom, and GUDG because I earned them at the time and … Nothing shows up for Don Corleone. No timed challenges for last event and now no Don. Very frustrating.

Is Peter Free to trigger the Dialog? Did you see anything pop up telling you to Place Don Corleone in town while you earn for him like the other 3? Did you Check your Inventory Storage for him?

To answer, yes, Peter was free – he was actually in inventory, brought him out a few times to see, still nothing. And of course, no Don there. The quests triggered and completed but that was all. Luckily I had hit support in-game and he showed up in the store for a price of free so that’s sorted at least!

I already have GUDG, Scotes and Deaths mom, so, I was able to immediately work on Corleone. After 24 hours, all I have is ONE ring. May be cutting it close.

The only character or skin that I was missing (so far) was Slasher Cat…and thanks to TinyCo for giving me another crack at him.
Any chance of the Smith family getting added into this, at some point…or maybe Babs Pewterschmidt being offered again?
And maybe the Bitch Stewie, Tuxedo Brian and New Years Jillian from last year?
Most of the characters I don’t have are from pre-2015 (Gene Simmons, Paul Stanley, John McClane, Alien, Predator, Jason Voorhees, Freddy Kruger)…so I’ll keep my fingers crossed that they’ll be re-offered sometime in the near future.

Yes. Both GUDG and Scrotes require beard trimmers (nine in total), which are “epic” drops. *sigh*
Does the three day timer on Corleone cut off when the event ends? Because that would be extra impossible.

Just for clarification, do we lose GUDG and Scrotes if not unlocked by the 14th
or do we just lose the chance for Corleone?
The drop rates are setting up to end up requiring clams to finish by the 14th.

ANY reintroduced Character must be live and walking your Quahog Streets in order to be able to keep them. Those whose material is not completed collecting, purchased, or left in Mystery Box… will all go when the Event does.

I have Mr. Washee Washee and he has a task to help unlock Scrotes, but the task says I need Good Guise Beanies. Was that a premium building or should I have it? I can’t find it to purchase or in inventory. Any one know what that building is or how we got it?

Is it just me or are the items to be collected for greased up deaf guy and scrotes extremely hard to get? I’ve been collecting since the start of this game and so far only got one beard trimmer, one candy bowl and two grease tubs. If it continues like this then I have no chance in hell to unlock all of them, particularly because scrotes now also needs beard trimmers… They aren’t making it easy to get those guys 😉

Loving the best of mystery boxes, just got slasher cat after being caught out with the 24 hour time. I think 125 clams was reasonable along with the costumes in the boxes.
I had mobster bonnie and steroid stewie unlocked in the mystery box too but have gone missing (sent an in game message).
On the lois costume – 240 clams still way overpriced in my opinion.

So the timed quest to unlock Don Corleone won’t come until after I completely unlock GUDG AND detective Scrotes and Death’s mom, right? I already have Death’s mom, I’m working on collecting stuff for GUDG, and detective Scrotes just became available
To start collecting for.. A ! Appeared above Peter as soon as Scrotes became available, so I’m afraid clicking the ! Is going to trigger the timer for Don Corleone even though I haven’t unlocked GUDG and Scrotes yet.. Not sure if it starts once you PLACE them or not until after they’re totally unlocked… ? Do you know?

That is definitely the case. In my latest video (not spamming, but felt it would be beneficial) you can see each quest as I had all 3 characters but not Don Corleone. At the time though that darn timer threw me off as I didn’t expect there to be one. ;_;

So maybe the ! Over peter’s head is a different questline? I think I’ll just avoid tapping it even though it’s a pain in the butt lol

Hey I was just wondering if anyone else is having an issue with the drop rate for electric shavers to get GUDG. I have all the characters listed on shaver quests non stop since last night and haven’t gotten one yet! I know they’re listed as “epic” but this event is only up for a week!

Update:
1) Issue with characters not giving questlines is inherent to their release. A number of characters were dependent on buildings that may not exist in your game. I got all the 1st Mystery Box characters on my alt account which had none of them previously. I noticed many of the characters were missing actions due to buildings and characters not being present in the game. Ricardo on my alt only came with 5 actions as neither Jasper nor the Glamping Tent were in my game. As part 4 of Ricardo’s quest requires the Glamping tent (Try to catch greased up deaf guy), the quest failed to load altogether. The following is a list of characters that have functioning quests:

In the case of Kingpin Consuela, the part 4 task shows auto completed with check marks and does not show the end dialog or give the rewards.
2) A new issue arose while on my alt. Greased up deaf guy triggers a game crash every time I try to unlock him after having rushed the items. The items show completed but upon tapping the checkmark to claim him, the game crashes. Still looking into the root cause of this. Will post more when I have more. Hope this helps.

Well, since I have everything for this event I am finishing Christmas character questlines and so it will give me a much needed break from this game and my wallet also. I am sure that with the problems with the Don and them fixing them that Bunny made Tinyco an offer they couldn’t refuse. 😉

Awesome! Was going to buy Consuela – but wanted to wait for her to go on sale again (if that ever happens?) – bought the Mystery Box vol 1 and got her !!!free!!! with her Kingpin outfit. Bought 2 more and got Stripper Jerome and Cupid! Awesome. 300 clams for Consuela, or 375 for her, Cupid and 2 costumes!? BOOM!

Yeah. Don appeared locked with a timer pretty much as soon as the event started. But it’s all good now. To my surprise they fixed it this evening 🙂

I guess have all the characters I want, and there are noe I care enough about to spend money on, so I guess I get a week long vacation from the game! (unless I get a bug in my ear and decide to nuke and redecorate!) *chuckle*
Also, this is good for you Bunny, while there have been a handful of glitches, as they tend to have, it should be a relatively stress-free event requiring less of your time and energy, so you can rest up and concentrate on taking care of yourself! *smile*

If you just have your partners in crime check comments for rules violations and then release comments from moderation, we can probably stumble through ourselves for a while… Not the same as having The Bunny to guide us, but something! People could still ask questions and others could try to answer. We just need a little adult supervision so we don’t run wild and trash the place while you’re on medical leave.

If they do roll you into surgery — make sure they don’t accidentally leave your phone inside you as the device slips from your fingers in mid-tap when anesthesia kicks in…. They know to count sponges before closing but might not have a protocol for phones running Family Guy. Good luck, whichever way it goes!

It all depends on the Characters and when their Questlines were. Some of them were released and intertwined within an Event, so the Questline was a Main Event one and not available beyond the Event. Other than that, I am still verifying who should and should not have “New” Questlines with this release.

Detective Scrotes shows locked for me. I had completed his requirements, but the Mobster event locked me out if the game till after the event ended. I messaged tiny co back then and there was no response. I have messaged then again in game just now. We’ll see what happens.

Would love to see Starbright Peter in a mystery box or available for purchase but have a feeling that since he was a grand prize they probably won’t offer him.

Not actually. In technicality, he was like a 4th prize. The Bronze, Silver and Gold Griffin House were the Top 3 Prizes. 100 games got gold houses. Mine is Silver, but I have never used it. 🙂
Starbright Peter, he’s going down as my biggest Clam waste. I spent nearly 1,000 clams fighting someone and never got him. Big bummer on that one. It will be one of the rarest costumes ever next to the Sexy Stewie one. 😛

what do the levels mean for getting items, I can understand rare and uncommon etc, but what is epic and where does it fit in the scheme of things.

I got GUDG during the event, but had to rush him for 70-100 clams. Do you think TinyCo would refund those clams in order to get one of the mystery boxes?

My honest thoughts…Nope. What you do at anytime you play… you do at your own choice… like making a purchase. It may be brought back, go on sale, etc later on. So you always have the choice to earn it then or hope it returns later. It’s why I always repetively say, “Before you spend, make sure it’s something that will make YOU happy. 3 months from now, will you still be happy with that purchase? Will it be worth it to you?”
Event Characters are usually used for that Event too. So that would be like asking them as well to cancel ALL game play from the moment he was placed into your game. I doubt any game house will do that.

Kinda hoping they bring some items back. Like buildings and decos. Mob event had a LOT of cool decos lower prize rewards that high rank people never got. Such as Don Corleone’s Cat. I wants the kittttttyyyyyy!!!! 😀

No. 6 looks like Glenn Quagmire’s dad, who transitioned from male to female in one episode. I think “female Quagmire” was something else, Glenn got magically switched in some cosmic attempt to teach the perv a lesson or something like that. I vaguely recall he had dark hair as a female, could be wrong.

Volume 3 Box spot number 6 is actually coded as VALENTINES QUAGMIRE. In friendly player terms, this would be the Glenda Vajmire costume for Quagmire. Just as bunny corrected/reminded me. 🙂

I bought the Judge, and I’d like to ask if he’s supposed to have a questline or not? When I bought him the ! indicating a new task appeared briefly above his head, but disappeared before I could tap it and didn’t reappear, so I’m not sure if it was supposed to be there or not. I assume he had a questline when he was made available first time round.

He had one during the event he was launched in. Will verify with TinyCo iF a new one is supposed to trigger

Have The Judge Dance Like Sammy– 8hrs
Have The Fatfather Learn About Law– 4hrs
Held In Contempt Part 2
Have The Judge Be Judgey– 6hrs (65 coins, 45 exp)
Place Douglas Fur Tree (was Dead Body Chalk Outline)
Oops, I wasn’t at Part 3 yet, but I’m expecting it to be the same with it being character tasks. The only other one that could be different is Part 4 where you need to “Collect From Fur Coat Emporium,” since newer players might not have it.

I’m a bit confused, my quest says to unlock scrotes and deaths mom, so I click ‘go’ and they are locked but I can’t figure out how unlock them! Do I HAVE to open the mystery box in order to get them? If I don’t then how the hell am I supposed to do it?

There is that three-day timer for don corleone. Not sure what levels you need to be at to access the tasks performed by GUDG (6 hr), Scrotes (4 hr) and Mom (8 hr) since all three of mine were leveled up and I could send them right to work. Something to think about before triggering the task and putting don in your game. Players may want to have the new characters leveled to do those tasks or their timer for don will run out while they are trying to accomplish that.

Question: I have GUDG, and my next quest action is to unlock scrotes and death’s mom. So I click on go – but they are both locked. How do I unlock them? There isn’t any further direction or anything to tap to do it.
