I am bouncing by with some clarification and “help” for some of the Main Questions I am seeing so far for the Best of 2015 Event.
MISSING BUILDINGS?
With some of you not playing during the Original Events many of these Character/Costumes were released, some of you also missed out on the Buildings that were needed to go with them. Whether they used the location for their Questlines or Tasks.
TinyCo already has plans to re-release some Buildings to assist with this, so keep an eye out for them to hit the game.
In the meantime, let me know the names of the locations YOU see that are needed for the Characters you now have. I am compiling a list myself using the original Events… but I want to make sure that list of needed Buildings is accurate as some tasks changed after the Events were over.
CHARACTERS MISSING QUESTLINES
With the New Characters/Costumes hitting the game, a lot of New Questlines will be arriving too. Some are already active in the game, others will be coming. So if you do not see one yet… wait. TinyCo is still compiling some to release. Also, a few may require the Re-realeased Buildings to start it.
DON CORLEONE ITEMS CRASHING
Seeing a few reports of Players games crashing when trying to collect for Don Corleone. I did report it to them, feel free to do so as well from your game. Otherwise, you can try some of the Basics to see if that helps.
MATERIAL DROP RATES
I see this every Event… concerns on the Drop Rates of the Materials. The best advice I can offer is just keep continually sending the Characters. It SHOULD work out that they drop in the correct amount of time.
I have already addressed your concerns with TinyCo and they are, as usual, keeping an eye on things.
A few side points on drops, if the task takes LONGER, the drop is more likely. For instance an EPIC drop at 12hrs is more likely to drop than an EPIC at 4hrs. Just try to keep ALL available Characters continually on the Tasks for the drops.
Now if you do see there is a Drop needed but a Building you do not have is needed too, please let me know. I want to make sure those are on the release ones they are going to be dropping into the game.
These items I placed in another post, but wanted to address them here too…
Santa’s Workshop can’t be moved: They’re working on it. It’s not priority but will be patched.
Missing Clams?: Saw only a few comments that players lost clams when refreshed out of the Raid to the North Pole Event. If this happened to you write them ASAP. No reports yet.
Secret Spy Brian 24 Task took Clams: For those that the game DID charge Clams for running this 24hr task before the patch was put through, they will help fix it. I know some got an auto message about “Event items”… but no worries. Just make sure you in game message them and follow up while they get it corrected.
There you have it, a few items of concern that I wanted to address.

Family Guy Addicts 
I did not unlock deaths mom and greased up deaf guy, but I had them before the event. How do I get them back? I’ve spent a lot of time and clams on this game and if it takes characters I’ve spent clams on to complete I will never spend another dime. How do I get them back?

I am a little confused, you say you had them before the event… but how do you mean? Did you have them completely unlocked and all Materials collected? Or just placed in your game to collect for?
If you had them completely unlocked and walking around, they should still be doing so. If you did NOT complete collecting for them, the Event is over. You had to have them unlocked BEFORE it ended to keep them.

When you get the Don do you have to collect all his items before the event ends or do you have the 3 days to complete him.

Not sure if anyone has had this complaint: I’ve collected everything I need to unlock greasy deaf guy. I go to unlock him and my game freezes up. I’ve performed hard shutdown, I’ve given it time, I’ve tried multiple times.

I’m very upset with the company. I e-mailed tinyco over 2 weeks ago before the event ended and still haven’t heard anything back. My game unistalled itself and now it’s say my device is not compatible. After all the money I’ve spent and time nobody is going to help me? What poor customer service

Have you followed up since then? Received any kind of a response… even generic?
If you don’t hear from them within 5 days, message them again and followup. Respond to any message… even automated to stay in queue

Hi I have unlocked Detective Scrotes and Death’s Mom and collected all stuff for Greased Up Deaf Guy but when I go to remove the last checkmark the game crashes and closed itself. There is a solution? Thanks

I know GUDG crashing is a known issue, I have sent them a message. I know they’re working on a patch to fix it. But I’m wondering if I don’t get the fix in time today and the event is over will I loose the opportunity to get him?

I logged on and had GUDG, Scrites, and Death’s Mom, all without collecting all their items. My wife has the same thing happen. She was then able to place the Don and start collecting, but I cannot. Any ideas what’s going on here? Thanks!

My game crashes everytime I try to unlock Greased Up Deaf Guy. Can’t get Don Corleone until I unlock him. Everytime I reopen the game and tap on him, it crashes again. Have reported it to TinyCo.
Also, even though I already got like 90% of his stuff to unlock him in the concert event and STILL had to collect it all over again now, it’s taken all week to get the grease. Now I’ve had him unlocked for over 24 hours and trying to collect him is crashing my game – will I be able to collect Don Corleone at this rate? It’s not looking likely.

I’m still having the same issues as others, GUDG crashes my game. I uninstalled, restarted and reinstalled, still no bueno. Playing on a Galaxy S6 Edge+
Funny, I’m pretty sure I missed out on him before because of problems with the game crashing.

I have the same issue on my tablet and my phone (same profile). Just figured that perhaps I could unlock him in the Facebook version of the game, but no such luck. As soon as I click the last checkbox, the entire game just freezes. On my Androids, the app crashes.

I also have the problem with the GUDG, my game crashes or freezes, when I try to unlock him (golden lock). I’ve read about a patch, but i am on the latest, greatest and it did not fix the issue for me. Do you know, if this is still a known issue or should it be fixed by this patch? I know you are no Tiny techs 🙂 But maybe you have some more info for me. 🙂
I’ve wrote a feedback to them, but got no reply yet.
So, I guess again no GUDG and again no Don for me… as there is only one day left. All the issues all the time in this game with every update. Strange. Can’t understand why this is the way it is all the time.tztz 🙂

I’ve restarted my device, but still the same issue. Every time I click on the golden lock @ GUDG, my game freezes or closes. 😦 (yesterday, this affected also mr. ehem …this police officer :), i managed to unlock him last night).
I am playing on a iphone 6, also cleared all cache before, around 6.5 GB free disc space atm.
I am not on the latest ios release. But this should not be an issue I guess.

As long as the Family Guy app is up to date, then it’s just waiting for the right patch to hit. They’ve pushed 3 so far. Each unlocking a bit here and there.

Looks like they haven’t finished fixing the Don for those whose timers ran out while it was glitched. He still disappears from the game and goes back to the store when the game is closed. Sigh 😦

The patch is not foolproof for Don Corleone. I placed him for free from the store (his timer had already run out without me being able to unlock him, since hitting his check mark kept making my game crash and close). After placing him, every time I exited the game he would disappear and return to the store. I tried a visual task with the same result. Then I tried a task inside a building…now I’m locked out…my game won’t even get past the loading screen without crashing. 😦 I have already messaged TinyCo…just don’t want other players to run into the same problem!

It’s the same issues others already reported and TinyCo aware of. Patches are rolling out to help. Not all patches may be complete

Had the same problem with Greased up deaf guy crashing the game. Sent an ingame message. Few Hours later, GUDG, Srcotes and Deaths Mom all unlocked plus, they added 50 or 60 clams. SCHWING!

Clams came from most likely completing Character Collection Groups

I was halfway through my Don Corleone timer, had 1 ring and 3 each of the other 2 things. Logged in and now Don is just available with my other characters. Don’t know if this is a bug or a gift.
If it is a bug, I don’t want it to be reversed with me suddenly not able to earn the items needed to unlock him because I’m out of time.

Got Don, he was just unlocked and walking around…Wasn’t even close to finishing all the stuff I needed all 3 were still at 1/4 when I last left…
I hope it doesn’t revert me as the 3 droppers can’t drop anything anymore…

His quest was originally included but seems they binned it when fixing him. That’s fine by me, I’d rather be without his quest than be unable to load the game!

Patch is live. I had already placed scrotes, was done with gudg but it was freezing, and was pretty far with death mom. Patch placed both death and gudg in game and let me start on don!! Go tiny co for looking out!

Got a message back from Tiny Co that they pushed a fix today for the Don Corleone placement issue (tapping the checkmark causes crash). They said it should fix the problem and I should be able to claim him now. Problem is his timer expired a day and a half ago (for me). I sent them screen caps and full explanation the first time. Sent them another message. Has anyone else been able to get him after expiration?

Drop rate has been weird, I got epics really fast for both, but I have been sending the guys religiously every 4 hrs to get grease and glasses… Since day one.. And I’m at 10/25 on grease and 21/30 for glasses… Even epics I got them all about two days ago.. Not skipping grease and glasses tasks.
So I’m pretty sure I might not get gdg.. Maybe sc.

I received a response from TinyCo saying they had pushed out a patch which should resolve the Crash when unlocking a character. I have confirmed that, for me, Don Corleone is already walking around my Quahog. I also sent him on his 2 hour task and he remains in that task when I leave the game and return.
However, if Don Corleone was supposed to trigger a Questline, it doesn’t appear to be doing so.

Also can’t unlock GUDG it freezes, this is the thing that gets me about this game, there will always be glitches, but when it halts your progress tinyco should make amends. Last event with missing vehicles put me 4 days behind because they never gave me them back at the power I had before the issues. Now waiting around with this to get sorted and in the mean time can’t place the don.

I just finished getting all the items to unlock Greased up Deaf Guy, but when I click on the “bouncing” padlock and click on the gold lock, my game freezes. It’s happened a few times now. I’m going to try to delete and reinstall the game to see if that helps.

Same here on my freemium game.. and now way am i going to get them unlocked in time. Finally got the 5th item to drop for gudg, now i need 4 more for scrotes? Not happening. Most stuff seems to drop ok, but those are not dropping.

Same just happened to me.
I can’t finish GUDG.
Game crashes on final unlock.
First time I lost the final tub of grease.
Second time I received the final tub of grease I let the game save before trying to unlock. Still crashes the game, but at least the game now has it that I have all the materials completed.
Any suggestions? Tried rebooting. No luck.

I collected all the items for greased up dead guy and went to unlock him ( check mark for the grease ) and heard the sound that plays when a charac is unlocked. But then the game crashes. This happened 4 times and i even tried force closing and restart.

Hi bunny, I’m not able to log into my game. Starts the start up screen and then crashes. This is a first for me. Did the normal trouble shooting but to no avail. Have you heard of any other reports of this? I didn’t see anything on the site. Thanks so much! Hope you’re feeling ok.

Having the same issue as Isabella and for me yes i did place Don. Tried uninstalling and reinstalling on ios 9.2 same issue though.

I have the same problem. I put the Don in my game and started his questline. after a while he return to being purchased (free) I put him again (I believe did that 2 or 3 times) and then I think made the mistake of putting in a 2 hr task indoors, since then I can log in again. hope they fix that.
