A new Knight is upon us. A land of Dragons, Kings, and R.O.U.S’? Wait a minute… WHAT??!!
A Grimm Knight in Quahog is now live in our silly lil games and with it some fun fairytale Characters, Buildings, and other various items will be joining our games. Don’t worry, it’s only a Flesh Wound.
A GRIMM KNIGHT IN QUAHOG WILL END THURSDAY, MARCH 24th, 2016 @3PM PACIFIC
***So far I am only seeing this on iOS, but am restarting Google Event is on Google now too- restart device to see if it appears. Nothing on Kindle yet. FYI… was informed that Amazon and Facebook usual delays (always behind) will cause you to most likely see it by tomorrow. Just wanted to give a heads up.
I will try to update as fast as I can, but with me at work… hang in there while I get a chance to play the game and update all the details. In the meantime, I will share some FAQ until I can confirm it live.
First up, the Basic Requirements…
- Players will need to have either Opted Out of Star Trek OR Wait til 3pm Pacific TODAY to see the New Content
- Players will need to be on Version 1.19.0 in the App Markets, so if you are not… go download it (or wait til it hits your market)
- Players will need to have at LEAST District 3 Unlocked and Al’s completed
- Players will only see this on the Mobile App Version, not Windows Stand Alone
- PLAY THE GAME! Items unlock in stages and as you progress, so if you do not see an item it is most likely you have not progressed far enough in the Main Questline to unlock it. Check details below for more specifics on unlock points.
Again, this is NOT fully confirmed info and more just FAQ. I will verify it as I can and update the post when I am able to get to my game.
STAR TREK OPT OUT
The Opt Out option is now live in the game. It is right next to where the Leaderboard and Enterprise Icons are in the Lower Right of the screen.
It will show the FIRST Pop Up…
*Then the SECOND…
“ARE YOU SURE?”
*Then the THIRD…
“ARE YOU ABSOLUTELY SURE?”
*Then it will Restart the game…
“ENDING STAR TREK”
***If it is like mine, it “froze up” just a bit while thinking then moved to the “Our Special Event Has Ended” Pop Up to restart it by tapping “GO”. Give it a minute while it does the same for you. Then you will see one more Reload Option screen to finalize it. ***PHEW***
If you want out of Star Trek and are 100% sure, as there is no going back, follow the steps on the Opt Out of Star Trek post to do so. Otherwise you will be jumped into the New Event at 3pm Pacific TODAY.

You will have the option to raise your Honor Level to help re-enforce castle gates and gain access to each new Phase as it Launches. Honor Points will be found all over the game. Quests, Tasks, from purchase, etc. I will have a more detailed list later.
KNIGHTS IN TRAINING
They will start to appear after completing Once Upon a Time Pt. 3. They will start to wander your Quahog Streets with the Characters. Just tapping on them will clear them.

Right side of the Castle area will be the Archery Training area. Only unlocked and available Characters will be able to train. The mor Characters you send to Train, the higher potential for rewards. Characters will not be able to do anything else while in Training as it is considered a Task.

This is kind of like your crafting area. It will be on the left side of the Castle. You can use Materials (like Magic Beans) to get prizes from the Bazaar. Looks like they also listened to our requests in crafting and you can make anyone you want at anytime you want that it available. No order to them at all. I also did NOT see a timer on the last item. I even waited a minute. Let me know if you see anything different.

DRAGONS
Dragons will begin appearing at the Castle after Once Upon a Time Pt. 7 (Though I saw mine hit while in Pt. 4). In order to attack Dragons, you will need Potions. They are similar to a “Boss” in that they will each require a specific amount of Potion to attack them, must be attack FIVE times to be defeated, and must be slayed in 24hrs to collect the full reward. If the Dragon is not defeated fully in the 24hr period, it will reset back to Full Strength.
As soon as the Dragon appeared in my game while in Once Upon a Time Pt. 4 (White Dragon behind Castle in Event Area) I tapped on the Dragon by his timer and DEFEAT THE DRAGON information popped up.

Yeah, I had over 23 million and they pushed me back to 20M. I messaged TC and their response was that my coins are still all there, but that it was a visual change and they aren’t finished working on it. Strange tho, bc I would think mine would say 23M and yours would say 12M….maybe it just rounds the number? Idk….

Not really using it. It’s not their exact replica character and the story of Cinderella is not owned by them. So… it can go gray on copyright. Like the Football Event. They had their personal names but not actual jerseys.

However, the girl that you see in the Cinderella movie, “Bibbity bobbity boo”, and the mice that turn into pumpkins are all Disney property.

Don’t worry about it. No hurry. Get to it when you can. It is there as the Clam Option of the Black Knight allows you access to battle the Dragon. If you don’t want to spend Clams… then don’t. We got LOTS of time in a month long Event for you to battle the dragon. Patience. We are not even 12hrs in. 😉

On the ios (iphone) it still isn’t active yet. I downloaded the new family guy version, and re-launched around 11am. Been checking it all day. Never got an opt out button, Star Trek ended around 3pm and cleared, but I still haven’t gotten the new scenario yet.

So it turned out to be a fail at the app store. At 11 am it had updated the app and said there were no more updates, even had the new splash screen when FG relaunched, at 5pm when I re-check it and it still said I was at the latest version. I killed and re-launched the app store and suddenly it had a new update. I noticed there doesn’t seem to be a way to check the version in the FG app itself, it would be nice if they had an accessible versioning view in the app would have helped troubleshooting this issue as the app store failed on its side.

Though I’ve never seen or heard of this princess movie the animations and new land for this event look really great. Also was thrilled to get the black knight, always loved that will ferrel voiced him. Is this movie worth watching or is it a children’s movie? A little confused as to why they included it but oh well the rest of the event seems good. As usual thank you for the fantastic rundown. Always helps.

A Princess Bride is a silly comedy more than anything. I love it as it is kind of a big joke on “love stories” while still having a Love story in it. The Character quotes are hilarious, I still quote them to this day though the Movie is older. The Characters are awesome.
It fits with the “Fairytale” theme going in in the game. 🙂

Mort has no tasks for me on iOS latest versions but notification centre has told me about a dragon 5 times in 15 mins lol. The other 95 characters I have do nothing. Jerome, Herbert, Bonnie, Louis & Bruce on tasks. Did not see any option re: Trek opt-out, I was 5 metal bars away from the bald guy in a red suit (not a Trekkie anyways) hehe although I load game every 2 hrs. 😛

Same here waiting, since in buy clams with Amazon game coins, tried forcing the update by playing on android then going to kindle but no luck. Black knight will have to wait.

Do you know where the timer for the knights in training is located. I know it costs 4 clams to restart the timer but I can’t find the dang timer

Once you send someone… it starts the timer. Then it will show when you tap on the area again and pull up the overview of who is in Training and the Chance Prizes

So I know some people have already mentioned, but star trek buildings are cashing out beans so take advantage in case it’s a temporary glitch. I know the cubes are dishing out 60 a piece and the ale bars are giving out 70. Man am I glad I grabbed 4 bars during the first event.

I really like the look of this event, plus I’m really happy that we can finally choose the order of the prizes we can craft this time, and I had to buy the Black Knight as I’ve been hopeing for ages that he’d get added at some point. I’m also seriously considering getting the clam dropping building, as doing the math it should end up paying out around 324 clams if you buy it straight away, so that would be a gain of 74 clams. I can’t wait to see what else this event brings, just hope we get some sort of outfit for Adam West or another character who hasn’t got an outfit yet.

This might be a bug but when I quit out of the game on both my Android and iOS devices I almost immediately get a notification from the Family Guy game about dragons attacking Quahog. It happens every time. I know the event has just started so I will give it time.

I got a strange bug after I opt out of star trek event: I checked in my inventory and there are all the enterprise rooms! They drop beans, but after I placed them I can’t move them!

I’m thinking it’s an error as I can’t move them now.. I got excited because that new room was in there, so I took it out.. Ugh. I already contacted support via in-game.

Aannd it is. “It’s known and they’re working to resolve it”. They also apologized. I’ve been having a pretty good time w their customer service lately, which is nice. Kinda like the old days, from back in the beginning lol.
Bunny they could add you in this time as a Alice in Wonderland type deal you know! You could come w a broken watch and everything! It could be a quest to repair it and restore your sanity with carrots! Hahaha ⏱🐰
Good god, why is there not a CARROT emoji yet?!! I keep looking for one when I post and I can’t ever find it, because it doesn’t exist, and it drives me mad everytime!!

I’ve done the math – it’s worth purchasing the Grand Fairy Tale library. 12 clams a day over 27 days (I think) = minimum 324 clam pay out for a 250 clam purchase.

Funny thing is you can clam rush the clam payout for 6 clams, so if you are really bored, you could just keep doing that LOL

It’s not a minimum of 324 clams but a maximum of 324 clams. As you don’t get it right at 12 hours, it’ll start to slip and then you’ll end up where the second collection for the day will be when you’re sleeping.
8pm, 8am, 8:30pm, 8:30 am, 8:45 pm, 9pm, 9am, 10pm, 10am, 10:30pm, 11am, 11:30pm, noon, midnight, noon, 1am, ….
It’d probably end up being minimally in your favor, but you’d need to set alarms to go right when the clams are ready. Too much of a hassle for me.

You need to manually opt out. There is a little blue and yellow icon on the lower right of your screen. It is right next to the Star Trek leaderboard icon. Click that and it will ask you (three times) if you want to opt out.

I got the option to opt out. I clicked it and verified 3 times, then the game froze. When I restated, I’ve got the update. So for it’s working well.

I’ve updated. Of note, Star Trek buildings are now paying out green beans – so don’t put them away.

My game has just been updated to the newest version on the Google play market, and I’m not getting any option to log out of the star trek event and start any new event. I surely have no need to stick with star trek as I’m a long time player and wrongly banned from the leaderboard so no reason to stick with that event. Did they change their minds on offering this or is it only being offered to a select few?

there is a huge gap n time between the updates on kindle i waited up till 5 am i never got a option to opt out of the star trek and start up the new quest and now u say the new thing is live but i still see no update ud think the updates would all be at the same time

Kindle is always late, that’s Amazon not tiny co on that one, I don’t think the option to opt out happened within the last hour, I’ve been checking twice every hour and just saw it has bunny put up this post
