With Phase 3 now live in our games, some tempting Clam items have been dropped into a Mystery Box for your amusement. Now as I always point out, these Mystery Boxes ARE a gamble. It is there as a choice and YOUR choice to take chances and spend Clams to see what Prize you win from each try at the Mystery Box. Let’s take a look inside.

MY PERSONAL RESULTS
Here is how my breakdown went with the tries in the Mystery Box. These are my personal results, yours will vary.

I would have stopped here as a regular Player, but for the sake of gaining details for the site… I continued on til I got all the Decorations.

I stopped here. Yes, there is a chance of 175 Clams still in there but it just doesn’t seem worth it to me to risk it for the Eggs and especially the Magic Beans as I have more than enough of them.

I was able to purchase a dragon’s castle (the one the dragon pops out of) last week for 1 bean. It is an unnamed decoration sitting on a 6 x 1 block, or so, and seems to be about 66% replica – no dragon though.
What happened to this? I only bought 20… 😦

It wasn’t supposed to be in the game. It is a part of the Weekly Challenge and should only reward when the Challenge is done first. They pulled it.

Spent 375 clams and got THREE unicorns in a row!!!! I’m sooooooo pissed!! I thought once you purchased something there were no duplicates!! I really want Brian but needless to say. Im not about to go for a fourth unicorn. 😦

I got a Unicorn, Pegasus and Pegacorn.. When I placed them it took a minute for them to show back up in my game, but they reappeared.. Did they come back in both yours and Bunny’s games??

As soon as I saw Big Bad Brian was a prize I just had to give it a shot and was lucky enough to get him in 3 tries, I stopped there as I wasn’t to interested in the other prizes, and with another Mystery Box to come in Phase 4 I’d rather keep some clams saved incase that one has another character.

i lucked out and got Brian on the first try. I don’t normally do mystery boxes, especially such expensive ones but I have a crapload of clams so figured I’d try once and see. lol

You lucky bunny! I did not get him until after seven tries. Honestly was okay with it though considering last mystery box character cost well over 2k clams. Also this one had beans and eggs as possible repeaters so I could have ended up spending a fortune before I got him. I also did get all three decos in my first six tries so overall happy with what I spent. Can’t really complain much about these spending a lot on these boxes when at this point we know perfectly well what we are getting ourselves into 😛

I had bought all 3 birds that drop the eggs as well as a greenhouse so having eggs and beans in the mystery box makes this very passable for me although I really want the character the risk of getting eggs as well as beans when I’m doing more than fine as is. I’m just gonna hope Big Bad Brian appears again down the road again at some point.

I had 260 Clams lying around remaining from my Clam stock for this week after getting Inigo and Emerald Peacock, so I figured I would get 2 and ONLY 2 pulls from this Mystery Box.
1st pull: Unicorn. Cool! Will go well with that expensive Pegasus Shrine from the Music Event! Honestly of the 3 animals, if I had a choice, this would be the one I wanted. Very sweet!
2nd pull: Big Bad Brian!!! I literally cried. As a person whose main goal is character and costume collection, I was THRILLED! I wasn’t even really thinking I would get him this go. He’s busy butt scooting his way around my town now. 🙂
So, was I lucky? Yes, very lucky. Will you get BBB in 2 tries or less? Who knows. It was definitely worth me making the effort though today. 🙂

Somewhat sad that big bad Brian has been stuck in a mystery box. Would have purchased him if he had been just an outright clam purchase but I’m not going to go on a clam slam of unknown proportions to try and win him in a box of stuff I don’t really want for 125 clams a try… Even your results ended up being around 500 clams to get him which is more than I’d want to spend on him. Usually something like this would run around 200 to 250 clams most events, for that I certainly would have done it, but for unknown chances, no. I wonder how tiny Co comes out on these.. Do they make more in mystery attempts vs just outright clam item sales? I would think they wouldn’t but maybe they do!

Yup, sounds like mystery boxes are very profitable for them. I just don’t get it that people do it over and over again and complain about it afterwards…is that some bizarre type of masochism? As in ‘I really hate mystery boxes but I always buy them’…? strange to understand 😉
