Keep in mind that this is the Addicts Site, not TinyCo’s… so respect that we do not have to field the abuse for them, but are just giving an outlet to vent frustrations for our Readers. Direct Abuse towards anyone in any shape or form however will not be allowed on the site… period.
Here’s mine for this week:
WHAT THE DEUCE… Drops. I honestly would prefer myself to have things at Always drops but longer task for the more “difficult” ones. For instance, instead of “rare” have it take 16 or 24hrs. That way I know it’ll still drop, but the “challenge” element is still there.
WHAT THE DEUCE… People taking small children to adult movies, like Deadpool. Look I get you want to be a “cool parent” but a film is rated R for a reason. Please just stop. Let a kid be a kid. They can grow up on their own time and be exposed to the world when they’re ready. Deadpool is no place for a baby, a 6 year old, an 11 yr old, etc. Let us grown ups have our shows. Take the kids to Zootopia or Kung Fu Panda 3. 😉

Family Guy Addicts 
The only reason I have wesley at this point is I inadvertently purchased him for like 490 some clams that was a total fn mistake and even with him he has been no help whatsoever. This is really really a horrible event. It’s way too much junk going on and nothing drops what you need. It’s just I guess the only comfort is that it seems that everyone is in the same boat but that’s kind of sad when you have so many people who love something and hate it at the same time it’s like we all are Valerie Bertineli in some bad spousal abuse movie on lifetime and tiny co is our husband (I’m not diminishing domestic violence at all just making a point ). I used to be able to finish each new event but that has not happened since the original Star Trek and has gotten worse since then because I just had refused to spend clams on anything until my mishap with this one. I play the game like quite constantly two or three times an hour when I am awake and sadly sometimes during the night I would stay up late or get up early just to check or send characters back out. It’s just really getting to the place where my love for all that is family guy can not sustain this game.

I would go into cardiac arrest if I accidentally spent 490 clams…. I’m still in mourning for the 46 clams I accidentally spent several weeks ago on a beer bottle tree by clicking too fast. A beer bottle tree! A totally useless beer bottle tree that I could get for free!!!! Me, the lifelong teetotaler! I want a way to disable clam spending just like I have in-app purchases disabled, so I have to actually do something deliberate first before my clams can be spent and a cat knocking into me at a crucial point won’t trigger it. Parents of two year olds would also be grateful. At least the cats don’t have opposable thumbs.

Event WTD – party balls. ‘Nuff said
General game WTD – as a long time player I wish TinyCo would stop the back to back events. A ratio of 50/50 event/non-event time would be more than plenty, keep old players engaged with new stuff and give us time to occasionally play around / design with the 95% of stuff kept in storage. It also gives new players time to work on districts and finally it would ease some of the programming burden for TinyCo.

1st question:
Is anything being done about the sapphire eggs? I and many, many others are stuck in week 2’s questline. I need 6 eggs to progress to week 3. That is 24 gauntlets. It has taken me 6 days to collect 14. Even if I had collected 24, we all know we wouldn’t get an egg each time. I managed one from those 14 gauntlets I collected. There is literally no chance of doing this before the event ends in its current state. Half the event’s content inaccessible due to this bottleneck. It is the absolute worse I have EVER seen it for this game since it was launched.
2nd question:
The dragons are not offering nor dropping sceptres for the princesses. Is this a known issue? I have seen it mentioned by others a couple of times. If this is yet another glitche that prevents us from collecting something then I seriously will not be surprised. What has happened to this game?! Cheers, Bunny. Appreciate all your hard work, by the way.

I was ranked in the 300s at the end of the star trek second contact leader boards and yet I have to get the prizes for them. I contacted them through their support system and have not heard back from them… Did everyone get their rewards?

I go to play my Simpsons Tapped Out game and it’s enjoyable, fun, and just excellent. The quality, the interface, everything. I generally go on about once an hour. Plus, things have been improving consistently with new side missions and ways to add continuing replay value. Even this current Casino event that I couldn’t care less about is fun!
I go to play my Family Guy Quest for Stuff game. Everything is unpleasant. The amount of space I have is laughable. I do missions and get nothing. Nothing improves, nothing changes. Being forced to spend clams to get even close to enjoying an event is ridiculous. It’s almost a chore now.
Specifically, in this event:
I have to make a choice where to send Sir Peter, knowing that either way I will be screwed. I spent some (free) clams to buy a building that drops scales, so I managed to get Westley. Haven’t even unlocked the BUILDING for Red Riding Stewie, and probably wont’ get Giant Chris because I can’t get boogers fast enough. If I was going to drop clams on anything, it would probably be the Princess Bride. But I’ll be damned if I’m going to give money to TinyCo after how badly they’re mucking this up.
Long story short, I care nothing for Casinos and I LOVE Princess Bride. And I’m having more fun in Simpsons than Family Guy.

so i finally had the potions to battle and defeat the dragon and earn enough dragon scales to unlock westley.. which i did.. only to be told my connection was lost.. on re-connecting i found that although the potions for fighting the dragon had gone the dragon scales were not logged nor was my unlocking of westley.. now i have a different colour dragon for which i do not have the potions and another day or 2 to wait to unlock westley.. VERY BAD SHOW, OLD BEAN!!

WTD! What is there for me to do? The dragons drop nothing I need. I only see the white one. 3 people on gauntlets give me 1 if that so wrestling is out. Hobby horse? Got 6 before my jousting was open. Now don’t see them. Neither drop eggs as it is for me. I backdoored Stewie grandmothers house. Got the baskets and jelly beans, won’t see him by end. Took the survey here and I learned there was more than a white dragon. Lol

WTD! Sent three messages to TC support over a period of two weeks when I was removed from the leaderboards after the Star Trek event ended, but no reply to any of them. (And no prizes either) Seriously TC, why don’t you at least send a confirmation that the message is received?
WTD II: this event is by far the worst yet when it comes to progress for freemium players. I have never been so far behind before, having hardly started on phase II, and even that required using (free) clams.
Really no fun left in the game for me now, just senseless grinding to maybe get an asset to maybe get another asset to finally get what I’m after. Mobsters event last year was the last event I felt it was possible to keep up (with one exception, since I had everything from last year, the latest Star Trek event was rather fun too). Since then it has become more and more impossible to keep up. With the addition of seemingly total lack of support, I think I might just finally give up on the whole game now.

Now I know this is supposed to be a forum to rant on whatever topic you may wish. This IS the proper forum for this and certainly while posting, one must abide by the rules of not trolling others and minding the language. So when I post on here, I make it a point to follow THOSE rules set forth by the site owners. This isn’t my issue. My issue is having my voice stifled by responding to someone else for what can only be assumed as political reasons.

I highlight “Respect the Addicts Guidelines” as time and again that is the issue. The Guidelines NOT being respected or followed.
It has more to do with overall readers and their reactions, responses. Always has… Always will be. I find it insulting that time and again you put personal blame on ME for moderation.
As noted in our Addicts Guidelines:
“What we will NOT allow is attacks, trolling, vulgarities, racism, or other remarks that will incite hate, flame wars, or abuse towards any readers or any member of the Addicts Team.”
Race and religion fall right into that. Inciting responses in others that should NOT be on our site. If we see the comments turning from just discussion to “hot button” topics we will step in. Also if we see abuse or hate/flame wars triggering off of specific comments, we will step in. In the end this site is about fun, not agendas. Keep in mind just because you were moderated, it does not mean you were the only one. This attitude of “poor picked on me… I’m being repressed” is just getting old. You think you’re the only one ever in the history of the site to be moderated for Guidelines violations? To think that is ridiculous.
That’s where Addicts Guidelines “See the Bigger Picture” steps in. We see 1000 times more than you may on this end. No need to assume where my thoughts or feelings are. Attacking or putting me down because you were moderated is really silly as that is my job. This site is my responsibility and I have THOUSANDS of readers here, not just you.
Instead of taking moderation so personal and turning your anger or frustrations on me… open your mind, “See the Bigger Picture” and remember the site you’re on and our Guidelines. Regardless who you are, where you’re from, etc etc etc… if it goes against Guidelines it WILL be moderated.
If you don’t like the moderation, feel free to start your own site with your own Guidelines. Otherwise… I ask… for the countless time… follow the Guidelines or be moderated. End of the day this is the Addicts Site.
Respect those that provide this site to you. Would you go into your Parents home and tell them what to do? What they should and should not allow you to do? How about another business, do you go into a restaurant or store and tell them you can do and say whatever you want? I’d hope not. Respect. Have it. Understand it. Give it.
If all you want to do is continue to bash me personally or make remarks about my character, then you need to find somewhere else to go. It’s getting beyond ridiculous now and we grow tired of it.

I’ve had 1. ONE. And I’ve trained in wrestling 12 times!!! And it’s not like its easy to get the gauntlets to do so! (50 total gauntlets collected so far!)
I literally can’t do anything until I get 8 more sapphire eggs (16 if I’m forced to get Prince Charming’s castle) to get to the week 3 content. AND I’M A PREMIUM PLAYER! I just refuse to pay 86 clams for one egg! (Approximate equivalent to about $3.00 real money per egg.)
This is seriously ridiculous.

I was hoping with the start of week 3 (which I didn’t start until Tuesday (3/15) that the Mort Trolls would start dropping Sapphire Eggs like they dropped Gold Eggs. But, nope… and I now have 30+ Flash Bangs…
I got RRH Stewie via the backway trick, but can’t even start collecting for him.
NOT TO MENTION, I keep getting dragon scales and boogers from battling dragons even though I paid roughly 125 clams total to unlock Westley and Giant Chris bc I felt I was falling behind… I need scepters!

The worst part of this for me is the dragons. I always have to wait the longest possible time before the next dragon appears so I haven’t managed to unlock Westley yet. I don’t think I would mind as much if there was a timer to tell me it was going to be 48 hours, then I could prepare for it. I don’t know why they’ve changed the format of this for the events, usually with the Bertram battles etc I’m sure we had a set period before they showed up again and it was quite a short period, hopefully they go back to that!
I find myself not caring about this event anymore though so I probably won’t bother playing it through to the end. Go play the Simpsons game instead, their events are so much more fun and well thought out.

I can’t get any picnic baskets despite sending Quagmire and Joe to fetch them 8 times already! Together they get the yellow bar full so it should be a sure thing? It seems like there is some kind of hidden prerequisite to get them to drop at all?

“Thanks for writing in. I double checked the drop rates and the appear to be working properly. The chance they drop can have an element of randomness. We’ve also made a helpful change to the way items drop. The drop chance now becomes much more likely if you haven’t received an item after a certain number of tries. This number is different for every item. Keep trying, and the item will drop eventually! And thanks for writing in, we are taking all feedback concerning item drops into account and I will bring this to the attention of the team.”
Not clear if all unsuccessful tries so far count or does the count start now? Does the count reset once you get one item? Well, just have to see.

It’s been in place a while now. It starts as soon as you do not get an item repetitively. Then your odds increase until you get the item.

To be honest. I have gotten tired of complaining to tiny co about same issues event after event. They’re not going to make anything easy on this game what so ever. They may fix some bugs to please some masses, but that’s it.

Finally decided. I am deleting this App. I just wish I could pass on 75 Clams to someone, It was fun 2 years ago, but the weighted balance of items has become a joke for us freemium players. http://imgur.com/a/EVt04 some screenies showing lack of interest and my current setup.
Every new phase always has the same problem, collect millions of pointless items, and also collect rare or near impossible items to proceed.
Plus the storage side of things I have mentioned in the past, FG:TQFS takes up the most storage on my iPhone 5S 16GB.

Ever since I was banned without proof from the Christmas event I have seen my drop rates plummet dramatically. It is like they are continuing to penalize me. I have never had such poor drop results before that and I am checking my game every two hours religiously. Since I have sent numerous in-game messages and emails regarding the Christmas ban, I have decided that they looked into my game and determined that I wasn’t the kind of player they wanted as I have been permanently banned from leaderboards (as confirmed by them via in-game messaging) and appear to be trying to drive me away from the game by affecting my drop rates. If they think this is going to get me to support the game with clam purchases, they haven’t assessed the situation properly; I want to financially support companies that are honest and trusting, not those that use bullying and dishonest tactics.

Just an FYI… Leaderboard bans have nothing absolutely what so ever to do with the drop rates. If you look around the site, EVERYONE is feeling the effects of the drop rates.

Bunny, I used to agree with you and I read these comments religiously to see where my experiences stack up against other players. I play the same style with the same strategy on two games — one was banned, one wasn’t. I have never had problems with drop rates in either game; they tended to run very similar on both my games. I am watching it very closely and there is a considerable difference in the game that was banned since the ban. I noticed it during the football and star trek events and am charting it in this event because I want the hard data to show. I get that everyone has different experiences with drop rates but if the algorithms are what are claimed, it should all equal out over time. This is more than just a unique occurrence; this is becoming a trend. I didn’t jump to a conclusion after one or two events. This is the third event in a row and I noticed it a little in the couple of mini-events too. I plan on sharing all of the information with you and the readers at the end of the event and will continue to track it for future events so long as I remain banned. These are all materials needed for future “discussions” with TinyCo.

I can understand when you are not happy that assuming the worst is the easiest route. It is what our anger does to our mind set, we start looking for fault and explanations. I am just letting you know that is not the case. Let me put it this way, I spend over 20-30 THOUSAND Clams in my game for the site per each Event… my drops still are the same as my Freemium game I have never spent a penny in. Spending will not make a difference.
Players I know that were banned from the Leaderboards since Christmas and waiting for it to be resolved are getting BETTER drops in their games than my EXTREME Premium game. So again, it does not matter.
Like I said, I get the anger and frustration and that it appears easier to find fault due to something else… but I am telling you as my personal experience since this game launched in BETA… it is not accurate. That is testing 100’s of games between me and my friends and Players/Readers here that may not comment on the site but I speak with daily via other methods. The drops are just not very easy ones all around for ALL Players this Event.
Feel free to express your concerns to them if you feel differently.

Well same boat as all of you I guess. Scales (I have only 22 scales!!!) and Boogers holding me up. Terrible luck with dragons. I think the black dragon has spawned three times for me so I have to sit and wait…..again because I only have Sir Peter to gather potions and can’t really get any where with scale collecting with only one hit on a black dragon. Blarg.
I’ve messaged TC as I’m sure all of you have. No response. No changes. We’re halfway through week 3 and many of us still don’t have a simple week 1 character. Nicely design TC. I figured at the least with update 3 you would have pushed something through to help or adjust. Maybe up scale drops on dragon to 10 or 15 so next attack gets us there or make the silly knights drop scales when you “attack” or trip them. But no. So then I held out hope that my weekend wouldn’t be a wash. Nope. Now if you drop something today or tomorrow we are all sooooo far behind. I can’t even see phase 3 stuff yet because I need Wesley to progress. So if you fix it even today in order to do all the quest line stuff for phase 2 it will get us to Thursday easily so by the time week 4 stuff hits at best we would almost be a full week behind.
By all means TC do nothing or don’t think beyond today when you try and implement a fix…………
OK here’s my non-TC related WTD. Why do people love to stop in doorways and do something like check a text, answer their phone or otherwise start a random conversation with someone around them? Do they not understand that they are literally holding everyone up that might want to go through that doorway and all they have to do is step 1 foot aside to do whatever they like and not effect everyone else? Does no one else have awareness of their surroundings?

WTD with this game in general as of late? Are TinyCo spending all our clam money on rights and not game stability? I don’t know about you but for me every event area since the first Star Trek has been glitchy/buggy. They sneak in a strip of land but make the Quest for Stuff so front and center that I have no way of showcasing said stuff but resort to putting voiced characters and many items in storage just to keep the game stable during events. I have never been one to argue about drop rates. It averages out. BUT the event currency bottlenecking and get this clam item to get just this week’s item just to become obsolete (not at the end of the event but pretty much the next week when new week currency is introduced). I get that the company must continue to tweak their formula to appeal to everyone with what they have available to them but they need to give us some stable normalcy. Make coins relevant to events and focus event currency perhaps on a final prize, as fuel for battles, or to buy event items like with the castle walls, that help add to actual town designs we may want to use. Give us new districts or land that come in predictable intervals. Resize buildings and items to make them appeal better (Dog rushmore vs Matchstick factory as one example) and to fit better. Give us a side game or task to use with won/bought premium characters we have year-round. IMO it feels like the game has abandoned the long term plans for the game and are now like the season 3 writers of LOST. No I don’t want another fish biscuit and keep me away from room 23 you clam monster. I love this game, so many of us have invested money into this game that we feel like part owners. So please listen to us when you read these blogs at 3 am TinyCo that many of us won’t part with the game but the taste is growing stale. Flavor it up. Give players options rather than bottleneck grind for stuff set to what seems to be impossible goals *cough dragons*. To borrow from the Drumpf Monster: Let’s make this game great again. To paraphrase my favorite cartoon character “worst. event. ever.” drop rates are §/!* and every character needs the dragon (which only shows up twice a week) you can only earn 5 potions a day if you play every 4 hours and 8 hours of sleep. I have 1 character from this event 1! I hope this isn’t how future events will be.

WTD I got the stupid *** blue dragon and it looks like since I’m limited on just Sir Peter to get Potions I’m going to be 1 Scale and 1 Booger away from unlocking both Westley and Giant Chris. I’m going to have to wait another 24 hours to get them unlocked. 😦

Still in week two part 4. Still haven’t unlocked Westley yet. The only character I have unlocked was Sir Peter. The drop rates from the dragon is awful. The entire event is terrible. I play constantly with sending Sir Peter out as much as possible to get as much of the potions of each as much as I can. Still. I’ve yet to fully unlocked Westley or Giant Chris, both are very close by the edge of the teeth of unlocking. Dragon should spawn more than just once every 24 hours. More characters should be needed to help out than just the amount currently. This event is a ‘meh’ for me. My goal is to unlock as many of the loading screen characters. So far I don’t seem to be up for unlocking both princesses, but it’s not going to be a big loss for me personally.

I agree. I’m in the same boat. When the event came out I thought it would be awesome, but the fact that the entire event relied on buying the black knight is ridiculous.

Tbh, I wasn’t even excited for this event. I dunno, I just feel like the good majority of unnecessary characters could have been skins instead of another clone. But that’s just me. Though I will admit, two events and I haven’t spent a dime. One because I already had all the characters, and this one because I don’t really care…

w.t.d still don’t have Westley because I don’t have enough blue things dropped from the dragon. Sir Peter gets his one potion every 4 hours but only can kill the dragon a couple of times before he disappears for 2 days. Then can’t get anything in the bazaar because I need sapphire eggs, which means I need Sir Peter to wrestle, but he can’t because he’s collecting potions. But on the off chance I do have enough gauntlets to wrestle, it doesn’t drop the egg anyway.
It’s not that I’ve given up, but this event really hasn’t worked for me. Phase 2 was on and I barely had Sir Peter.
also WTD… the traffic lights go green, and it takes way-too-many seconds before any car has actually gone thru the intersection. No wonder there are traffic jams, people don’t pay attention.
and finally WTD, I’m not from the states, but how can anyone seriously be still considering Trump… wow

This event set up makes no sense. The drop rates are ridiculous. I understand wanting to make it a challenge but requiring so many items to unlock characters when you have to wait at least one day is fustrating. The first week was useless because of the glitches. I kknow Tinyco is trying to force ppeople to spend money to complete this event. This event is not freemuim friendly.

WTD tiny co, I paid good money for my princess bride characters but the quotes you chose are just terrible XD where are the iconic phrases from the film 😥 I know it’s a minor point in the grand scheme of things, but was pretty disappointing.

WTD – why do the event specific activities for getting materials not earn you event currency too.
WTD – another event that doesn’t make use of all the main characters. Why do Stewie, Meg and Brian have no event activities to help, even if it was just for event currency. Or are they going to be used later for a new outfit that will cost clams to access.

I have more Gold eggs than I know what to do with and haven’t done Archery in a week thanks to the Mort Trolls but the other two are just a nightmare to try and collect.
Wrestling is dropping maybe a 3rd of the time.
Jousting from 6 attempts I’ve had 2 eggs and 1 lot Baskets.

Just to add to my earlier point. Can TinyCo tell me if the below is even remotely acceptable:
– It has taken me just over 5 days to collect 16 gauntlets using every available character
– This gave me 4 plays at wrestling
– Of those 4 plays, I got NOT ONE single sapphire egg
– I need 8 sapphire eggs to progress fully through week 2’s content
And this is why the players are increasingly frustrated with this game. I can’t even send Big Chris with Sir Peter to increase the odds because, of course, I haven’t unlocked him yet because…..dragons. And, you know, Sir Peter is busy collecting potions for the next visit (some time in the next day or two ffs), so he couldn’t even be free for wrestling anyway. Genius. Thanks Dev’s, this is the best fun ever. If your aim was to create a torture device then congratulations, you succeeded.

If it makes you feel any better you are sooo not alone & many of us are stuck in the same manner. I have just adjusting my attitude to ” I check in when I have time and get what I get.” I remember feeling this way about the gold eggs and I too now have more than I need, so maybe next week it will be the same with the sapphire eggs. For TinyCo though they may benefit from knowing that I would have spent $ on clams to speed things up if I knew it would benefit me receiving items to progress.. For that, they are losing revenue. I could buy items outright with clams, but that defeats the purpose of why “I” enjoy the game. I like to play and strategize; refuse to let this silly game get the best of me 🙂

WTD All the cool characters being clams based.
WTD Craigslist car sellers. The only picture of the car you post is taken from your window on the second floor? Walk your butt outside and take a photo if you expect me to hand you cash.
WTD Customer. You show up 10 minutes before close, ask your son what he wants to eat and then waste 5 minutes arguing with him? Talk it over and come back tomorrow lady.
WTD Manager. Sending someone who is not only untrained in my department, but has not even been food trained does not help me get out any faster.
WTD Other Manager. You get ticked at us for being busy doing our jobs and not having enough time to do someone else’s.
WTD Vince Mcmahon. No one other than you, your daughter and he himself think of Triple H as that big a star. Him vs Roman Reigns will go down as one of the worst main events in Wrestlemania history.

Can’t believe I’m doing this but… HHH is one of the few recognizable big names left in WWE, he’s been around for a long time and people know who he is. Wrestlemania appeals across the board, many watch the show but don’t follow the week to week product, for them HHH is a much bigger deal than someone like Rusev, Kevin Owens or Bray Wyatt, and he’s arguably the only “big star” left outside of Lesnar and Undertaker. WWE also has a lot of injured stars right now, which really doesn’t help.

The problem with the WWE is that they only know how to push one wrestler. And if that wrestler can’t get over all they do is push him even more until the fans give in.
Also the WWE is complete crap right now. All their top talent is injures, which you’d think they would use this time to get new talent over instead they just let them rot. The worst part is all the guys the WWE ignores are all more over and talented than the one guy they are pushing as the new face of the company.
Roman Reigns, you suck, are a failure, and nobody likes you! So get you’re “I’m a little tea cup” *** outta here.

First, thanks to Bunny for her excellent posting. And that is why I’m deducing.
I’m still waiting on that last sapphire egg to place miracle Max’s, an item I no longer need as Jerome got me all the bread. When that is done I need 5 more harps as Chris has been spending too much time going after gauntlets.
And now I’ve read week 3’s quest line.
I’m going to require 3 more sapphire eggs total on two separate quest lines. After that I have to get 12 gauntlets in a following phase. It currently takes me two days sending everyone I have to get 4 gauntlets.
I have Sir Peter and Westley. My only further goal for this event will be to unlock Giant Chris. Then I’m done with this event. I have 105 characters in this game but I admit it. Tinyco you’ve beat me down so I just Can’t care anymore.

The biggest issue I have with this event is too much emphasis is put on the dragon defeats required to acquire the items needed to unlock the characters who can actually fight a dragon. I didn’t buy the Black Knight because… pfff he’s not the giant or Montoya! I finally unlocked Sir Peter and although he does make potions, it’s at a snails pace. If I manage to get a hit or 2 in on a dragon I land a couple of blue scales but nowhere near what is needed for Westley. I guess I should be willing to spend all my money on this game and buy stuff like the castle, which us what, $100? Bwaaahahaha! Hex naw. I’ll just keep grinding and be happy with whatever I am lucky enough to unlock…

WTD indeed. The dragon is the most annoying aspect. I’m still trying to collect scales to unlock Westley, and I only have Sir Peter to make potions. It takes forever, plus he has other quest tasks (including one that took 24 hours) to do besides. Add to that the long cool down period after a dragon goes away until the next arrives, and that you can’t see how many potions you have while there’s no dragon, and now there’s a blue dragon that requires more potions…ARGH!
Also agree with Bunny on the drops.
And I didn’t realize Meg had a bean drop until I read it in this thread. I keep characters who don’t participate in storage.

I was able to purchase a dragon’s castle (the one the dragon pops out of) last week for 1 bean. It is an unnamed decoration sitting on a 6 x 1 block, or so, and seems to be about 66% replica – no dragon though.
What happened to this? I only bought 20… 😦

Something has got to be done about the dragons. We are now almost 48 hours into week three and since Thursday night, I have been able to fight the dragon once. And that was the dark blue one and could only take it down once. Need for the dragon to come back quicker similar to Bertram or the Yeti from Christmas 2014. Stuck on twice upon a time part 4. Still waiting on 11 scales to progress. Which also means I need lots of boogers. (That sounds so odd.)
And from reading these posts, it looks like the blue eggs are a problem too. Looking forward to that. Also, can someone explain how an event related building that collects rent pays out at the rate of 1 unit of event currency in a 24 hour period?
Bunny, I know that you have a lot on your plate, but, could we get some kind of survey? I would really like to know where everyone is. This event appears to me to be the slowest progressing one that TinyCo has done.
Also, kudos to Flaunt on his(her) earlier post. Could not have said it any better even if I paid a speech writer.

I’m at the exact same place. Need 8 scales for westley. And here comes the “black” dragon… Great. Now that it is finally gone I’m hoping for the white whic I’m also hoping that I have enough potions to defeat saved up so that I can finally get beyond twice part 4. Frustrating!! Thanks for the tips for when I can finally use them. Looking forward to the survey!

There is no skill or use of intelligence in this event. Wait 6 hours and cross your fingers. Repeat. Do not let yourself become frustrated and obsessed with these eggs. This is when it is not fun and leads to spending real money which should be used on necessities such as bills and gas.
The potions are “always” so that is what I’m focusing on. I have Sir Peter, Westley and Chris the Giant doing nothing but potions except when required by the main quest. If I just happen to get a Gauntlet, so be it. It is not something that I can control so I’m not going to allow it to ruin my day. It is a gamble. What I can control is which potions I produce.
My best advice to those that are frustrated is to get multiple hobbies and don’t obsess over this one video game.

I really wish they wouldn’t lock main quest progression behind the purchase of buildings or decorations. I did the quest part where you have to buy the troll bridge, which is completely useless, then the next part needs yet another building! And since I already had all the bread needed for Chris, this was yet another useless purchase. I still need 1 more sapphire egg for it. Its very frustrating 😦

I know what you mean. Been playing since the game first came out and this is the first event that has really disappointed me. Don’t know why but it is just so boring. Have no desire to play this event. The only reason I open my game every day while this event is live is to get the free clams from watching ad videos.

I now have over 40 yellow eggs but haven’t gotten a sapphire egg in over a week now. Bad enough that it takes 2-3 days to get enough gauntlets, they only drop about 1 out of five times, to even train for wrestling but then to never have it drop an egg. This by far has been the worst balanced event between freemium and premium. Im stuck in week two and see no hope of progression due to the sapphire egg issue.

What the deuce! My husband is honor level 7 behind me in all quests but has rodents, little red riding house to work on. What am I doing wrong? I am almost level 8 part 7 on main quest line. He is half way honor 7 and main quest part 6. He got red riding hood house over troll bridge.

Yea, verily, I was in part 4 of Twice Upon a Time and suddenly saw huge rodents, too. If I click on them, I get the instructions to get Little Red Riding Hood Stewie to clear them, and if I hit that link then I’m taken to the spot to buy grandma’s house with Stewie to unlock. So even though I can’t see page three in the bazaar, if I had sapphire eggs then I would be able to buy the house and place Stewie by going through the rodent window. Glitch or intentional? Dunno.
With sapphire eggs scarce as hen’s teeth, might be a moot point. Will see what happens when I start wrestling training soon. Finally unlocked Westley, eager for potion help, and OF COURSE part 5 makes him do a non-potion task for six hours….

As wth previous weeks, the key to advancing is collecting enough eggs to purchase the items from bazaar. With many saying they have yet to get Giant Chris, it is utterly astounding that this weeks questline line takes two of the characters used to collect stick horses and potions out of action for 36 hours (Wesley 12/Giant Chris 24). And that’s only up to part 4 and no, they can not be used concurrently.
So many characters in the game and they use the same ones in main quest which also happen to be an integral part in gathering materials. Pathetic!!

WTD @ my parents for taking me to Indiana Jones and the Raiders of the Lost Ark when I was two. They still, occasionally, bring up how they had to take me out of the theater because I was crying so much. At least that first viewing didn’t dampen my enthusiasm for the movie and I’ve watched it several times over the years, as recently as 2-3 years ago. I’m proud to say I only cried a little bit this time. 😥😛😉

I dislike that the only thing you can buy for under 10 clams is time boosts. We get crumbs of clams here and there (Chance with Jesus, watching “TV” in game, etc.) which give 1-2 each daily – but then Tinyco puts in items that cost 120-900 – and the majority of these items aren’t “cool” – they’re just crappy buildings or decoration. I love characters, I love non-movable characters too (like left-shark, samurai Lincoln, Diabeto before he became a character). Those are the things I’d consider paying on.. but NOT for so much clams. Just not worth it in my eyes.

I dislike that there is barely anything to buy with coin nowadays. I swear it used to be more like 80% coin stuff, 20% clam stuff (for the cool stuff!) in the store. Now it’s 90% Clam only stuff. Lame! Really shows how (in my opinion) greed has taken over at Tinyco.

The blue sapphire eggs are not dropping! There are not enough options to get them and then on top of that, the drops seem to be rare! They shouldn’t have something that is a rare drop be so essential to move through the basic part of the game. Very frustrating!
And, I did contact TinyCo a few days ago and they have not responded or acknowledged my message.

Agreed. I haven’t gotten one in over a week now. Granted I’ve only been able to train in wrestling 3-4 times in that week due to only getting a gauntlet about 1 out of 5 times. I’m stuck at the quest where I have to build the troll bridge and need two sapphire eggs. I’ve been trying for a week to just get one.

I am so far behind on the event. I have yet to get one sapphire egg let alone the two i need to build Max’s Medicine Shop. Then I need to go through two more sections. I’m not opposed to using clams on characters especially from the Princess Bride which is an all time favorite of mine. But I will not spend 130 or whatever it is for a building that will be useless after the event.

Each event is getting progressively worse and the grind is not worth it anymore. I’m all for a challenge but there HAS to be a sense of fun to it or what is the point? The game has just become demoralising and pointless. You should at the very least be able to pick up the free characters and costumes as a freemium player. This is how it always used to be but as each event rolls by, I have noticed that I fall further and further behind each time. This event is into its 3rd week and I have only unlocked Sir Peter. The game has ground to a halt due to the bottle neck and horrific drop rates. Sir Peter is needed for everything at the moment to allow me to progress. A quick calculation in my head based on others experiences means I will be lucky to get either Chris or Westley by the end of next week. Wow.
I log in every couple of hours but get nowhere. I am a savvy and clever player but it all amounts to nothing these days. Dragons not showing up for up to 27 hours each time? Crazy. 6 sapphire eggs needed to get all the buildings to progress through the main content when I have had only one drop in over 6 attempts? (not forgetting the time it takes to get gauntlets). Madness. In the last 3 events I have failed to get even half the FREE content and I have also noticed more and more of the total content being for clams. There is nothing to actually PLAY in the game anymore.
When I do log in, a quick few taps later and I have done. Less than 2 mins playing time. Great. It is just not fun anymore. I don’t believe for one second that these ‘adjustments’ they make are to correct horrific foresight and their part. For me, they know perfectly well what is happening and do it to get people to ‘panic buy’ at the start of events. At least, that what the game has made me…a cynic. I can’t justify my time on the game anymore when even the most basic game play and collecting is such an utter chore with little reward. Sorry, TinyCo but you have swung TOO FAR the other way. You’re game is just a money grab now and you’re greed is clear for all to see. It is also very telling that something has gone VERY wrong when even your most dedicated premium players can’t progress or get all the content either.

Agree 100%. if drop rates don’t improve shortly I’m done with this game. No new district in over 6 months and everything costs clams. Coins are worthless as are the characters / buildings once the event associated with them is over.

Totally agree. Coins need to be used more in events. Tired of having to use event currency to unlock everything. I’ve been a freemium player since the beginning and never had a problem unlocking everything until the last several events. I understand it is supposed to be hard not using clams but it shouldn’t be impossible. They are just taking all the fun and excitement out of the game.

I’m freemium too and even the first Star Trek event I got everything that was free with a few days to spare. Up to and including that event I loved this game. Starting with the event after that (mobster or palooza? I get the order mix up) I can barely get past week two, if I’m lucky, and I play 5-6 times a day, at least.

Yeah, I’ve been playing every few hours day and night but getting nowhere fast.
Still need 20 more dragon scales for Westly & still need 22 more dragon boogers for Chris, so neither of them are going to be able to help with the potions, training, questline or unlocking Little Red Riding Hood Stewie anytime soon.
The dragons are too scarce, drop too few items and require far too many potions, when all you have is Sir Peter able to drop them and you also need to send him training too. This event is utterly hopeless without spending clams. It’s probably going to end with me only getting Sir Peter and a flock of sheep!

WTD!! I have dropped at least 3 flash bombs on Mort trolls and nothing happens!!! Just dropped one this morning on 3 trolls that were clearly in the target area and nothing 😦 I know it’s not the addicts fault but can you tell me if I am doing something wrong? Is anyone else having this problem? Sorry I needed to rant about it. Thanks in advance 🙂

How close are they to that center target screen? (The dot in the middle)
Are they stopped when you drop it or still moving? (Did you tap in them to freeze them in place just before launching Flash?)

Sometimes moving sometimes not and some are close to the middle while the third one may be closer to the sides. The pain in the butt thing is that some of my flash bangs work just fine. But like every third one is a dud or something… ugh.

I just managed to hit eight at a time! That was nice… even took a screenshot of it! 🙂 but I have to say my effectiveness in troll killing has greatly improved. The key is they need to be really close in the centre of the crosshairs, as soon as they are a little bit out they don’t get caught.
