It seems that we have taken a step into story time at the local library and are tossed into some Fairytale world with some fun and unusual Characters. There are Knights, Dragons, Magic Beans, and even Damsels in Distress.
With the New Week 4/ Phase 4 upon us, we also have a New Main Questline that will take us through this week’s New Content. Week 4’s Main Questline will start us out with Happily Ever After.

I always take about a week before I decide if I’m going to be a freemium or premium player. I can almost always tell from Bunnys posts as well as everyone’s comments whether it is worth it. I have also found other clues to look for include:
1. Are enough characters being used to earn crucial items (potions) and also for new skin/character items, especially when there are several different types of crucial items (in this case three different potions). This one was very limited with using current characters and the characters used were needed for both crucial potions and new skins/characters.
2. on this one, I had a hunch it was going to be hard because they offered up so many free clams from the start. Between buying the one building, the movies, extra clam per level,etc., I have netted over 100 FREE clams this round by being a freemium player. It also looked like they spent some time and money on the excellent graphics this time.
3. Finally, I play a lot….if I am only 12 hours or so behind on week 1, then I can usually figure out a single item to buy to get me caught up immediately. This time, I was two days behind and couldn’t think of one item to buy that would really help me out. This was the type of event you needed to probably buy something each week (the birds that produced eggs) in order to stay current.
At the end of the day, I’m happy. I got a lot of free clams I will spend on another event and I will still end up with 5 or 6 extra characters. I will say, this was the hardest event in my opinion to get through. Feel free to add to the list of hints that work for you.

Hey Bunny,
I have all the characters unlocked and all the buildings. Like mentioned earlier it was a clam spending event but worth every penny. I grew up watching The Princess Bride.
I don’t know if I’ll spend any clams on the next event because I stopped watching wrestling and that sneak peek looks like a wrestling event. I think it’s from a newer episode where peter’s sister is a wrestler. Idk still have to see. Still waiting on a Harvest Moon event

Still stuck in week 3. Hopefully TC extends the cut off… I’m stuck getting RRH Stewie and Sapphire eggs…
I am dedicated and grind away. Taking time to log in once every 2 hours to collect and update tasks. This is the first event in over a year that I have been days behind on and also in danger of not unlocking the major characters you have to earn via collecting.
I have spent $40 on clams, but have tried to be strategic, after blowing the first $20 on the mystery box and getting nothing but beans and a unicorn. If there are any suggestions, they are welcome! 🙂

I forgot who mentioned it, but that egg trick worked for me.
I sent Joe to joust and received only beans. I did not press “claim”. On my tablet, I immediately returned to the home screen and forced closed the program. I restarted the game, and it still showed that Joe had completed jousting. I clicked on it and received an emerald egg.

I had real high hopes for this event, but it’s a grind. Love the event, but as a freemium player, i’m really not certain I’ll be able to complete the event. Drop rates are so ridiculous that it makes me wonder if I should keep playing. I commend you Addicts for sticking through this and getting us the details for the event. Thanks for doing what you guys do.

This certainly was not an event to be enjoyed by freemium players. Everyone seems to be facing the same issues I am: taking forever to get gauntlets, very low sapphire egg drop rates, most tasks for needed materials requiring the same few cast of characters, and not being able to progress in the game . I’ve been playing for nearly 2 years now, and never have I played an event where I got so little accomplished. No princesses, no little red Stewie, no week 4 content, and never saw Vizzini. I’m not complaining, I’m just starting where I am.

I completely agree. The event ends tomorrow and I am just now unlocking Stewies costume. I have no hope of getting either Louis or Princess Buttercup.

Amen to that. I didn’t come close to either princess. While I don’t buy clams I do plan so much of my schedule around this game to get the most out as a free player. The amount of items for the princesses was ridiculous as was the only way to get them via the dragon who shows up every 3 days.

Do you think there’s any chance TinyCo will give us an extension on this event? Surely they have to realise they’ve made this event so difficult that the majority of players, especially the freemium ones, are nowhere near finished yet.

I wish I realized that the key to the first couple weeks was the blue eggs…..I have tons of beans, countless yellow eggs, no problem with harps, arrows I will never use, 45 of the stun grenades, but I can’t get the blue eggs to buy the buildings required to advance. There is a huge imballance…..

Still stuck in phase three bc unlocking Stewie (as a freemium player) is a REAL grind bc of Sapphire Eggs low drop rate, party balls still haven’t dropped for me, and I still need one (just ONE!) Wolfsbane. Jerome is constantly on this task and he went 6 times in a row without a single drop.
I wish they would do always drops just with higher numbers required or something. Snoopy’s Town Tale does this and it doesn’t feel like I task characters for nothing, lol. Have you played this game, Bunny? I suggest you try it if you haven’t, bc they are doing an Easter themed event rn, and I LOVE that game! 🙂

Same here – had to work really hard to get the Pit of Despair Entrance a couple of days ago but so far it has all been for nothing, without a single Party Ball drop to help with unlocking Stewie!

There’s another phase already?? I’m still trying to unlock Stewie… think the Princesses are out of reach. Keep needing to use characters to get gauntlets for wrestling in order to progress so can’t get enough potions for the dragon.
Just have not been able to get anywhere this time.

Don’t feel bad, I’m nowhere near getting Stewie myself. I’ve had ONE sapphire egg drop out of about 10 attempts at wrestling. I also haven’t seen a dragon in over 2 days now. Between the extremely low drop rates with high task times and the long random dragon timers they’ve pretty much shown they couldn’t care less about fremium players. I was excited for this event too since I love the princess bride. This is the only event I’ve considered quitting this game over, it’s sad really.

I have to say, this was a clam-spending event to really get everything done in the timeframe with somewhat limited options. A shame because the theme of the event itself was neat. But I don’t think freemium folks had much of a chance here.

Not just a clam-spending event, but a serious baller clam-spending event. I bought clams, bought one of each bird and several buildings — and I’m still over a week behind. There’s no way I’m getting either princess, and Vezzini’s a long shot. I think you would have had to buy every premium character (which will then be useless forever) plus all the premium buildings, rush tasks, and pay clams for potions in order to get everything. And that’s without counting in the mystery boxes.
The artwork has been stellar this event, and I was hoping to keep a dragon or Rodent or MortTroll (sorry, I think they’re so cute) and that gorgeous castle with the curling vines… I’m so geeked about the sheep, though! I think I bought 20 so far.

Concur. I’ve been playing pretty much non stop. Can’t get any gauntlets to drop ever with all of the people that can get them going. I’ve gotten Chris, wesley, knight peter even got the building for stewie early and can’t get the gauntlets to drop ever…..Sometimes I think the games like nope you not going to get anything…
