Family Guy Addicts 
I spent tons of beans on sheep to get the 80 HP they dropped to help move to level 15, but it didn’t help me get anywhere in the event. I finished off Stewie, Chris, and Wesley by spending a few clams on items that were taking too long to collect, but the cost for anyone else was just too great. I wish they used more characters to drop items instead of making you collect items to make characters perform tasks to (hopefully) collect eggs to purchase items at the bazaar that would hopefully drop items. It was like going in circles. And the Mort trolls occasionally dropping yellow eggs didn’t help when you need other eggs. I ended the event with so many yellow eggs and so few of the others. This was definitely an event for Premium, not Freemium.

Pretty much gave up on this after last week. 3-4 days to get one gauntlet is just silly talk. It’s not like I’m a newb at this…wasn’t even close to little red riding Stew or the Princesses. Very disappointing but, I’m used to it by now.

Now that the event is over, I never got to week 4. So I had to spend 125 clams to buy books for PB (I think I spent a total of 145-60 clams to unlock her as I had just unlocked LRRStewie Tuesday night and still had about 6 more slippers and some wands to get). Once I unlock Wesley, I had to have her just to keep the two of them together (It just seemed appropriate considering the movie 😀 ). I am a little disappointed that it was extremely difficult to advance in this event, but I have always hated the “get items just to activate a timed task for the chance to collect items to unlock a character” scheme they have implimented many events ago. And of course, having over 100 characters, but less than 10 actually help in any events. Hopefully, they will eventually get the balance back to allow a challenge will still allow advancement to keep the player engaged.

I only just unlocked lois just to find out that her questline goes with the event, this happened with the star trek event aswell which I could understand given the separate location but the questlines for this event aren’t even tied to any locations so I don’t understand why this happened. I feel like it’s starting to become a waste of time trying to unlock these new characters 😕

Hi I missed the polls I’ve always been a freemium player only occasionally using earned clams in past events but this time I’ve bought clams mainly for the egg machines and saved clams I used to buy the black night I’ve unlocked all lockable characters except Lois 3 more glass slippers 49 clams to unlock still debating whether to or not n times a ticking enjoyed this event felt very lucky that my drop rates were good to unlock the characters many thanks to you guys for all your hard work for the run down on phases been really helpful 🙂

I was really hoping for a last minute extension. One more week would have made a world of difference. I just unlocked RHH Stewie yesterday, placed Vinzinni yesterday, and just now got enough scepters for Lois and books for the Princess… This will be the first event since I started playing late in October 2014 that I haven’t gotten all major characters that require items to be collected to unlock… Not even $40 in clams seemed to be of a benefit to me in this event.

I missed doing the poll but like many I hit a complete wall at the gauntlet / sapphire egg part. Despite playing constantly and actually spending some money on clams to get Black Knight and Inigo Montoya I still could only accumulate enough gauntlets to do wrestling training once every 2-3 days as they only seem to drop about 1 out of 6 times. Then the sapphire eggs only dropped about one out of five times even when sending three characters at once to training.
I finally unlocked Little Red Riding Hood Stewie last night but only because I used about 30 clams I had left to fill in the final items. I’d have to spend 400 clams to get Buttercup and nearly 800 to get Lois. I haven’t even seen the option of Vizzini yet, he’s probably a week four thing and I’m still mired in week three trying to get sapphires to drop so I can get required buildings to move on.
I’ve been playing since comic-con two years ago and this by far IMO has been the worst balanced event between freemium and premium. I’ve never finished so far behind on an event and its especially frustrating because I actually did throw some money at it given I love Princess Bride.

I had a nearly identical experience. HORRIBLY unbalanced event, absolute worst yet.
So tired of this downward trend. Have such event fatigue. Game feels more like a chore than a game. I think I’m only sticking around to get some justice over my continuing false leaderboard ban. It’s even affected my enjoyment of the show. I havent watched in months.

I have to question the accuracy of people’s responses. I find it highly suspect that more people had unlocked Little Red Riding Stewie than Chris the Giant. (Maybe very few people bothered to even answer the Stewie question?). Chris the Giant is a requirement to complete Act 2 and LRRStewie could not be fully unlocked until Act 3. Therefore anyone who unlocked Stewie MUST have already unlocked Chris the Giant.
Myself, with the event about to end, if I even want LRRStewie, I’ll going to have shell out clams to do it.

You COULD get LRRStewie (before Giant Chris) by clicking on the rodents and that would take you to through a back door to the bazaar page 3 (which you couldn’t see if you just clicked the bazaar next to the castle).

I have always loved this game, however, I am finding these events harder and harder to progress in. I play multiple times a day but the drop rates over the past few events have been so bad that it seems impossible to make any headway. I’m happy to purchase items to support the game but I feel as though you should be able to keep pace with the event without doing so. It’s heartbreaking to just be starting to make progress days before these events end. Just wanted to provide some feedback.

Thanks for doing this, Bunny! I’m sorry I missed participating (though my answers are pretty much in line with everything above) but I really like seeing how others are doing and feeling. I’m curious on the Premium player results on how many clams were bought (roughly/on average) for the different answers. No idea how you could do that in a poll, though. I’m just thinking how I’m technically a Premium player because I spent $40 on clams for this event (2 sets of $19.99 packages – once before the special offers and once for the special offer with potions). I wouldn’t say it’s impossible to move forward completely, but there’s no way I’m going to get Vezzini or either of the princesses, despite said clams. I’ve placed Vezzini and as of yesterday had also placed all the buildings for his items, but I’ve only had one item drop once. I’ve made peace with missing out on those characters, but I did want to get that (freakin’ hard) castle from the bazaar. My fault, I guess, for not ditching Vezzini and his buildings so I could save the materials (especially the beans) for the castle.
I guess the tl:dr version is I think wayyyyy too much about this stuff. 🙂

There are a few statistics that I don’t get.
56% have unlocked Red Riding… but only 50% have unlocked the Giant?
More people have unlocked Red, even when it comes After unlocking the Giant? —
Also 60% are stuck in Twice upon a Time.. but Red comes at “Thrice upon” (or week 3), and that is after completing “Twice upon 9”.. does it make any sense?
For “Twice upon pt. 8” you need the Giant unlocked, and a 6 hrs task performed – I think more than 50% ought to have the Giant by then… and if 56% have Red… they are supposed to be at Thrice upon… not “Twice” like the 60% reported.

Nope. Keep in mind people can, will, and do skip questions. So you can’t compare one to another as everyone polled may not have answered the question.

I came back for this event to see if things had gotten better. Sadly, I don’t think I will stay after the event. I play literally all day long outside of my 5-7 hours of sleep and was not able to complete the event as a free player. Seeing as my old premium characters are still useless outside of their events, I’m not going to spend $10 on any of the premium characters just to get some more characters that will be useless after the event. Obviously this is working for them financially, but it’s not gonna work for me. Maybe I’ll try again in a year and see if things have changed, but I won’t hold my breath.

I found this event to be very frustrating – even checking in every couple of hours I have not unlocked Red Riding Hood Stewie or either of the Princesses.

I didn’t get to participate in the poll, but I’m what you’d call a premium player, yet, since I play on a Kindle, I feel like I’m so far behind that it’s pointless to continue. The event was released two days behind everyone else for Kindle players, so I’m forced to do the same amount of tasks in less time. An extra week might do a lot of good.
I do have a theory, though. Once you spend clams (or money to buy clams), your game is flagged as premium. When that happens, TinyCo purposely makes tasks harder so you feel more compelled to spend clams again. I know we have a choice if we want to spend clams or not, but when things don’t drop like they should, or in the case of this event, a lot of the items needed are tagged as “rare”, but dropped like they were ultra rare or epic because they started out as almost impossible to get. So, I feel to even compete in this event, I needed to spend clams to get the different eggs. However, I am not buying the item that drops ruby eggs, because being this close to the end of the event, I feel that it would be a waste of clams.
I did buy potions so I could defeat a dragon to be able to get closer to unlock Cinderella Lois, but there’s a very good chance that I won’t be able to unlock her. I’m not even trying for Buttercup. The dragons should have been programmed to appear every 12-24 hours and not several days between showings.
I will say one thing, though. This has been the first, mostly glitch free event in a very long time. So, at least there’s that.

I’m still in phase 3 and won’t progress further. Have Giant Chris and Westley now in addition to Sir Peter, so picked up at least 3 new characters with still a chance at a 4th. Stopped working on dragons/princesses and the main questline. Still trying for Little Red Riding Hood Stewie, need 11 red capes and those #%!? party balls. Bought the building that drops capes with those precious #%!? eggs since with a six hour task, need two sources to have a chance (Chris alone won’t do it). Hopefully with two hour drops, I’ll be able to get those #%!? party balls in time if I get lucky with those #%!? gauntlets to go wrestling for more of those #%!? eggs needed… ‘Scuse my French. Yea, verily. Forsooth.

This theme while good in theory was way to hard to achieve goals. When the princess items that depend mostly on defeating the dragon which appears every 3-4 days made it incapable of getting the princesses.

I missed out on the poll but I just want to say in my opinion, this has been the worst event yet. I just started part 3 this afternoon and the event ends in 2 days! It’s been very disappointing. I’ve always bought a few premium characters and clams during events, but this time refused to because what’s the point? Unfortunately, the events have been down hill since early last year and it seems to have culminated in this. I’ve never agreed with others when they said TinyCo is just making the events a cash grab, but after this, I agree. Hopefully the next event will be much better. Honestly, if I hadn’t already spent time and money on this game, I think I’d be done now, which is sad since it was at one point my favorite game.

No real increase in drops for me. I believe Red Riding Hood Stewie is the last character I can get. Princesses and Vizzini are pipe dreams for me.
The real flaw to this event has been the eggs…they should have had Mr. Washee Washee make Egg Drop Soup to help 🙂 or better yet, they really needed a rooster…the hens needed a rooster to get them to pop out the eggs 🙂 🙂

I completely gave up as of Sunday. I did the math and there was no way I was going to acquire much else. I got Westley, Sir Peter and Giant Chris and a few buildings and such but that was it. Of course maybe I could have if the event had hit for the Amazon fire on time. Advancing past Twice Upon was an absolute chore. It took forever to acquire the last building due to coming up empty handed on eggs/gauntlets. I was having the same issue with Thrice once I got there too.
I can’t speak for anyone else but aside from the complaints up above my game has been riddled with bugs. Constant lagging and crashing. Not saving progress, etc.
I dunno, I’m a willing spender sincerely. I fork out dough on TSTO all the time and I’ve purchased some clams here and there but considering the late start and frequent errors there was NO WAY I was spending any money on this event. That sucks too because I freaking love The Princess Bride.

I gave up on this event when I saw the Scepter drops suffered from the same problem as Scales drops. There is just no way to get even get half the number needed just to unlock Buttercup from defeating the Dragon.
I’m currently at Thrice Upon A Time Part 4 where you need to buy the Pit Of Despair or whatever its called to progress, but I didn’t want to waste sapphires on that and instead bought the Tree that dropped potions to unlock LRRH Stewie. It was a great call because I got the 2 needed very quickly. All I need to get Stewie is 1 more purple plant and I’m done with working on this event like I care. I’ll see if I can unlock more buildings by getting sapphires, but I’m not going to be upset without them.
My Quahog is overrun with ROUSs I can’t get rid of. There must be over 20.

Unfortunately I didn’t see the poll, but I can agree with the majority of the answers. I feel like there’s no chance to catch up. I’ve given up on trying to get to the 3rd Phase and focusing on getting Little Red Riding Hood Stewie and some decorations. I always send 2 people to joust, wrestle, etc., and I found the drop rates were higher. I think I went from Freemium to Premium in this event when I bought 2 Sapphire Egg Eagles.

I’m still stuck in phase 2. Only have red riding Stewie on the board because of the backdoor way to place him and the drops for gauntlets/sapphire eggs are so low I won’t get him. Nowhere near even getting a princess as I just had my dragon respawn last night after more than 72 hours, and has been the case the whole event. I never expect to finish anything as a freemium player, but as someone on layoff who can log in constantly (about 15-20 times a day lol), and being no where near even the middle of an event that ends in 2 days, it’s clear they made this one ectremely impossible unless you’re a premium player. And that, that makes me a sad panda.

As a fremium player since the Egyptian thingy where you got Cleveland, I’ve always at least managed to get all the free characters up to now.
The events have increasingly gotten harder – with the usual things everyone talks about … But this is officially the first event where I’ve been so far behind I’m not even going to get all the free characters. Still having difficulty getting Stewie due to gauntlet drops to be able to wrestle to eggs to get buildings to get resources (same thing everyone complains about) and not through lack of trying. As the event ends in 2 days, I know I won’t get Buttercup or even see Vizzini.
The sad part is that this event got me really excited as a fan of the Princess Bride, so it’s upsetting not to get far.
I did ponder paying clams for Inigo and Fezzik, but with the lack of being able to use characters again after an event and the fact that I seem to have millions packed away not being used already, I decided not too.
I sure hope they don’t continue with the increasing difficulty. When I started playing, I was able to complete virtually every event and unlock every free character with hard work. These days it seems no matter how hard you try, it’s just not possible.
I’ll keep playing. I enjoy the game. Just frustrating being so far behind even when putting in time and effort.
Anyhow – thanks for all the info and help you guys do. You don’t get enough appreciation for it.

Looks like the sapphire eggs stopped a lot of progress but I will be happy if I get Princess Buttercup to add to Little Red Riding Stewie. I’ve worked hard to get those, just need a dragon to show that drops books and I should be sorted. Been an enjoyable but tough event with some the drops. Guess it’s kept me out of mischief these last few weeks. Thanks for sharing the data Bunny.

I’m stuck in thrice upon a time part 7, as i need to unlock rrhstewie to advance. I need 5 more sapphire eggs to get the last two buildings to help stewie. I need 12 more capes and two party balls left, it’s been over 8 days trying as i saw my third weekly challenge dwindle from what 7 days to 0 i was able to do everything except get rid of 1 rous, kinda feel robed on that. Anyways i need 5 sapphire eggs in 2 days highly unlikely seeing it takes 2 days to get 4 gauntlets and i have only 1 right now. But i have well over 6 emerald eggs that i cant use becouse page 4 won’t open till i unlock stewie. Can someone say bottleneck. Oh well if they dont extend the event I’m pretty much stuck so now i just can’t wait for it to be over.

Lack of any concern from TinyCo, despite having spent real money on this game and lack of forward movement on this event has me dumping the game from my tablet. Hope you recover soon!

Pretty sad that as long ago as this poll was taken I’m still stuck in the exact same place. I’ve managed to collect two more red capes and 5 more picnic baskets for red riding hood stewie but otherwise my results haven’t improved one single bit since this poll was taken! Still can’t get gauntlets or sapphire eggs to get the party ball building from the bazaar, still don’t feel it’s worth continuing to play. Interesting, in all the previous events with polls like these a week after the poll has been done and posted, we can usually look back and say “well at least tiny Co heard our pleas for help and adjusted accordingly.” Sadly, I don’t think I can say the same for this event at all. I could have really enjoyed this event if I could have seen/played the majority of it and actually had a fair shake at completing it, I do so love the princess bride. Sadly, the execution was way off on this one. This is honestly the first time I’ve felt that tiny Co has really failed on an event from the start. Thanks so much for putting together these polls, it really does help to see that others are also stuck in the same place as you are!

With just over two days left I don’t think I can progress much further. I just placed Vizzini yesterday so pretty doubtful I can unlock in time. Buttercup and Cinderella Lois are also nowhere near unlocking. The long timers and doubled up/stacked tasks were a hindrance for this event. The more time that goes by the less I’m willing to spend clams because it’s become evident that nearly everything purchased is going to remain obsolete afterward.

thanks for doing these polls, i think it’s interesting to see most people usually have the same feelings as I do. I’m assuming you share this with TinyCo but if most of these polls traditionally have people saying they are far behind and can’t finish the event on time and give up, why is this not addressed for future content, seems like it just happens over and over. Just curious..

You may not see it from your end… but I do notice changes in game on mine. Most for the better. However their overall modal game has not differed from day one and peed pants/kingdom of full moon events. It may seem like it… but that’s the same thing we’ve seen over n over since 2014. Some events played out better, but difficult events have always been there. Players are more vocal now as the “new” has worn off and they’re noticing more items and repetitive nature’s in the game. I never got peed pants in that event and without the “glitch” wouldn’t have got king butt either or many of those items.

Some players may have given more responses to one question than another. I see it all the time. I see overall as well as individual response. Some questions are skipped completely so the % can have variables

With a little over two days remaining, I only just placed the building that drops the last two items for Red Riding Hood Stewie. After those drop, I am done until the new event drops this weekend. Usually we see an increase toward the end of an event, but I think my drop rates for gauntlets was worse as we got closer to the end. I have stopped worrying about finishing events even as a ex-part time premium player (no more money for you TinyCo!). I play a lot and still can’t advance through events. I also have noticed that my notifications aren’t as consistent any more. They used to be spot on and I could go in and collect and resend right away, but I have noticed that sometimes I don’t get notifications for a couple of hours and people are just waiting to be collected and resent. That contributes negatively to my progress as well. I would love to know what TinyCo is seeing and if this strategy is working for them because it sure isn’t for me. One or two more events like the last few and the game will be deleted for good. I guess it makes sense to have TinyCo drive out those who aren’t supporting the game financially, but I stopped mostly because of them (Christmas leaderboards!), so I don’t view it as “my fault”.

This event really seems to make it clear what kind of game this is turning into. I am not sure I can keep playing this game and not feel like I am accomplishing anything because I don’t play premium. It feels like item drops are related to how much you spend.

I can tell you that’s wrong. Freemium game drops have been better than my Premium game that I use over 20 thousand+ Clams per event

It doesn’t make any sense to me that the majority of people unlocked LRRH Stewie, yet the majority of people are also only on the quest Twice Upon a Time. Doesn’t LRRH Stewie become unlockable in Thrice Upon a Time?

These poll results are confusing. 93% have placed RRH Stewie in their game (only 6.8% answered they hadn’t reached him yet) but only 32% have reached the phase 3 questline. How can you place him whilst still being in the week 2/week 1 questline which 68% supposedly are.
Am I analysing this too much lol?

Over analyzing. Many found that Questline took them granny’s house even though not in the Phase, they could still place him. Then there’s the two separate items… “place” vs “have”. Place means the building linked to their trapped character is in the game. Have means they collected all materials to unlock him completely.

I had only just unlocked Westly when I filled in this, and manged to unlock Chris shortly after, but an unexpected 3 day stay in hospital has all but killed my chances of getting any further. I have managed to get to Stewie, and am putting everything into trying to unlock him before the end of the week, but given the extremely poor drop rate of items (Yes I know, “they are dropping as expected”) I will have to be very lucky to get what I need to make this happen. I refuse to spend clams to fix poor drop rates. A few more events like this and I think I will have to put this game away, as it it just not fun to play anymore.
It is interesting to see that even people who spent money also feel like they are not where they should be. I wonder what they spend their money on? The characters or the buildings that drop items? If they purchased the characters that would appear to support the fact that the drop rates from the dragon/training ground were not performing as they should to make this achievable.

I decided to actually spend some money on this event when it launched, since I liked the fairytale theme. I got the medium beanstalk and golden goose right off the bat, little did I know that Mort trolls would render both useless. I only just managed to get the Sapphire egg I needed to get granny’s house, I’m really disappointed I won’t be able to get RRH Stewie before the event closes.

For me this is the first event I have gone premium. I’ve never seen the film or the corresponding episode of FG, but I just loved the look of this event.
I bought the mini and medium greenhouses, the castle in the sky, the black knight, all 4 of the egg producers, roughly 50ish of each potion and 1 set of 3 flash bangs. Other than the final challenge, and sidequests I have finished the main questline and got all unlockable characters.
I’m glad that I bought what I did as they definitely helped me in this event. However, I wouldn’t go premium very often as things usually go to inventory when they serve me no purpose and I’ve regretted purchases in the past. Not the case this time, I’ve used my left over beans on 100’s of walls and turrets – turning the whole of my town into a castle with a massive sheep farm, wish there were cows also.
Gauntlets…. what can I say other than they drove me crazy in their low drop rate. Dragons…. I got roughly 3 dark – never defeated, about 7 light blue – twice defeated, the rest white – always defeated.
Overall this has been my favourite event (played since july ’15) but 100% I would not have completed it without clams – I wouldn’t have even come close, maybe half way through wk2 at best.

I just unlocked Little Red Riding Hood Stewie a minute ago so I managed to achieve my personal goals. This means this event is finished for me now, and I’m fine with what I’ve achieved! 🙂
I agree, this was a really tough event to play – and definitely impossible for freemium – but I don’t mind, I was not planning to get everything as I knew it wasn’t possible. Managing expectations 😉

My drops definitely changed for smacking dragons to gain scales and whatnot as I unlocked Giant Chris and Westley shortly after this poll was put up, but past that I’ve completely given up. I finally got enough eggs to buy Troll Mort Bridge (which was a pain since gauntlets weren’t dropping to speak of), and now I have to buy an unneeded bakery or something in order to progress (which obviously means more gauntlet farming and more egg farming)…
To give an idea of how bad it is for me, I’ve played this game since it launched on Amazon’s App Store. I know my way around it fairly well. Same with Tapped Out, but I “retired” from it a time ago and came back just for the Stonecutters event. I (amusingly) thought the event TO is doing now was the B Sharps and jumped back in and have absolutely killed the $pringfield event to the point I’m almost completely done with nearly everything with a week left. Here? I obtained 3 characters and feel as if I’ve faceplanted into a brick wall with how slow/nonexistent progression seems at times.

Thank you for this, I feel much better. I bought two premium things, and it still wasn’t enough to get anywhere close to complete. I hope they throw an easy quest in, just for motivation.
