Just got enough helmets for peter’s outfit. First progress in a week. Looks like I have a long way to go before I get to week 4.

When will I see Roger in the tanker? I’m on boom and doom 6 and the gate is on the ground. Do I have to finish boom and doom, wait for the clock to run out on the skater chicks or something else?

Is he not there on Page 4? (Or Page 1 depending how you scroll through it)

Same issue here, I tapped the gate button to start week 4 when ready but it didn’t grant me access to page 4 items yet. The crisis level requirement has now been reduced to level 9. I’m at level 10; no problem there!
So, I’ve assumed that I must work through all the main quest parts and have unlocked Armageddon Peter therefore I could finally get past part 3 and have been doing nothing but quest tasks for the last day or so. I’m now up to part 10 with just Stan and Bonnie’s actions to go – hopefully that’s all I need to complete for Roger to appear; just a few more hours to go. I have over 100 twinklies stocked up with nothing left to buy – bring on week 4!
LikeLike
Tapping the gate is just one part (see above), you still need to complete the entire questline.
LikeLike
Yep, I completed part 10 and that allowed me to gain access to page 4 with Roger!
Think I’m done with this event now as there’s probably not enough time to collect for his warrior costume.
LikeLike
Wow, so are most people already up to part 10? I’m still stuck on part 3 to get apoc. Peter with only 14 helmets. Pretty disappointing that Ollie and Comdr. Jesus don’t have any tasks to help out with anything after finally acquireing them. At least imperator ( did you all have to google that? I did!) Lois was pretty easy
LikeLike
Me, too. I only have 12 helmets for Peter out of 32 needed and am stuck in Part 3 of the Phase 3 questline.
Ollie can be unlocked without the last two phase 3 buildings, he already has enough raincoats and the Goldman trading post has provided all but one of the microphones needed since early Thursday when I triggered his timer. I need 40 more Twinklies to get the last building, I won’t need its microphone drop.
I’m midway through level 9 and it let me do the final gate upgrade but I can’t see the final page of stuff yet. If it lets us buy stuff on the phase 4 page once the building collections on the phase 3 page are complete, I might still be able to get Roger if I can collect for him and if I can manage to get Twinklies to buy any stuff essential for that. Probably too many ifs – sorry, Roger. But if Peter’s costume is needed first and I really have to get up to Part 10 first, no way at the current helmet collection rate.
Consuela isn’t much help in the event. Her gasoline task is 12 hours long and she drops just a tiny number. Odd for a premium character, although I don’t usually get them in time to do much in an event so maybe that’s normal. I get more gas from Bonnie, who is sometimes dropping several now whenever Lois saves her, plus she drops a light bulb on her 8 hour task.
I will gladly trade smoke bombs for gasoline or light bulbs … With 14 furniture stores, I have hundreds of them!

12 helmets left for Peter. Started Ollie since I have all the buildings. We’ll see if it works.

Sent an in-game message about the helmet problem and just got back a canned response about how they checked and all the drop rates are working correctly. While it was a quick response, it annoyed the heck out of me. Have no idea if a real person will ever see what I sent. 😦

They see it. Regardless if you get an automated or not response, they see it. It still takes a report as to what you messaged in about.

I am almost certain I’ll have Lois’ Imperator outfit before I have Peter’s. I only need three items to complete hers (though two are extra-rare), while I need a dozen or so helmets for Peter’s, and I’m lucky to get 2 of those a day.

Bunny, do you know if TinyCo if offering any help for Motorcycle Helmets for Apocalypse Peter so we can move past Part 3 of the questline?
I thought enough players are stuck at this point and enough of us have complained that they would offer serious help like they did with Cleveland Jr when they removed him from the questline and increased the tuba drop rates.
I’m tempted to spend 98 Clams to get Apocalypse Peter. I need 7 more Motorcycle Helmets. That’s 14 Clams per helmet. Do you think it’s worth rushing for $4 basically? I feel like that would be giving in to this serious issue, but I’m running out of patience for them to fix it.

Honestly…. I am always AGAINST spending Clams unless you really really want to. I would suggest to maybe wait and see what Phase 4 brings and see if it is helpful for you before wasting Clams to speed him up

Thanks again Bunny. Was looking for any reason why I was so far behind on the Crisis levels despite logging in regularly. But reading through recent comments can see that most people are struggling with this as well. It would be helpful to be able to see the number of CPs needed & collected for each Crisis level. And of course lower the number of CPs needed to advance to the next Crisis level:)

I just finally (and deliberately) triggered Ollie’s timer even though I’m far away from buying the last two buildings to generate raincoats and microphones for him. I was happy to see that if I run out of time waiting for drops, it will cost only 30 clams to buy all six rare microphones and only 50 clams to buy all five rare raincoats (which also drop from Goldman’s trading post), less if a few drop. That’s a stress reliever… Ollie, maybe we can set you up in the youth hostel. You’re only as young as you feel.
Imperator Lois can also drop raincoats but she might need to be free to save Bonnie. Will see once I get one more pair of goggles for her.

You don’t need Peter unlocked to get Lois. Just keep going to get the building that drops her gun asap – it’s a rare drop but just one drop is needed since it gives the two guns at once. The other stuff won’t take long to collect completely Apocalypse Peter-less. I only have 12 helmets for Peter but Imperator Lois has been in my game for a while, generating gas cans from hapless Bonnie.

Wow, I am sorely disappointed. I clicked on Peter’s question mark and it brought me to Unlabeled Rations Box for 6 Toilet Paper. You had 3 chances to buy the box and win random prizes like gas cans, cure darts, nets, light bulbs. Each time I got 10 Cure Darts which I have plenty of right now. Now I have 67 Cure Darts. LOL. Why doesn’t the game look for what you need? Everyone needs gas cans and light bulbs right now. That’s the main item in the trading post.
What has been everyone’s else luck in buying the unlabeled rations box?

I have spent a few clams in the event (not loads; mostly to get Commander Jesus in time before getting Stan) but have the same problem as many others here. Motorcycle helmets x32 rare! I am mostly only sending Neil as I figured Stan should concentrate on the bulbs for roach zappers (or else progress on the prize line would be even slower). Without AP I am therfore stuck at boom and doom part 3. Even once the.helmets dropped I will the rest of the task line to catch up on before he next phase… and that’s if I can get enough twinkies (currently 11/103 for the 2nd last prize). Will probably have to buy out the raincoats for Ollie. Should get Lois soon… just need the building to drop the 2 guns. Also only just reached crisis level 9!
All after we thought they had turned a corner with phase one being so much more playable!

Just curious are you getting less page views to this site than before? I see a lot of people on Facebook saying they are done with the game (for all the obvious reasons) and I’m ready to bail on this game too. Its way too frustrating than fun at this point. I’m also only 30% complete on the helmets for Peter which is ridiculous.

For one, I avoid their Facebook like the Plague as I do not trust 99% of what is posted there. Trolls and keyboard jockies own the place. Full of abuse and vulgarities. My site is still used a lot on a daily basis. More daily then many get in a month. Probably due to I focus on stats, details, and HELP. Not just a place to burn fires and tear each other down.
As for the game, it always has its ups and downs… goods and bads… if it is something that does not suit you or is not enjoyable for you, please go find something that is. Games are meant to be fun. This one is not easy and will always be a challenge, so not many will like it if they prefer “tap and done” games. You will need focus, times, and strategy to get places. Not one simplistic players will like at all. You’re welcome to jump to our OTHER site if you’re looking for something more simplistic in a “tap and done” type game. 🙂

Because I don’t need those, as I will be able to unlock Olli without them and I would LOVE to save my Twinkie things…
I know you might not know, with the next phase over a day away….. But I just want to ask anyway.

Unfortunately, you MUST get all the items on the page to keep moving forward (minus the timed ones of course) but that is moving to the next page of items, not necessarily the Next Phase. In short, you will need to eventually get them.

I think Bonnie’s real value is that she has a task that collects light bulbs. But to get those light bulbs, you need to keep rescuing her… Hence my push to get Imperator Lois to rescue Bonnie. I agree that Bonnie has to do too much running for just one lousy gas can, but it must be in her contract. Her tasks seem to often be either guaranteed to destroy her liver or keep her very thin (so she can continue to drink massive quantities of alcohol).

Complete garbage.

Don’t worry – you don’t need those building drops or Peter to get Ollie. The Goldman Trading Post drops plenty of microphones. Imperator Lois drops enough raincoats, so focus on getting her building for the two guns (rare drop but you just need one, the two guns are dropped at once). And if that doesn’t work in time, bypassing the raincoat or microphone requirement doesn’t require many clams. Just 5 or 6 clams per missing piece.

Wondering what the status of CP levels is for everyone. I had all the characters last week and still took until Sunday to get enough CP points to launch Phase 3. I am not even halfway down the meter for Level 8 and now we need 11. Even if I get lucky and can finish Peter’s skin and advance the quest line, I am not sure I will even reach level 11 by the end of the event. Is there something I am doing wrong that results in large amounts of CP points that I am not doing? I spent all my TP to get to level 8 and barely have any left and I have everything crafted in the Stockpile Tanker except the Human Fort and the Roller Chicks. Shouldn’t advancing through the quest lines and crafting all the items to get all the characters/skins be enough to give you what you need to have?

I am in the same position, and asked the same exact question. I wrote to TinyCo, and have not heard back from them.

I seem to get my crisis points mainly from zapping Stewie diligently and also from buildings – including several with apocalypse skins I bought with toilet tissue rolls. I prioritize the toilet paper collectors when reverting mutants to human form, then the net collectors although I am drowning in nets so TP is my main focus.
I just got into level 9. It will take me a long time to get the last two required buildings for phase 3 anyway (need them for Ollie, whose timer I need to start in a few hours regardless since other buildings won’t drop stuff for him until he’s triggered and I’ll only have 7 days left anyway). I’m always especially short on gasoline cans so trading for Twinklies is awfully slow now.
I doubt I’ll get into phase 4 or else won’t go far. i only have 5/32 helmets for Peter and need him to progress. His outfit is too ugly to waste clams on so I won’t. I’ll use clams on Ollie if absolutely needed and it’s not too expensive. (did that for Commander Jesus, 75 precious clams to bypass Stan’s task since I needed one or two more days to get him). I did finally buy Alien since besides being helpful with syringes, I figured he would be great to have wandering around in Halloween season. Plus he has an adorable screech. No buyer’s regret although for a while I thought he was too ugly to purchase. Now I’m getting fond of him/her/it. Sometimes you have to look at a character with a mother’s eyes to get past the superficial….

It looks my plan of attack of staying on Phase 2 while getting items by only collecting 6 Twinklys is a success so far. I’m almost done unlocking the fifth item, which will be done in a few hours. I plan to unlock the rest before Phase 4 starts and start stockpiling.
I would be way ahead of the game if it wasn’t for the fact I need to get 32 Helmets for Apoc Peter with Neil and Apoc Stan. I’m currently at 9 and the drops have been consistent. If I didn’t have to remove them from Dart duty that stockpile would be huge and I would move to getting 8 Twinklys. Having just those two to get them is the only negative about this event so far along with the excessive amount of Helmets needed. For that number it should have been Common drop.
Commander Jesus is only a few hours away from unlocking with me needing 1 Bomb. The drops were going great until the last 5 when the building decided to say “nope”. I still have Brian, who isn’t doing anything, as a fail safe in case the building fails to drop again.

Drops were good and she had a task to drop an item for Ollie, now I don’t need her on that I let her wander off task as Bonnie is getting chased by the Mutant motorcycle every few hours and Lois can then immediately save her.

Buying the buildings and items in the Stockpile Tanker are going to be your single best option for CP, since those will give you the biggest “chunks” of CP. Beyond that, just grind out as many Mutant Stewie bombings and Mutant curings since those will both give you CP. And buy and use all the building skins (except for Buddy Cianci Jr High, since that will kill a Smoke Bomb drop), since those will also get you CP.

For those of you like me who are holding off on entering Phase 3, I’m going to try something. Having Stan on his “Twinklies Wrappers” task beforehand is a no-brainer. I’m also going to have Bonnie on her Lightbulb-collecting task (since she’s not doing anything else anyway), but will hold off on doing the “Mutants on Motorcycles are Coming!” task in case that is what starts her being chased. I’ll let you guys know how that works out in, oh…about 8hr. At the very least I should be able to pick up one Lightbulb right off the bat if I can finish her task right after starting the Phase.

Hi Bunny –
First, thanks for all you and your team do on this website – very informative and helpful.
I hope Tiny Co does read these posts and take into account some of the great points people make – the recent WTD posts are an excellent example of constructive criticism.
At this point, I’ve managed to keep pace through the first two phases, but I can see where I will fall behind in phase 3 to the point of discouragement. So far, the items I’ve purchased (in random order):
Warhead crater (smoke bombs)
Mr. Cigs (cigs)
Gas Pump (gas cans)
Dart machine (darts)
Alien (chance of dart)
Stan’s trailer (+4)
Electric Boogie (zapper)
(In hindsight, the warhead was not necessary – 8 furniture stores were cheap and provide more than the daily requirement of smoke bombs.)
I’ve also used as much TP as possible to get Boomsday building skins as that helps with CP, but probably only have three or four.
I was able to unlock Stan and CJ with some expenditure of clams to hasten neutralization, but was generally pleased without having to throw gobs of clams at either. However, I have been using clams of late to speed neutralizations as it’s the only way to try and keep up with the fish, mutants and roaches…but that’s not going to happen for the whole event – clams can ring up the $$…
At this point, I’ve pretty much given up on Ap. Pete as Neil is dedicated to darts, and hope to get Im. Lois before the end. Ollie’s going to be a lost cause as obtaining Twinkies is slow going at this point – yes, I could spend more clams to get more drops, but after $60 in two weeks, I don’t feel the need or desire…I really don’t want this to be a WTD post, but a statement on my progress…, so I’ll try and temper my remarks…
One note on people who complain about unlocking characters too early and starting timers: I did see at least one complaint about a timer starting and the player’s game having issues allowing them to play, so that’s a legitimate complaint. But in general, Tiny Co has trained us all well to tap first and ask questions later (it’s a business!), so if you start the timer and don’t mean to, well, that’s a shame to quote George Costanza. I unlocked CJ just as Ollie appeared, so of course my natural instinct was to tap (huh, wonder what this is, whoops, gulp…). So be it…
So my constructive criticism:
I work in R&D/product development, so I know the desire and drive to make things bigger, better, more complicated/sophisticated, cooler than the last product, but at some point, KISS is the way to go.
Yes, this event is cool, lots of ‘stuff’, but Tiny Co needs to understand it needs to be fun and engaging for those who can’t spent too much money or don’t have a lot of time to dedicate to the game. Personally, I’m willing to spend some, but after $60, two+ weeks, and the realistic prospect of falling behind without a chance of catching up, my desire to throw good money after bad has dropped significantly, as in to zero…
I feel sorry for the people who don’t have the resources, started the game to see what it’s like only to have multiple characters drop out of the game and wander around as mutants until the event ends…with no way of unlocking them other than intermittently…
Remember, Tiny Co,, this is fun and it’s entertainment, so don’t frustrate your customer base. We love this game – love us a back every now and then, that’s all we ask!
Thanks again, Bunny, you guys do a great job! I hope Tiny Co reads your site.

Im actually extremely pleased with the event so far. I had taken a few months off playing but was lucky to join again right before this event started. In the main quest line I still don’t have stewie or carter unlocked which made things tough.
As far as the event, I got through week one on time, didn’t unlock Sidewalk joe but moved on to week two. Also missed the timer for commander Jesus, had all his items except the last two tasks and couldn’t bring myself to use clams.I just TODAY unlocked Neil, with only Peter and Herbert giving dart drops things moved slow and I couldn’t bring myself to switch Herbert to acne cream which meant I was using only joe and the building for the ultra rare acne cream drop…. It took a while.
But now I’m still in week two, almost have enough twinklies for Armageddon Stan, and I have 3 people doing dart drops and multiple people on water bottles. Per the advice of another member I’m staying in week two to stockpile twinklies using the ciggerettes and water bottles as the exchange option. I’m gonna save enough so when I move into week 3 I can breeze through the stockpile tanker.
I won’t probably even get to week 4, but this event will net me lots of new buildings, at least two new characters, possibly more if I manage to get Ollie, and an insight as to how to get through future events better. I think people’s main problem is that they feel they NEED to get everything in an event which isn’t the case. I don’t consider this event a failure even with how far behind I am, at least I am having some fun. Yes drop rates are slow, but I think events like this were made so that MOST people won’t complete them, you have to be methodical, punctual and borderline “addicted” to complete everything…. But that’s OK!! Anyway now that I’m rambling… Happy gaming everyone!

Since Thursday I’ve been trying 24/7 to get the remaining helmets for Peters costume. Still have TWELVE to go. Wrote to TC explaining situation. Are they even aware most players don’t even have him and will be nowhere near completing this weeks quest?

Thanks bunny – I’m still stuck at part 3 while I slowly gather helmets for Peter – I’m at 11/32. I send Stan and Neil every 4 hours – been doing this for over 3 days for both (longer for neil). The drop rate seems about 50% for Neil and a little less for Stan. I know this is the slow down for most players too (I messaged tinyco yesterday where my stats were and the drops). With Bonnie being chased for the past 5 days this severely limits options for lights to kill roaches (both Stan and Bonnie unavailable to gather) so I only get a pair every 16 hours (from the one building drop) and another 3 hours to clear the roaches – and I grab the 15 twinkies – it’s a major slowdown (and I’m on the building right before the one w guns to complete Lois). I’m hoping they take yours and others feedback to adjust this part of the game – or at least not have the same rates for the final week.

Not having Armageddon Stan is the roadblock for me because of his near non existent required material drops so I’m stuck on part 3. Once I finally get him I will be able to fly through the rest of the parts.

None of my buildings with event skins are dropping Crisis Points so haven’t been able to accumlate enough to advance to Level 8 despite earning them regularly clearing mutant stewies, completing questline and getting Stan. Have messaged TinyCo but no response. Thought you had posted something about an issue with the skins but couldn’t find the post.

The Destroyed Skins originally didn’t drop CP, but they fixed that fast. They are all dropping CP. What ones do you see that are not dropping still?

I was only getting CPs from the event ones, none of the buildings with skins. But I had been using Consuela’s vacuum to collect. I figured out if I tap on those buildings with skins instead, I get the CPs.
And thank you Bunny for all your hard work. Would never be able to get through an event without this site.

If you use the Vacuum…. they automatically collected for you. You won’t see visual drops when using the Vacuum. 😉
