With Case 2 of The Hauntening event, we also get some new Character’s Costumes. Like Demon Hunter Joe!
Let’s take a look at what Demon Hunter Joe can do in our silly lil games.
Demon Hunter Joe is a New Character Costume added during Case 2 of The Hauntening 2016. As with many costumes in the game in order to get him you have to collect lots of stuff! You will see him right from the start in the shopping cart, but you will also be directed to unlock him via the Good Joe Hunting questline. Tapping on Go will take you to Al’s where he can be made.

12 Elder Wheels (Common): Quagmire Dig Deep OR Madame Z’s Psychic Center OR Demonic Motor Vehicles
8 Mutton Chops (Uncommon): Help Meg Face Her Demons
8 Fancy Hats (Rare): Bruce Investigate Conspiracy Theories OR House of Possessed Armor (Concierge)
13 Necronomicon (Rare): Sheriff Peter Take a Taco Break OR Seamus Speak in Tongues OR Quahog National Bank OR Anal Point
Once you have finished collecting all the Materials his Costume requires, it will just take you one second to finish up and “CREATE!” the Costume in Al’s. When the timer is up, just tap on the Check Mark above Al’s to pull Demon Hunter Joe into your game.
He does come with a Questline, Good Joe Hunting, more on that in another post.
Demon Hunter Joe does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ & XP!

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event Ends.

Huh, that’s ironic, I don’t have leprechaun and I still need 3. That’s telling me one of three things
1 I’m having good luck (hahaha, not).
2 Your having bad luck (we checked the luck rate, and it’s working as intended.
3 It just proves that buying premium content help in no way at all. Unless your TC.

I have no idea how long it is between Meg being possessed, but it seems to be averaging between 6 and 10 hours for me, and getting the mutton chops is taking me significantly longer that it took for the other items. Why is is faster to get the rare and extra rare items than it is to get the uncommon? *chuckle*
Also, I am confused about the timing of this event. According to the home screen, there are 8 days left of case 2. But that puts the end of case 2 on the 28th, and the FAQ states the event ends on 11/2? Is there possibly going to be an extension to make up for the delaying the start, or are they just going to abbreviate the final case to 5 days?

Case 2 ends on the 28th, then we will possibly have a short Case 3 to wrap up the event.
The uncommon drop has a mind of its own, always has, no controlling it, lol. And I’m finding Meg gets possessed around 7-8 hours apart.

The items to get keys are five though (sulphur being the third), I assumed we still had 2 cases to go?

A new item will possibly enter the mix as part of this case, just like Case 1 had 2 items, Ectoplasm and then Cosmic Radiation.

I’m totally stuck. I have every piece but the mutton chops that only Meg drops. I have gotten one and I’ve cleared her at a dozen times since. The drop rate for this is seeming more like a rare. I was hoping to come here and see a common flaw but instead it looks like I’m in the minority. I shall continue my quest. Lol

I would say I got every other clear but then nothing for a day until started drop again. The uncommon drop is usually like this, no rhyme or reason to it. Hope you get little run of drops now.

Great site – really helpful! Unrelated to this post but can anyone give me any tips for finding a character that’s gone AWOL? I released Carl, he’s been performing tasks for me but he vanished last night. Tried the inventory, tan lines and a bunch of buildings. Can’t find him anywhere!

Have you an outstanding task on his Questline, if so hit go on that and it should take you to him. Apart from its looking around your town and checking the buildings his indoor tasks are in. If still no sign you need contact TinyCo using your in game support.

you can also use facespace. If you go to the characters page and close it with the X in the top right it will center you on the building they are in. If they are in the hotel, it does not zoom you to the hotel.

He’s actually in Facespace under new characters, in the 12th row of that group in my game. So here’s what to do, zoom in your screen on any building in Quahog, then press your Facespace icon, go down to new characters, find Carl, as I said he’s in 12th row in the middle for me, depending on how many characters you have this may be different but he’s in that group somewhere. Click on his character to bring up his profile, then close his page using the X and if he’s in your town your screen should go to the building or area he is in. Let me know if that helps.

Did you use the Facespace find? Go to their profile, and exit Facespace from within their profile. The game then moves to the general area where they are.

Most players would only be unlocking him towards end of the week so any drops wouldn’t be of use for the content already released. Whether he has any for future content we need wait and see. I think it’s my favourite Joe skin to date.

I would think that he should at least be able to drop Sage! You know, because he’s a DEMON HUNTER, and that’s how you get the DEMONS to come out! (I know, his regular skin does that, but still! :-))

Bought Leprechaun day it was released and despite playing every 4 hours or so am still 3 mutton chops away from getting him. Not to worry, TC says drops are as they should be… 🙂 🙂
