Family Guy Addicts 
Yeah, it’s March 13, and I just finally unlocked week 2 yesterday. This has been a brutal slog with impossible random drops and way too complicated sequences of things: tap A and hope you collect B so you can have character C search D for over an hour to maybe uncover E (but probably not) which you must attack with character C multiple times to collect F to unlock G.
Missed out on Estrada because I couldn’t get enough handcuffs to drop. Frustrating and unpleasant. What the deuce‽

Current state of game. Shark (rare), needs video poker (1 per three rounds of sending Jerome or Seamus). To get more sharks needs more police tape (3 in maybe three or four rounds of sending every other available person but Jerome who is busy with the poker machine). Good job TinyCo, I was a premium player. I’ve trudged through the last few events because I’ve spent probably hundreds of dollars over the last two years playing this game, which was usually worth it to me because I like the characters and funny story lines, and also because the game had become an investment I didn’t really want to lose. But the Quahog Heat event has seriously broken me. No fun. Considering removing the app.

Got Eric Estrada, but had to spend about 150 clams for the remaining handcuffs.
Didn’t buy Chopper Cop Quagmire because I hate the thought of spending so much on a character skin…not even a new character to level up and put in the hotel, which is also pointless now that I’ve bought Evil Monkey and Tiki Hut and already have dozens of Stewie Sphinx back when they could be bought with cash, yet another pointless currency. Anywho…
Sharks and robbers have completely disappeared from gameplay. Only way to get badges is by fighting Consuela, but she’s now 9 hp, so there’s a minimum 13.5 hour task for Peter. Getting video poker machines to clear sharks also disappeared, but with no sharks, no biggie.
But now I can’t get Lifeguard Lois because of the seashells which are only dropped by sharks…or a building that is only available (maybe) by random drop from a clam-purchased gift box.
And what happened to the event-specific building that dropped clams every 24 hours? That was a good reward for diligence. If you collected every day, you’d come out ahead by event’s end. But nope, also gone.

Just when I think they can’t or wont make an event anymore insanely difficult to do anything during while not spending money, they have succeeded. I won’t be able to do anything after the week 1 content that will get me anywhere unless I somehow don’t sleep.

WTD, TinyCo…first the non-existent police tape, which SEEMED to get better, only to completely stop once I opened Phase 2…argh…now, no tapes and no SHARKS, and ONE (1 – count them, ONE) video poker machine even though I’ve cycled Seamus 8 – 10 times…so even if I was to get sharks, I could only clear one…ugh..Come on, TinyCo, all the good will you put in the credibility bank from the last event is quickly being depleted…What the deuce…

Robbers!
3rd day in a row with no robbers showing up.
Only samples I can get are from Bertram, when I can find him.
Why have rare items and chance Items? Rare items just don’t drop and chance I now call “no chance”.

WTD (wish I’d stayed in week one)!! I only have 2 handcuffs and the timer for Erik ends tomorrow night. Started week 2 this morning and you now need 3 police tape instead of 2 finished the room and got to battle Conseula, not a problem! as I need to collect supplies for buildings anyway! But can’t go back in the rooms to try for the handcuffs because at the moment I need Peter for both!! Conseula is at health 3 so Peter will be stuck battling for 6 hours! The bad thing is I’d finished everything else days ago (Questline, buildings , challenge and the other items need for Erik etc), I’d even bought Quagmire who was a real help and don’t want to have to use more Clams to complete him if I don’t have to. If I’d have known (hindsight is a wonderful thing)!! that the handcuffs were going to be the hold up then would not have completed part 8!! (my mistake).! WTD😟

This is insane, way worse than the Christmas event. The police tape dropping terrible is one thing but I haven’t gotten one handcuff in over 15 tries…15. Bertram zero as well in maybe 6-7 tries. . I feel like even if I bought tape or chopper quagmire I would still not be able to get Estrada. I usually buy a character or item early in events to get a head start but glad I didn’t

It’s not been the best start to an event, I’m going throw up a poll to get idea how everyone is doing in order ask Bunny take info to TinyCo. I’d be grateful if you’d complete it. And also feedback your lack of handcuffs to TinyCo, I highlighted this item as my area of concern at the start.

I’ve given up on actively participating in any events in this game (other than Halloween to unlock James Woods). I just hope I’m able to unlock/purchase MacGyver whenever he pops up in-game if I’m still stuck in week one. (Where I’m quite likely to remain as I haven’t gotten out of week one for the last 4 or 5 events.)

Unlocked the Peter costume easily enough a few days ago but very little happened after that – tape drops have pretty much dried up and robbers have become scarce too. Therefore progress along the prize track is now more or less at a standstill.
I encountered Bertram without really paying much attention to what his role was in this event, so hit him for 3 points within 24 hours & found Erik Estrada at the last minute to benefit from whatever little Bertram dropped for him, but really I’m having quite a hard time caring about anything going on in the game now. Thinking maybe I’ll switch it for Futurama: Worlds of Tomorrow whenever that starts!

the 6th prize of “luxury wheels and deals” should not drop the gloves. that’s one of the few things that will be finished for Estrada before that prize is attainable. anything else would be better. the cards are stacked against us. wtd?

Not one drop of fan mail in 2 days…. approx 15 x 2 hour collections… it’s only rare!

Assuming everything drops and you get no sleep the minimum you can unlock the cop is little over two and a half days. However it’s a rare drop for the tape and an extra rare drop for the handcuffs. Anything can very easily go wrong.

Also spent 20 minutes writing a CS complaint about how bad the entire event has been. Well 10 minutes writing it then 10 more to replace the swearing before I sent it. Now I’ll wait and see if I get the short ‘working as intended’ answer or the longer politician type answer that has nothing to do with my complaints/questions.

Don’t know if a WTD but I’ve battled Bertrum twice with peter and after the first battle bertrum dissapears, it says he’s escaped. But in one case I had 19 hours left on the timer, this can’t be right?

You have 24 hours to defeat him at whatever level he appears, and you defeated him at that level so he leaves and you have to find him again to battle again, Wher you will get 24 hours again.

Sigh… Rare drop on an item essential to the event…I agree with people saying it’s hard to care when they are forcing your hand. Buy clams or don’t get anywhere. 🙁. I do buy clams occasionally, but I have WAY better things to spend my money on in real life. This event is not much fun

Similar odds here. This results in a bottleneck. With tape drops so poor you HAVE to use them on her action if there is any hope of unlocking Estrada. I bought Quagmire costume. In all previous events like this, when I’ve gone premium I find I’m way ahead in the awards department — ready to get all the prizes when they are released week 2. Two days before the next update and I have 3 badges.

6 investigations and 19 tapes used, and I only just now got some robbers. “Medium chance for robbers”, my foot! I even managed to find Bertram on my first try, even though he’s considered low!

i don’t know if it’s a WTD, but anyone notice if you want to get Erik Estrada, you need to get the premium outfit for Glenn copper cop Guigmire in the 3rd room the vault …..? and Eric, but but WTD how can i can Erik without purchasing a premium item … TinyCo WOW

You don’t need Chopper Cop Quagmire to get Erik. Erik is unlockable by collecting stuff, none of which you can only get if you have Chopper Cop Quagmire. If you look at the live post you will see the full requirements for Erik. Chopper Cop Quagmire & Erik can be used in investigations in the Vault

Same as everyone else, police tape.
I finally got Peter’s costume, but still haven’t gotten the helicopter because police tape is rare and bank robbers are also rare and badges cost a rediculous amount of pills.

Chopper Quagmire is totally worth it. Later on if he’s not involved in an event it will be cool just to have him cruising around town on his bike. But yea you’re not going to get anywhere in this event unless you spend those clams! That’s why I just learned to just cruise along, pick up anything that pops up that I really want and don’t worry with how far I get. I’ve already got one job I don’t need this game to turn into another.

It seemed like after I got all the boots and had Peter do his task for Eric, the handcuff drop chance increased.

I really thought TinyCo has listened to the players, but the opposite! For 2 police tapes it now took me 1 and 1.5 days sending all 3 characters 3 times a day, then Lois only got donuts the last 3 times. I still need 3 scanner for Peter and don´t have enough badges for the helicopter. As the drop rates are so extra rare, I haven´t started the timer for Estrada, so haven´t completed pt 2 of the main questline. I feel like the last 2 days were the worst ever. I wouldn´t mind getting more items with better drop rates (like 25 scanners with common drop) but at the moment it is just frustrating.

Serious doubts folks will get Estrada. Handcuff drops from Lois, which cost precious police tape are non-existent. Seven tries and nada. It’s a money grab to get you to buy building that drops them.

I sent an in game support regarding this, I’ve having similar results, got the drops as intended standard reply, so I’ve sent another message. I’d encourage you to do the same as I think these could be a problem.

WTD?!?!?? Getting the main Peter costume for an event should not be this hard. He is still over 400 clams for me at this point. I have over 200 characters in tan lines as they are worthless. Day one premium player but have stopped buying clams as this game is getting harder and harder. Seriously, an event should not be hard if you are buying clams. I am close to quitting this game.

I absolutely, really hate, hate, hate the timed heart meter characteristic they use in this game. I find this particular challenge used by TinyCo in their events is the most intrusive. There is no pay off if the challenge is not completed. Resources and time are completely wasted if you don’t stay on top of this game aspect by checking in every few hours during the 24hr time challenge. We all know how important time AND resources are in this game so if life unexpectedly interferes during the heart meter challenge ***POOF*** everything is gone. No rewards, wasted 24hrs and resources that could have been used to do other challenges. I know it’s a big risk/big reward challenge, but the deflation of not succeeding when you’ve, let’s say, devoted 18hrs to win the challenge but something happenes, out of your control, in the last 6 that keeps you from being successful or any other scenario. This can be so irritating you just want to quit. WTD!!? Why the timed heart meter challenge?

Late in the game because I have a Kindle (same old, same old).
Just got the “Copter” and it wasn’t showing up in my game. Went to look in my inventory and it was showing where I placed it in the game. If I was in move mode, I could see it. Otherwise it was invisible.
So I thought I’d move it to my inventory and bring it back out. Wrong! Now it has really disappeared!

Rare drops that essentially require purchasing a building with clams SUUUCK for those of us who haven’t been playing the game since it launched, haven’t built up a large stash of clams, and are still trying to acquire the clam-purchased buildings from the base game (not to mention haven’t even bought any of the clam-purchased characters yet).
After managing to get all the Freemium characters from both the Presidential and Wizard of Oz events, I thought that things had changed, and the event drop rates had been adjusted to make the game friendlier to non-paying players. Clearly, I was mistaken.
For the Christmas event, I had all the buildings for Monkey Kong *before* I started his 7-day timer, was logging in every 1 – 2 hours, and even got up in the middle of the night more than once to check if I’d gotten the drops I needed to unlock him. Nope!
Then came the blatant cash grab disguised as a “Best of 2016” event, featuring terrible drop rates that were obviously intended to make players spend money on clams.
At first, I thought my inability to progress in events was due to not having played long enough to build up a stash of coins/clams, understand the workings of the game, and learn the strategy involved. I have come to find that actually, the deck has been heavily stacked against me all along.
At this point, I have given up on actively participating in Events. They are NO FUN ANYMORE. I have already unlocked every available plot of land, and am working my way through the Brewery right now. I am probably going to finish up with Tan Lines (already have all the floors unlocked), and then the Graveyard level, and then I’m done, and will consider this game “completed”.
The sad thing is that I considered myself a “hardcore” player of this game. I have logged in every 1-2 hours on a consistent basis since I started playing the game in May of last year, during the Dinosaur event. I am the kind of player that a publisher wants, and a prime target to convert to a paying customer. My girlfriend even offered to buy me some clams for Christmas, but I told her no, because I don’t want to support a game that at this point seems intentionally designed so that the only way to have any success is to spend cash.
Spending real money to advance in a game should ALWAYS feel like cheating. It should NEVER feel like it’s the only way to get anywhere in the game.

WTD!!! I bought chopper Quagmire and the neon tower to move me along but these terrible police tape drops are ridiculous.WTD!!!I am fighting Bertram for the first time and he has an energy level of 6 WTD!!! Love the concept and the characters but what is Tinyco trying to do frustrate and scare off players in week one of a month long quest?WTD!!!

Same here… I’ve battled Bertram twice once @L-3 and once @L-1. Really looking for that 6 heart level so I can clean up on “samples” needed for badges so that I can unlock Po Po a Go Go.
