Yes with the new Quahog’s Excellent Adventure event, we’re getting some new Characters Costumes and one of them just happens to be Colonial Peter.
Let’s throw you some information on what Colonial Peter can do in our silly lil games.
Colonial Peter is a New Character Costume added during the Quahog’s Excellent Adventure event. As with many costumes in the game in order to get him you have to collect lots of stuff! You will be directed to unlock him via the Tea Partying questline which triggers after Pt. 3 of the main Questline A New Excellent Adventure. Tapping on Go will take you to Al’s where he can be made.
Requires
13 Redcoat Hats (Common): Clear Redcoats
12 Tea Pots (Uncommon): Boston Tea Party
10 Gold Nuggets (Uncommon): Peter Jump a Local’s Gold Claim (unlocks at Pt. 4 main Questline)
6 Early American Flags (Rare): Stars & Stripes Seamstresses
Once you have finished collecting all the Materials his Costume requires, it will just take you just 1s to finish up and “CREATE!” the Costume in Al’s. When the timer is up, just tap on the Check Mark above Al’s to pull Colonial Peter into your game.
He does come with a Questline, Tea Partying, more on that in another post.
Colonial Peter does come with a complete set of Tasks! Tasks that will help you earn $$$ & XP! He also has a temporary 3hr event task to clear Redcoats, the task is Chase Off Redcoats.

**Note: Within an Event, tasks may change and vary as the Phases come and go. So some of these tasks will be temporary. Others may be one time use. Some will stick around even after the Event. We won’t know until the Event Ends.

For security that didn’t use clams to know him, how long did it take to get the last gold? Seems like the drop rate stopped on it. Got the first 9 easily. I even have all the flags already. Thanks.

I can’t say as they dropped well for me, but I know some commented they just bought last one out with clams as they got fed up waiting for it to drop, maybe they can confirm how long they waited before buying him out.

Shouldn’t “Clear Redcoats” (or whatever the correct wording is), with a drop of Tea Bags, be on the list of Peter’s tasks? It is kind of the best reason for getting him. 🙂

The profile box is his permanent tasks, above it if you take a peak you will see his temporary event Redcoat task gets highlighted in this info:

I am confused. In order to attack the red coats, you need to unlock colonial peter first. In order to unlock colonial Peter, you need stuff from the redcoats. Am I missing something here?

Just unlocked him this morning. Clearing red coats with Chris just like abbasito said. I have all the necessary buildings that drop stuff for Ted unlocked. Any advice I can re-iterate, is to get as many tea bags, converted to tea crates as possible. That made me fly thru the first week. Having bought Bill did give me a 2-3 crate a day advantage however.

This morning, I finally gave in and paid 10 clams to get last gold nugget that just wouldn’t drop. I will say getting tea crates is a lot easier with two characters working on it.

I did the same… I had everything else for a day and the nuggets were painfully slow. 10 clams isn’t much when I get 20+ each day (Fountain plus TV)

The gold did not hold me up, it was the red coat hats, still needed 2 but decided to spend the 15 clams and get it over with. Had peter collecting tea bags ever since

ever since this event started and the ios app update the game is constantly crashing. every 1-2 mins it just shuts off. i tried to report in game but can’t type it out to send before crashing. can you pass along to TinyCo?

Oh I’m so glad (if you know what I mean!) that someone else is having this iOS crashing issue and that it’s being looked at. Been infuriating few days, especially as I’m missing out on collecting clams from the Estate Fountain – the game always crashes before I have a chance to collect and bail out. And boy, Tinyco *really* doesn’t want you to email them.
