Hey there fellow Time Travelling Boss Battlers!
With Quahog’s Excellent Adventure phase 2 underway there’s a new historical Boss to defeat, Genghis Khan.
Let’s take a look and see exactly how to knock him out and what he will drop for us during this event.

Genghis Khan
Genghis Khan will appear wandering in the Renaissance Playspace once you trigger Pt. 1 of the main Questline, More Excellent Adventure.
You will need Plague Wine to defeat him. There are currently two freemium characters, Quagmire &Ted Logan, and one premium character costume, Joan of Arc Lois, that can clear the Plague Doctors that help you collect the Plague Rats needed to craft Plague Wine. Outwith this there is one premium character, Michelangelo, who has an always drop of 1x Plague Wine. More about this later.
The amounts of Plague Wine needed will be the same in every players game. Many players report success in these battles by stocking up on a bunch of the resource before attacking, I’ve personally done this successfully in the past but really how you attack depends on you. Certainly his longer respawn time is helpful for this strategy. I’m going to stockpile to try hit him to 4X then stockpile again as the 5X takes 12 Plague Wine for that 1 attack, whereas 1X to 4X takes 15 Plague Wine total, and let you get extra Time Capsules from the attack Genghis achievement tasks. So that’s my strategy for this Boss, I’m abandoning any thoughts of hitting him at 5X until I’ve got all the Time Capsules I need.
The rewards are quite generous compared to some recent Boss Battle. You’ll see full details of these in the Rewards table below.
ATTACK LEVELS
The amounts of Plague Wine you will need to defeat him at levels 1X through to 5X are as follows:
REsource – PLAGUE WINE
|
|
---|---|
ATTACK LEVEL | RESOURCE |
1X | 1 Plague Wine |
2X | 2 Plague Wine |
3X | 4 Plague Wine |
4X | 8 Plague Wine |
5X | 12 Plague Wine |
Now I’m going be honest I’m playing with just Quagmire clearing the Plague Doctors at the moment as I don’t have any of the others that help, and I’ve managed to attack up to 4X already, so hopefully other players will find this possible too.
REWARDS
The goodies he drops are varied, he drops Time Capsules which are needed for repairing buildings in Renaissance, Cups of Christ and Vitruvian Man Posters which are needed for unlocking Leonardo Da Vinci..
What you will get at each level is as follows, but bear in mind if you haven’t placed Da Vinci’s Workshop, Leonardo’s drops won’t happen.
REWARDS |
|
---|---|
ATTACK LEVEL | REWARDS |
1X | 2 Cups of Christ, 1 Time Capsule, 1 Vitruvian Man Poster |
2X | 4 Cups of Christ, 2 Time Capsules, 2 Vitruvian Man Posters |
3X | 8 Cups of Christ, 2 Time Capsules, 4 Vitruvian Man Posters |
4X | 18 Cups of Christ, 3 Time Capsules, 8 Vitruvian Man Posters |
5X | 30 Cups of Christ, 4 Time Capsule, 12 Vitruvian Man Posters |
Remember you will need 130 Cups of Christ and 72 Vitruvian Man Posters.
RESOURCE
The battle resource is Plague Wine and so just how do we get it? Well it’s all down to a character and crafting in the general store.
Plague Wine
Always:
Michelangelo Drink Wine For Inspiration (8hrs)
Craft at General Store (needs 2 Plague Rats and takes 2hrs)
ATTACKING GENGHIS KHAN
The battle modus operandi is similar to that of previous boss battles, you’ll find him wandering in Renaissance with a timer above him. You have only 9 hours to defeat him through his 1X to 5X Levels before he escapes.
Tap him and you will get the attack screen. It will tell you 1: How many Plague Wine you need to Fight him at that level, 2: The rewards for attacking him at that level, and 3: How much time you have left before he disappears.
Once you have gathered the required Plague Wine, in the example below it is 1, the Go button will appear. Simply tap it and then wait to collect your rewards.
Remember you only have 9hrs to hit him to the highest level before he will “Escape” (cool down). When he returns, he will be back at 1x. The “Escape” time is 9 hours, and the clam cost to speed up his return will vary depending on what Level he was at when he escaped.
And there you have it the all the info about Genghis Khan and his drops. How are you getting on fighting this historic nightmare? Got any battle strategies to share with your fellow addicts? And are you enjoying the event so far? Tell us in the comments as you know we lone hearing from you.

My genghis won’t recover, he’s stuck in sleep mode all the time. The timer just keeps resetting😭

I wish the downtime would start automatically when the timer runs out. Tonight for example the timer will end just after midnight. So it should be ready to go around 9am but because it doesn’t start till you enter the town unless I wake up during the night to set it going I’ll end up waiting an extra 6-7 hours for it to reset.

Yikes, so if one collects 27 Wines to battle him one complete cycle, then you would get 62/130 Cups needed…which means you’d need to battle him twice to 5X and once to 2X to get the 130 required for Da Vinci, i.e., 57 Wines…which take 2 hours each to create, which means 114 hours (4 days, 18 hours) of creating Wine…fortunately, it’s possible to keep up with just Quagmire as he yields the equivalent of 5 Wines (10 Rats) for every two 4-hour cycles which will take 10 hours to create, so theoretically, you can always have Rats in the bank to create Wine…
Just a really long task…

I hit him to 4X, then let him reset and hit hit at 1X and it counted as the 5 hits. I didn’t go to 5X
