GIANT RATS

These are another of the little baddies in this event and are quite simple to deal with, it’s just more of the tap, aim and fire we’ve seen in previous events. Before you can clear them you’ll need to get some Rat Traps, you’ll get them here:

Rat Traps (Common) –  Jerome Prepare For Health Inspection, Bonnie Catch Rats, Victorian Passenger Train, Case Closed Mystery Box, Buy from Store

Once you have a Rat Trap you will find Giant Rats wandering around your sidewalks. Simply tap one of them to bring up the targeting screen, then move the Rat Trap over a Giant Rat to clear them. I am seeing up to a maximum of 8 in my game.

The event rewards for clearing Giant Rats are as follows:

Per Swarm of Bats Cleared
5 Evidence (Always)
1 Notebook (Chance)

ROBOT PROSTITUTES

You will trigger them and learn about them at Part 1 of the main Questline Cased Closed.  You will find them wandering your sidewalks and you will need to use a Character task to clear them.

Tap on a Robot Prostitute wandering around to bring up the Payout and Character needed, you need either Scottish Brute Peter, Professor Carter or Constance Lois.

Simply tap on SELECT to choose the Character. Please note you can also put the Characters on the tasks directly from their profiles.

Characters Used:
Scottish Brute Peter
Professor Carter
Constance Lois

Task Time: 8hrs.

Chance Payout:
16 Evidence (Always)
1 Walking Stick (Chance)

CASE FILES WEEK 2

You’ll find a full and more detailed post on this by clicking HERE!!!

Think of this as a “CHECK LIST” of items that will help you gather resources for the Event.

You can get to the current Case Files Screen by tapping on the Icon in the lower right corner of the game screen.

Once you complete a Special Order you will see CLAIM appear  above the icon.

You must be mindful of this and tap on the “CLAIM” button next to an order to gain your reward. As I say be vigilant on collecting rewards in order you trigger the subsequent task.

To go quickly to location of a Case File you need to complete, tap on the “GO” icon next to it.

Here is the list of what I currently see in my game for this Weeks Special Orders (as you clear one or progress through Main Questline, another will appear)…

The Case Of The Climatic Reveal

The Case Of The Side Stories

The Case Of The Pest Control

The Case Of The Streetwalkers

The Case Of The London Calling

WEEKLY PRIZE: If you complete 33 of the first weeks Special Orders you will unlock the Weekly Prize. This weeks prize is Benedict’s Manor.

There you have the overall basics to get you started through the final Week of the New Event. Where are you so far? Anything particular you like the most? Suggestions or tips to fellow players? Let us know.

  1. I haven’t received any Walking Stick drops and my Scottish Brute Peter doesn’t even show a drop for clearing Robot Prostitutes. I have messaged TinyCo but haven’t received a response yet

  2. What are the Walking Stick drops like for other players (after you clear robot prostitutes) ?
I’ve had Scottish Pete clear about 5 of them so far but not a single stick has dropped. Says they’re supposed to be ‘Uncommon’ but once again the drop rate for this particular type is more like Epic!
In contrast, the ‘Rare’ drop for Notebooks has yielded a better return with 4 drops from 6 collections.

  3. Seeing mixed comments so far about drop rates being terrible, which I agree especially the rare items from attacking giant rats, while others seem to breeze through just because you have accumulated case files in Week 1.

Juat want to say to those still behind, don’t feel discouraged but just keep to the 3 and 4 hours frequency to collect items to hit the different villains. A tip to get those case files for the buildings: remember to check achievement list and go through one by one. The rewards from task completion will greatly help as the number of files rewarded increases as you complete more tasks. Capiche?
