V Is For Mystery II – End of Event Poll

Hey there readers, I’d like to welcome you to a Victorian Mystery, where today I’m going to be investigating the event that just was, V Is For Mystery II. After 2 weeks of hunting clues, its all over but for the poll, and that’s where we will find out if this event saw you solve the case or fall flat on your face.

So if you can please take a minute to complete the end of event poll I’d be very grateful. Please note for those that experience the jump glitch when answering poll questions, there’s a direct link at the bottom of the page that will help you avoid this problem, just keep scrolling to the bottom.

And just incase you can’t see the poll or find it jumps about when you’re trying answer, here’s the direct link:

  1. Kinda upset I didn’t unlock Dr. Brian Watson. Purchased both Queen Victoria Chris and Constance Lois, plus did the Mystery Box to get Carter but due to the drops for Notebooks couldn’t earn BW. Having spent that many clams he should have been a breeze as a freemium character. IMO.

Overall, I was enjoying this one and felt I was strategizing correctly until the end, when I simply couldn’t get the drops from the rat traps to save my life. I think I went 3/10 today, and had to rush the last three tasks to get traps. Ended up with a net cost of 40 or so to buy out Dr. Watson. Hate it when these end on a down note.

  3. The notebook drops made unlocking Brian frustrating. I needed two more and forked out the clams to buy him (but then got 15 back for completing a Facespace set). Drops should never be that rare, especially in the last week of the event. The new format of finishing the characters’ quest was also a not so kind addition!
    Thumbs down on this mini-event!

  4. I love this mini event and that all were new characters, freemium and premium. My favorite is Stewie Holmes. Dialog was quite funny. I must admit I was initially put off by the sheer number of rare items needed for Dr Watson, but just continue to grind and hope for the best. Still love the achievements method of playing.

  5. I was into this at first, but then it just got boring. Wait 3 hours, kill some bats, wait another hour catch a rat.. log back in rinse and repeat. The first part that I did enjoy was getting to use characters I already had that aren’t ever used. I wish there was more of that. Also, during the sale I finally caved and purchased Human Rupert and Bottomtooth (since the prize wheel never was going to dole them out). Now of the available characters for purchase only Kool-aid man is not purchased.
