Event buildings are sometimes locked for random players, only TinyCo can fix this so let them know through your game support.
GLITCHES & ISSUES
Game crashing on older devices, and those with older/outdated software continues, it may be they can no longer handle the game. What I can tell you is if your device runs on 2gb of ram you may struggle with crashing, if it has less than 2gb ram it probably won’t run at all.

EVENT AREA IN QUAHOG
The event area is an island in the water area, and there are 2 items in the usual event area you need to know about and these are:

These are still the little baddies this week of the event and are quite simple to deal with, just more of the tap, aim and fire we’ve seen in previous events..
As usual will find they wander your sidewalks, you can find them by looking there or using the Squatter Button.
Now with these you can clear 4 with 1 Broken Present, so my advice is to put down just a small area of Sidewalk and they will gather in that one small area making it easy to clear 4. Once you have at least 1 Broken Present tap one and then place the target over them and fire.
I am seeing up to a maximum of 8 in my game.

This Boss will trigger as soon as you start phase 1 of the event. This is your Main Boss this week. You will “Fight” it with Holy Christmas Ornament to defeat it to the highest level possible and obtain the most prizes.
You’ll see it wandering your sidewalks with a timer above its head.
Simply tap it and you’ll see the level requirement trade and rewards. Collect the Holy Christmas Ornament necessary for the battle then hit, eh, “Fight“.
Here is the general breakdown of cure costs and rewards.
1X – Requires 1 Holy Christmas Decoration
Rewards – 25 Snowballs & 1 Santa Hat
2X – Requires 3 Holy Christmas Decorations
Rewards – 35 Snowballs & 2 Santa Hats
3X – Requires 5 Holy Christmas Decorations

4X – Requires 7 Holy Christmas Decorations

You have 24hrs to hit him to the highest level you can before he will rest (cool down). His cool down is 2 hours.
Please note when he returns he will be back at 1x unless you’ve used clams to wake him at the level he went into cool down at.

I’m not sure everyone realizes you don’t have to defeat death to collect all the Santa hats. He will eventually go to sleep and when he wakes up, the counter starts over, making it possible to attack him with less ornaments. It’s slow going but not impossible.
It’s still frustrating tho. Even with Trisha, those ornament drops are rare. Having an extra character doesn’t seem like it’s been a huge help.

Assuming you did a single attack, progressing through quests. It would need 30 ornaments, rather than 25, to amass all hats needed, if you use the above advice, by my calculations

On top of all the comments regarding the ornament drops (which are terrible), it should be noted that the last building to unlock drops…..snowballs!! As if anyone needs any of those at that point. This isn’t the first event to have a useless drop on the last building. My question is why???
This last week has been a let down. Maybe they’ll change a task to add more characters to drop the ornaments, otherwise it will be one of those ‘buy a character and get x number or ornaments’ deal.

Yet another event part that doesn’t make any sense – only one free character (Reindeer Jeffrey) able to drop Holy Christmas Decorations. Even with the ads to speed up his drop rates (6 hours!) I’ll probably end up using clams again to unlock before the event ends.
I’m not understanding the logic here other than to push for more paid play.
Super disappointing since the rest of the event was actually very pleasant.

So in order to unlock Santa Death you have to defeat the wandering Santa Death. The only characters that drop materials are Reindeer Jeffrey and the VIP reward Tricia (with 2 tasks for some reason), and Santa Death (also why).
I’m wondering how this is possible if some people only have Reindeer Jeffrey as the only dropper for the ornament. I have both Jeffrey and Tricia and only have 10 so far.

The drops on Holy Christmas Decorations are terrible. Also, I was 6 of 8 hours into “Whimsical Tricia Have Tea with Grinch” to get the Decorations and the drop changed to Anti Aircraft Missiles. Anyone else have that issue? The FAQ still shows that Tea with Grinch will yield Decorations.

Anyone else finding it extremely hard to get Christmas ornaments in order to fight Death Santa Boss? Reindeer Jeffrey seems to be the only one to drop them and I’m only getting them at around a 50% drop rate. I’ll never have enough to fight the Boss enough times to get the required amount of Santa hats.

Holy ornaments are needed to attack Santa Death, but they are so hard to acquire. Flamethrowers don’t seem to be useful in this third stage.

Is Reindeer Jeffrey the only free character who can get ornaments? If so, then this event is again mathematically impossible without spending clams (and on top of that, Jeffrey is not dropping any in my game). It’s a real pity that they seem to be going with this ‘trend’, especially when they made it totally possible in that event in which we had to collect golden teeth. That one was perfect in my opinion: two characters, 6h task, and common drops; totally doable.

Those Holy Christmas Decorations are going to be a struggle to collect, Tricia has 2 jobs, but can only do 1 at a time, Jeffery has 1 Job, Santa Death has 1 job but needs this material to unlock itself! And then a shrine which has to be bought. I thought the developers would have sorted these problems out by now as they occur every few months. That is the problem with the copy and paste approach to events. The original needs to work before you copy it.😁

I feel like the Santa Death character is pretty much unattainable without spending clams given Jeffrey is the only one who drops Ornaments to fight the Santa Death boss for the required Santa Hats to unlock Santa Death.
The task to drop the Ornament is 6hrs, so in theory you can collect 4 per day.
If you started the final week as it went live, so you have a full 7 days, that’s a maximum of 28. You need 25 Ornaments to unlock Santa Death.
But it’s an ‘uncommon’ drop so unlikely you’re getting 4 per day.
And, again in these rinse and repeat events, the ridiculous decision made for the final character to drop an item required to fight the final boss, which you won’t need/want to do once you’ve unlocked the final character.

OK so only 2 people can collect holy Xmas decorations one is reindeer Jeffrey and the other is the impossible to get Santa death because you need the damn hats that you get from attacking Santa death boss. And you can’t attack him without the decorations that you can’t get from Santa death but only reindeer Jeffrey. Did we smoke a little to much xmas cheer?

Does Tiny Co realize that in order to get 25 Christmas Ornaments to defeat Santa Death in a 5 streak, we would need to collect from Jeffery, diligently, every 6 hours until Tuesday, that’s if he even drops an ornament, since it is an uncommon chance?
I think we need a 2nd character to drop Christmas Ornaments.

Let me see if I have this straight….we need 27 Santa hats to unlock Santa death or one full run through to get all the required hats for the unlock — This takes 25 ornaments. I person (Jeffrey) can collect ornaments every 6 hours. So if I don’t sleep I can get a max of 4 ornaments per day. 7×4 = 28 ornaments. However, most of us are human and will average @ 3 ornaments per day (because we sleep) or 7×3 ornaments or 21 total… which is short of the 25 you need for a full wipe run on Santa Death.

If only reindeer Jeffrey drops Holy Christmas Decorations (Santa Death doesn’t count until you have him) every six hours, I don’t see how anyone could get to the 25 decorations that you will need to get the 27 hats. Probably time to sit the rest of this one out,

You have Santa Death being attacked by flamethrowers but on my game, you have to collect holy Christmas ornaments.
Jamcity have done their usual nonsense. To get the Santa Death character you have to Santa Death boss with the Santa Death character that you don’t have. Your only option to get the holy Christmas ornaments is using Reindeer Jeffrey on a 6 hour task with an uncommon outcome.
To get 27 Santa hats from defeating Santa Death Boss, you have to defeat him with a full run requiring 25 holy Christmas ornaments. Uncommon drops are generally 50% so you get 2 a day, maybe 3 if you are very lucky.
So you are looking at 14 to 21. 6 too few to complete the task.
Not to mention I have already sent Jeffrey off 3 times and received no drop at all, I don’t fancy my chances.

So, to get the 27 Santa Hats needed to unlock Santa Death, you need a full run of defeating the Santa Death Boss, which means a total of 25 ornaments, and the only freemium character that drops them is Reindeer Jeffery, on a 6 hour task with and uncommon drop. I don’t see that math working out at all. Even with an always drop, it would be nearly impossible, unless you don’t sleep and hit him every 6 hours like clockwork.
Yet, I get 5-6 characters dropping missiles, even though I already have over 80 of them.

Once again, they’ve made this week’s main enemy nearly impossible to defeat to the 5th streak, which is necessary to get all the Santa Hats needed to unlock Santa Death. Only one freemium character who drops the Decorations needed, but only every 6 hours and that at an uncommon rate. Even if Reindeer Jeffrey always dropped and the player was able to collect “every” six hours…it’s still Tuesday evening to collect all the required materials. Meanwhile, the premium character this week drops nothing particularly useful, and the Season Pass character has two different tasks to drop Decorations. Either JamCity made a mistake, or completing this week will only be possible by spending money.

Beating death seems impossible. To get 25 red balls it will take 150 hours assuming you collect at exactly 6 hours. A couple collections that don’t drop or a couple of collection times in the middle of the night and you are done.
