Ah Halloween in Quahog!  Where Dogs go pink, Peter ticks off the dead, Quagmire hits on dead chicks…and Meg makes everyone puke with the way she’s dressed!

With phase 2 of Halloween Meg gets a brand new costume.  A costume that makes you want to go me-ew!  And I know you’re all dying to find out more about this new skin for Meg…so let’s break it all down below.  And avert your eyes…don’t stare directly at the facial stubble!

Hello There Clammers!

Halloween has arrived in Quahog!  And Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead.  In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls!  And there’s no cooler way to do that than with Predator!

Predator is an all new premium character introduced just for Halloween.  Predator will not only help you earn Banshee tears BUT you’ll also earn more Ghost traps (to help trap poltergeist) as well!  And I know you’re all dying to find out more about this new character in Quahog…so let’s break it all down for you below…

Halloween Phase 2 Rundown (Updated and Complete)

Update 10/14: Just fully completed the rundown post, with images and details.  Everything you’ll need for the basics is there.  Including a few new decorations TinyCo just added.  Thanks for your patience guys! 🙂

UPDATE BUNNY 2:10 PM EST: TinyCo JUST pushed a fix for the Poltergeists issue. For those players on Fright Level 7 and above, it seems to have impacted the most. So give it a moment to load and you should be good to go. 🙂

They are also looking into the issue of Banshees. Waiting for clarification on spawn rates, etc. Will update once we have more details.

MORE INFO… Banshees should be spawning 2 every 3 hours for a max of 4 in your town at once.  So if you are not seeing them at this rate (you have to have Ghostbuster Quagmire to start to clear them and have them regenerate), please contact TinyCo.

UPDATE BUNNY: Sorry for the delay, was hurrying to get back to a signal so I could pass this on. We have already reported the issues with Predator not leveling up, Grey ghosts not droppin vials, and Poltergeists not counting that are impacting players.  Will update when we get anymore info on it. Our hopes is they can locate and fix issues soon. They are working on it.

Hello There Clammers!

Halloween has arrived in Quahog!  And Peter, in typical Peter fashion, has decided to tick off the dead.  In doing so Peter accidentally opens a dark portal in the Quahog cemetery and unleashes all manner of ghosts and goblins on the city…your job is to help round up these ghost, goblins and ghouls!  And while he’s at it he’s decided there weren’t enough ghostly figures wandering around Quahog that he goes and digs up Diane Simmons!

Glitch Report: Missing Terror Dogs

Update 7:05PM EDT: Just got word from TinyCo that they ARE working on this as I write this.  So hopefully it’ll be fixed soon.  However, still send in those tickets so they know exactly who is impacted.

A note on a few other glitches popping up:

Fragrance Factory- If it’s still crashing for you report it to TinyCo it has to get escalated to engineering.  It can (and will) be fixed, but is on a case by case basis.  There won’t be one massive update that fixes it.  So you MUST send in a ticket so they can fix it for you. They are working on an update to repair as many impacted as possible, just please still hang in there while they continue to focus on the issue and get it resolved. Allow them the proper time to get this done. You still need to send in a ticket as it does help a LOT with the troubleshooting process to see actual games that are experiencing it.

Facebook Accounts/Disappearing- IF you use Facebook to log on to TQFS and you’re having issues with your account disappearing and/or your friends disappearing.  Contact TinyCo.  They can fix this but you’ll need to contact them so they’ll know exactly who is impacted and they’ll be fixing these on a case by case basis as well.  So you MUST send in a ticket so they can fix it for you.

Hello There Clammers!

Many of you are reporting that after you’ve cleared a certain number of Terror Dogs no new ones are spawning for you.  The portal says they’re coming but they never appear.

If you’re experiencing this glitch contact TinyCo via your in-game messaging system (more details on how to here) and let them know you’re impacted as well.  We’ve contact them about it as well, and as soon as we have any more info on it we’ll pass it right along.

For now be sure to report it to TinyCo so they know you’re impacted, and they can see how widespread it is.

Halloween 2014: A Ghostbusting Good Time!

The time has come and the wait is over…Halloween is here!!!!!

More details as we go through them….but for now know that Peter kicks things off…and you’ll most likely get the popup saying reload for an awesome new event..

UPDATE BUNNY 730PM EST: For iOS and Android having crash issues, try again. iOS make sure you are on iOS 6 and completely updated. Android, make sure you download the newest update from the market and running on version 1.3.2.2 for the app. These should help with the iOS blue screen and the Android neighbor visits crashing. 

UPDATE BUNNY 215PM EST: Jailhouse Meg items should stop dropping now. A patch has been pushed from TinyCo. Please try force close/restart to clear this. 

As for the issue of the Spellbook/Portal sticking and not able to clear the task, they are working on it. 

We’re working on a spell to fix the crashing bug with the Spelbook. So far, yelling out “insectum reparo!” has not worked.

ANNNNNNNND They just pushed a patch for this. Try to force close and restart to put it in effect if you don’t see it. 

 

Update 11:55am EDT: Guys we’re working to get the info as fast as possible, but with everyone hitting the servers at once we’re getting the same connection dropped screens you are.  So we as that you be patient and give us just a bit of time to try and pull as much info as we can… 🙂

Also, there seems to be a little “hiccup” when Drunk Programmer Kevin flipped the switch (I guess it wasn’t sobered up enough)…and Android users will see different color tress but nothing else.  It’s coming, just be patient it should hit shortly.

So let’s break it all down shall we?  Remember…we’ll be updating THIS post as we go through everything, so keep checking back until you see the Updated and Complete in the title..

Play Store Update: Halloween Pre-Launch

Update 9 AM EDT: Update is also live on iOS now, so be sure to download it.  Any of our Kindle friends want to chime in to let us know if they have the new version too?

Also, some reports of crashing going on when installing the newest update.  This could be like Comic-Con where if you have an older device the game won’t run on it.  It’s a ton of content that requires a lot of memory and space to run…..so older devices that can’t support it will crash.

Hello There Clammers!

Much like with Comic-Con we’ve gotten ourselves a little pre-launch update for Halloween.  A new splash screen and icon but that’s it so far….

If this is like Comic-Con the “switch” should be flipped once #DrunkProgrammerKevin sobers up in the morning!  (for Comic-Con it was about 7:30am).  Once we see some new content we’ll get it up for you, but for now my suggestion is get some rest….you’ll want to be well rested for Ghostbusting in the morning! 🙂

TinyCo’s been busy the last couple of days posting spoilers and hints about what’s to come for Halloween 2014….

First, they teased it on Twitter…and Bunny wrote a whole post about that and speculation for what’s to come.

Endless Summer Ended, Not Kool!

Update 11:00pm EDT: Looks like Kool-Aid Man is back in the game!  You now have 24hrs to finish collecting him.  This MORE than makes up for the time glitch many were experiencing.  Good Luck!

Update 2:40pm EDT: Per TinyCo: “There was a bug that caused him to end at local time, rather than PDT. We’re looking into bringing him back for 24 hours, so players can finish him.”

They’re working on it…for now if you’ve experienced this glitch and haven’t yet reported it…send in an in-game ticket so they know exactly who is impacted.

Oh and Kool-Aid Man is now Voiced!!!!

Hello There Clammers,

Busting in with a quick glitch report that MANY of you are reporting on…the Kool-Aid Man’s Quest is GONE!  Kool Aid Man Train 90's Style 4

According to many of you the ability to unlock Kool-Aid Man has disappeared from your game.

Not Kool.  Not Kool AT ALL!

So here’s the deal…Yes, Kool-Aid Man was supposed to end today (9/30).  BUT he was supposed to end at 3pm PDT, which is in (just under) 9hrs from now.  However, it seems there’s been a timer glitch in many games causing him to disappear at 3pm local time NOT PDT.  So if this is the case for you…report it to TinyCo.  (info on contacting them here)

Bunny and I have also reported this to TinyCo (we reported this last night…as soon as our New Zealand  friends started reporting the quest ending), so as soon as we hear something back on it we’ll let you know.  In the meantime, it’s important that if you’re experiencing this glitch to report it to TinyCo as well.  They need to see the reports coming from multiple places and not just us.  So make sure you send in the support ticket….
