Hello There Clammers!
Well you all certainly had your share of feedback for TinyCo today! And as always we shared your feedback/concerns with TinyCo…and they responded in a big way today!
They’ve changed up the Affection Meter! Now you can preview what side will earn what prize..this should help you decide which hearts to collect before the next prize unlocks!
*Note: Currently the remaining prizes are locked. Which means we don’t know what they do, if they’re animated, what they earn or anything else about them. We won’t know until they’re in the game. 🙂
This has been a popular request with a lot of you..so now you should know which path you want to take for the remaining prizes! This should help collect hearts in the right direction.
And yes…we’ll continue to break each prize down, once they’re released into the game.

I Want the asylum, TinyCo should not switch it out for the voodoo, they need to remember newish players don’t have all the things.

I like this change. It’s much easier to decide with the preview, but easier IF we can see which prize is a decor and which well us 🙂 but guess it wouldn’t be fun if it’s too easy.
It would be nice if we can dump or do something with the unwanted hearts that we’ve coolected previously like give/trade with our neighbors or just reset it, since once we met the amount required for Prize our meter is reset anyway so we should have to option to just reset our meter and give up all our ❤️ Or . I only say this because I’ve been collecting mostly ❤️ Previously so Im now left with 60 ❤️ Trying to work my way back down and get to 65 💔

I already have one insane asylum but I’ll still get a second. If it ever becomes a building that drops items, I’ll have two building that drop. That Cupid statue will never drop a thing.
And I’m ridiculously happy that they didn’t place another character/skin against Hot Meg. That would’ve been infuriating to have to choose between the two.
I’m sure the Voodoo building will drop usefull items later, but oh well on that.

Already got the Asylum, so I’m going full love with this one. If you did the Valentine’s Day poll, I bet less than 20% of your users would say they went with the hate route.

I can’t believe how much dialogue he did for his character… It’s gotta be the most of any premium character. So, if you like lots of amusing speech, this is the guy for you 👍👍👍

Very unhappy in automatically being given a useless, and quite overly large bumper car decoration. I definitely would have reversed course to get the building. I hope that they consider letting people switch.
I also hope that the two upcoming prizes are not just useless decorations. I’d love Kool-aid man’s girlfriend to be a playable character.

I applaud TinyCo for altering on the fly. I do honestly think this indicates a desire to deliver against their fan base’s desires. I do echo a lot of the community in that I hope the swap the Asylum for the Voodoo Parlor.

I think that tinyco should rewind to before they released Joe’s prize. Just pretend like it never happened, and then release it on the 12th, like everyone expected them to. Also, like others, I think they should swap the insane asylum & the voodoo shop, as I’ve already got the asylum, and I want to get hot meg as the final prize. Maybe if they make the liquor store and voodoo shop available for purchase, I’d probably be okay with that. Also, today was the first time I’ve commented here, and I wanted to thank you for this site. It has helped me a lot with this game. I just wish i would have checked it before I got Joe’s bumper car prize. That’ll teach me.

Its ok I got it to unfortunately once somthing in the game is in that is controlled by you it can’t go away unless you sell it unless you mean release it again to get the other prize but I don’t think they will do that, sorry

I can’t even imagine what it’s like to work over at TinyCo and try to please thousands of fans. It must be like damned if you do, damned if you don’t. I imagine some poor game developer working hard on a deco/building, etc and then having people slam it so hard. Or someone making a decision based on our feedback, thinking they are doing something nice for us, and still can’t please us. I feel sorry for the employees over there. We must make them wanna pull there hair out sometimes.

I’m not seeing anything in Ollieland. It doesn’t have the event happening at all there. Is this a glitch for me? My friends’ towns are all working fine, but Ollieland hasn’t changed in forever.

I moderated and replied to over 600 comments on just this site yesterday with all the issues from the Part 3 prize. My hands are a little sore today, so copy and paste saves me a bit 😉

Most people always complain about not having enough land for event buildings and decorations and that half of them end up in their inventory anyway. I truthfully don’t understand why these people would then get upset about one building that they didn’t get. I’m kinda mad tinyco did this. It takes away the fun of being able to risk collecting hearts and getting a head-start on a prize or waiting to get the prize you want. It would be even better if they covered the prizes so we didn’t know what we got (and didn’t get) until after we had it. Well, except for Hot Meg. I obviously speak for the minority here though since everyone went bat-crap crazy over one building. (I’d rather have the deco too, but I’m already 35 broken hearts in and that’s too much for me to turn back. The building just doesn’t look that cool to me, though I will be glad for the valentines, even if it is just a measly eight.)

I got screwed before this changed. I collected so many hearts that I got Joes item. And because I collected the love hearts I got the carousel thingy even though it still shows it being locked. I can’t remember how many hearts it was because all of the sudden I had this carousel thing to drop and all my hearts disappeared and when I looked at the proses there was Joe and his prizes but the other characters prizes after him still weren’t up. I would have much rather wanted the liquor store. I’m pissed. So people I’m pretty certain of you keep collecting the hearts and end up getting the right number of hearts for that particular character the prize will automatically unlock.

Same here – I never saw the next prize and couldn’t resist tapping couples, then suddenly I got Joe’s “love” prize (already in inventory as it’s huge and unattractive). I do hope they let us go back at some point and start over through the prize list, or win the others some way. I don’t mean to gripe, because I love how responsive TinyCo is and they’re so good about making things available and changing stuff. Maybe they’ll let us spend valentines on them in the end week, or something.

Please switch insane asylum and voodoo shop I worked hard for insane asylum.
I don’t want to have to get a deco just because something more original couldn’t have been thought of even though it’s fitting because love gone wrong will drive you crazy.

What relief they put a building against hot meg. The only thing im left wondering is whether koolaid man’s girlfriend is a playable character, a moving deco, or does nothing like diabeto. I guess ill find out soon. 🙂

Whatever. It still doesn’t make up for screwing over a ton of people today. I lost a lot of respect for the game and TinyCo. They could have given some in game notification that they reset the hearts before the couples showed up so you knew if you tapped one more it gave you the deco. How was anyone supposed to know that? No excuse for not doing that at the very least.

Oh cmon, you lost like 30 minutes of watching and occasionally tapping. It’s not like they set people back to a level where Hot Meg is now unreachable or bugged your clams or coins.
Besides, as they’ve shown with essentially every currency event they’ve ever done they only introduce more ways to gather things as the event continues.

evilhomer – I’m pretty sure Kyle is referring to not knowing about being reset to 74 hearts and then automatically getting the bumper cars with the first couple he tapped, instead of having a chance to see if he wanted to go for the other prize first (and not about being reset to zero hearts AFTER that).

Who got screwed over?? They warned everyone through every source of social media to make sure people knew not to tap the red heart if they didn’t want the deco! They only thing they didn’t do was send a gold plated email to your inbox that said DON’T tap the RED HEARTS if you DON’T WANT the Deco.
Personally, I had acquired over 130 hearts, already and it would have been very easy for them to let us blindly ACCEPT THE CONSEQUENCES of our own actions and not roll back the meter.
It isn’t a set back at all! With them adding 4 more of each disenchanted and enamoured lovers that meter is swinging back awfully fast.
PROPS to TINYCO! I will always enjoy this game if they continue to have their patrons ear!

Even though I’m not 100% happy with the bumper cars being a deco, TinyCo did update it with animation. It looked dull without any cars inside.
I think it was a bad idea to put the Voodoo Shop against Hot Meg. TinyCo should have put a character skin against her, because barely anybody will pick the building.

TinyCo. has changed and then RE-CHANGED everything i don’t understand why people can’t be happy with anything AT ALL. I understand some things need to be tweaked and changed what not, But seriously come on…not every. little. thing. in the game needs changed. 😉

Lame. I got Brookfield insane asylum during the halloween event. They should switch the voodoo shop with the insane asylum. I have a huge section of my city dedicated to the halloween event (great event with lots of prizes and buildings). What am I going to do with a stupid cupid statue lol. They could have came up with a different prize then rehashing the easy to obtain insane asylum from halloween!

I like the Cupid statue but it’s nothing special over the Asylum. That was an easy choice. If they brought Carol Griffin or Lois brother (name?) with it, I’d be wicked happy and about good with characters for this event. 😀

Still unclear if the hearts collected POST the first two prizes will vanish or contribute to the next prizes. Is that clear enough? It’s at least equally as important as knowing what the next prizes will be. SO. As I’m sitting on dozens of Love hearts since collecting the first two initial prizes…., should I factor them into which prize I’m most likely/able to collect with the next update?

The cupid statue looks similiar to the brians amor statue but it’s too small for me to check it.

i’m only a few hearts away from bumper cars, which i don’t want. is it worth it to collect nearly 150 broken hearts to start over, or will that push me too far behind? i want all the other love prizes and don’t want to screw myself. i play obsessively and want to be on track if not ahead, that’s kinda the whole point of being an addict …! 😦

The last one will be tough to decide. I’m getting a Mardi Gras vibe from the Voodoo building and it may give us a head start on the next quest. On the other hand, Meg looks awesome and I can see there may be several quests for her.

Good job girls, and wookie too :-). My concern latley is. I’ve been trying to nuke my town for a couple days and it just freezes and never happens. Just wondering if this is happening to anyone else. I want to make a nice Valentine’s greeting. I did in message to tiny co but no reply. Let me know if this is an issue.

Awesome change! I do love how we are listened to by them, and how they take action to correct when possible. And so quickly, as well. Effectively forcing that big dumb deco on those of us diligently collecting toward the next prize, was kind of a d*ck move, but this at least makes sure it won’t happen again.

I think these prizes are so cool. I’ll definitely try for Kool Aid Man’s girlfriend, and the Insane Asylum. Now for the last one I wish I could have the building and Hot Meg, but since we cannot choose both I’d get Meg. After a bumpy start and some frustrations with the PDA’s, things got better, and thanks to Bunny and Alissa who always help us for smooth playing. 😀

Heh…. I hadn’t noticed that I had been awarded a prize — I thought it had simply taken the hearts and left me having to start over. I found the prize in my inventory.
