Bouncing by really quick to let you know the next phase of prizes will be launching really soon. And just as before… to avoid a MAJOR glitch and you being locked out of the Event… TinyCo’s fix in place WILL reset your Heart count to 1 LESS than the Prizes coming up.
So for you eager collectors of Hearts, if you have too many your counts are about to drop. 124 Hate is what I am seeing. Let me know if you see different on the love side (like 224).
Don’t worry, this will NOT impact the final prizes. Your counts would have reset to Zero anyway once you got the 4th prizes. EVERY level restarts at Zero no matter how many leftover you have.
FYI…. this means to STOP collecting them. Keep the HATE Hearts at 124 and the LOVE Hearts at 249 to avoid issues. Also, if yours has not reset just yet… wait, it will catch up eventually.

My valentines mystery box isn’t working 😦 every time I try to open it or see the prizes in it it resets my game. Anyone else having this problem? I’ve just checked the play store but I haven’t got an update waiting or anything.

A patch was pushed to fix this a little while ago. Try hard closing your Quahog and go back into it. If it’s still not repaired then contact TC… 🙂

I have a problem I didn’t complete the funny valentine yet but when I check the Cupid thing it said that come back soon but however Meg and Bonnie appears but also my hearts are not moving so do I need to complete the tasks in order to do the love/hate thing or not

Is anyone else having a issue with the homemade valentine box? I have approx 40,ooo of them and when i click on the box for 1000 valentines i get a error stating something about empty prizes and then my game resets …i sent a message to support but just wondering if this was a known issue…i spent a ton of clams and have a ton of valentines and nothing to spend them on now….

I opened my game today and it suddenly gave me the asylum as I’ve been collecting hate. No heart reset or anything… So this means I can’t get cupid now? Stupid TinyCo didn’t even give me a choice.

The cupid statue WILL be used to get the Cupid. I still don’t know how, but my game has updated and I got this message.

Hey Bunny… I’m curious what your thoughts are on only being able to get the hate prize or the love prize. Shouldn’t we be able to get both?

No…you are fine… there is a Mystery box for Valentine’s… ANY prize you do not earn in Affection meter will go there as you clear each step. So the 5 you do not get can be won in the Mystery Box. 😉

Oh man I am a terrible gambler. Lol. I went with love hearts before they announced the prizes – liquor store vs bumper cars.. fortunately I read the post by bunny/alissa and before collecting the bumper cars and did a reversal to get the liquor store. Then I went for Kool aid man’s girlfriend. I don’t care whicj prize I got this time but I figured the decoration would be cheaper than the big building this round so I decided to go with hearts so I could focus on the next prize.. but the decoration costs more. Ugh lol I need 75 more red hearts. i hope there’s a chance to get voodoo or meg. 7 days left.. I currently earn 42 hearts a day roughly.. so things arnt looking good Atm!

If you are on 1.6.8 it won’t. Only those on lower will get the reset. You are fine as is.

We did NOT say you get to keep them. We said you just would NOT reset to the lower 124 or 249. You only kept the higher amount UNTIL the new Prize hit. No matter what, once you win the prize… it ALWAYS resets to Zero. As very clearly pointed out in this post.

Correct. The complete patch for Hearts was in 1.6.8. So the reset is more for those without the final patch.

hmmm think i got the reset earlier. last night i was playing and collected hearts so was curious to see where i was at. it showed 168 or something which confused me because i swear i was over 170 a couple hours before that. i’m at 195 now though so seems i’m safe even if this reset didn’t happen yet.

I just stopped collecting i have 304 hearts still waiting to see what the valentines do I have 9K+ of those. been going every 2 hours got Cheryl in two days although it sucks you have to pay clams to access the romantic pathway I have a lot of premium characters that have that option to go just sit and wait then…

Whoever calculated this aspect of the game really needed to either increase the number of people that needed valentine’s help (more prizes), raise the number of hearts needed for each prize or lowered the number of times the PDA’s spawned (ie. Stop spawning after the last prize for the phase was acheived). What I am saying is that getting 350+ hate hearts for an item that is going to cost 125 is just way overkill on the player’s part.

It was players demanding getting PDA couples too hard that changed the aspect. Myself, I would prefer to be ahead and immediately start Meg collection than to be behind and have to collect all of them … then all of Meg’s 😉

Anyone else have their characters not doing any tasks while they wait to see what happens next? I don’t want to have characters start anything and then all of a sudden I need five of them to do a task to collect items.

I go back and forth at times with what I like more playing the game or coming to your site and enjoying what you guys say and everything you put in to the site. It is very awesome and you all are a huge asset to the game and all us family guy addicts !!!!

I think it is a GREAT event. Very lil issues. They are right on top of it all. Like with this. They saw the issue BEFORE it became in issue for players and put it in place. Players complained on the PDA couples so they changed them… twice. Players complained they wanted to see each column items to know what they are going for, so they changed it. By far it has been one of the smoothest events we have seen.

Forgive me for being blunt, but how many times has it been said and I’ll paraphrase it:
They’re right on top of it
They saw the issue before it hit the public and fixed it?
Players complained about such and such, so they changed the game on the fly?
Players wanted to see the prizes but were still not happy, so what’s TinyCo’s next on the fly change to keep them happy
AND I ask you, why do they charge so much for clams and premium characters, of which very few are ever used again?

Most companies do not have the luxury of pre testing to MILLIONS of players. So many issues are NOT able to be seen until that hit all those variations of players/devices. So there may still be unforeseen issues that NO ONE can predict until it hits live.
An idea may seem great to a handful of “brains” coming up with an Event idea, but it may not seem so great to those other Millions of players when it goes live, so why an issue with on the fly changes? I think that’s a good thing. I see no other gaming house doing so. I see complaint after complaint of a game… but it makes no difference.
And what on earth does all that have to do with Premium Items? The Clam ratio in this game is same as …say… the Donut ratio in another game. Premium serves the same purpose here as in ANY other game, to help to pay for all the cool FREE stuff you get in the game. Imagine the costs that they incur with Celebs, lawyers, copyrights, residuals to the creator, residuals to FOX, on n on n on n on. And that does not even begin to cover the cost of employees, their salary, insurance, etc. The cost to keep the lights on in the building, the equipment needed to make all the game items.
The list is endless.
I get you want MORE out of your investment, and they HAVE been improving on that. Reusing premium characters and buildings for drops. Helping those players have a leg up in Events. Etc. Every month they keep changing for the better. They don’t have to, but they do.
Are you saying you prefer a company to NOT make changes? To NOT listen to its players? To NOT care what you think of their game? I for one deal with companies like that on my other sites… NO THANK YOU. 😉

And, most premium characters cost a lot of clams, which can’t easily be earned by free play, so would they not earn more by charging less for the characters, less for the clams and ultimately earn more for their salary and office lighting 🙂

I see it a lil differently than you. Probably more due to my experience for quite a few years now with these kind of games. Glitches will happen and can’t be avoided from what I’ve seen. Any of us wishes they wouldn’t happen, but they do. It is a matter of how on top the game house is with them to resolve the issue.
I know for this game alone, in the almost year it has been out… I have earned about 1000+ Clams at least in Free Play. I get you want them to change it up a bit… they have. When it first launched, things were MUCH more pricey. Overtime, the balance will depend on them and the players buying premium. If less and less is bought… more will be required to keep the game a float. Regardless… no matter how “cheap” they go… I think someone will always complain when an item costs anything more than free. It is the nature of human beings. Especially in gaming.
Feel free at anytime to suggest some thoughts on how they could price it better in your eyes and send it along to them. As you can see, they do listen.

If they charge less clams for premium characters, and less for buying clams, more players will buy clams to buy premium players, end result is that TinyCo earn more bucks from more players

that would be your opinion, but I don’t see how you could support your argument with any facts. my opinion would be some people will not spend a cent on this game (either because they just refuse to spend on an intangible item,or they are not in a position to) so making things cheaper wont improve the balance sheet for tiny co. I think they strike a good balance. Still a lot of game without spending a cent. ( I do spend on it )

Lol I had 524 hate hearts before the drop and that’s with ignoring the pda couples for the last couple of days. This portion of the event moved really slowly.

I’m fine with the reset. At least, I know what I was collecting for. I prefer buildings to decos. And it’s good that it resets, as I would have a lot of Hate Hearts to cancel out to get Hot Meg on the Love side!

It’s strange that this set would require more love hearts than hate hearts, since the love prize appears to be a deco and the hate one is a building.

Mine haven’t reset yet, either. I have 337 hate hearts. Neither resetting the program nor the tablet makes a difference, so you can rest assured you’re not the only one. Hopefully they get to us before the update comes out, at least.

My love hearts just reset from 496 to 249.
I’m not impressed at all. That’s two phases in a row where my efforts were undermined in order to make their program work.
I can understand the first phase because hey, accidents happen but, they had two weeks to fix the issue before phase 2 came and still decided to erase my effort rather than to solve the problem.
I’m out aproximately 400-450 love hearts and I want them back.

Its not undermined. You did NOT know the end result. You would have zeroed out anyway once you got the prize and leftovers would have been lost anyway. Instead… you are AHEAD.
