Hello There Clammers!
Last week I asked for your feedback on the first phase of the Valentine’s Day Event….Who have you unlocked? What have you purchased so far? How are you enjoying the event? And, as always, you guys came through! We’ll get to those results in a minute…but first I want to get your take on the latest phase of Valentine’s Day hitting our Tiny Quahog’s…Phase 2! With Glenda, Cheryl and the Love Connections in Quahog!

Overall it looks like most of you are doing well with the Event so far & it looks like the majority of you have gone with love prizes for each chance. We’ll have to look and see what the results of Phase 2 bring & the results of the event as a whole! But for now, it’s fun to see how everyone is doing as the event progresses.

Can someone please help, go the past couple weeks nothing in my game has changed and I thought that was just what was happening then I read all this an there are more characters? There aren’t any appearing for me? All I have are Ida, handsome peter, Arnold and glenda, why aren’t they appearing in my game? I’m worried that because they are timed events and aren’t appearing in my game I’m going to miss out
should I delete and reinstall my game? Help me out ****** thanks! 🙂

Each phase of the event requires you to complete specific questlines, when you look at YOUR task menu in your game… what tasks/quests are there? List the names of them all.

I just read a previous posting that you need to complete phase two before phase three will kick in. Would this apply to the affection meter and the prizes within?

I have not had my meter change, but I have been collecting love hearts to wipe out some of the 300 hate hearts I currently have.
Also, I am curious, as I am a recent player, just started in January and this is my first “event.” Is it possible to get the majority of prizes if you are not paying money to play? I ran out of time and was unable to get Ida, and am fairly certain the same will happen with Cheryl.

Cheryl went pretty quick for me. Use the dates characters to help with drops.

Hi clammers!
I’m still waiting for TinyCo to reply about the Lois date on the Morning Coffee date event as I’m still unlocking district 8.
I hope they could fix this glitch before its too late as I would like to have the Fire hazard bed with Peter and Lois.

I mentioned I was disappointed TinyCo recycled the Asylum from the Halloween Event, so it gave me no choice on the prize I could get in the comment section. I don’t understand why they thought it was a good idea to bring the Asylum back as a prize for the Valentine’s Day Event.
They could have easily made the Asylum a Box Prize for either Brain or Stewie. If people already had it, it wouldn’t appear causing no loss in Clams.

So… you say you are running out of space from having TOO much, but get upset when they reuse a building? That doesn’t make any sense at all. I prefer them to reuse a building. Gives those with it already an edge and the option to get something else earned. You don’t have to get it again as you already have it. Giving you MORE options than a new player.
Its helping seasoned players as well as limiting the amount of “stuff” brought into the game. My opinion anyway

Hey can anybody give me some advice on storing characters? I am thinking about doing this for a load of characters in my game but I don’t want to lose any important characters.

What if I put a character in storage which is required for say the next event in a month? Will the game alert in some way that I need this character?

Last time that happened it caused a glitch. Now…should work better. But don’t know til you try it

So went into the came at 5pm to collect from buildings and shoo out the PDA couples and my hate hearts were at 378. Came back now at 5:36pm and now they’re at 124. What the hell just happened? I wanted to collect enough hate hearts so that when the next phase came out I would be set for the 5 prize and now I probably won’t have enough. This is beyond frustrating and is now starting to feel deliberate by tinyco since it happened with joe and is now happening again it seems on the 5 prize. It really dosent make me want to continue playing this game if I’m going to be penalized for getting a little bit ahead in the game.

You just answered it yourself… it happened last go round. We warned of this happening. If you have TOO many hearts for the next prize, it will cause a MAJOR glitch and lock you out of the event. So to combat this… there is a fix in place that will reset your hearts to 1 less than the next round. As it reset to 124, that means the next one is 125… so you log in… verify that’s the prize you want when they release the next Phase… collect one more heart… and the prize is yours.
Regardless, no matter if you had a million hearts… they reset after EVERY prize to zero. So you start from zero for the 5th prizes anyway. Anything used this coming round would have been lost anyway.

It would have been easier if TinyCo stopped Couples from spawning when there was no prizes to unlock. Players won’t get too ahead and the glitch would be avoided.

I actually prefer that they don’t. It is always better to get ahead then be behind and people panicking not enough time. 😉

My “hates” for the next prize just reset to 124 from just over 300 so I’m assuming the next prize level for hate might be 125? I am way too excited about this…

So, why have I gotten hate hearts whenever I’ve paired someone with Jesus? It doesn’t seem right. And why can’t some others, like Jillian, the Mayor, or Cheryl, go on walks?

There has never really been a time since the game launched that ALL characters do a task. I doubt there ever will be. Others are usually reserved for separate tasks. The ones involved usually are based on those that most ALL players will have and some Premiums tossed in for those players that play Premium.
As far as payouts… check the Valentine’s 101 Dating lists. MAJORITY pay Hate hearts. The Love ones are rare.

So I just logged into the game again today and I lost 300 hate hearts. Had 424 when I logged off last time and now only have 124. Any idea why this would be? The new update isn’t out yet so I don’t think its because of that, but I could be wrong.

If they are prepping for the release (which normally hits in about 30 mins) and they are doing same as last round to avoid a glitch…then yes… they will reset them to pre-empt those issues.

I wonder what the results would have been if there had been an option to indicate you got stuck with the love prize for Joe because there wasn’t any warning that it had gone live. I know I’d gladly have taken the time to earn the hate hearts for the liquor store if there had been some sort of pop up that I was about to get locked into a prize with a single tap.

Tiny Co is awesome. I accidentally finished Cheryl for clams (used like 150) and I messaged them to see if there was anything they could do. They said they couldn’t revert my game to before I unlocked her but they did give me at least 100 of my clams back. Never had this high level of customer service from any game that I have played before. Thank you Tiny Co.

I’m guessing Joe shows the widest margin (so far) because many people auto-won the love prize before knowing what it was and many others decided not to bother going from 74 love to 75 hate just to get a building. I thought it was worth it though, so I personally backtracked. I’m glad I did since that building dropped violins for Cheryl. (Also, I just realized I wrote Glenda instead of Cheryl in my feedback section on that poll…oh well.) I ended up choosing hate for Lois. I didn’t love the prize (though it will look good with Quagmire’s stuff) but I figured after spending so long going back down from 74 love to 75 hate I should go with the cheaper option so that I’d be back on track with where others are heart-earning wise. Knowing Koolaid Man’s Girlfriend was a walking NPC/decoration might have changed my mind, but I’m happy with where my hearts are currently (I’m aiming for the Insane Asylum since I wasn’t playing during the original event in which that was released…I think I’m a little over 220 hate currently).

Joe’s affection prize percentages were as I expected for completed people. I think most people got the bumper’s by default when TC dropped it early (leaving most of us one short and then didn’t inform us with a splash announcement, so when we saw the PDA’s spawned we started clearing due to time restraint (I know 3 minutes is a long time, but I will confess to still feeling rushed at this point last week) and scored that one heart to claim prize). Then of the uncompleted people many were conceding that they didn’t want to reverse 100+ hearts, so they continued on for love. Still a little surprised at only 65% going hate, however, as I expected it to be 10-15% higher due to the event help that one offered. I, for one, always try for a money/exp over a deco even though I am maxed out on experience and am pushing 2.25 million coins.
